Taggerung

'The clan of Sawney Rath could feel their fortunes changing, much for the better.'

Sawney Rath, ferret chief of the Juska tribe is hatching a plan. His seer has prophesized that a Taggerung has been born, a legendary creature with extraordinary fighting skills - superior to all others in strength, fleetness of foot and stealth. Sawney is determined to hunt the babe down, raise him as his own and bring glory to the Juska clan. But there is more. The seer has seen a hawk strike a dove in the air, their cries giving out a bell-like sound. Sawney demands to know what this omen means. The seer smiles triumphantly. 'It means that the Taggerung will be a creature from Redwall Abbey!'

One peaceful summer morning, a big male otter carries his newborn cub through Mossflower Woods to the water that runs from the river to the sea. The babe delights his father by taking to the water and swimming straight away. But this is no ordinary babe. In the palm of his right paw is a four-petal mark, like a tiny blossom, which, unknown to his family and friends, marks him as a creature apart. From the bushes a ferret is drawing his bow.

So begins a tale of deceit, treachery and betrayal - but also adventure, loyalty and courage - where the true spirit of redwall is tested to the full. Brian Jacques weaves myth, legend and high adventure with masterly skill in this thrilling story of goodbeast raised as savage, which will keep his readers enthralled from the first page to the last.

Triss

Enslaved by the evil ferret King Agarnu of Riftgard, and his cruel daughter, Kurda, the brave squirrelmaid Triss plans a daring escape by sea.

At the same time, far away in Salamandastron, three young companions sail away from their mountain home too, but for a very different reason - they are seeking adventure.

Meanwhile, in Mossflower Woods, a pair of wandering Dibbuns accidentally discover the long-lost entrance to Brockhall, the most legendary home of the Badger Lords.

The three groups of travellers are drawn together by fate, when Triss comes to Redwall, and the inhabitants of the abbey find that they have a new champion - someone brave enough to carry the sword of Martin the Warrior and face the evil that threatens them all.

In this, the fifteenth novel in the Redwall epic, Brian Jacques once again looks to the history of the sword of Martin the Warrior for his adventure, and introduces a new and unforgettable heroine.

Urso Brunov

This tall tale from Redwall creator Brian Jacques features a brand new hero: Urso Brunov, the Little Father of All Bears. The strongest, wisest, bravest bear in the world, he is also the smallest, no bigger than the size of your thumb. Other animals of the forest stand in awe of him-except one: a mustached monster who captures four of Urso's bears and puts them in his zoo, but who learns all too soon that the Little Father is truly a force to be reckoned with.

On his way to rescue the lost bears, Urso Brunov matches wits with a tribe of boars, teaches manners to a billygoat, skims across the Deep River on a wooden flute, and finally confronts the Lord of All Sands. He'll get those bears back, never fear-believe him, for he is Urso Brunov!

Voyage of Slaves

Adrift in the Mediterranean Sea, Ben and his loyal dog Ned—cursed by an avenging angel to roam the earth forever—fall into the clutches of the Slave Lord Al Misurata. Thus starts a roaring adventure, ranging from the Libyan coast to the Italian border.

Survival is a daily battle over land and sea, as Ben and Ned gain good friends and encounter ruthless enemies in their quest for freedom. At times possessing nothing other than their wits, they must rely on one another to defeat the forces of evil.

Brian Jacques, master storyteller and author of the New York Times best-selling Redwall epic, turns yet another page in the log of the Castaways of the Flying Dutchman—a rousing yarn full of high-seas adventure!

Wind in the Willows

KENNETH GRAHAMES’ CLASSIC comes alive in this gorgeous, annotated homage to this beloved masterpiece.

An instant bestseller on its initial publication in 1908, The Wind in the Willows has become one of the greatest books in children’s literature. Hundreds of illustrations illuminate the adventures of Mole, Mr Toad, Badger, Otter, Ratty and all the other favourite characters. In addition to notes on automobiles, picnics, gypsies, caravans, English mansions and peculiar dukes, scholar Annie Gauger has uncovered extraordinary new material on Grahame, his troubled family life and the origins of the story. Her preface puts Grahame’s work in historical and literary context and she provides biographies of all the illustrators. With a stirring introduction by best-selling author Brian Jacques, The Annotated Wind in the Willows promises to become the authoritative edition of this classic work, published in time for the 150th anniversary of the author’s birth.

Lavishly designed and elegantly laid out with illustrations throughout, this edition includes all the original illustrations by Paul Bransom (1913), Nancy Barnhart (1922) and Wyndham Payne (1927), along with the three illustrations from the first Methuen edition by Grahame Robertson. Also included are illustrations by Arthur Rackham and works by E.H. Shepard, along with rare family photographs.

The Angel's Command

Master storyteller Brian Jacques is back at the helm with a double adventure: a perilous sea chase followed by a gripping escapade in the mountains of France!

Ben and his Labrador, Ned, castaways from the legendary ghost ship Flying Dutchman, swore never to go to sea again - but a mishap in South America lands them aboard a French pirate ship with not one, but two villainous sea captains in pursuit. To make matters worse, Ben is still haunted by visions of Captain Vanderdecken, whose ghost seeks vengeance on the former cabin boy.

A daring chase through the shark-filled waters of the Caribbean ends on the coast of France... from where a new adventure begins.

Ben and Ned flee to the Pyrenees, where, with a new troupe of friends, they find themselves confronting bandit gypsies, evil sorcery, even an avalanche!

In the author's own words, "The Angel's Command boomed forth from my imagination like a cannonball!" This thrilling, rollicking adventure ranks with the very best of Jacques.

Castaways of the Flying Dutchman

The Flying Dutchman! The legend of the wind-tattered ghost ship and its mad sea captain, cursed to sail the seas forever, has been passed down throughout the centuries. But what of the boy and his dog who were trapped aboard that ship? What was to become of them?

Send off on an eternal journey of their own by an avenging angel, the boy and dog roam the earth throughout the centuries in search of those in need. Braving wind and waves and countless perils, their travels lead them to Chapelvale, a sleepy 19th-century village whose very existence is at stake. Only by discovering the buried secrets and solving the dust-laden riddles of the ancient village can it be saved. This will take the will and wile of all the people - and a very special boy and dog.

This is Brian Jacques as you have never seen him before!
