The young hare Buck was marching at the back of the pack with his friend Krista. The two were having a muttered conversation as they went. "So, have you ever visited the abbey?" he asked. "I've heard the scoff is top notch, wot wot!"
Suddenly, Lord Barrenstripe lent back and bellowed out at the top of his lungs, "ABBEY SIGHTED!"
A mighty cheer rose from the selected group of hares. They were all tired from the march and couldn't wait to try their first taste of the famous abbey vittles.

OOC: Skipper and Maudie, your characters heard the yell and can go off to tell the abbot please.

"Preety manners they 'ave," Krista said. She always said "pretty" as "preety". "I'm a hare, and if ya don't believe me," Krista stepped out from the shade of the trees, "See, hare." She then whispered loud enough for the other hares and Lord Barrenstripe could hear, but not the ones on the battlements, "We're here to eat all the scoff."

Lord Barrenstripe stepped out and, in a booming voice, yelled, "Look, Brainy, or whatever your name is, we're here from a personal invite from the abbot to join your abbey beasts in the feast tonight! I hand-selected some of our finest Long Patrol hares to come with me! So let us in!"

Buck, realising his lord was in one of his moods, stepped forward. "Ahh, excuse me Briony, ma'am, but we're here for the feast, wot wot? We'll help set up and all that, don'tcha know. Ummm, once the abbot comes, would it be too hard of you to let him let us in?"

___

Abbot Daniel was strolling along the pond with Foremole when Pinetail rushed up to him. The ancient mouse smiled as he approached and said, "Ah, hello friend, how can we help you?"

‘A badger lord!’ said Aleeta, dancing from footpaw to footpaw. ‘What does one look like, Briony?’ The ottermaid danced her way up onto the walltop, and looked down. She looked back with a shocked expression. ‘They’re coming to the feast with us??’

Abbot Daniel smiled and winked at the others, and then muttered, "Yes, they will be honoured guests. The Long Patrol hares and the badgerlord are friends of our abbey, so I personally invited them. be careful, they can eat!"

He then leaned over and yelled to the visitors. "Come in! Welcome friends!"

He then rushed over and opened the gates.

OOC: By the way, Daniel can be controlled by anyone.
