Escaping the Redwall Universe (All May Join)

Barbossa Sparra snuck up behind Daniel and pulled out his sword. The feared mouse corsair didn't know what to think of them. He put his sword right up to Daniel's neck and said,
"Ahoy there! What have we got here?"

OOC: Wait a minute, where are you? You've said you left Matthias and you're now at the abbey gates, and now you're magically back here? You can't be two places at once! And also, you've autoed my character (you took control of him without my permission when you said you put a knife at my neck).

Redwall! The name resonated in Matthias' head. Of course! He had ended up in the world of his favorite book series. Eyes wide, he looked at Daniel. "You can really take me to Redwall?" He thought to himself, "Either this is an incredibly lucid dream, or something crazy has happened." Then he became aware of the scone in front of his face. "Oh, and thanks for the scone." He received it gratefully, and took a large bite out of it.

Barbossa failed when he tried to sneak up and tripped over landing right in front of Daniel and Matthias. "Agh! What the!" exclaimed Barbossa jumping up. "Who are you two?" he said whipping out his sword.

The otter smiled at Brigg, who seemed genuinely interested in helping him.  Gee, I guess I'd better stay on the good side of these guys, at least until I figure out what it is I'm doing here and why.

"Thank you very much for your kindness, uhhh," paused the otter when he realized he hadn't caught the name of his companion.  Come to think of it, he didn't know what he should call himself.  What do otters call themselves? he thought awkwardly.  If he gave himself an unusual name, then he'd really stick out, as if his sloppy ability to walk wasn't enough.  "I'm sorry I don't believe I caught your name," he added quickly, "mine's Whitewater."  Hopefully that didn't sound too odd for an otter.

Whitewater made as if to follow Brigg, but continued to stumble as he walked.  He could see the whole group in the hallway just staring at an otter they didn't recognize and apparently must've looked drunker than drunk.  How embarrassing.  Maybe some food would help.  He gratefully followed the rat down the hallway.

Silverstorm narrowed her eyes at Lily. She wasn't making any sense, so the badger went back into the hallway. She nearly crashed into Brigg and an otter behind him. "um...who are you?" she asked the otter warily.

Brigg duffed himself lightly on the head and laughed.

"Ah sure, I forgot to introduce meself.  I'm Brigg, and our squirrel friend here is Ash--woah now!"

He nearly walked right into Silverstorm as the badger came out of the dormitory.  He managed to avoid running into her but stumbled slightly.  She seemed irritated.

"Um... who are you?"

Brigg gestured in Whitewater's direction and smiled.  "This 'ere's Whitewater.  I jus' found'im here in the dormitory.  He's feelin' a bit confused yet, y'see.  I'm takin' him to be fed."

Daniel smiled as he watched Matthias eat. He spoke in a conversing manner to the other mouse and the other creatures around him. "Aye, I can take you there. It's about a day's journey or so from here. That depends on the weather and a few other factors, of course. I've never been there myself, but I've seen it from the outside."

He jumped back as Barbossa came out from the bushes. He jumped back again as the mouse drew a sword and barked at them, "Who are you two?"
"I was just about to ask the same of you," he replied. He then said firmly, "Put away that sword. We mean you no harm if you mean no harm to us."

I don't mean to hurt ye I just though y'all were vermin." said Barbossa putting his sword up. "I'm Cap'n Barbossa Sparra." he said offering  out his hand, "Who are you?"

While Brigg was talking to Silverstorm, Ashe made his own introduction, "On the contrary to what our friend said, my name is Ashe,not Ash," The squirrel had a mischievous light in his eyes... But something was bothering him, "Ummm.. I don't know how to ask this, and maybe you already answered it, but... Do you know where you are? Or even what you are? You seem to have trouble with such simple things as walking. I don't mean to pry, just curious." Ashes' face changed from quizzical to warm and friendly in the blink of an eye.

Whitewater did not even have an opportunity to take two steps behind Brigg before they nearly ambled into a badger.  The sudden stop nearly caused the otter to fall on the rat.  He balanced himself on the hall wall and looked around.  The black squirrel was now following him too.  His questions towards the otter didn't make him feel any better.

"I just need to eat first," said Whitewater, point-blank, and added for good measure "I'll be a little more sure of what is going on then."  The otter didn't want to be curt, but frankly he had no answers.  The best way to deal with a problem is just to shrug the question off until it can be answered.  Maybe once I eat I'll be out of this dream too and I won't have to answer anything! he thought.  He rose off the wall again, hoping he could just get some clothes and food for the moment.  There were way too many questions and...creatures around for his liking, especially when he still had no clue why he was an otter.  He looked at the badger who seemed to mean business.  "I'll be sure to explain everything once I've eaten," he said, in hopes this would satisfy all of them.
