OOC: I guess people kinda forgot about it, what with all the new RP's starting up and all. BIC:
Streamblaze was still entirely stumped as to the riddle, but she resolved to not give up. Then she looked up, startled, as she heard a scuffling sound. Lady Amber staggered in leaning heavily on an oak stave. "Hey, Streeamblaze," she called. "Mind if an injured squirrel helps you?"

Maypetal repeated some of the poem:
"
Across the plains, far to the cold lands
A warrior queen waits with book in her hands
She lusts for a blade, with longing to see
But that blade belongs to me
Well it seems Martin doesn't want this warrior queen chap to get his sword." Maypetal sat down on the grass.
Sundew picked up th next line:
"
Follow the creature cross arid land
To homes buried deep in the sand.
"
She knew of such a place from stories her father had told her. "That must mean the Western Plains," Sundew said aloud, "It's the next line which stumps me: 'The sea in the woods to find'. I've never heard of a sea in the woods."

Lady Amber thought that one over. "Sea in the woods. Well, it
could
be a play on words. Mayhaps there is a giant letter C, or we need to see something that lies in the woods. If not, then it could be a drawing or painting of the sea for all we know."

"Whatever it is, we probably won't know until we see it." Trinn said "Maybe we should figure out as much of the riddle as we can and than figure out the rest on the way?" she suggested.

Tey looked up from writing down the ideas.
"It seems like we have enough to go on for now. Once we get to the first place mentioned in the poem there may be another clue."
OOC~Tey is going as well. Who wants to start off?
Sorry about not being on. I've been studying for a bio Exam. Ick!

"So you don't like me, is that it?"
With the panic he felt the previous night forgotten, Terrus glared down at the sword that he held in his left paw.
He had managed to find a path, in spite of all of his pursuers, and get back on to what he believed was the right direction. Now that the sun was up, the thief could clearly make out everything in the forest; keep traveling west, and he'd be bound to get where he wanted to go.
The only trouble was the freed prisoner. The vole had never imagined that someone would be against being rescued, but every impression he had gotten from this sword was bad.
"I almost wish I hadn't gone to the trouble of saving you, if you're going to treat me like this," growled the vole, as he stowed the sword back in its carrying place, safely away from Bonny, who, while normally unflappable, was getting annoyed by the newcomer's attitude. Well,m no matter, a while more and this lunatic blade would be safely with the marten. Let her resolve its mental problems.
Terrus knew that eventually the slavers would send out a party to attempt to catch him, but he happened to know how he could shake them off. His crazed, yet cunning mind calculated out his plan for escape.

Joey nodded. "I'm with Tey on this one. I vote we get going!"

"I say, what are we doing 'round here for then, wot!" Sundew said. She walked out of the gate. The wind made her skirts dance around. She laughed and began to dance with the wind, letting the others pass her by.
"Come on Sundew," Maypetal said, "No time for that now." She grabbed Sundew's hand and Sundew stopped dancing.
"Right! Let's be off!" Sundew began marching into the woods, heading west.
