Here is a few snippets of poetry and songs from my Redwall based epics.  Sorry it's not a "story" per se, but I will get another short out there for you all soon!

From The Sword and His Flowers:
When happiness finds you,
Hang on to it tight.
Remember it, cherish it,
Lock it up right.
Protect it for always,
But not just for yourself,
Hold it for others that
Do not get its wealth.
For all of those who deny
Themselves joy's pleasure,
Put the happiness of others
Above their own measure.
For the one who left
His heart open to bleed,
And denying you knowledge,
Of yet another great deed.
I kept my promise,
Not within Abbey walls,
But here at Saint Ninian's,
Until the right creature calls.
Your story, your sacrifice,
Your greatest secret,
The sword and his flowers,
In our hearts, we will keep it.

Rose's song from The Sword and His Flowers:
"You were my world, my soul,
You had my heart in tow.
You were then everything to me,
All I could ever want to be,
And I hoped you
would not let go.
But you did,
You turned away
And left me all alone.
Your absence left me chilled
Down to my bones.
The love I thought was lost,
We did pay the highest cost.
And I never thought
I would ever find you.
But now I see the love in your eyes,
All of the stars and all the dreamings
Come together.
When I hear the heart in your voice,
All the pain and all the memories
No longer matter.
As long as we're together,
We will find our way.
Now as the wind blows tonight,
I just hang on you tight,
You are my hope
And you're my dream
You're my everything between,
And I can tell you
I will not let go.
Of this feeling I feel when I am close to you,
And of the love that we have found.
It keeps growing everyday,
It keeps all my fears at bay.
And whatever comes our way,
You'll be there to save the day
With your arms around me
There we'll stay.
When I see the love in your eyes,
All of the stars and all the dreamings
Come together.
When I hear the heart in your voice,
All the pain and all the memories
No longer matter.
As long as we're together,
We will find our way.
With the love that's in our hearts
We will endure,
No mat'r the cost,
And together we will keep
True to our bond.
The stars will veil their eyes
And let us hide here for all time.
And forever we will
Always be together.
I will always be with you."

Sailor's Song from The Sword and His Flowers:
"Lo, there you see them,
Marching with banners high,
Yelling their cries to the sky.
Brave ones and warriors,
The scum will be sorrier,
When the battle is nigh.
Gold sails and treasuries,
Sparkling keen in the night.
The red prince did leave,
But his courage we keep
And keep fighting for him
Through the night..."

Southsward's Fighters Song from The Sword and His Flowers:
"So pick up your spear
And now break out the lance,
Throw your banners in the sky!
The vermin will bled
As they are pushed to their knees
Just use your shield as the arrows fly bye!
So sharpen your axe,
And then heat up the flames,
Roll the sword till its smooth!
Leave no edge untouched,
Don't weigh down too much,
You'll need to make sure you can move!
So, march, oh, laddies, march,
Over the hills we go,
We'll not come back till we're through!
Raise up the banners up high,
Yell our cry till its nigh,
And if we're lucky we'll see the mornin' dew!"

Poem from The Sword and His Flowers:
"The bell will ring,
One clear calm day,
When the seasons' cycle ends.
And the flower will sing,
Where the Warrior stays,
As the family will slowly mend.
Their decedents will bring,
All his courage to bay,
Against vermin hordes, they'll fend.
And they'll both smile down,
And welcome them home,
To the circle no beast could bend."

Loukin's Marching Song from Elderstar:
"When I was a lad,
I did see many things go
The to and from and afterwards of battles!
And I never could decide
If to see with my own eyes,
Would make the vict'ry sweeter
Than the pain felt!
When then it was my time,
And I fell into the line,
I felt the angst and hopelessness before me!
Then a brave smile I felt,
And my worries they did melt.
We could not fail at all with his bravery!
So you walk the dirt path,
And I'll swim the streambed,
And I'll get to the dark Gates before you!
With a sword held in my one paw,
And my love upon my arm,
And no pain to struggle through in the morning!"

Meinrad's Prophesy from Elderstar:
"Red is a blessing,
Only death will bring,
Awaken the warrior,
A crownless king.
Courage and strength
His bravery true,
A mighty line
Will spring from you.
Out of the waters,
New foundations will rise,
Symbolize the victory,
A peaceful prize.
A place of happiness
A land at rest
A dawn less mourning
A night without test.
The Seasons' have blessed you,
But they ask a boon,
Forsake dear Eutrusia,
For old lands made new.
Their warriors are needed,
They are all called to arms,
With you as their father,
To keep all those from harm."

The Ruspic's Curse from Elderstar:
"Strong in arms,
And strong in heart,
Easily learns the warrior's art.
But twin blessings
Can't undo,
The curse that has been set on you.
A curse to break a mighty heart,
Lay them low before Fates cart.
Seasons' protect from death,
But not from life.
A life's joy is what they'll take.
Ever yearning, but ever true,
Sorrow meant only meant for
The brave and few.
Others weaken, they stand tall,
Their courage will not let them fall.
Their hearts are broken,
But ever strong.
Their devotion solid,
Against it all.
They will not waver,
They'll stand true.
The courage of the brave and few."

Thank-you, I'm glad you enjoyed them.  ;D
Unfortunately, I'm not going to post the links.  You see, my epics are not for all ages (really for 18+) so I do not want to be posting links for things that some audiences shouldn't be reading.  I welcome those old enough to read them and as such can easily be found through FF.  Sorry for the inconvience and thanks again for your praise.

awwwwwwwwwww that's a bummer! :'( :o :'( :o :'(
I mean not being able to read your epics, you're an amazing writer. I mean like really JUST AWESOME ;D ;D

it won't happen at all

Thank-you for the compliment.  I try! *blushes*
I have thought about re-editing my one epic about Martin/Rose to more of a PG rated tale, but it just wouldn't be the same so I haven't.
I will try and get something more of a story posted soon- most likely will be my short story entitled Guided Paws which is about how Matthias came to Redwall.  I'll try and get that out in the next week or two.  Would that make up for the loss of epics?

KitrallStreamrippler

If it's anywhere near as good as these poems then most definitely yes! (For me anyways.) These are amazing!!
A day may come when the courage of men fails, when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship, but it is not this day. An hour of woes and shattered shields, when the age of men comes crashing down! But it is not this day! This day we fight!

WarriorOfMossflower

Wow, those are great! And I will definitely read Guided Paws. You're an awesome writer! I love reading your works (even though "The Fates Are Cruel" made me cry).
In process of rekindling my love for Redwall.

Romsca

Have you written anything about Romsca? (And can I find your stories on fanfiction.net?)

Heh heh....well, unfortunately I know how you feel, since...certain parts...of Romsca's backstory that I was planning on writing probably wouldn't be allowed here either

I'm reading "The Sword and His Flowers". I really like it so far!
Martin the Warrior is way more epic than Mickey Mouse. Anyone who says otherwise is insane, or just wrong.

I'm glad to hear it and hope you continue to enjoy the tale!

Okay, I finished "The Sword and His Flowers". I really liked it except for the rated M stuff. Other than that it was great! I'll admit, I did cry a bit at the end. I am planning to read "Elderstar" next. Hope it is as good if not better than the first one. Anyway, please keep writing your stories. They are very good!

What's M rated about them? I haven't read them, obviously

Ask Free Thought. If not, read the book.
