Hello RedwallAbbey Forum members,

The RedwallAbbey.com forums will be holding its first official Awards Contest! There will be three categories: Best Fanfiction, Best Fanart, and Best Website.


Best Fanfiction

Head Judge: Matthias720

Rules and Guidelines:

1. The fanfiction story must be based on the Redwall series and must be your own work.

2. The fanfiction must be at least 5,000 words, and less than 10,000 words.

3. The story must be a new work, written after this topic has been posted.

4. Submit your story to the Head Judge by uploading it to fanfiction.net and PMing him a link to your story, or you can PM him and arrange a way to submit the story in a convenient way for both parties.

Judging Criteria:

Fanfiction will be judged based on:
-Creativity
-Plot
-Originality



Best Fanart

Head Judge: Taggerung of Redwall

Rules and Guidelines:

1. The fanart must be related to the Redwall series and must be your own work.

2. The fanart must be digital and 2-D (sorry! we may accept 3-D art next contest). Scans of hand-drawn art are acceptable.

3. The art must be a new work, created after this topic has been posted.

4. Submit your story to the Head Judge by uploading it to an image/art host (deviantart.com, photobucket.com, imgur.com), and PMing the link to the Head Judge.

Judging Criteria:

Fanart will be judged based on:
-Creativity
-Originality

Rules and Guidelines:

1. The website must be based on the Redwall series and must be your own idea and design.

2. Forum sites are not allowed (ex: proboards)! You may have a forum on your website but it must not be the only section to your site.

3. The website may or may not be a new creation. If you already own a Redwall-related site, you may add to it or submit it as is.

4. Submit your story to the Head Judge by sending her a PM with the URL to your site.

Judging Criteria:

Websites will be judged based on:
-Design
-Creativity
-Content
-Usability



General Rules

* you will be DISQUALIFIED if you do not follow the rules

* you may submit one entry per category

* the staff members will judge all entries

* Redwall Abbey will have the final say and approve the winners


Deadline

All entries must be submitted by August 31st, 2011 September 15th, 2011.


Awards


There will be three awards given for each category: Grand Prize, 1st Runner Up, and 2nd Runner Up. Each winner will get a banner with their name on it that they can display in their signature or website. Banners will be displayed here later, so watch this space!


These rules will be added to as we get questions about details and other issues. This is our first time holding a contest like this so please bear with us!

We encourage you all to stretch the limits of your creativity and show your love for the Redwall series. Don't forget to have fun with it and good luck!
