One Direction Rant Thread

When I saw the thread, I literally said "What the-" out loud.

I'm not a fan of One Direction or most pop music (especially since a lot of it nowadays are love songs. Not my style, ye know? (I am seriously picking up my characters' accents)).

HOWEVER, point is that I don't really mind these groups. I just leave them alone, I guess. I still wonder how music gets popular, though. What is so appealing about pop music? I'm not trying to be derisive; I'm genuinely wondering.

The only "pop" I listen too is Bruno Mars and Maroon 5.

I don't really care for 1D, but there music isn't all that great. I am just glad they are not abusing their popularity like some (Glares at Justin Bieber).

A boy band that is untalented and extremely shallow, their only drive seeming to be for money and fame, but despite said issues they still have a massive following of fangirls swooning over their apparent good looks.

An army of gnomes riding on rabid purple bunnies stampedes towards the group, a hailstorm of Keebler cookies hitting anyone in sight. The vicous Garden Gnomes speak rapidly In Gaelic. Suddenly pelicans swoop down from the sky, bearing a banner saying "Harry Styles and One Direction claim this thread!", whilst dropping a rain of projectiles from the heavens, destroying any negative One Direction posts!

A pelican suddenly flies int the face of Jet, making it obvious it did indeed happen. The sky goes a dramatic, over-bearing red. But that's blocked out by the nicer white and oranges of the pelicans blotting out the sky. It seems you cannot escape the face of Harry Styles! Coming swiftly towards you is a tide of pointy red hats, and the gnomes and purple bunnies underneath. Over them looms a massive statue of Harry Styles.
