Matthias can add/remove forums from the board (e.g. he set up the new Front Lawns section).  He can ban members.  I can't do either of those things.  That's about the jist of it.

Ah, if he deletes a forum where posts count would all the people's post numbers drop or stay the same?

Also is he the one that PMs people about becoming a moderator?

Global mod - has total control over all the boards and sections

Moderator - has total control over select forums, limited control over the rest  (I can lock, move topics in this section even though I'm not a global mod, but I can't do everything)
