Kitsune

I am pretty sure it is A: Luke Skywalker.

James Gryphon

That's correct. One mechanical hand goes a long way.

Third question for 6 points.

From which source did I get the spelling of the name "Gryphon"?
A: A book
B: A song
C: A video game
D: The name of a company

Kitsune

I will take a hint with this one.

James Gryphon

First lifeline used; I'm glad to see it. :)

I gave the answer to this one in my "Ask" thread (Consult the Bird-Lion), responding to the last question that Rusvul's asked me (so far).

@Sage: Correct.

Second question, for 3 points.

Which podracing course notably featured a space slug?
A: Phoebos Memorial Run
B: The Nightlands
C: Executioner
D: Boonta Eve Classic

@Vilu: All right, for 1 point, here you go:

Which of these characters did Ublaz fail to hypnotize?
A: Abbot Durral
B: Romsca
C: Martin II
D: Lask Frildur

@Jett: FIDE estimated the number of Chess players in the world at about 605 million, which is quite a lot. However, B: Xiangqi is ubiquitous in China. It seems difficult to get exact numbers for it online (from an English-speaking source, at least), but it is quoted as being the "people's game" (not unlike Checkers used to be in the United States), and it's said that half the population knows how to play the game. Half of the population of China is larger than 605m, so Xiangqi gets the nod here.
C. Executioner.

Thank you Wookieepedia.

I can do that because I'm awesome.

SilentSam

I'll use extra answer.
B, and c?
;D~~~~Silent~~~~Sam~~~~Squirrel~~~ ;D
HEHE!

I AM SAM ;D

C: a video game. I read through your whole topic backwards. -.- It only took about five minutes, though.

All right, sorry for the delay.

I had written out a bunch of answers and new questions, and thought I posted it up here... needless to say, that wasn't the case, and now they're gone.

Had to rewrite them from scratch, but here's what we've got.

Change of rules: The "extra time" lifeline is gone. From now on, players will be allowed two days to answer all questions. I think this will help reduce game management overhead and give y'all a reasonable amount of time to play with "real life" breathing down your backs.

@Ash: Unfortunately, you're out of time. You exit, however, with 1 point and a place on the high score list.

@Sage:
That's correct. Third question for 6 points.
What was the color of the lightsaber Kyle Katarn used in his final duel with Jerec?
A: Blue
B: Orange
C: Yellow
D: Purple

@Vilu:
That's right. Here's question #3, for 6 points.
In Microsoft's space shooter Freelancer, which of these was not the name of a star system?
A: Arizona
B: California
C: Colorado
D: Texas

@Sam: B is correct. Here's question #3, for 6 points.
Which of these did Cluny not attempt to use in his fight with Matthias?
A: A chair
B: An iron spike
C: A sword
D: A ferret

@Plugg: That's right. Here's question #4, for 10 points; have a look. Answer it right and you get your lifeline back.
Which of these horde leaders never styled or imagined themselves with any kind of royal title?
A: Cluny the Scourge
B: Slagar the Cruel
C: General Ironbeak
D: Gabool the Wild

James Gryphon

That's correct; good job. I skimmed every page of Mattimeo to make sure it was so, so that question took a bit of research. Ironbeak is referred to one time as "Lord", but that's a noble title, not a royal one. Otherwise, his only styling is his rank.

Nobody else has gotten this far yet. Question #5, for 15 points.

Which of these was never used as a nickname for a forum member?

A: Bruiser
B: Skarzsles
C: Robin Hood
D: Wyldflower

Kitsune

What even.....     Time to reasearch, I suppose. :P I have two days, correct?

James Gryphon

Two days, yes. I do like it when y'all are faster, but maybe I shouldn't (it gives me more time to think up new questions).

Kitsune

James Gryphon

Correct.

I actually thought that one was a gimme, but it was the best thing I could think up at the time.

Question #6, for 21 points. This one should be harder; have a look.

For which of these diets is there sufficient evidence to surmise that I briefly lived on it?
A: High-protein diet
B: Macrobiotic diet
C: Organic food diet
D: Ovo-lacto vegetarian diet
