Redwall Abbey

Skyblade groaned. Why does my bed feel so uncomfortable and weird? It was rough and scratchy, wait...what?

She opened her eyes and recoiled when she saw blue sky. "What?" she burst out loud. And why did she feel so strange and different? She raised her hand and twitched in shock. Fur? White fur?? Her other hand was no exception. And why did it feel like she had a tail?

Sky shot up and saw white fur on her legs. She picked up her tail - it was bushy and had a black stripe. I'm a badger? She stood up, and a rapier sheath brushed her leg. All around her were trees and other plants, and birdsong reached her animal ears. Uh...I'm going to lose my mind...

"What's happening?" she said out loud, pinching herself multiple times. This, though...didn't feel like a dream. It was too bright, too vivid. It was simply too real. She gulped, and tears started forming in her eyes. "I'm sorry," she said. "I'm sorry God, I'm sorry everyone, whoever did this..." Her voice trailed off. If this is nothing, I'm making a fool of myself. She wiped her eyes with a scarred paw. "I like my life. Why is this happening to me?"

OOC: Remember, you're RPing as you ;) Try to be as true to yourself as possible. For instance, what I just wrote is basically how I would react if this really happened to me :P

OOC: How and where do we start?

OOC: The same thing as me, waking up in Mossflower Woods. We should all be relatively close to each other.

Delthion opened his eyes and saw leaves and branches where he had just a few hours ago, he saw a ceiling. He sat up quickly and regretted it, his head throbbed slightly, and it intensified at his abrupt movement. He felt a tail behind him and opened his eyes wide with wonder. I'm in Mossflower! I wonder what I am, let's see, it would seem that I am a mouse!

Faiy lay curled up in a ditch. Sunlight fell on her face and shone in her closed eyes and she stirred rolling over and trying to pull her blanket closer to herself but it wasn't there. She slowly opened one eye but what she saw made her close them again. I am dreaming and I will wake up in my own bed in a few minutes... But she wasn't... and she didn't. She opened her eyes again this time all the way and put her hand up to her face to shade her eyes from the sun. but it wasn't her hand it was a paw. Awesome! She thought. She then got up and climbed out of the ditch. Best lucid dream ever... wait if this is a lucid dream then that means I can fly. She tried to fly but only ended up bruising her knee on the dirt road. She looked around again and realized that she must be on the path to Redwall. "Time to find an Abbey," Faiyloe said starting down the path not really sure which direction the abbey was really in.

Delthion, after finding a path, remembered that even though all of the maps of the series change, Redwall is always east. He looked up and found that it was early morning, and started down the path to the easr, or at least the direction of the path that he thought would lead to the west singing. He walked for a while and then found that he had a sword and a four foot long walking stick! He instantly leaped forward with a wide grin and continued singing.

OOC: the path would be going north and south... and Redwall is east of Sal... XP

BIC: Faiy stooped walking when she heard singing on the path behind her she turned around to see a mouse on the road. "Hey there... Do you by any chance know where Redwall is?"

OOC: Yeah, you're right...I actually have east, west, north, south down more than I know left and right. But that time I got it wrong.

  Eul tried ignoring whatever was scratching her cheek, listening to the peaceful bird song. She loved listening to the birds, they were always so beautiful. She loved birds, and had always wanted wings like them. What she wouldn't give to fly... She stretched, opening her eyes and hesitating. Wait..... what? Ummm, just a second. What?!

  She jumped to her feet, only to stumble about looking like she was drunk. What the heck was happening? First of all, her eyesight was... unbelievable. She had never seen so clearly. Second of all, she felt different. She looked down, then sucked in a quick breath of air. That would explain a few things. Replacing her feet were... talons? She glanced behind her and kept herself from falling over in shock. Wings.

  Spreading them, Eul gave a screech of joy. But it sounded off-key. Like a rusty door hinge. She was a hawk, she really was a hawk. Flapping her wings felt so natural, so satisfying. She looked up, the forest was thick here, so she would have to find a clearing somewhere around here. So she could fly. Grinning like an idiot, she waddled off through the forest in search of a clearing.

Delthion stopped and looked at the squirrel and said. "Alas I don't I don't even know exactly where I am! I was seeing if this path would lead me to Redwall. From your question I would assume that you don't know where you are going either. This is an extremely strange sounding question, but where you taken from another world and deposited in Mossflower?"

OOC: I decided to enter the RP with a bit more... energy.


BIC:

Where the others had come awake among peaceful and quiet woodlands Sandpaw found himself immediately besieged. One second he was sleeping soundly by a small stream under a willow tree and the next he was set upon by three large black birds. The crows gave him no time to think and they pecked and clawed with vicious vigor.

Sandpaw in the early stage of utter confusion fought them as best he could with furry hands and feet. Never before had he seen such large feathered crows but still he struggled gamely not willing to give to even these nightmare surprises. While protecting his head with one paw the young man now hare, reached out with the other finding a thick oak branch that had fallen nearby. Heaving it up, he smashed into the feathered bounce of one assailant placing the attacker out of the fight.

Cawing the cow hopped back while Sandpaw had the stick forcibly removed from his grasp by a sharp peck. Flapping its wings the stunned crow screeched into the heavens urging his companions on. "Kraaaw hefights, hefights, killet brothers then wefeast kraaaaw!" The two birds slashed at their nearly helpless prey with large beaks, Sandpaw could do little to stop them other than covering his head with both paws and kicking out with his new large feet.

For a long while the fight went on, though it was clear the hare would go under without aid. He struggled valiantly but with the large birds hemming in he stood little chance. They held him down while pecking furiously, the cries of their victim and the cawing from the birds vibrated throughout the local area a clear testament to the life or death struggle that was underway.

OOC: Is it okay if I start near Salamandastron? I can always edit.

Ashenwyte felt comfortable, oddly comfortable. Mmm, this bed was good, but oddly grainy. He rubbed his eyes, and found them full of sand. He cursed a bit and examined his hand, which had seemed to have turned into a paw. Hmm. Well, what was he? He stood up, and examined himself. A badger, and with free robes and a staff too! What a deal! He examined the distance, and saw Salamandastron in the distance. He cracked a smile and walked towards it, humming a song along the way.

One of Jet's eyes cracked open and he found himself staring up at a blue sky. He became aware that he was lying on something hard. He sat up and looked around. He was sitting in the middle of a path in a forest. He rubbed sleep from his eyes and was startled to see that his hand was a black-furred paw. He poked at the air above his head to find that he had pointed ears. "Ooh," he said "cool dream. I've always wanted to be a cat." He stood up and stretched. He became aware that two figures were walking down the path towards him.

Faiy looked back at the mouse blankly for a moment... ok weird dream she thought and then snaped out of it saying "You could say that... I'm Faiyloe, my friends call me Faiy,"

OOC: It's fine, Ash. By the way, am I the only one who's actually freaking out? I would be shocked if you guys wouldn't have a strong reaction to waking up as a beast in Mossflower Country. That's mysteriously terrifying.

BIC: To make matters worse, the only name the teenager could think of was Skyblade. Hmm. That was her username on a Redwall forum, and she was a badger in what appeared to be Mossflower Woods. Could the two be connected?

Her scarred paws continued wiping away tears. Perhaps God was punishing her for always being on the forum instead of doing her work. What a horrible person she must be, then. She sniffed and started looking around. Anyway, she needed to get out of here. But-

The badger raised her head, her ears twitching. There was a commotion nearby. Swallowing and gathering whatever courage she had, she carefully pulled out her rapier and ran to the sound. She burst into a clearing and saw two large crows attacking a hare.

I hope this isn't the death of me, she thought as she rushed forward. "Eulaliaaaaaa!" She had always wanted to say that warcry...just not like this. She leaped at the nearest crow to thrust her sword in its chest or throat. The bird dodged back. Skyblade snarled at the birds. "Leave him alone, vermin!"

A scary thought occurred to her. If she died here, would she really be dead? She gritted her teeth, trying to present confidence. "Get away." She raised her rapier.

OOC: Well I think I'm dreaming.

OOC: Yeah same here, I have had some really weird and vivid dreams before, this is nothing in comparison to some. Most of them involving some one trying to kill me or other people getting killed or me almost getting killed. It has stopped bugging me... Like one time my friends where eaten up by a bunch of rabid baboons  while we where trying to hid from a homicidal maniac, and all I did was wince a little and move on...

Eul had found a clearing and was flying, shrieking with laughter. This was so much better than she had thought. Some movement below caught her attention, and she heard someone yell Eulalia. Folding in her wings, she dove down and spread them at the last few seconds. Landing proved to be difficult, and she ended up flat on her face. Eul quickly regained her balance and looked around, "Somebody say my name?" She asked, thinking of herself so clever to quote Nutty Professor like that.
  Putting aside the jokes, she faced the crows, "I saw you attacking these creatures, what for?" She demanded. Oh these crows were big, and she was still getting used to her talons and beak (not to mention the wings), so maybe she could scare them away without having to fight.

  The first thing he noticed was that he wasn't in the position he usually slept in. Opening his eyes slowly, he suddenly opened them up all the way in shock. He was looking not over the foot of his bed, or even the couch, but at the sandy dunes of some foreign land.
 "What?" he said groggily, blinking several times and rubbing his eyes. While they were still the leathery hands he was used to, they were almost more rough. Or was it. . . Fur? He was looking at the large, furred paws of some beast, though they had thumb-claws and articulation. He stared blankly at the limbs, gripping and releasing them; they were definitely his. And he was looking down overtop a stubby muzzle. It didn't impair his vision, which meant that perhaps this was a dream.
 Shaking his head, he tried to wake up. Sometimes just trying worked, sometimes it didn't. "Alright," he said aloud. "I'll pinch myself."
 By then he was getting a sickening feeling in his gut that something was really and truly off about this dream. He closed his eyes and pinched his leg.
 Nothing.
 Opening his eyes again, he wondered if he was now some sort of animal in his own world, to be hunted possibly or just watched by nature-lovers. But no, he was wearing a kilt of some tough gray material, as well as a shirt. This is just too weird, he thought, and pinched himself again, harder.
 Getting no neural feedback to wake up, his heartbeat began to quicken as he punched his leg, then his arm, then gripped his head which was beginning to hurt.
 "What is this?" His voice came as a hiss through his teeth, and he breathed faster and started looking around crazily. "What's happening? This is me. . . No, it can't be! What is this? What is this!"

With angry calls the two crows ceased their attack staring the badger down, it was evident she was unsure of herself but her large size kept them from attacking. Sandpaw stirred slightly a low moan escaping his lips. For a few tense moments the crows glared back at the badger then with a crash a Red tail appeared. The crows had never seen such a bird though it was clear what it was. A hawk. Cawing they broke and fled into the air black feathers swirling in their panicky flight. The third crow was a bit slower on the uptake but soon realized he was alone. He left quickly unwilling to fight the two newcomers. For a few turns the furious crows lamented their lost catch and feast before winging off to search for an easier kill.

Sandpaw was still recovering, one of his ears were badly torn and a long scratch was bleeding freely on his forehead. With a groan he sat up and inspected the rest of his body moving each limb to check and see if it was broken. Besides a deep scratch on his right paw and a few other cuts he was fine. Though bruises and torn clothing were in much evidence.

Standing he had to immediately sit back down before he fell over, he felt lightheaded and groggy. Still he nodded to his two rescuers as a slow panic started to build in his chest. He was definitely not dreaming, unless dreams could make you feel as if one had gone through a meat grinder.

"Thanks, I need some help there, they caught me sleeping." He told them trying to stand again keeping panic at bay, though only just.

OOC: If something like this happened I would like it and be rather care-free about everything else...like getting back.

BIC: Delthion's grin grew wider as he listened to Faiy. "Well isn't that a strange happening. I am Delthion! Do you know how you got here? I just woke up a little to the west of here."

 Eul turned to face the hare, "I've no idea how t'help you with 'at," she nodded towards all the cuts and scrapes he had recieved, "I'm... hm, all I can remember is my name's Eul. It's short for Eulalia."

OOC: Thought I'd start somewhere kinda-sorta near Skar, if that's okay? For one thing, I have a feeling he'd be the only one to reason with me. :P

BIC: Corn rolled over, trying to bunch her feather pillow up again. "Stupid thing." She muttered, as to her irritation, it really wasn'd cooperating. Still with her eyes shut, she reach up, pawing the air, trying to grab her clock to see what time it was. Feeling nothing but air, she opened her eyes. . . . And saw sand dunes. "What the-?!" She exclaimed, sitting up again. "Yeah, onot happening." She decided, and went to slap her leg, only to see a very furry leg. And a very furry paw in place of a hand. "Uh, no, no, no. This is a dream; I refuse to believe it is anything but." She said, standing up and planting her feet.

Closing her eyes again, Corn slowly counting to sixty."Siiiixty." She said, opening her eyes - Same rather blurry landscape. Looking down, Corn saw that she looked like a gray squirrel, wearing a tunic. There was a bow and arrows by her feet, and two dagger. "No!" She said loudly, taking a step back and almost tripping. Turning to look behind her, she screamed. There was a big, furry squirrel tail.

James was awakened by the unusual amount of light shining in his face. Given that he was in his own bedroom, he assumed that one of his parents was trying to wake him up, or else scouring around in his room for some unknown reason. This thought, along with everything else in his mind, disappeared when he opened his eyes.

The bed and blanket he had gone to sleep with were gone, as was the dresser, the ceiling, and everything else he recognized. Somehow he had been transported to what looked like a forest. This was more than a little confusing and alarming, since James knew he wasn't a heavy sleeper, and he couldn't imagine anybody could have so much as lifted his great bulk, much less transported him somewhere, without waking him up in the attempt.

He began to sit up, to look around, when suddenly he realized something was amiss. There was a large black thing where his chest should have been. He moved a hand to take it off, but instead of his hand, saw what looked like a black paw move in the same direction. He moved his fingers; large claws extended out of the paw. More than a little perplexed, James sat up, got a clear look at his body, and promptly fainted.

As soon as he came to, and had clawed himself (a little more enthusiastically than he meant to, drawing blood), James knew three things: firstly, he was in a completely unfamiliar forest at who-knows-where, stranded without clothing, running water, showers, toilets, or anything else worth having. Secondly, he seemed somehow to have been transformed into a cat. While he'd always been interested in experiencing life as a cat, he hadn't wanted or expected it to come under these bizarre circumstances -- or at all, for that matter. Briefly he wondered if God had finally gotten fed up with him as a person and carried out the transformation to punish him. And thirdly, he was still tired, and his new fur coat kept him just as comfortable and cozy as he had been in bed before. After he had investigated his surroundings and made sure there was no immediate danger, he felt he might try to go back to sleep.

He looked around. Cat vision, as he had expected, was very different from his own. His sight was no better or worse than it had been (being a badly near-sighted person), but things around him seemed to be happening more slowly. He was actually able to track a bug flying overhead, something he had never been able to do before. The world that he could make out seemed to be washed out; everything looked as though it was in pastel colors, with nothing as bright or as vibrant as it ought to be. He saw nothing red, orange or pink in sight. He had experimented with this before in graphic editors, but actually seeing the world that way was a little shocking. He noted appreciatively that his hearing was more sensitive now than it had ever been. Everything seemed clearer, in a way that was hard to explain. And his sense of smell, which had already seemed sensitive, was able to pick up everything. He smelled things which he had never noticed before. Perhaps exploring this natural world could be fun... at least after he had the hygienic problem figured out.

Delthion followed Faiy's eyes and looked farther down the path. "I wonder who it could be?" Then he called out in a loud voice. "Greetings traveler! Are you friend or foe on this fine morn?" Smiling as always.

This is from before when I designed us to be on a ship. Now, we are starting in Mossflower, so the spoiler below is just extra stuff. :D

A highly lustrous sunrise dawned over the Great Sea as the reds, yellows, and pinks danced gracefully over the water. R slowly stood up as he saw - wait, sunrise? - The last thing he had remembered was making a website for some group or another, and it was 10pm. Could he have slept that long? Puzzled, he wandered over the deck - it was harder to balance - and thoughtfully scratched his rudder.

"Ouch!" He jumped backwards, pulling spikes out of his feet. It was a hedgehog.

He climbed slowly out of the place in which he had been sleeping.

"What's your name?"

"<insert name of forum member here>"

The two went across the ship and came across many other animals, a mouse, a squirrel - three, actually, another otter, a badger, and several other animals.

"Hey, are you all from the forum?"

Faiy jumped at Del's shouting and then glaring at him she slapped him. "Did your parents ever teach you not to talk to strangers! especially vermin ones that are twice your size and could very probably wan't to kill you!" She hissed.

Delthion grinned at Faiy again. "Well, since we don't know who he is, why don't we assume that this traveler is a friend? But we should prepare for the possibility that he is a foe. Also, why would he be twice as big as we are?"

The cat stretched. "On this 'fine morn' I am Jet. Whether Jet is a friend or foe is a matter for debate." He frowned. "That sounded like crazy third-person talking. Is that what we're doing now? Pull yourself together Jet, you are not a cliched villain out of some cartoon."  

"Jet you say? Jetthebintourong from the Redwall forums?" Asked Del quizzically. "If so and even if it isn't so I am Delthion, and this squirrel is Faiyloe."

OOC: See what you guys have done? You have made me start using my own nickname! ;D ;D

If a small shake of his head Sandpaw pushed away from the tree he was using as support and stood under his own power. Wiping the small trickle of blood out of his eye he focused the badger and hawk who were standing in front of him. Quickly he checked himself over again looking for anything of interest, at his waist was a long knife, good for throwing and with a sharp blade, beside him having been slightly trampled in his struggle with the crows was a small satchel. After a quick survey of the bags contents he discovered a canteen of water, a few very mushed pastries some dried mango, and some bronze knuckles. He slipped the last onto his right paw.

After a moment of consideration he offered his two rescuers some of his supplies, for some reason he remembered having such things on him before, somewhere else but couldn't place why or where. Chewing on a piece of sweetened mango he asked the question that had been bugging him since hearing the hawks name.

"Eul huh, hey have you by any chance heard of the Redwall Abbey forums?" He gave the badger and sideways glance. "What's your name?" He asked bluntly pointedly not saying his own, In truth he was trying to remember his old name but couldn't and was stalling for time.

 Morgazath snuffled as a ray of light irritated his eyes. His cat, Blaze, must be playing with the curtains and opening them again. Still snuffling, he stood up, only to feel.....different. The blankets and the bed were gone.

The entire bedroom, nay, the entire HOUSE was gone! And he was surrounded by a deep forest that seemed to stretch for eternity. He went to scratch his head, but saw his hand had been turned into a furry paw.

Alarmed, he leaped back, and realized his entire body was covered in fur. "What?" He said, astonished. Something moved behind him. He looked, to be even more astonished to see he had a tail.

Upon further examination from a nearby stream, Morgazath could see that he had somehow been transformed into a wolf......his favorite animal. This was literally a dream come true! After a few seconds of it sinking in, he threw back his head and gave a howl of joy.

With a heart full of content happiness, he got on all fours and began to run as fast as he could. Where to, he did not care. All he wanted was to feel the exhilarating thrill of speed. 

"You are a mouse I am a squirrel, he is a cat, cats are much bigger than mice even in red..." She said in a lowered tone. Then Jet spoke, how had he heard what she had been saying from all the way over here... she hadn't even been talking that loudly...cat ears?... wait he said his name was Jet, it did sound like him and look like him and it made sense if she was dreaming. She only just caught the end of Del's sentence "...this squirrel is Faiyloe."

"I can introduce my self you know," She said putting her paws on her hips. "This squirrel, really!? You know it is rude to introduce some one by there species. How would you like me to go around introducing you as 'that mouse, Del'?"

The badger stepped back and looked from Eul to the unnamed hare warily, her rapier held up protectively. "Wait...Redwall Abbey forums?" Her head started spinning; relief rushed up in her. "Yes, I'm from there...my name's Skyblade. You guys are too?"

Delthion smiled again. "I would find completely natural! We are to far away to identify his species, so we should assume that he is to far away to identify ours! So, for the sake of simplicity we would identify our species and names!" He finished speaking to Faiy then called down the path again. "I am a mouse by the way, apologies for not saying so earlier. Anyway, knowing our names, are you from a different world? On a Redwall Abbey Forum perhaps?"

Jet shrugged. "I'm not so sure about different worlds, I'm sure this is a dream. But yes I am Jetthebinturong." He hummed. "Mrm, weird. I would have thought if I had a dream about the forums it would be Rain, Blue or Corn in it."

OOC: THAT IS NOT INTENDED AS SHIPPING FUEL. TAKE YOUR ACCUSATIONS ELSEWHERE.

"Unfortunately no...this is not a dream. I'm notsure whether you will be excited or horrified. But I was whisked away too. I don't even remember what I was doing. Faiy had the same happen to her." Said Delthion concernedly.

Soren could be found in a very un-warriorlike situation, crouching under a fallen tree, deep in the woods. He was gasping for air from the weight of what appeared to have happened to him. He tried to slow his breathing and calm down, but to no avail. He simply slipped back into crouching and feeling his face underneath the log. He stood up, now shaky and weary of his own foreign legs. He sat back down. It was all just too weird.

"Well I can see him fine and he is obviously a cat, what else is that big any way? And It can be a dream if I wan't it to be a dream, you could all be figments of my imagination! It is still an awesome dream though," Faiy added as an after thought. By this time they where a lot closer together and she could get a better look at Jet... he did look a lot like he would probably look if he was an animal and he defiantly talked like him.

R sat up on some combination of leaves and branches. "Where was I", he wondered. He couldn't have fell asleep, since he just had 3 cups of tea, but the proof was there, plain and simple. He turned around - "Ouch!" - and accidently slammed his rudder on a nearby tree whose shade he was under. W..h..a..t? Oh, the tail. Big surprise.

Eul hesitated. Yes, the Redwall Forums. What as her other name... She couldn't remember. It was that feeling you have when it's at the tip of your tongue, yet you just can't remember it. She adjusted her wings awkwardly, suddenly wishing to return to the clouds and air high above the forest, "How did you know?" She asked, growing slightly suspicious, "Yes, I am from the Redwall Abbey Forum..." She glanced at Sky, "How did you get here? And you, hare, who are you?"

"I don't know how the hare knew." Skyblade shrugged, fingering her rapier. "I have no idea how I got here. Yesterday was a normal day and today I wake up here." She stood up straighter. "I need to get back home immediately. There are duties for me to take care of."

OOC: And how are we going to actually do that? :P

BIC: One thing he remembered was his name. . . or at least, one name he went by. Skarzs. Oddly spelt, yes, but it was easy to remember that way.
  That, however, was of little concern to the now-cougar, who was still gripping his head and trying to figure things out. He was dizzy from the effort, and forced himself to stop breathing so hard and started taking deeper, slower breaths.
  I've got to do something, Skarzs thought. He was still a bit panicked and extremely on edge, but he stood up and started running.
  None of this made sense! How was he here. . . Where was he? He was sure he recognized something about this whole scenario, but his addled mind wouldn't grasp it. He tripped on his new feet. . . paws. . . and stumbled face-first over the side of a dune. Something wasn't quite right about his balance, but instead of learning to work with his tail, he scrambled up and continued running, intent on finding something, or just going until he collapsed.
  His breaths coming in ragged takes now, Skarzs half-closed his eyes, his vision becoming blurry and the urge to stop strong. Suddenly, he tripped on a rock and fell into a patch of rough grass, getting on his paws and knees and crawling further.
  "What is this. . . What is this?" The hissing question he asked himself again with his breaths.
  "I say, my jolly giant, that seems to be grass, wot?"
  The voice in front of him caused Skarzs to scramble backwards, and he saw what looked like a very long-limbed rabbit standing in front of him. "Wha. . ."
  The other cocked his head to the side, his ears flopping around like a pair of loose strings. "Are you alright, old bean?"
  No, I'm not! Standing up again easily more than twice the other's height, Skarzs ran past him, smacking a paw as he passed him that sent the animal sprawling several feet away. "Stay away from me!"

Soren stumbled through the woods. He tried to not open his eyes, to not think. He just wanted to go home. He kept struggling on all fours to get through the woods to whatever was ahead. He couldn't stay where he was, he needed to get home. All he wanted to do was get home.

OOC: Hey Skarzs can I play another hare NPC that interacts with yours? how much liberty are you willing to give me with your hare character?

OOC: Sure! As much as you see fit.

A female hare helped her companion to his feet "Had a touch of the sun, poor fellow, wot... You ok Tuck?"

"I'm fine, wot" He said brushing himself off "it's that confused blighter who needs help, May" Tuck said. May nodded and was after the cat in a flash. He needed to be stopped before he went and hurt himself. "Hey old chap! might wan't to slow it down a bit, wot, gonna hurt ya self," She said coming up several paces in front of him. 

James, moving on all fours, navigated his way through the forest. There were a lot of new sounds and smells to take in, and he was interested in soaking up as much of it as possible.

Suddenly, he caught motion out of the corner of one eye. Something not too far away had just moved, and it was big. James couldn't make out any details, and decided it would be most prudent to climb up the nearest tree, which he managed to do with liberal use of his new claws. From there he attempted to get a better view of the creature, and waited to see what would happen.

 Finally tired from his long run, Morgazath sat down on a tree trump to catch his breath. His thought process brought some interesting questions as he waited. What was he doing here? This was too real to be a dream. He knew he was in Mossflower woods, since it was the fairly obvious. But where exactly is he?

How did he get here? And why is he here? These questions followed him relentlessly as he started moving again on a nearby path. Since he was in Mossflower, he decided to pay a visit to Redwall Abbey.   

Breathing heavily, Corn sat up against a dune. "No, no, I'm not a squirrel. I can't be a squirrel." She muttered to herself, starting to cry. "The isn't happening!" She screeched, standing up and stomping her footpaw. It made her feel a little better, so she did it again.

Soren heard a scratching noise that was rather unfamiliar to him . He froze for a few seconds. He grabbed a small rock and threw it in the direction of the sound, which was a large tree.

OOC: Who did you throw the rock at? Was it me or Corn? I will be a few meters from where you are.

BIC: R looked around, and saw a badger who was about to throw a rock. Not a careful planning sort of person, R hastily and loudly shouted "Hey! Dude!"

OOC: I'm in Dune Land right now, R. ;D

BIC: After spending a few more minutes throwing a tantrum, Corn gave one last sniff, picked up the daggers, and started trying to figure out how to belt them on.

James winced as a rock shot past the tree he was on, and looked to see how much higher he could climb. Before he did anything, though, he heard a strange-sounding voice shout "Hey! Dude!". Not seeing clearly enough to make out any details, James assumed that this must be two humans, and carefully climbed his way back down the tree to "make friends". Obviously one of them was no cat-lover, but with the other one, who knows? While James had always thought being a cat would be interesting, he preferred the prospect of an easy indoor life to making his own way in a forest.

Ash saw two tiny black specks on the horizon. Judging by his location and their speed, he thought they were hares, or maybe they weren't. Who knew. He waved his staff as high in the air as possible, and in a (hopefully) non-threatening manner.

Soren, still in shock of his circumstances, grabbed the first thing he saw (a thick, club like branch) and backed up against a small boulder. He didn't know who these advancing people were, but he was ready for them.

 Talking fluttered to Morgazath's ears. He stopped, listening intently. Should he go over and see or no? If they were woodland creatures, they may be terrified to see a savage looking creature like a wolf. But if they were vermin, they may also run as well.

Shrugging, he went off towards the spot. Peeking through a bush, the figures of a hare, a hawk and a badger greeted his eyes. He slowly stepped out, and said in a friendly tone. "Greetings, friends. Fine morning, isn't it?"

Sandpaw's ears twitched and he heard the approach of something large before he saw it. He took a step back as a large wolf pushed its way out into the sunlit clearing.

"A fine day, ha. Maybe to some." Sandpaw snorted touching his eye which was starting to swell." he looked back at his original companions deciding the wolf was either very good at hiding malicious intent or not going to attack them.

"I'm Sandpaw," he told Skyblade with an air of anger. "We are all from the forums and someone put me here and when I find out who a broken neck will be the least of their worries." Sandpaw spat on the loam kicking the dirt with his new large feet. He had started to guess once Eul had said her name but now that Skyblade was here as well he knew very well what had happened.

Whirling around he pointed an finger now claw at the wolf. "I'm guessing a nice wolf isn't common in wherever we are so what's your name?"

Eul smirked (as much as a hawk could smirk) and said, "I like the way you're thinking, Sandpaw. As cool as this," she slightly spread her wings,"is, I didn't really give anyone permission to send me to Mossflower with no idea how to get back." Then she looked up at the wolf, spreading her wings to appear bigger, "We outnumber you, just in case you were thinking about attacking us..."

"Hey", said R, "what's with the club?", going next to Soren.

  Skarzs kept stumbling forward. "Well. . . maybe. . . if I. . . hurt myself. . . I'd be. . . better off." Suddenly he simply collapsed, his vision spinning and his thoughts like the murky and spinning depths of a river. He didn't care if he passed out right then. . . And everything went black.

OOC: I'm tired; hope that's aright.

 The words forum surprised Morgazath. He had little time to think about it when the wounded and apparently aggressive hare pointed a claw at him asked his name, and the hawk's warning. He smiled at the hare. "You're from the forums as well? So am I. I'm Morgazath."

Still smiling, he turned to the hawk. "Don't worry. I like chicken."

May sighed and stood over the cougars giant form. "Tuck come 'ere, the chaps just gone an passed out, wot," Tuck jogged over and took a closer look at Skarzs.

"Well he won't be goin' anywhere any time soon, wot," Tuck said.

"Come here lets see if we can't wake him up," May said taking out a canteen of water "Help me turn this big lump over,"

James, wanting to make a good impression, ambled towards the voices, as gracefully as he could manage given the layer of flab swinging below him. Then he froze.

As poor as his sight might be, he could tell the voices were not coming from humans.

A large black-and-white creature was brandishing a piece of wood that could be fairly labelled a log. Another, slightly smaller brown thing was standing, on its hind legs, nearby.

James' pupils dilated, his claws reflexively shot out of his front paws, and he rapidly considered the merits of fighting, attempting to run for it, or scurrying back up the tree. For now, he sat frozen, fixated on the utterly weird events taking place before his eyes.

Skyblade smiled at Morgazath. "Glad to see you're not a threat." Turning to the address everyone, she said soberly, "Clearly, something weird is happening. This doesn't feel like a dream to me at all. We need to get back, and we should do that by collaborating! Hmm..." The badger paced the clearing. "Have you guys noticed anything that might help? Perhaps we should go to the Abbey? There might be other forum members there."

Eul narrowed her eyes at Morg's comment, she would've replied if Sky hadn't beat her to it. Instead, she decided to not dwell on it and get back at him another time, "Yeah, we should try and find Redwall Abbey, I mean, we're obviously in Mossflower. You guys have an idea of which direction it is?"

Delthion shrugged and said, "It's probably to the east. We are in Mossflower country, and I believe that it is bigger to the west of Redwall, so the odds are in our favor if we follow the eastern way, whether the path leads that way or not!"

After finally managing to get the two daggers strapped to her belt - One on each side - Cornflower picked up the quiver that had been near them and the unstrung bow. "Okay, first thing to do is figure out where I am." She said to herself, looking around. There was big, mountain-y looking thing in the distance, and she was closer to some woodlands. "Wait a second." She said, suspicious. "I'm a squirrel. I have weapons. There's a big mountain over there. There's woods over there. There also isn't a single human or human-built thing anywhere. . . . . Can I really be in Redwall?" Corn said slowly, then with a smile, she started jumping up and down. "I'm  in Redwall!" She squealed.

 Morgazath thought for a second. "I think before I heard you, I saw a sign on the road. It might lead us to somewhere. If it's St. Ninian's Church, we simply need to go back. I think..." He trailed off, one of the things he was absolutely horrible at was geography.

He looked around the group, "It's not much, but it's a good start."

"Why not", said R to Soren. "What's your name?"

Eul adjusted her wings, pulling herself up to her full height. Which, for a hawk, was not as impressive as she probably imagined, "Don't worry, wolf, you can't be good at everything. I'll fly up and see if I can find Redwall, or at least a path. Stay here, land dweller," she huffed, hopping forward and spreading her wings as she took off. Heh, that should make up for the comment on her being a chicken. She smiled to herself as she rose higher into the air, her keen eyes searching for a red sandstone abbey.

Faiy coughed and said "The path goes north and south. See," She added pointing to the sun."and the ditch runs along the path so that means Redwall lies along this path... The path is lined with trees on both sides... and there is a ditch here... that means we are north of Redwall"  She thought for another moment and then said with absolute certainty, "We need to stick to the path and head south. The ditch runs along the west side of the path and Redwall is on the east so we need to go this way," She turned and pointed back the way they had come. "Trust me I have studied enough maps of the area to know,"

OOC: I would have known if the path wasn't heading west...I know North/south/east/west better than left and right...I'll edit it.

"Thank you, Morg. It's certainly better than nothing." Skyblade gave a small smile and nodded at him. "Please lead the way. We must go home!"

I like how, the second I flew away to help you guys find the abbey, you're just like, "Ok, let's go!"  ;D

BIC: Eul saw several figures down below her from where she was soaring. And possibly some building in the distance which she assumed would be Redwall. She dropped down, trying to get a closer look. One of them, from what she could see (which was a lot, but she was too high to see exactly what it was), looked like a squirrel.

"Um, ah, Soren." Said the badger, still clutching his stick. "STOP TALKING! Wait, you can talk?" He was so confused he didn't know what questions he was asking, until he stood still, and breathed for a moment. "Who are you?"

OOC: Are you going to post a reply Del?

"I'm R", said R. "Do you know where we are?"

OOC: Oh, I didn't realize what Eul was doing :P

BIC: "We better wait for Eul to come back," Skyblade added, nodding and standing alertly.

"Fair enough!" Said Delthion loudly, and bowed. "You are clearly more educated on the subject! I shall follow your lead!" Then he began tramping off to the south.

"Splendid!" Faiy said enthusiastically and started marching to the south along side Del. She then sighed, this was going to be a long walk, at least half the day, and they had no food, she had never walked that long before either... she wasn't sure how long she could go without a brake.

  It was a while before Tuck and May were able to revive the big cat, even after their struggles to actually turn him over. He had lain silent after they gave him some water, then May had slapped his face a couple times. Finally, Skarzs opened his eyes and looked into the sky. Sitting up slowly, he looked himself over again.
  "So. . . it definitely wasn't -isn't- a dream." He slouched with his elbows against his thighs, staring at the tip of his tail as he mulled thoughts over in his head with a dark expression on his face. He had noticed the two hares near him, but he didn't feel like talking to them right then.
  How did I get here? he thought. Why am I here? I mean, it's kinda cool, yeah, but I have no idea of how exactly I'm supposed to deal with all this! Has this happened to anyone else before? The cougar sighed helplessly and stood up.

While Faiy was temporarily along side Del he ran ahead to the next bend to see if anyone was coming. Then waited against a tree for the rest of the group to catch-up.

Eul dropped down even farther, able to see more details. There was a mouse and a squirrel walking together. The others would want to know about this, maybe they could help. Turning around, she headed back, looking for Sky, Morg, and Sand. Panic welled up inside her when she couldn't see them, and she felt lost. Never mind, there they were. She swooped down, landing clumsily, "I see others, over that way," she pointed in the direction of the others with a wing, "And a giant building that way too, I'm assuming it's Redwall Abbey."

"Great!" said Skyblade, her scarred ears flicking upwards. "We better go pronto." She started in the direction Eul had indicated at a brisk pace, looking back for the others.

Soren shook his head violently. He wasn't sure if he should trust these people. He started to back away.

With his enhanced feline hearing, James found it easy to follow the conversation. Soar-en? That was the user name of one of the Redwall forum's members. Was there a connection?

James, who hadn't tried to speak since his transformation, decided to try out his vocal cords, on the chance they would pronounce words. What came out was a passable, "Soren the Warrior?"

After wandering around a bit, Cornflower sighed. "Okay, time to admit it - I'm lost." She snorted - Was it possible to be lost if you didn't even know where you had started? Probably. "Lessee. That must be Salamandastron, so those are Mossflower Woods. There should a stream around here somewhere that leads to the woods that leads to the ford that's by the path that leads to the Abbey." Unless, of course, Brian Jacques lied. But he wouldn't have lied if he made this place up. . . . Wait. WAIT. If he made Redwall up, then how the heck did I get here?! Or did the Redwall universe already exist? Or- . . . Ugh. I'm getting a headache. To pull a Scarlett O'Hara, I'll think about it tomorrow. While thinking, Corn had started walking again and found herself on the edge of the woods. You know what? Why not just plunge into Mossflower Woods? Because, you dummy, you could get even more lost and it's very likely you could never find food again. After thinking about it for another moment, she shrugged and started walking into the woods.

Along the way, Skyblade spotted a squirrel in the distance. She paused and let the others know. Then, she cautiously approached the stranger, who she didn't know yet as Cornflower.

"Hello," she said as she stopped a few paces from her. The small badger gave a friendly and nervous smile. "I'm Skyblade and these are my friends. Who are you?"

"Wait! Do you know where we are?" He asked Soren, who looked like he was about to curl up in a ball and roll away.

BIC: Corn stopped and looked at the badger. Part of her wanted to run screaming, and part of her wanted to jump and cheer. (She met someone! They probably knew where they were! She wasn't lost anymore!). "Uh, hi, Skyblade. I'm," Cornflower paused. She couldn't remember her name. . . .. . Just Cornflower MM and her nicknames from the Redwall forum. "I'm Corny." She finished. Who knew what time period this was? If it was the Redwall time period (The book Redwall, that is) two Cornflowers could be disastrous. For that matter, her being here could be disastrous! What if she altered a storyline and something bad happened?! "Wait, Skyblade? I kinda-sorta know a Skyblade."

"Great, because I know a Corny." Skyblade straightened her furry shoulders and grinned. "Let me guess! You're from the Redwall Abbey forums too?" She glanced at the others for a moment, wondering if they would react.

playing with her hands, Corn gulped. "H-How do you know the Redwall forum? Who are they?" She wasn't sure if she believed the badger. . . "How do I know this isn't a trick?"

"I'm Skyblade, a member of the forum. These are Eul, Morg, and Sand. I'm an overachieving, flute-playing and writing Asian teen." The young badger's face fell. "You don't remember me, Corny? Okay, I guess it is what it is. We really need to get to the Abbey." She took a few steps forward.

"Cornflor eh?" Sandpaw grunted pulling off his pack. "Fancy meeting you out here as well, I wonder how many others have been placed here as well?" He dug around for a moment then glanced up at Cornflower.

"You hungry, I got a few snacks in here?"

Cornflower's eyes widened, "You know wha'? This's crazy. Completely crazy! I wanna go home, I want my studio, my bed." Gesturing wildly with her hands, Cornflower almost smacked herself in the head. Swallowing, she dropped her shoulders (Which were up to about her chin) and drew in a deep breath and exhaled it. "Oh, an' Sky? You're not overachieving, you just need a few smacks on the head. Yes, I remember you, but I'm just havin' a hard time believin' that we're all here." She glanced at Sand, "You know, somethin' tuh eat would be nice."

OOC: By the way, I've decided to type 'my' speech with my Southern accent.

OOC: I find it rather unbelievable that Eul would be able to see Redwall from just flying upwards for a few minutes if they're at about the edge of the forest. You would be about five day's journey from Redwall then, and there would be no way even the bird would be able to see the building.

OOC: Let's say we're closer to Redwall, then. We need to move this RP along.

BIC: "Overachieving is like a compliment to me." Skyblade shrugged emotionlessly. "Anyway, we better keep moving," she said as she continued walking. "I'm very intent on going home ASAP."

"Skye." Corn said, putting her paws on her hips. "We're not gonna get anywhere by not eatin'. Have you eaten anythin' today? I haven't. We should at least eat 'n' walk. Also, later, we shoudl talk while we have the chance."

Skyblade frowned and then nodded. "Fine then. Let's eat." She gave a small smile to show she wasn't too annoyed and turned to Sand. "Thank you for the food, too."

Corn smiled back at Sky and then started fidgeting again. Playing with her paws was something she did when nervous; Corn didn't realize she was doing it half the time.

Pulling out a handful of sugar mango pieces Sandpaw tossed them towards Cornflower remarking while he did. "So why is it we came here with different things? I usually have a knife but not bronze knuckles or a pack." He pulled the said item back onto his back adjusting the straps so that it sat high on his back.

"Thanks, Sand," Corn said gratefully, and started walking briskly towards the direction Skyblade had started walking a few moments before, "Y'all comin'?"

OOC: Me and Soren have to join you guys first.

Eul frowned as much as a hawk could frown, "Aw, you guys got weapons? I don't have anything. I'm just a hawk, heck I don't even have clothes. I think it's weird. Is it weird? I mean, I'm covered in feathers, so those are like clothes.... but it still feels weird. I dunno if I like it. I mean, I do like it. I love being able to fly. Having wings is awesome. But the whole not having clothes is weird. And having a beak. And not having feet. And having tail feathers. And.... well, being a hawk is weird. But cool. Really cool. I like it, I just need to get used to it," she ranted.

Skyblade shrugged in response to Eul's ranting. The badger smiled, not sure what to say and hoping she wouldn't come off as offensive. Considering her perpetual state of glumness, she wasn't going to be especially cheerful during this excursion. In fact, she was feeling worse. This had all gone wrong. Sky faced forward and kept walking. She just had to get everyone home! As soon as possible.

"Personally, I've never used a flail before. I had a plastic one that I practiced with. It was quite simple really: all in the wrist. But this one is real, so I'm not sure how this one will work for me. Plus, I have my teeth and claws."

Corn stared at him in shock. Not only did Mor not like fruit, but he liked chicken. Well, to each their own. She reminded herself, dropping her gaze to the forest floor, "Well, bein' a squirrel, I don' have such built-in defenses." She tried for another smile, staring at her friend's forehead.

Eul caught the mango with a talon, hopping on one foot until she shoved the piece of fruit into her mouth, finding it rather difficult to eat without teeth, "Thanks. And yeah, Brian Jacques always made talons and beaks sound like very efficient weapons in Redwall. By the way, Morg, I didn't think chickens existed in this world. How'd you find it?"

"You might wan't t'find some shade, wot," Tuck added "The forest is just about that way," he said pointing to the east.

Casually walking a little faster, Corn passed Sky and sighed. Being in Mossflower was awesome, but, well, she'd rather have had some warning. And being plopped somewhere that wasn't random woods or dunes would have been nice. Starting to hum, she tried for a few pique turns, using a tree as her spot. "Oh, very nice," she murmured to herself.

OOC: Piques are traveling steps, just so you know, so it's not like I stopped randomly. :P

  Skarzs rolled his shoulders uncomfortably; he hated being jabbed or pinched. He noticed the way they spoke and held up his paws.
  "Hold up, stop." The two hares ceased speaking, the male still pointing to the east as they looked at him.
  "You two wouldn't happen to be from a mountain called Salamandastron, would you?" Skarzs said.
  When they turned to each other for a moment before nodding to the cougar, Skarzs started to smile and shake his head. "No way. . ." he said softly. "So that means I'm in Mossflower!"
  The two hares looked at each other again, both surprised at the strange giant as well as cautiously curious. Tuck raised a paw. "Well, old chap, Mossflower would actually be over to the east. We're in the dunes near the sea, wot?"
  "Are you alright, ehhh. . . ?"
  "Skarzs," the cougar said smiling slightly. "My name is Skarzs." He put his paws on his hips, feet apart, and he moved his jaw side to side for a moment before speaking again. "I would like to go to Salamandastron."

Tuck and May had a short whispered conversation and then May turned back to the cougar. "Come along ol' chap, lets get some fodder in you. No point in standing around here all day," She said waving him to follow them back south towards the mountain fortress.

James froze at the unexpected sound of the shout. His ears laid back, he struggled to see the creatures in front of him, and pondered whether he should attempt a hiss or not. He felt irritated enough to, having just spoken, and yet somehow not been heard. Since he had confirmed, though, that his vocal cords could in fact produce speech (something which still seemed to defy reason), he instead said, "What?"

"Hey!", R said to the large...cat? It didn't look as cuddly as the ones he saw at his friend's house. It looked quite...big.

He stopped waving his hands and asked "What's your name?" again, not actually directed at either the cat or the badger, but more like both.

Soren glared at the strange sight before him. "Soren. WHY?"

OOC: Sorry I didn't post for a long time.

Ashenwyte was closer to the hares and the massive cat when he called out. "Hey there! You mind sharing a bit of food with a hungry chap?" he said, and he was very hungry. Maybe being a badger wasn't so awesome after all.

OOC:. . . . . Skye? Mor? Eul? Sand? ANYONE?!

OOC: I'm sorry; I forgot about this.

BIC: "I'm guessing Morg brought the chicken with him somehow..." Skyblade shrugged and walked at the front of the group, looking back occasionally but keeping herself a bit of a distance from the others.

The badger stared up at the Abbey gates before her. Wasting no time, she knocked on the door strongly.

"Why not?" R laughed.

OOC: We should get going, Sky and the others are already at Redwall.

OOC: Skye have you found us yet? (Us meaning Faiy, Jett, and me.)

OOC: No. We're at Redwall's gates.

OOC: @Del, Faiy, and Jet: What about you guys walking up the path towards the Abbey? Really close? Just a thought.

BIC: Cornflower blinked at the red structure. "Can you guys believe it? We're actually at Redwall!" She said softly.

Eul grinned, stretching her wings out wide and looking up at the massive sandstone walls, "Wha.... it's so much bigger than I imagined! I mean, it's just like Brian Jacques described it: beautiful. And... awesome."

James rolled his eyes. "He already told you, that's why. Call me James."

After a moment's pause, he continued. "Where are y'all headed?"

"I don't know. Do you?"

James licked a paw, and began rubbing it down his fur. "No plans. Though I'd like to know what this place was."

The cat squinted, then shook his head. "What are you, anyway? I'm rather short-sighted."

OOC: Rrrrr, I like your font :)

BIC: A graying mouse answered the door (OOC: By the way, guys, don't make me be the only one to RP free-for-all characters ;D). "Who...what...?" His eyes fell on Morgazath in panic. "A...fox, is that a fox? And a badger? Among a hawk, squirrel, and hare? Who are you?"
"Morg is a wolf, not a fox. Either way, he's a goodbeast; you have...my word on that. We come in peace. I mean, we really do," replied Skyblade, smiling and bowing in respect. "Sir, may we have some hospitality within your fine walls? I've heard of this place, and of the kindness of-of the beasts who live here, and I would be honored to stay just for a bit. As would my friends, who I have come to trust." Kind of.
The mouse blinked and tipped his head slightly. "It is not often a badger comes along. Still, I have heard of wolves from tales, and they don't seem like the good type of beasts." He nodded at Morg.
"He's our friend. Otherwise, we wouldn't let him travel with us." Skyblade gave a short laugh that was so animal-like she stiffened a recoil. "Trust me; if he were an enemy, he wouldn't be walking alongside us." After a pause, she added, "Or walking at all, methinks."
The mouse paused. "Very well...but we will be careful. I am Abbot Oaktree." He opened the gates and led the newcomers inside.
Skyblade breathed. "Thank you." She followed the mouse, keeping at the front of her group. "Thank you so much."

R looked at himself through a nearby pond. "An otter, probably. Though last time I checked I was a human."

OOC: Thanks, Skye

"Interesting. That would make at least two of us, then."

James started licking his claws. He could actually smell and taste traces of other animals on the dirt he had walked in, a sensation that was more than a little strange.

"I can see enough to tell that's a badger. Named Soren..."

James stopped grooming. "Would any of you happen to be from the Redwall forum?"

Soren was terrified, confused and anxious at the same time. He glared at the cat. "How in the world do you know about that?" He said quietly, but coldly.

James looked coolly over at the badger and blinked, slowly and cattishly. "I moderated there."

That was it. Soren had had it with this strange place, and bolted. He headed away from the woods, away from the cat and otter, and toward the closest thing he thought was civilization: a large red complex in the distance.

The cat watched the badger shamble off. The quick movement seemed captivating. Not wanting to lose track of this possible connection to where they were, and feeling like testing his speed and hunting skills in any case, James tore through the woods after Soren.

R lumbered slowly after James, who had took off like a rocket.

 Morgazath was ready for any comments on him being a wolf. He smiled at Oaktree's words. As they walked through the halls, the wolf leaned over a little and whispered into Sky's ear. "That went slightly better than I thought it would. But I have misgivings that I might constantly be watched. I mean I AM possibly the largest creature in the Abbey now, plus I'm a wolf. It's difficult to prove you're on the good side when you're a vermin."

He sighed. Maybe being a wolf isn't as fun as I thought it would be. He thought sadly. While he was thinking, however, he noticed the Abbot's ears twitched after he had been done speaking to Sky. Was he eavesdropping? Oh please let them not attack him.......

Cornflower decided to butt in again. Only thing was, with what? Bouncing over to Mor's side, she smiled up at him, "Isn' this great? We're actually in-thuh famous Redwall!" Taking note of the Abbot's ear twitching again, Corn smiled to herself. There! Mor ought to be more accepted now, The squirrel thought to herself.

Delthion ran ahead past the bend until he could see the walls of the Abbey. Running back he said "Well, we're nearly there! Hurry up!" With that, he leaped back down the path toward Redwall grinning.

OOC: Guys? 'Ello?

  Skarzs peeked in through the slightly too low doorway into Salamandastron. May and Tuck had gone ahead into the mountain to forewarn the inhabitants of his arrival, since he was quite sure there would be quite the turmoil if a creature of his size suddenly turned up.
  He was met with the faces of several officers, as well as armed soldiers, and right in the middle was a badger, who the cougar guessed was the current lord. There was a long moment of silence, more awkward to Skarzs, as they all just looked at each other.
  "Um. . . Hello. I hope I don't give the wrong impression. . ."
  The badger breathed out a silent whistle. "Well," he grunted, turning to the two hare runners, May and Tuck. "You were right; he is bigger than I am." Skarzs stood awkwardly as the badger turned to him again. "Well, master cat, if my two hares said that you aren't an enemy, then I will let you stay here on their word. However, I must ask that any weapons you have be given for . . . eh, safekeeping, so to speak." He smiled in a way that seemed more of politeness than friendliness.
  Skarzs knew what he meant, and put his paw to his side to check for anything there. Interestingly, there was, and he looked to see his Bowie knife he had made! He pulled it out of the sheath and inspected it; yes, it was definitely his. Putting it back in, he undid his belt. Doing so, a "thunk" sounded on his left right, and he found a hammer.
  "Oh, hey!" He picked it up. "My good hammer! Um, do you want this too?"

OOC: James, Soren, since you're both online, can you post, thanks.

Ashenwyte finally lumbered over to Salamandaston's gates, and knocked on it.

OOC: I'm really really sorry for not paying attention to this. I'll try best to focus more on this in the future.

Soren kept running until he reached the structure. A tall, red wall stood in his way. He ran around it, desperately trying to find civilization.

Eul was staring around the building in awe, "It's just the way I imagined it would be," she muttered, listening to her talons tapping on the stone floor and echoing off the massive walls as they walked. Quickly hopping faster, she caught up with the abbott, "Er, father abbott, sir... uh, where are we going?" She asked, looking down at him.

By the time he reached the wall, James had to admit two things: badgers were faster than they looked, and he was still very much out of shape. Without any breath left to run, he settled for a sedate trot and started going around the wall, in the other direction from where he had seen the badger go.

R finally arrived and looked around. James and Soren had disappeared somewhere, so he went left (in Soren's direction) around the walls.

Faiy continued to walk rather slowly, They had been walking for some time and she had a stitch in her side. "Boy am I out of shape," She muttered under her breath. She was also starving, she hadn't eaten anything all day. "They'll have food there right?" She call to him. 

Delthion paused and looked back for a second with an eyebrow raised. "You have read Redwall right? Of course they'll have food! We might be lucky and this will be the season nameday." Then he proceeded onward and came to a halt before the front gate.

"I'm taking you all to our dormitories. Make yourselves comfortable, and then feel free to look around the Abbey," said Abbot Oaktree, as hospitable as ever.
"Thank you so much. You're so kind," spoke Skyblade shyly.
The Abbot nodded. "My duty is to be kind. Now, if you want, you could stay for two more days. That's when we're having our Autumn Nameday."
Skyblade glanced at her other group members. "That would be...unlike anything I've ever seen before. Thank you again."

Each visitor had a dorm. Skyblade looked around her room, contemplating. She had come here for answers. But where to look? The small badger went downstairs and made her way to the Great Hall. There was the tapestry the group had passed earlier, beside it, the sword of Martin. She stood in front of it, drinking in the sight.

Eul had explored her room, then went and explored the area, talking to different creatures and trying to be social. She hopped down a flight of stairs, still in awe of how massive the abbey was. She walked into Great Hall, hopping up next to Sky, "Woah. It looks so real," she commented as she stared at the tapestry, then eyed the sword, "I wonder what it feels like to hold. In the books they always say it's so well balanced and light."

After walking for a little while, James spotted what looked like a small door in the wall. He pondered whether he should keep going and try to meet Soren, but reasoned that there was probably another door or gate somewhere in between and that they'd be more likely to meet inside than out. He looked for some way to open it, and not finding any, stood on three legs and batted the door three times.

Coming around from the other side (and walking past Soren), R found a big, wooden set of doors and proceeded to knock on the door.

OOC: How did we get over the ditch?

"That was a rhetorical question," Faiy said catching up with Del.

"Ah I see! Well, here we are!" Said Delthion, seeing a rather perturbed badger nearby, and an otter.

James knocked on the door again, then sighed. He wasn't looking forward to walking all the way around the building to get to the other side, but it seemed that might be his best option now, so that he didn't lose track of where Soren was. He waited a moment, then began walking on along the wall.

Soren was barely getting used to these strange new appendages. He tried to climb the wall, but apparently he's not great at that. He turned the corner to a large gate. He ran to it, pounding on it. "LET ME IN, I NEED HELP! PLEASE!"

A mouse suddenly opened the door behind James. "Hello-" He halted and stared at the domestic cat before him. He did nothing but stare.

The Gatekeeper, a squirrel, rushed to the Abbey front doors and opened them. "Goodness! Who are you?" she gasped, regarding the badger screaming his voice dry. "Are you under attack?" The squirrel let Søren in and shut the gates frantically.

Skyblade gave Eul a small smile. "Want to find out?" Without finding out if she needed permission, the badger picked up he sword. "Ohh, this is nice." She raised the weapon above her head. "Cool." After putting it back where it belonged, Sky looked around almost aimlessly. "We need to find a way home, not goof off." She continued looking around uncomfortably. "How? Any ideas?"

James immediately stopped and turned his head to look as soon as he heard the sound of the door opening. He saw that a very small creature was now standing at it, and made out the high-pitched, rather squeaky "Hello". James blinked slowly to show that he meant no harm, and began cleaning one of his paws. However, after a few moments had passed and it was evident that no further response was coming, he decided to speak himself.

"What's the matter? Cat got your tongue?"

Soren froze at the sight of the squirrel talking to him. "You...you're just like them, like me like an animal" he stuttered out. "What's going on?! Where am I?!" He asked the squirrel.

BIC: The squirrel stared at Soren. "Oh dear, perhaps there is something the matter with you. There, there, it'll be fine, young one." She turned to Rrrrr. "Where are you two from? What on earth happened?"

The mouse tipped his head. "Aren't you a wildcat? Why do you walk like that?" He rubbed his paws, seriously considering retrieving the Abbot.

James squinted, trying to get a better view of the creature in front of him, then spoke. "I'm afraid not. Actual wildcats are rather rare where I come from. As for your other question, this is how cats move. What's so strange about that?"

"Ah..." The mouse gave up. "Wait here, please." His fading voice reached James' ears: "Father Abbot! Father Abbot, you're needed!"

A few minutes later, two mice came through the door.

"Hello, do you need a place to stay?" asked Abbot Oaktree gently. Ignoring the domestic cat's differences, he continued, "We're always open to those with a good heart and concern for other beasts." The sage looked around for others; he detected none.

"Excuse me?" The abbot turned as a young hedgehog ran up. "There's a badger and otter at the gates, good sir...they seem a bit shocked. Can you come over?"

James blinked. "That sounds agreeable, at least for the time being. And I should like to talk to those two just mentioned; I believe we're acquainted."

He licked one paw, then continued, somewhat nonchalantly. "I suppose this building must be an abbey. Does it have a name?"

"Very well." The older mouse nodded and smiled, motioning for James to come through the side door. "Yes, this is Redwall Abbey, and I'm the Father Abbot. My name's Abbot Oaktree. Who are you, friend?"

Eul grinned, spreading her wings, "Look around us! We're in freaking Redwall Abbey! Sure, we didn't ask to be here, but I'm sure there's a way back. We can talk with the Recorder and the Abbott, maybe a few more members will show up and we can all work together to get home. But for now, relax, Sky! Even if we did find a way back today, would you want to go right now? I mean, I doubt this will ever happen again."

Corn had stayed in her room for a few minutes, then started wandering around. Finding herself in the kitchens, she ducked two helpers carrying a tray of something, and gazed around with a small smile on her face. "Hello, dear. Are you hungry? Or have you come to help?" Another squirrel, this one rather round, asked kindly. "Oh! I'd love to help," Cornflower responded enthusiastically, and a few moments later she was immersed in a pike of potatoes that needed peeling.

 Morgazath hid behind a wall as a horde of dibbuns stampeded past like a torrent of fur. Sighing in relief, he headed for the spot where Martin's tapestry hung. Spotting Eul and Skyblade, he quickly hid next to a pillar.

He whispered to them. "That darn Abbot! Once the dibbuns learned I wasn't going to eat them, they wanted to play with me. Plus they wanted to ride on my back. This is ridicules!"

R responded to the abbot. "My name's R", he said.

Eul smirked as much as she could with a beak, "Heh, I'd rather it be you rather than me. Sorry 'bout that, though. Maybe you could just scare them away...." She suggested, adjusting her wings to a more comfortable position, "Dang, I just love having wings. I'm gonna go fly around for a bit is there anything you two need?" She asked as she turned to go.

Soren stared at the squirrel with a sick look on his face. "I'm not from here, wherever here is." A rush of realization as to his situation hit him. "Hey, just WHERE ARE WE?" He asked the squirrel.

BIC: "Redwall Abbey," the squirrel told Soren as she led both him and R into the Great Hall.

Skyblade turned, her eyes widening at the sight of a young badger and otter entering the building. "Who are they?" she asked the squirrel politely, keeping herself a few feet away from the strangers.

"They're visitors. The otter is called R, and I'm not sure about the other badger." The squirrel leaned in to Sky and whispered, "I don't think he's right in the head."

But she was was staring at the otter. "Are you R from the Redwall forum? I'm Skyblade."

Then a hedgehog led a squirrel (Faiy) and her companions inside.

"That's a lot of visitors," said Skyblade, her fur tingling. "Who are you all, now?"

"I'm Faiy, This is Del and that is Jet," Faiy said pointing to each of them as she said their name. "And you all are?"

"Really glad to see more members from the forum." The badger straightened up and forced a wide, awkward smile. "I'm Skyblade, the hawk is Eul, and the wolf is Morg. Corny the squirrel and Sand the hare are also here. Somewhere." She looked around.

"What...uh...yes", said R, responding to Skyblade. "Wow..." said R to himself, looking around the abbey.

OOC: Ash. . . I don't want to post until you do. :P

Wandering out of the kitchen and finding herself in Great Hall with a scone, Corn noticed all the visitors. Her eyes widened as she started to back away. Maybe they won't notice me if I just walk around the edge of Great Hall, she thought hopefully. Then she heard a squirrel say that she was Faiy, and introduced a mouse as Del, and a cat as Jet. Almost dropping her scone, Corn decided to just hurry through the Hall and had taken a few steps when Sky started talking. "Actually, I'm right here, Skye. Hi guys, I'm Corn." She said quietly, still inching towards the exit. Then the Abbot clapped a hand on her shoulder and she jumped, "So, you all know each other?" He asked.

"Corn! Nice to see you, and yes we know each other," Faiy said with a winning smile, "I assume you are the abbot," She added "It is so nice to finally be here, I have heard lot about your illustrious abbey. You might say I am something of a scholar. I have always wanted to visit but I lived so far away. You don't happen to have any of that marvelous food I have heard about lying around, Oh sorry I'm rambling, I'm Faiyloe," She said grabbing the abbots paw and and shaking it.

Are you who I think you are?"

  Skarzs raised an eyebrow. "Um, maybe?" He spun his hammer in his paw. "Not sure how many peop-creatures, around here know what kind of animal I am, so. . ." He wasn't entirely sure he heard the badger's name correctly, and while his hearing was better than before, it seemed, he didn't want to make any assumptions.

"Good to know," said Skyblade as the Abbot welcomed everyone into the Abbey and showed them their dorms.

A few hours had passed since. Sky had searched the Abbey from the inside out. Having found nothing that cleared the fog, the badger was now sitting outside warily.

"Hello?" A shy mouse popped outside. "We're having a dinner feast; care to join us, my lady?"

Skyblade smiled at the beast. "Yes, please."

Food! It could be smelled before seen, and seen before tasted. Sky negotiated the full tables hungrily and went to where her friends (?) were seated. "Hello, what's up? I wouldn't relax too much if I were you. So, I was looking around for answers. Found nothing, though."

"Well, mountain lion, my name is Ashenwyte. Sounds familiar?" he said, tapping his footpaw on the stone floor.

OOC: Hey guys, let's try to continue this. I've been meaning to post but keep forgetting, so hopefully this'll get others to get back in as well. This is too good an idea to go to waste.

BIC: "Ashenwyte, Ashen. . ." Skarzs stopped and raised his brows. "Wait, really? From the forum?"
  The badger lord interrupted. "You two know each other?"
  " . . . Kind of?" Skarzs shrugged as a look of confusion crossed the badger's face. "It's. . . complicated."
  The badger rubbed his chin. "Well, whatever the case, I suppose it is my turn to introduce myself. I am Lord Endstripe, the, well, lord of the mountain Salamandastron, here." He folded his paws behind his back. "Well, I can offer you two some hospitality for a while, but I must say that having more than one badger in the mountain does not usually end well, and a creature of your. . ." Endstripe looked at Skarzs. ". . . Kind may not be, well, comfortable for long."

OOC: So, where are we?

OOC: Currently waiting for RPers to get back on their feet.

OOC: right, let's bring this RP back. My character is going out to fly, is there anyone out in the forest that she could see and lead back to Redwall? Or do you guys want to find your own way there? I could just talk with the members at the Abbey.

OOC: Thanks for reviving, Skar! And Eul, good idea. Let's see what people say.

BIC: Skyblade grinned widely as she ate her meal. Redwall food at last, this was truly a blessing. The badger was going to enjoy it while it lasted. Despite this, she turned to the others with a solemn expression. "We need to go back home. I know this place is great, but we don't belong here. Plus, the people we know in real life are going to miss us." For a few moments, a shade of anxiety passed across her striped face. Did her parents already know she was gone? Her brother probably wouldn't even care, but her parents...well, they didn't need this kind of stress. The badger sighed.

Delthion decided to stand outside the group and if anyone wanted to talk to him then he would speak. But not before.

OOC: I don't remember where I was, so I am just going to follow Faiy! ;D

OOC: Did I join this RP? I have a feeling I did.
