The Signup for my "A Winter to Freeze Your Heart Part 2" roleplay. It takes place one season after the Abbey was captured, so some creatures can have died, and others may have joined the battle. The character limit is increased to three. Signups end on 20th of February, though the Roleplay will start on the 10th. Use whatever character sheet you want. The one below is an example/model.

This look's fun I might Join. For some weird reason I am feeling inclined to play Grund. I was never good at playing bad characters. I will probably play the abbess or an abbey warrior or something... A warrior who had a broken hart that was mended but it mended crooked resulting in bloodwrath and violent tendency, and a short temper. She is constantly fighting with her self to keep her self under control. She stays away from weapons and is constantly holding herself back. She thinks of her bloodwrath like an affliction, a disease and a curse.
Well looks like I have my character. I left and came back and that is what I thought of. I'll make a character sheet for her soon.

Are the searats are gonna attack redwall right? I was thinking, it would be cool if the searats somehow convinced Kartaka to attack with them. What do you think?
That would be pretty neat. It's a good idea, though the Searats are mainly focusing on Salamandrastron. Maybe we could have Kartaka end up with Grund's Horde, or get the Searats to Redwall somehow.
Actually, that would make more sense, Kartaka in Grunds horde, who are coming from the Northlands. Ok!

Personality: Gallant, proud and regal. A real hero in his own eyes... Everyone else see's him as a well meaning klutz (He was given his name after nearly dying from the worst case of poison oak in the history of Salamandastron.) He is also a notorious glutton.
Notable features: Thin and gangly, always sporting some new splint or bandage from this weeks mishap.
He sounds awesome and yes your in the right place. Is he on the Redwalls side or not? I like the way you discribed his eyes :D

Apologies aside, the twist that these two beasts could provide should be quite interesting to watch. >:D (IE: I love it)
NO keep it just the way he is. ;D there are enough differences to make it really interesting. like my character avoids fighting even though it is in her blood and she is a girl while yours is a boy.

Ehm, I've been reading the RP, and since Blaggut seems to be leaving it, this might be a good time for you guys to start a "Part Two" to this RP. :P

And I agree with Skarzs, this would be maybe a good time to start a part two. The horde have taken over Redwall, the Redwallers are gonna have to find a hideout, (it would be cool if they discover Brockhall), and quite a few of the main characters are injured.

Anyone who wishes can join until the signups are closed, like before. And Rachel, you can take over Grund. Only the wall guards have to die. Everybeast in the grounds can be scared. Scaring the wallguards would provide a good distraction for Vatra and I to get behind them.

Notable Features: A scar on his check, and a tattoo behind is left ear of two crossed swords.
Other: Is from a wealthy, family, who owned a lot of land far up east. His family dealt in slaves, and was permanently at war with a tribe of badgers. One day the badgers defeated Raphael's family, took their land, and hunted down Raphael's family, and killed them. Raphael was the only one to escape. He lived in the woods for a while, until he found Grund's horde. He asked to join, and Jantar instantly took him under her wing. She began to train him, and he is her personally assistant.

Personality: is quiet, and shy, and very hard to talk to. He's always uncomfortable, unless he knows you really well, will barley say a word in a conversation, unless the conversation is about art.
Notable Features: A dark brown stripe over his left eyes, and a scar on his left arm.
Other: Grew up in Mossflower and loves art, and has a natural talent at it, ever since he was a child. Was trained to perfect his skill by his grandfather, who also was brilliant at art. His grandfather died when Ushen was fifteen, and Ushen never really got on with his father. When he was seventeen he moved out, and lived in his grandfather's old house. Is rarely there, or in Mossflower, and travels all over the place, not because he likes traveling, but so he can collect, and discover new things to make paints out of, and new scenes he can draw. But always comes back to Mossflower after so many seasons, but still hasn't talked to his father since he moved out.

The fact that she has the blood wrath the fact that she is even alive is beyond me. I think that Ervoyce is more stupid than she is. I am beginning to see a pattern. I run off you follow you get me mad and I chase you all the way back in a rage almost killing you in the process. I realize what I am doing and then I get all upset and burst into tears. you comfort me and convince me to come back to ... where ever they are staying... I go back something bad happens and it all starts over again. ;D

As far as the in RP OOC: posts have been concerned, how do you plan on doing something devastating to the Woodlanders? 1.) They know Mossflower inside and out 2.) There's a murderous band of Northern warriors just waiting for any vermin to dare to set foot outside the walls 3.) The Woodlanders encampment is surrounded by traps, and is watched constantly. You may have a horde, and you may also have Redwall..... But we have the woods. (and food, which is going to be a very big problem for you. Vermin aren't farmers)
I just realized something very interesting about Vatra. When I first made her I was going threw a bit of depression. I used the forums as a kind of scapegoat. As I healed she did too. I now realize part of the reason she became such a good character was because I had been using her has an outlet for my own feelings.
I just love how all of this turned out. I think we have one of the best character groups here. They just play of each other so well.
I know the feeling, Va-Faiy. We've done so much and gotten into this RP so much I keep on wanting to call Faiy Vatra, Dan Ervoyce, Rach Zanga or Ushen! How are we going to end this?!

There is a big difference between attempting to do something and actually succeeding. To make it realistic she should probably do something and it can make the wonderlands life more difficult. Also It is hard to do this all on your own. Perhaps each of us should create a vermin character to play on that side. To take the load of of Rachel and to add in even more fun. ;D Personally I am thinking of stirring up discontent among the troops.

So I went back and read a lot of the first part, and holy crab-nuggets the quality! Everyone is doing SO MUCH BETTER, I'm really impressed with how far the lot of you have come, especially Corn and Faiy. :)

I think that it should be my job to get a hold of the Guosim seeing as Ervoyce has not really lived in the aria for a long time and he already got to call in the... storm people... whatever there name was... Torrent! That's what there name was. Any way. Vatra has lived in the aria a few years/seasons. long enough to know about the Guosim and to be familiar with them. I don't think anyone else aside from Ushen would be qualified. However If you want to do it Rachel feel free but seeing as how you already have a lot on your hands I can do it if you don't want to.

Am I the only person that has a HUGE problem with burning the tapestry? Also, the whole point of us getting the guosim was to even the odds, it's not fair if every time one side gets reinforcements, the other side gets the same or even more.
I agree with Dan like I already said You can't just burn it.
As a bystander, I'm not sure what the problem is, even if it does get burned. It isn't like it's sacred or anything. Abbeydwellers made it, they can make another one. But just because a character took a torch to it, anyway, doesn't mean that the whole thing has to burn. Somebody can always think up a way to save it, even if it requires having Martin supernaturally come down and throw water on it.
I was considering having Martin intervene, but I didn't want to suggest it because I figured no one else would like the idea. It just seems to make more sense to not have it burn at all.
The only beast really in the position to save the tapestry and have it be believable would be Jantar and Rachel plays that character.
Jantar is a seer: Perhaps Martin could do something that makes her really dislike the idea of it being burned. ;)

And I would just like to say I am getting a little annoyed at how usless the vermin seem to be. These are meant to be the horde that took Redwall Abbey! So I am gonna have Raphael get some hardened warriors in so the end battle will actually be fair. The Redwallers seem to have an endless suplly of warriors and the Torrent guys and now the Guosim.

Point, though it may seem, I didn't care how the vermin reacted to the charade, that was entirely up to you, I controlled one for the sake of fluidity but their actual fright was completely out of my hands. I brought the Guosim to counter the resurgence of numbers you got, even with the guosim, we've likely only got around 200-250 able bodies as opposed to your 450-500.... Somehow, adding more onto the number that's twice as large doesn't constitute fair in my eyes. The Torrent consist of around.... was it 30 or 60? something like that, and some of them are out for the count, so subtract about 15 or so from that number. The Guosim travel in packs sizing generally from 60-110 or so, and their fighting presence is far less than most. Meanwhile, our able bodied Redwallers are realistically around 40-80 after all the losses, and their fighting prowess is far less than the Guosim's (note the difference between presence and prowess). The Torrent and the played characters are the heaviest contributors, numbers that are sorely lacking. Obviously, I can't tell anyone one way or another what to do, seeing as this is a GMless, open-plot RP, but that's my perspective laid out about as clearly as I can put it.
And they are frightened but that doesn't meant that they can't still be good fighters. Besides scared vermin sometimes fight more frantically because they have nothing to lose.
Fine but I was always only planning on bringing up to mayby six or seven trained warriors/assenins. Its also so I can drive a bigger wedge between Jantar and Raphael. Cus what I'm trying to do is have the more militant character taking over and since all the vermin in the horde seem to be superstious, Raphael needs very strong generals to surround him and to scare everyone else into following him and not Jantar.
Like I said, it's your character, it's your call. If you think that's what's best for the RP, I'm not going to stop you.

We're at the end, so yeah. I just need to get my thoughts together.
First off what is the plan of attack oh genius mastermind of the battle field (that's you dan).
I posted! Okay, so the idea's this. The Torrent will start by sending about 5 squads of 4 to establish hooked lines between the trees and the walls (two will have large shields, while the other one sets up the line, and the other is an archer to pop up and drop any guard that isn't well covered) meanwhile the otters with slings and javelins will be watching for heads that poke too far above the battlements. Thing is, this entire part of the operation is a diversion, because the... Bird (been too long my friends), will be dropping in from behind the vermin on guard. This is why the operation is being done shortly before dawn, the darkness is needed to conceal the bird, but light would be beneficial to fight in. He will then unlock the gate while the Guosim and Redwallers rush the now open gate. Should the vermin manage to spot plan A in action, the Archers in the trees will get extremely aggressive while the shielded squirrels make their way across the line as fast as they can, loading the wall top with a some total of 10 rather ticked off Torrent that will open the gate. The idea is for all 3 groups the fan out from the (I believe southern wicker gate). The Guosim will split off and focus on cleaning up the grounds in squads, the Torrent will be looking for a way to break in on the beasts inside the abbey, while the Redwallers will hang between, supporting both groups in whatever they need assistance with.
I would imagine that the Kestrel/hawk/eagle/whatever it is should have little to no problem getting the gate open, though everybeast will have to be wary of the southern wall top as there will likely be guards left. Seeing as it's now getting close to dawn, I'd imagine that there are few beasts in the yards, with more on the walls than anything else while the majority of the vermin are holed up in the main building. Also, assuming that there ARE vermin capable of thinking on their side, I would guess that all entrances to the Abbey building itself would be barred and barricaded (to an extent) while the main army was being hastily woken up and prepped for the fight, essentially sacrificing everybeast on the walls and in the yard to the complete lack of mercy they're going to receive (especially from the Torrent). Here's where I imagine things will tense up, but slow down. Time for PM's!
EDIT: During said anticipated lull, the Torrent and Guosim will form up into a curved/forward-facing version of the Guosim windmill maneuver better protected by Torrent shields and weapons.

Tragedy comes for us all :'( This plot point's been waiting to happen for many years... and on a side note, it may just be the post I'm most proud of ^-^ I don't think I've ever gotten to work with such strong emotional theming before. Took awhile to write through all the tears, but I find myself happy nonetheless.
