So, who's looking forward to Guardians of the Galaxy? In my opinion it's going to be the best MARVEL film yet. Granted I haven't seen Days of Future Past but GotG just looks amazing especially Rocket, Drax and Ronan. I'm a bit "eh" about Star Lord, Gamora and Groot, we haven't really seen enough of the latter two and I personally don't find this version of Star Lord all that great.
So yeah, opinions?
Me wanna see it ;-)
It looks really cool; it might even be on par with the Avengers.
I really want to see it! I'll be gone when it comes out though :-\
I'm going to see it the day it comes out with some of my friends
When is it coming out? :P
Where you are, August 1st, we Brits get it a day early and its on July 31st for us
I wonder why that is? For movies like the LOTR/Hobbit, I can see why, but not really something like Guardians of the Galaxy. Maybe it has something to do with the time zones.
Ah moight zee it, it lookz intereztin'. O' courze, Ah 'avenae zeen Dayz O' Future Pazt yet, zae...
I think it comes out August 1.
I saw it today, like I just got home from seeing it. And it is hilarious! Very tongue in cheek, I loved it.
I wouldn't say its the best Marvel film yet, but I would happily buy it as soon as it comes out, and watch it again, and again. Also, there are gonna be other Guardians of the Galaxy films, so I'm excited about where Marvel are gonna take it.
So, if your thinking about going to see it, do, its brilliant!
Nice! It comes out in the US tomorrow!
Watched it today, my favourite Marvel film so far, pleased to see Gamora, Groot and Star Lord were good. Rocket just stole the movie though, I love Rocket so much, he doesn't have my favourite quote though
"He says he may be an a-hole but he's not, and I'm quoting him here, 100% a piece of male anatomy that I'm not allowed to mention on this site"
"And do you believe him?"
"I don't think anybody's 100% a piece of male anatomy that I'm not allowed to mention on this site ma'am"
"No I meant do you believe he's here to help?"
"Well... yeah"
I can't wait to see it.
Also, the new Avengers movie they're making: That looks really cool too.
@jett. I really like starlord and that is one of my favioute quotes from the film. Rocket was awesome it was hilarious with the prisoners leg! There was a lot more bad language in this one than the other marvel. But i didnt mind it, and i loved the music in it. Yeah it was a really enjoyable film. Its ot my favioute marvel film ever buts in my top five.
They are convicts, right? Think about that and consider why they might swear more. :P
Thing is they sensor a-hole but they don't sensor real swear words, it's weird
Technically their outlawers, but I really didn't mind the swearing. It was my sister who complained about it, but they have to talk like they would if they were real outlawers. Not all Marvel characters can talk like Thor. ::)
Anyway, I've convinced, (with the help of my brother, sister, and grandma) my parents to go see it. Their going tonight. ;D
And I've decided to change my profile pic to whatever the latest Marvel film is. Also, there's an awesome video Marvel have made that you guys have gotta see. I'm just gonna go find it...............
I find it! This is the perfect video to show someone to get them into Marvel.
Am I the only one who felt this movie was just OK? I'm not a Marvel fan, superhero fan, comic book fan, or any of that. Yet, I heard the film had pretty good reviews and thought I'd give it a shot. It wasn't terrible but it was so predictable, I don't see myself ever watching this again. Even the ending where they defeat the villain as one power (can't even remember their names this is how forgettable this film was) and say "You said it yourself bitch, we're the guardians of the galaxy" I don't feel it had to be said that way, but they were trying to look cool and all. I get it. But I've got a basket of corn now. ;)
Anyway I kind of had a feeling the talking raccoon would be the one with the best lines. He did. Just nothing spectacular about this one.
Rocket was my favorite hands down.
True, its not the best Marvel film ever, but I really liked it, and will buy it.
So what is the best Marvel film Rach?
In my opinion so far, X Men Days of Future Past. (though I haven't seen Winter soldier yet, but my brother's bought it, and it should be here next Friday ;D) But I'm not saying Guardians of the Galaxy was bad, I'm just saying there are better Marvel films. (and the Iron Mans are brilliant)
I saw the movie. AMAZING! It's by one of my favorite movies. Rocket and Groot are by far one of the best pairs I've seen in a movie for a long time. I hope the sequels will be as good! ;D
Gonna go see it in a couple of hours! I'll tell you how it is afterwards.
Ok, hope you enjoy it!
Well...It was pretty good. Imma gonna put what I think about it in a spoiler.
Seriously do not open this unless you have seen the movie. It will ruin your experience. I promise you
Gamora was a useless character. There was no depth or really anything good about here. Rocket and Groot were, as I expected the standout. Especially baby Groot dancing.Drax was alright,as was Starlord. Thumbs up to Marvel for Marvel putting Yondu and the Collector in, I Did NOT see that coming. Also it would have been good if they actually got the Infinity Stone's power right but whatever. All in all though I think it was awesome. I would go see it again.
Those are fair points, I did find Gamora to be a very weak character, but the others are awesome!
I opened the spoiler, although I haven't seen the movie.
I will point out that I didn't actually read what was inside.
Worried me there for a second Skarzy. I thought I would have to go all Groot on you for a second there.
I AM GROOT!
;D
I AM TROLL.
No No, You see, all Groot can say is, I AM GROOT!
We Are Groot. :o
So just got back from seeing GOTG and that was an amazing movie! One of the better Marvel movies I've seen in a long time. Loved all the characters and can't wait for the sequel.
Yay! I'm glad you enjoyed it! Have you seen Winter Soldier yet?
I don't mean to dis Captain America, but just never cared to see those movies. I can't believe I even bothered to see Iron Man 2 (and don't even care to see the third one) and I never saw Avengers. 75% of the characters in that movie I have never seen their original movies (I saw the sequel to Thor, but I pretty much had an understanding of what happened in the first one).
I just hope the sequel (which I'm sure it will) will be just as good as the first Guardians.
