Grace stood watching the cold ashes of the barn skater in the wind. All that was left was a chard skeleton and even that was on the verge of collapse. The day before she had gone out to the barn and found the hay smoldering. She had tried her hardest but no mater how fast she got water to the flames it still grew. One of the village boys had gone as fast as he could to alert The lady Garvina But by the time the solders had gotten there it was to late. Grace went over to the well and filed her bucket with water. She Went back to the hut and stoked the fire to make breakfast. Her uncle did the farming she had a little plot of vegetables but the crops it yielded did not provide much of an income. At the moment he had gone into town to get something. He had said it was a treat.
OOC: Are we starting from where we left off? Or is this a little way in the future?
OOC: It is the next morning. The night has passed and every one has returned to there castles for the most part.
OOC: Ok.
BIC: Donavin lay in bed, restless. A full on war would almost certainly be declared.
Cap'n Jallek Sparra looked out from the treetop he had climbed over the lush green leaves of Mossflower. It had been a while since he had been in the south to check up on his smuggler's den in Mossflower and he was sick and tired of sitting in his crime haven up north for so long, especially during the winter. "Aight boys! Coast looks clear, so bring those spice crates in and don't be seen by any soldiers. Ide hate to escape another hanging by those blasted otter lords." He climbed down the tree and supervised the smugglers of The Emblem, his personal smuggling corporation. Stroking his cutlass he thought, "I wonder how the lovely Lady Garvina is faring... Been a mighty long while since I've seen the likes of her..."
Lady Bryony was sitting on her bed at the moment, staring at a small picture an artist had once drawn of Garvina. She'd found it in her possessions, while going through them earlier that morning. Well, Garvina wouldn't be needing it any more, so she took it to her room, and had been staring at it for the last hour.
Orvil was traveling, with about a score of men with him. He could see Castle Sydd in the not to far distance. He had a lot he wanted to say to Donavin. Most of it swearing, but some of it would be reasonable.
OOC: Hey, Rachel, has Arya been let out of the gatehouse yet?
OOC: Wow, Rachel. Wow.
...Can I just say, I really like the way you're playing Donavin? You make him seem like a good man, but also a somewhat odd one, and sometimes a jerk. It's amazing! XD

@Rusvul, wow! Thanks, I'm kind of basing him on parts of some real people I know, but most of it is just trying to get inside his head. I just seem to like playing people like him. That's why I jumped at the chance of using him. ::)
BIC: Adlais had recovered somewhat, although he had a bandage around his head, he didn't really think he needed it. The wound had stopped bleeding ages ago, all he had now as a terrible headache.
He was outside now, not really sure what to do. He remembered that he'd left one of his books in the Gatehouse. He could try to read a bit. He saw the door was locked, but didn't think anything of it, he had a key anyway. So he opened it.

Donavin had got bored of feeling sorry for himself, this was strange in its self. He often felt sorry for himself a lot, but at the moment, he just couldn't be bothered. So he had limbed down into his private office, and sat in there, drinking......something. Whatever it was it was strong, so he sat in there, actually trying to think what to do. Should he try, and apologise to the Lonels? No, Lady Bryony wouldn't except it, she would probably kill the messenger or something. Donavin wasn't very close to his brother at all, but he knew Lady Bryony had been to her sister, so she wouldn't be in any hurry to forgive him. Oh dear, what a mess.

Orvil strode up the road to Sydd Castle, he couldn't see anyone on the walls, he couldn't hear anyone outside either. That worried him, had something terrible happened?
He was almost running up to the gate, his men behind him.
Grace began to boil water in a pot over the fire when her uncles figure appeared in the doorway. She turned and he hung up his hat and sat down with out a word. He was silent all threw the meal. Grace watched him anxiously but she knew not to interrupt him when he was eating and acting like this. It either meant something really bad happened or he was reminiscing. He got up to leave but as he was heading out the door Grace stopped him "Uncle? What happened?" He turned back to look at her and said "The Lady's dead," and then walked off without another word.
Cap'n Jallek Sparra pointed his smugglers in the direction of the crime den and strayed awa from the group towards Castle Lonel. He had intended to visit an old companion of his, the now Lady Garvina Lonel. It had been several seasons since he had seen his childhood friend and tried to remember the exact location of the castle.
Arya jumped - Someone had opened the gatehouse door. "She drew her dagger, and pointed it at the otter. "Who are you, and when do I get to leave? I've been here since last night, when someone shot me in the shoulder." She growled.
Adlais jumped in surprise, so that was why the door was locked. He immediately slammed the door shut again, and hastened to lock it.

Orvil got to the Main Gate, and began banging on it, and shouting, "Open up! Open up!"
"Errgh!" Arya growled, as she heard the door lock./ She ran over to the door quickly, and shouted through the keyhole, "HEY! You out there! I don't mean any harm, okay! I just want to get out of here! And some food would be nice." She shouted, then heard the banging. She sighed, and walked back to the bed. She fell on it, back first, and stared at the ceiling. "How long is this going to take?" She groaned, still staring at the ceiling.
Zuzucath was scoping out a small farmhouse in the squirrels' domain. He rubbed his paws in anticipation. "Burn, burn, all in turn, making fire go much higher! Yesss. . ."
Grace stopped and stared after him. Thoughts raced threw her head as she began to clean up after the meal. 'What dose this mean... A war? Who will be the new leader? This feud is going to tare the two family's apart, but what can I do about it...' She wasn't sure about any of it and soon gave up trying. She left the cottage grabbing a basket on the way out and heading over to the small garden that she kept there. She could just see her uncles figure heading over the hills.
Lady Bryony sighed, and got up off the bed. Time to do something that was....Noy going to be enjoyable. It was time to go see what had happened yesterday, and why those otters had shot at Garvina. Oh, if only she'd have waited a little longer...Just a little bit longer. She went out of her room, and told the captain to get a score of men together on the double, ready to move.
Adlais jumped, and ran up onto the walltops. When he saw Orvil he jumped again. What was he doing here?
Orvil saw someone on the wall, and shouted up, "Open the gate now! What's going on? Where is everybody?"
Adlais didn't really know what to say, so he just shrugged, and ran down from the wall again, and opened the gate. Orvil came striding in, and looked around. "Where's Donavin?" He demanded.
"In his private rooms." Adlais answered, "He's not to be disturbed."
"Oh, I'll disturb him alright." Orvil growled, "Get my men some food, and somewhere to sleep. We'll be staying for a while."
"Yes sir!" Adlais saluted.
Arya heard some commotion in the courtyard place, and vaulted off the bed and ran to the door, which she began banging. "Let me out! D'you hear me? LET ME OUT NOW!!" She started screaming.
Adlais looked at the door, not sure what to do. Orvil was striding off toward the Castle.
He burst in through the doors, and stormed upstairs. He came to Donavin's private rooms, and flung the door open. Donavin was sprawled in a chair, making out with some sort of alcohol based drink. He giggled when he saw Orvil.
"Oh, hi there brother! Fancy meeting you here."
"What are you doing?" Orvil growled.
"Shss, shsss, shsss." Donavin held up a paw, "Don't shout, its not very nice, and they might here you." He laughed again, and went back to drinking.
Orvil was hard put not to beat the living day lights out of Donavin. It was then he noticed how bashed up Donavin was. Black eye, brushed jaw, cuts on his face, and neck, he'd obviously done something bad to his leg. "What's going on?" Orvil said in disbelieve.
Donavin giggled, and took a long drink from his bottle, it was a big bottle, and it was almost empty now. "She's dead! Garvina. She's dead. My men shot her." He made a whistling sound like an arrow, and then a thudding sound as it hit.
Orvil couldn't, wouldn't believe it, "Your drunk."
"That much is obvious." Donavin laughed.
"If she's dead, then, we're looking at a full on war." Orvil sat heavily on a nearby chair.
"Yeah, won't it be fun!" Donavin beamed.
OOC: Oh I couldn't help but crack up when I read Donavin's lines.
OOC: Thank you, thank you! I'm here all week! ;D
Voxx rolled out of his hammock in the lower barracks, woken by a muffled shouting and a repetitive thumping sound. He quickly dressed himself and went in the direction of the sound.
Finding himself at the gatehouse door, he kicked it. "You again! Shut up in there. You're in no position to give me orders. Donavin will decide what to do with you. Until then, nobeast's going to let you out, so you might as well save your breath."
OOC Voxx doesn't know Arya's in there. ::)

OOC: He can hear her shouting. And if I'm not mistaken, he's heard her voice before.
OOC: My bad.
BIC: Arya groaned, "Not you?!?!? And as far as I know, the Donavin guy has no. Clue that I'm here at all!!" Arya shouted, kicking the door, imagining the door was Voxx.
Voxx turned his back on the door. "Well, then you'll wait until Donavin is not blind drunk. And shut up, alright, or else I'll ask Donavin to pass judgement now. Trust me- You don't want that."
Arya just groaned, and walked to the bed and flopped down on it, landing on her shoulder, ("Ouch!") and started staring at the ceiling again.

BIC: "Well," Orvil sighed, not at all sure what to do. "Well." He said again. No, he couldn't just sit here, and do a Donavin, and feel sorry for himself. Even if Donavin wouldn't take charge of his own men, he would.
Orvil stood up, and stormed out the room, as he slammed the door, Donavin fell out his chair, and landed with a thud on the floor. Gasping for breath, and with the room spinning, he struggled to his feet. Then fell over an empty bottle, and bashed his head on the edge of his desk. Out for the count, he lay on the floor, amongst the mess of his room.
Voxx crossed back across the castle grounds and called out to one of the guards, "Soldier. What is the state of Lord Donavin?" The guard guard saluted and replied. "In his quarters, Sir, not to be disturbed. Oh, and sir- Orvil just arrived." "Thank you, Soldier." Voxx strode in the castle doors, keeping an eye out for the otter king.
Orvil was looking for someone who was in charge, and sober. Voxx would be best, but he couldn't seem to find him. Orvil huffed, and kept walking, surly he had to be somewhere, unless Donavin had been an idiot, well, more of an idiot, and demoted him or something.
David came to the castle Sydd (OOC: That's what its called right?) but instead of going to the front gate he scaled a tree and leaped over to the wall. He then spotted Orvil and jumped down to the grounds near him.
"What's happening here?"
Voxx caught sight of Orvil, and quickened his step. Seeing David leap over the wall, he cried out jokingly. "Whoa! Need to trim that tree, eh?" He regarded Orvil. "Haven't seen you in a while, sir."
David looked back at Voxx with a wry smile. "I wouldn't worry to much. Don't think any normal person would be able to make the breech,"
Arya decided that since she was going to be keprt prisoner, why not BE a peisoner? In other words, annoying. So, she picked up a book, smiled, then threw itr at the door. Thud! It was a satisfying sound, so she threw another, and then another, and another.
David heard the sound of the book hitting the gate house door and with out even turning around said flicking a thumb back towards the door "Who's in the gate house?"
Orvil saw Voxx approaching, and smiled, then David appeared. "Aw, David. I was wondering when you'd show up, and I have no idea who's in the gatehouse."
Orvil turned back to Voxx, "Ok, what's going on around here? I can't get any sense out of Donavin, so I'm relying on you to fill me in.
OOC: @Faiyloe, yeah that's it's name, but you missed out a D at the end. ::)
Voxx started to shrug, and then remembered who he was speaking to. "I'm not entirely sure, sir. I just woke. Yesterday, though, the Lonel... No, I should probably back up. Yesterday, I was sent to burn a Lonel barn. Kind of a standard mission- Arson and border skirmishes have been going on for a while. But they returned fire- Quite literally. They attacked the dam. Me and my soldiers tried to fend them off, but a crazy weasel attacked, screaming about blood and 'tasties.' I think he intended to massacre us all, and eat us. He lit a fire, and it spread. There was a brief moment where myself, Donavin, and Garvina were all trying to sever the dam- 'Twas the only way to stop he forest fire, Sir. We blew the dam and quelled the fire... But my memory is a little hazy from then on. Garvina, though..." he paused for just a nanosecond, and he seemed just a little bit sad "She was shot by one of our archers. She did not survive. Oh, and there's a squirrel trapped in the gatehouse. Making a right noise, she is. I told her Lord Donavin would decide what to do with her, but it seems he's... Unintelligible... for the moment. I suppose the decision falls to you. Orders?"
"I'll leave you to it then," David said and then walked over to the gate house drawing his dagger. Just in case whoever was in there was hostile. He quietly unlocked the door and flung it open and Wham! got a book square in the face. He clapped a paw to his nose and looked up to see another squirrel and a pretty one at that. His eyebrow raised up a notch.
Orvil sighed deeply, "I have no idea what to do. Is that squirrel important to the Lonels? We could use it as a bargaining chip."
Voxx drew a knife and aimed it at the squirrel. "I have no idea. Squirrel! Name and rank. Now!"

Arya was stunned. "Excuse me? Did I hear right? Me work for you?" She said loudly, gesturing at Orvil. "Even if I wasn't employed, I'd rather die." She said snidely.
David put his paws up in mock surrender "I was just having some fun with the little lady, Shes a feisty one isn't she," He said sitting himself down in a chair placing his hand behind his head and his feet on the table.
Orvil raises an eyebrow at the squirrelmaid's response, "Fine by me."
Then he commented to Voxx, "I don't think she's worth much. Maybe we could send her back with a message."
Arya almost went over and smacked that insolent squirrel, but as it was, her leg flared. Her eyes widened and she gave a gasp, and bent over a tad, but straightened up. "Don't underestimate me. It can be fatal." She said, sugary sweet.
David stood and the playful sparkle of blue left his eye replaced by a mechanizing green. " Oh I don't underestimate any one," he said with a cold tone in his voice. Then a small dagger which he seemed to pull out of no where flew past Arya just inches from her face and landed in the middle of the O in the title painted on the cover of a book across the room. "I would watch who you pick your fights with though," he said slowly walking across the room and retrieving the dagger.
"That's enough David. Restrain her while I write a letter for her to take to her employer." Orvil ordered, and strode away.
Arya hadn't flinched when the dagger went whistling past her face, and calmly told Orvil, "Oh, you don't have to restrain me. I have patience." She said.
David hid the dagger back in the slot in his wooden wrist guard and fallowed Orvil out there was a hidden grin on his face. He liked her she was a fighter. This wouldn't be the last She saw of him. He would make sure of that.
Arya went over to the door, and asked througfh the door, "Hey! When am I getting my weapons back?" She called.
OOC: David is with Orvil. At least, I think so.
Donavin woke slowly, the first thing he noticed as the dried blood on the floor beneath his head. He sat up slowly, and felt his head, there was a lump, and quite a bit of dried blood, but there was also a scab. He looked around him, wow, what a mess, and what a weird dream he'd had. He'd dreamed that Orvil was here, thank goodness it was just a dream. then the door opened, and Orvil walked in. Donavin saw him, swore, and flopped back onto the floor in a temper. What was he doing here?!?
OOC: Is that better?
"When Lord Orvil feels like it," David called back not stopping or slowing his pace. He then left Orvil to do his thing and went to find the kitchen.
"Are you actually sober?" Orvil said drily, sitting down at the desk, and looking for writing materials.
"Yes, but I wish I wasn't." Donavin growled, "Anyway, what are you doing here? Why can't you be happy with controlling your own land?"
"I'm here, because you are obviously out of your depth." Orvil said, not even looking at Donavin, but beginning to write.
"Well, I know what I think of that."
"So do I. But I'd rather not hear your pathetic swearing, so keep it to yourself."

"Oh, shut up Donavin."
"Why should I? This is my Castle. I can tell you to get out if I want."

Arya threw another book at the door, and then noticed a whet stone on a table. She drew her dagger, and started sharpening to it, to pass the time.
OOC: Heeheehee.....Lord Donavin has quite a mouth on him, hasn't he?

BIC: Donavin scowled, and began muttering to himself.
Orvil could only make out parts of what he was saying, and was glad he didn't give a **** what Donavin thought, or he'd have been quite offended.
But soon Orvil was done writing the letter, he heated some wax, and sealed the letter using his seal ring. Then he got up, and walked out. Donavin sat up, then jumped to his feet, and followed, his hangover wasn't too bad anyway.
Arya tested her dagger on her paw, and frowned. Then she went back to sharpening it.
Donavin limped after Orvil, having to lean against the wall quite a bit, all the way shouting insults at him. Orvil felt himself getting angrier, and angrier. But soon he was back outside, and striding towards Voxx.
OOC: Angrier and angrier. ;)
Zuzucath lit a torch, creeping toward the farmhouse on his belly. He reached the front door and barred it with a thick stick. Touching the torch to the well-dried timbers, he watched with glee as the flames spread hungrily and distressed cries were heard from within.
Lady Bryony was marching up the road with some of her men towards Castle Sydd, when she saw smoke rising up in the sky. She quickly looked over her guards. "You ten. Go see hwat that is, and if it's yet another fire, put it out." She said, then turned and started marchuing again. The ten she'd indicated had run off towards the fire.
Grace smelled smoke and spun around she saw Zuzucath in front of the house and it was burning. She grabbed a garden rake and started running over yelling "Hey you! Stop!,"
Zuzucath could easily take down the maid, but he simply dodged past her and ran off cackling; the fire was nearly out of control.
Grace Ran over and flung the door open. She could see the family of voles crowded terrified in a corner. "Come on! Get out!" She ran in and grabbed the little girls paw and ran out. They all got out just as the roof collapsed.
Bryony's men came charging over just in time to see the roof collapse. "Is everyone alright?" One asked, running over, and started to fumble with her first-aid kit while the other nine ran to the river and filling their helmets
OOC: I am assuming there is not a well.
OOC: There is a well but the river would probably be faster any way.
OOC: Okay.
\BIC: The nine soldiers ran back and forth quickly, and the soon the flames were partly doused. The other one was busy bandaged the boy's paw and arm, where we'd gotten burnt. She finished, and seemed to notice Grace for the first time. "Hello, Would you mind helping? I've got an extra helmet." She , kindly. Then she waited for Grace's answer, taking off her helmet.
Grace had run back to the well to get clean water. Not for putting out the fire but for the voles to drink and clean up with. She put it by the soldier and took the helmet. " I saw a weasel, lest I think it was a weasel. He had a torch with him and he ran off when I called out to him," She said

David left the Kitchen a honey bun in one paw and a bottle of wine in another. The sound of a distraught and very annoyed kitchen maid yelling after him.
"Bests can't learn to take a complement... " He said rubbing his nose where she had hit him with the ladle. "Only said she looked as sweet as honey... well and a few other things..."
Jallek had gotten somewhat lost in his pathetic search for the Lonel's castle and finally exclaimed, "This is hogwash!! I can't find this dang castle if it was to save me bloomin life!" He turned around to storm off and see if he could regroup with his smugglers when he bumped into a strange weasel-like beast, knocking them both on their bums. "Oof! You crazy oaf! Watch where your headed!"
OOC: I assume you mean Zuzucath.
BIC: Zuzucath hissed, striking at Jallek with the lit torch and his dagger as he got back on his feet.
OOC: Yes
BIC: "Woah!" exclaimed Jallek as he jumped back from the torch and drew his cutlass. He managed to swat a spark from hitting his hat with his sword and looked at the crazed weasel, "Nobody touches the hat lad."

"A weasel? Quick, which way did he go?" The soldier said, hoping to find him, since he had obviously been the one to set the place on fire.
"That way!" She said pointing towards the forest. She then took the healing kit and began to help the others.
The soldier started running towards the forest as fast as she could, hoping she'd find the weasel. Probably not, but there may be a bit of luck coming her way.
"Yesss, me no touch the hat; fire touch your hat!" He flung the torch at Jallek, then turned and ran off into the forest. Zuzucath was not in the mood to fight at the moment; just then, he only wanted to cause painful mischief.
The soldier had been running for a bit when she noticed a weasel throwing a torch at a mouse's hat. Who ever heard of birds wearing hats like that? She wondewred, rather absently, and then she was near the mouse. "Excuse me sir, are you alright?" She asked, then kept on her way, not waiting for a reply.
OOC: He is not a bird he is a mouse. I think he based the character after Captain Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean.

Bryony marching up ti the gates, and banged on them loudly with the blunt end of her mace, took a step back, and waited.
Jallek watched the soldier bolt off in a burry and started after her saying, "Oi! You happen to need a paw? I'm a mighty fine tracker if I do say so myself."
"Come if you want to!" She shouted, putting on a burst of speed. She noticed the weasel, and called, "Hey! You! Stop!"
The weasel turned, pulling out an axe he had at his belt. "Yess, yess, come to die!"
OOC: It's just a soldier, right? Mind if she just so happens to die?
Jallek drew his cutlass and pointed it at the weasel, "Now you my fellow are creepy. Put the weapon down and I won't harm you."
"Harm, harm? All more for charm. . ." Zuzucath threw a dagger hidden in his ripped-up shirt, running off cackling.
OOC: No, I don't mind if she dies.....Although it would be useful if she carries a report to Bryony.
Orvil had reached the Gatehouse, Donavin now some way behind, but still hobbling quickly. "David! David get your bushy tail over here now!" Orvil shouted.
Adlais was standing nearby, he had seen to Orvil's men, and now wanted to see what happened, when he heard a loud banging on the gates. He ran up the wall steps, and looked over the wall. "Can't you guys just get lost!" He shouted, then spotted some of his mates down in the grounds, and called for them to join him on the walltop.
"Oh, for heaven's sake I want to TALK!" Bryony shouted up at the otter on the battlements, tapping a footpaw. "Open the gates, or I declare war." She called, dead serious.
David finished off the honey bun and said with a dangerous twinkle in his now green eyes "Oi you insultin' me, Cuz it's not working," He fallowed Orvil to the gate house but at his own pace.
OOC: Faiy, Orvil didn't go to the Walltop. He went to the Gatehouse.
OOC: oops... :P
OOC: It can get confusing, huh? Usually you're the one correcting me....... :P
BIC: "Oh, joy." Arya muttered, testing her dagger again. This time, it was sharpened satisfactory. She tucked it back into it's hiding spot, and moved the chair so it was facing the door, and sat down on it.
OOC: What if the soldier does and Jallek brings it back? Just wonderin

BIC: The dagger hit the soldier very close to the heart, and she fell down, almost but not quite dead yet.
OOC: There you go. PP her and work ya magic.
Adlais scowled down at Lady Bryony, then turned, and spotted Donavin. He yelled down to him, and to Orvil. "Hey! Sires! Your needed up here!"
Donavin saw one of his soldiers calling him, he saw Orvil turn, and head off toward the steps. So he hurried after him.
David heard Adlais call but did not follow Orvil. This was obviously not his business. Instead he entered the gatehouse to find Arya seated in a chair across from him.
"Hello, my dear," he said with a wink.
As Donavin and Orvil ascended the walltops, he had called backwards to David, 'Do nothing! I will return shortly,' and climbed the stairs after them.
David had heard Voxx but because he didn't take orders form any one except Orvil he didn't listen.
Orvil reached the top of the stairs first, and when he looked down he swore. Then Donavin turned up, and he swore, a lot more rudely than Orvil, but that was just the case between the two of them.

Orvil, and Donavin looked at each other. Then disappeared behind the walltop, and crouched down. "Honestly, I think we should let her in." Orvil began.
"Hey! This is my castle! I'm not letting her in so she can attack!" Donavin snarled.
"Let me finish! We let her in, and maybe two of her men, and that's it."
"What about the rest?"
"They wait outside."
"Fine, but where do we talk to her? My office is...ur....."
"A dump."
"Something like that."
"Is there anywhere else private we could talk to her?"
"Um........I guess so."
"Where?"
"Come on, there's loads of empty rooms, we can find one."
"Fine."
"Deal?"
"Deal."
They both popped up above the walltop again, "You can come in, with two of your men, and that's it." Donavin shouted down to Lady Bryony.
He closed the gate house door "What should I call you then," He said gesturing in her general direction with The paw holding the wine bottle and drawing up a chair with his free paw.
"Don't call me anything at all." She suggested, then eyed the bottle wqith disgust. "Oh, how nice. You're drunk." She guessed.

Bryony rolled her. "Alright, fine. You., and you. Come with me." She said, picking out two squirrels. They saluted, and she turned back. "Well, I've got two of my men. Open the gates."
"Tell the rest of your men to back off first!" Donavin shouted.
"Do as he says." Bryony commanded, and they obediently backed up ten paces. "Happy now?" She called up.
"No of course not." He said "Haven't touched the stuff yet. Brand new bottle, its a good year too," He got two glasses off a shelf and pored some wine into both of them. " I was thinking we could share,"
Voxx regarded the happenings with a thoughtful look. He rushed down the stairs; if anyone was to enter, they'd not take the prisoner without getting through him. He hoped that the talk would not become violent, but best to be prepared. Standing outside the door, he nocked three arrows to his longbow. He thought in passing that David was nowhere to be seen. He continued to stand guard outside the door.
"Oh, no. I haven't drank wine ever since.....But never mind that. Just get that bottle out of my sight." She growled, wincing at some forgotten memory.
"Fine, suit your self. Its a pity though," He said stowing the bottle in a cabinet and then downing his glass he stood and went to the door, "It is there if you change your mind," he said before leaving to find Voxx guarding the door. He Closed and locked the Gatehouse door behind him. "Good day to you," he said tipping an imaginary hat to Voxx.
Arya rolled her eyes. The last she'd had wine (And had gotten drunk) it had involved some very nasty thinmgs, a few dead bodies, and right about then her leg had started troubling her. Not very happy memories, and she figured that the only reason the outcome had been what it had been was because she'd gotten drunk.
Jallek tree down his cutlass and helped the soldier, "It's too late," she said, "Givey leader the report..." Jallek nodded and scurried off carry the soldier's body for a proper burial.
Donavin, and Orvil exchanged looks, then they both nodded, "Yeah, that's fine! Adlais, open the gate." Donavin yelled.
Adlais, ran down the steps, and opened the gate. Orvil, and Donavin were behind him, and stood to the side of the gate.
Bryony marched in, then raised her eyebrow at Donavin's appearance. "How'd you get knocked on the head? Did one of your soldiers finally get a little sense?" She asked, only slightly teasing.
Donavin was about to swear at her, but Orvil clamped a paw over his mouth. "Lady Bryony, we shall talk to you now. Please follow me." He let go of Donavin, and turned, and walked towards the castle.
Bryony shrugged, and followed them, noting the soldier guarding the gatehouse.
Orvil found a small, but respectable room for them to talk in. He sent a servant to fetch some drinks. Purposely not alcohol, he didn't want Donavin drunk again.
Bryony sat down, with a ramrod straight back. "Alright, I want to know what exactly happened yesterday and why you imprisoned Garvina." She said crisply.
Orvil sighed, and answered, "I'm afraid I'm still trying to get to the bottom of what happened yesterday. I only arrived this morning."
Donavin was chewing on his bottom lip, but then said, "We caught her destroying our dam, so I had her arrested. But then she escaped I guess, a weasel broke in, we dealt with him. She tried to break loose, killed, and injured some of my men. And one of them got her in back. That's really about it."
"Oh, really? Why. Did. You. See. Fit. To. Shoot. Her." Bryony spat out, turning each word upside down.
Donavin help up his paws to stop the flow of words, "Hey, slow down! I didn't tell them to shoot her. I was inside for...Ow!"
Orvil had kicked Donavin in the shin, because he knew he was about to swear.
"WELL, WHY DIDN'T YOU?!?!?" Brypony screamed, getting really upset now. "YOU THINK I NEED THIS WHEN I'M PRE-" She yelled, then abruptly shut up. Her own soldiers didn't even know it yet! Much less the father!

Speaking of the baby's father, he was at the moment realizing he'd been robbed. Again. Caldroc sighed, and then started off again. Didn't matter much., really. Then he noticed Castle Sydd in the distance, and thought maybe he should pay a visit, as he, so to speak, was Switzerland. Whether or not they'd let him in was another story.
Donavin huffed, and Orvil gritted his teeth. "Calm down already!" Donavin rolled his eyes skyward. This was really doing his head in.
Bryonu then decided to just blow her top off. "I'm sorry, but it's just a smidge hard for me to calm down when I', pregnant and you just decided to kill my sister! Okay? Happy now?" She raged at them. "Add to that, my husband's not here, I have no freakin' clue what I'm going to do. Garvina may have been younger than me, but she was the one who did all this military stuff!" She yelled, then slumped back into her chair, having blown her top, and started crying.
Orvil looked shocked, but Donavin just seemed annoyed. Orvil realized Donavin was about to say something mean, and hurtful, and kicked him again. Donavin just swore, and kicked him back, then hissed. "Will you stop that!"
Bryony took her pawkercheif, and blew her nose and wiped her eyes. "I-I-I'm sorry." She hiccuped. It was honestly a tad bit embarrassed, and blushed.
"Are we done here?" Donavin drawled. Orvil gave him an angry look, but Donavin ignored him.
OOC: Where should Jallek go?
Bryony stared at Donavin, her jaw literally dropped. "Is that the way you treat the families of creatures that are killed? Do you not even care that your men killed my sister?" She asked her voice shaking. She was about to burst into tears again, but tried not to.
OOC: Jaleck should go to the town where the house was set on fire and the rest of the guards are.
Jallek scurries through the Forrest carrying the dead body of the soldier and spots the other troops in the distance, he heads to their location and hands them their dead comrade saying, "That weasel thing headed off in that direction. Might wanna hurry."
Donavin was about to say something, but Orvil kicked him again. Donavin jumped up, and shouted at him, "Will you stop that!"
"No, cos your just being rude, and mean for the sake of it!" Orvil retaliated, getting to his feet also, and squaring up to Donavin. They were about the same height.
"So? She's just a Lonel. You've never had any trouble fighting them, or bringing misery to them before. Why the sudden change of heart?"
"I never said I liked them, I'm just saying your being unnecessarily cruel."
"Oh, shoot me! Oh, wait you can't, cus your terrible with a bow."
"Your a drunk, and a useless leader!"
"Your a puffed up ******. Who's all self righteous, and full of ****!"
"You can't even use real words! You always result in swearing, cus your too stupid to do anything else!"
"I'm not stupid! Maybe I'm just telling you what I really think of you!"
"And what's that? What do you think of me? Huh? Come on!"

"Oh, I'm heartbroken!"

"Seriously? Is that all you can say? You say all these things, but never back them up. Your pathetic!"
"Well, that's easy for you to say! You were always the favourite child! I'm just an accident after too much alcohol!"
"So, you make yourself feel better by getting ****** yourself?"
"Who's swearing now?"
"Oh, you are so.....!"
"So, what?"
"Annoying!!"
Lady Bryony watched, aghast, as the two brothers fought. Finally, she stood up, "Oh, would you two stop it!" She yelled at them, coming between them. "You should have your mouths washed out with soap!" She snapped, pausing to draw a breath, then her head swung to stare accusingly at Donavin, "You should be thankful you have a brother, who cares for you. You shouldn't hurl such abuse at him! Or, for that matter, anyone! You're a no good drunkard who doesn't realize what he's got!" Now her head swiveled to Orvil, "You should be a bit kinder to him, and try to set him right. You shouldn't goad him like that!" She snapped, then paused for breath, "You're too self righteous - In that, at least, your brother is right." Then she started berating both of them at once. "You both need to straighten up, lay OFF the swearing, and the drinking, the name-calling, and probably countless others that I don't know about and don't want to! You humiliate yourselves carrying on like this in front of others. Do your men know that you resort to this, squabbling, name-calling, and accusing, to each other? As far as I can see, you're both pathetic in that you don't realize what you have with each other. You need to spend a more time with each other. I know that it would be too much to ask you two to apologize, but I at least hope you take some of this to heart, and don't start fighting with each other the second I step foot outside that gate. Now, I'm leaving. Oh, and I'm not going to declare war. Not only because my dying sister didn't want me to, but also because it would be pathetically easy. Good day." Bryony said, then stormed out the door.
Orvil, taken aback, just stared as Lady Bryony left, but there was still burning hatred in Donavin's eyes. And Orvil knew to wasn't at Lady Bryony, it was at him. Really, they'd just boiled it all down in that last argument. Donavin had been pushed to the back, ignored, not taken much notice of, and it had scared him. But no matter what Orvil did, Donavin wouldn't forgive him, and it was even his fault!
"Donavin, I...." Orvil began, but Donavin just glared at him. Then he turned, and limped out of the room.
Later, Orvil was furious with himself that he didn't go after Donavin, didn't try to talk to him. No, he was stupid enough to go, and follow Lady Bryony out, to make sure she left.
Lady Bryony heard the door slam, and then heard it open again and footsteps follow her. Turning, she saw Orvil. "Let me guess. Donavin took no heed of my speech." She said wearily, then sighed. "Just make sure you at least try to patch it up. He could be taken from you tomorrow, you know. I can find my own way out, thank you." She said kindly, then turned again and walked off slowly.
David had sneaked off and was now watching the lady Bryony being escorted out from the roof top. She did not look to happy but she also looked better than when she had come. Seeing as all three where still alive and none of them where missing any limbs. The meeting must have gone quite well by his book.
Jallek was headed back from where the guards had been searching for that weasel-thing, he still didn't know what it was, when he stumbled out of the forest and into a roadway right in front of Lady Bryony's escort. Almost in a second he threw his paws up, letting all his weapons fall from his sides as well as a few coins, "Please don't arrest me miss! I probably did whatever you think I did but please let me go, Oi know House Lonel folks when I see 'em."
OOC: They are still in the castle... and that is a good bit from the village.
OOC: Ok my bad I didn't know
Orvil didn't say anything. But let her go. Then he suddenly wondered. What had she meant when she said, He could be taken from you tomorrow, you know. Had it been a threat, or a reflection about her sister being snatched away from her?
Lady Bryony was now walking out of the castle with her guards, horribly aware that since she'd been crying, her face was probably puffy. But was alarming to er was that she didn't care.
Orvil sighed, and walked back into the castle. He tried to find Donavin, but no one knew where he was, and Orvil certainly couldn't find him.
Arya decided to do something crazy, walked over to the spot where David had stuck the drink, picked up the bottle, and threw it at the door.
Donavin was up in the tower. It was unused these days, but Donavin kept a good supple of strong drinks up here. He was half way through a bottle now, sitting with his back against the wall, and staring blankly ahead.
David from his place on the roof heard something and quietly crept over to the tower and swung down landing on the windowsill. he took one glance around at took it all in in a moment
"Well look who's here," he said Sitting down on the sill, feet inside. "Didn't well did it?"
Donavin didn't turn round, he simply shrugged, and took another pull at his bottle. "You could say that."
"Ya know that yer problems will just get worse if ya keep drinking that stuff," He said
Donavin sighed, and eyed the bottle. "And what if they do? What does it matter? Orvil has always hated me. I am a useless leader. I'm falling apart completely. So, what does it matter?"
Caldroc was banging on the gates of Castle Sydd, blissfuly unawarer that he'd only just missed his wife.
Adlais, who was hovering around, hear the noise. He went to go see who it was.
He looked over the wall, and huffed. Honestly, these Lonels! They seemed to think that they could just come, and go as they pleased. Thank goodness Donavin had just sent out an order for the boarder to be reinforced, and more heavily guarded. "What do you want Lonel?" Adlais' voice was full of contempt.
"It me, Lord Caldroc!" Caldroc called up, confused. "I've come to chat with Lord Donavin. Is something whereon? I haven't been around for quite some time." He said, clearly confuzzled.
Adlais glared down at him, "Lord Donavin isn't available. He's just spoken to Lady Bryony, and isn't about to talk to more Lonels. Anyway, you might want to get back to you wife. Lady Garvina was killed last night, she'll be taking it hard."
"WHAT THE ***?!?!?!?" Caldroc shouted. "THIS IS EXACTLY WHY I STAY OUT OF THE STUPID FEUD!" He screamed over his shoulder as he took off down the road.
Adlais smirked, and walked off. It made him feel better to see the Lonels upset. But why? Maybe it was because his Father had pounded into him as a child that the Lonels were bad.
Caldroc was now tree-jumping, and soon saw the a small dust cloud where Bryony must be. He sped up, hoping to get to her soon.
"He doesn't hate you. He hates the way you drink and curs all the time and constantly get into trouble but not you. Donavin, He loves you, He's just to proud to show it. Why do you think he always comes and helps clean up your messes?" David said.
Donavin laughed humourlessly. "Loves me? That's a good one! The best day of his life was when I moved out here."
David shook his head realizing that the otter was just to drunk to hear anything that he was trying to say. "Your drunk, you need to put that away," He said pointing to the bottle.
"Forget it!" Donavin growled, taking yet another pull at the bottle.
"Fine have it your way. I'll just go tell Orvil where you have been stashing it all," He said lightly turning back to the window preparing to leave the way he came.
Caldroc had caught up to the travelers, and saw that they were in fact Bryony with a small escort. He jumped down from the tree and ran up to Bryony. "Bryony! Bryony, whats going on?" He asked urgently. Bryony smiled, "Caldroc! You're back again!" She said as she flung herself at her husband, who staggered but remained upright. "Bryony. Is everything alright?" He asked gently as he lifted her face up from where it had been buried at his chest. She shook her head no as her eyes started tearing up. He easily picked her up and set off, commanding the squirrels to follow him.
Donavin leapt up, "Don't you dare!" He shouted at David.
David jumped up onto the sill and said "I promise not to if you put that stuff away and face your problems," He gave him a wink and prepared to jump out the window to roof if Donavin decided not to play along.
Donavin glared hatred at the squirrel, "If you even think about telling him, I'll skin you alive!"
David winked back at him "Don't worry, my lips are sealed, so long as you keep your end of the bargain," He said jumping down from the sill and over to the door.
Donavin was about to swear at the little ****, but then he was gone. Donavin looked around, and snorted. He then picked up as many bottles as he could, and tried to descend the stairs.
David stopped and shook his head. He was hopeless. He poked he head round the corner in front of Donavin and said.
"I said to leave that stuff alone, now put it back!" he realized that he was beginning to sound like his mother. He had really come to this babysitting a drunk otter... He didn't know why he even cared. Then an inkling of gilt scratched at the back of his mind. Yes that was why yet he did not want to admit it even to himself.

Grace ran out of her house a cloak over her shoulders, after she had told the vole family to help themselves with whatever they needed. She was going to town.
"Oh **** off will ya?" Donavin growled, and tried to push past.
David stopped him. " Now you put them back or I'll go right to Orvil and he will make sure that every single bottle will be thrown out the window of your little tower," He said with a tone that meant business. "Now march your drunken little rudder back up those stairs,"
Caldroc had heard the whole story now, and he sat down in front of a fire, thinking it over. They were back at the Lonel castle, and he'd put Bryony to bed. The squirrel had sensed that Bryony was hiding something, but wasn't going to push. Whenever Bryony was ready to tell him whatever her secret was, he'd listen.
Grace walked threw the town market not far from her village. She walked with purpose not looking left nor right. She was not here to buy goods but information. She walked round back of a neglected shop with faded curtains hanging over all the barred windows and the front door locked. She came round to the back door and knocked. There was an indistinguishable command to enter.
She opened the door and came into a dark room lit only by candle light and the light slipping threw the heavy curtains and under the door. On a couch of pillows sat and old crone of stoat. Hegara, the crazy soothsayer. None believed any thing she said and frankly Grace didn't either but one day she had grabbed her arm in the market place and urgently told her that she knew what had happened to her family and that she was the only one that could stop the feud, that it was her destiny. She had ignored her of coarse. Taking her words as the rantings of a crazy old woman. But now she was not so sure. That day in the market she had said "You do not listen, but you will, fire will bring you to my door, you can save us all,"
Donavin was furious, you wanted to floor that little ****. "Why the hell did Orvil have to come ruin my life here as well!?!"
"Now or I'll tell" David said Turning back to head down the stairs.
"Your a little ****!" Donavin seethed, and threw down the bottles. They smashed on the stone steps, and alcohol, and glass went everywhere. "Happy?" Donavin scoffed.
"Yes very," He said with little emotion in his voice to indicate how he felt either way. He then turned and headed down the stars.
Arya was bored out of her mind as she watched the ceiling. Then the door. Then the window. Then the bed.....
Donavin swore under his breath, and followed David.
Arya was now on the bed, staring at the books. Then she got up, and picked up, and opened it. Bleck. Boring. She shut it and lay back on the bed.
Grace left the house of Hegara. Her thought racing. She had told her many thing's. She was not sure what to think about it. She had been told that her parents died in a fire but now she learned that, that was not the case. Hegara told her of one who lived in the Gretheg lands who could tell her what really happened. Now she was unsure whether to follow up on this information or disregard it as the ravings of a mad women.

Davids left the tower threw the door at the bottom and leaned against the stone wall arms crossed. His cheery roguish mood had left him and his eye were glassed over in a grayish blue lost in his own thoughts.
OOC: * whether, told, and were....Sorry. It bugged me.
BIC: Arya sat up and walked to the window, where she saw that squirrel. What was his name? Davey, or something? Ah, David. That was it. She just sighed and picked up a different book, and opened. Now, this one was interesting....She dragged a chair over to the window and sat down, and started to read more.
Donavin caught up with David, and limped past him. "Where's Orvil?" He snarled.
David rolled his eyes. "I don't know I was to busy babysitting you. Unlike some people he does not need to be watched constantly," He said
"Oh give it a break. Donavin sighed, rolling his eyes. Then he limped off toward the castle.
Arya sighed as she skipped ahead several pages in the book, then wrinkled her nose and set it aside. Then she went over to the bed and lay on her back, and started to think. Yet again.
Adlais was marching angrily towards the Gatehouse. He had been ordered to let the prison go. Personally Adlais would have kept her prisoner, and used her as some sort bargaining chip. But Lord Orvil had other ideas.
Adlais unlocked the door, and swung it open. "Come on," He spat, "Your allowed to leave."
Arya sprang off the bed and headed for the door. "Oh, really? I was beginning to think you'd forgotten me." She quipped sassily, reaching the doorway.
Adlais gave her a look that would have killed her if looks could kill.
He walked out of the gatehouse, and opened the Main Gate. "Get going."
Grace returned home. The vole family had found the food and helped them selves to lunch blankets and other necessities. She would have some explaining to do when her uncle got home. The father vole told her while constantly thanking her for her generosity and kindness that they would only stay the night and after that they would go find his brother who lived in town. She nodded and told them that they could stay as long as they needed and that it was not an inconvenience at all. She then went into her room and after finding the boy vole under her bed and shooed him out, She closed the door and began to gather some things together.
"I'd be pleased. You otters really don't know much about being hospitable, do you?" Arya prodded, walking quickly out of the gate. She went over to a tree and started climbing, not really waiting for any response.
David rounded the corner and saw Arya escorted out. He ran up the stairs and saw her tail disappear into the foliage of a tree.

Grace left her room dressed in an off white tunic brown belt and brown pants and she had a satchel slung over her shoulder. She was going to find the one that could tell her what happened to her parents.
Arya stopped at the top of the tree, and sat for a moment, relaxing for the first time in who-knows-when. She knew se probably looked odd, a head popping up from the tree, but she didn't care.
Donavin had not gone to find Orvil. He had actually, gone to another of his drinking dens. This one being in a back room of the cellar.
OOC: Um, guys? Where is everyone?
OOC: I dunno. I don't have much to do...Howe about a small time-skip?
OOC: K lets say that it is almost lunch time now. Arya's had bout enough time to get back to the Lonel's castle.

Grace was on the road that lead to the Grethegs lands. She had been tolled that she would find him there. She had gone to the fields and explained that she was going away for a bit (Not telling him where though) and about the vole family and how they where staying the night. Mrs Vole was going to cook dinner and that she would be back as soon as possible. She was unsure about why all of a sudden she wanted to know but now that she could find out she thought that she ought to. It was her right to know.
Orvil sat eating in Donavin's office. He'd tidied up a little, but the place was still a mess. Orvil was attempting to sort papers, and documents, but it was just a bomb sight. "Donavin would it kill you to put things away." Orvil growled through gritted teeth.
OOC: Ok, where is everybody? Does a time-skip need to happen or something?
OOC Oops.....
BIC Arya was banging on the gate, and tapping a footpaw. Caldroc opened the gate and asked, "Who the heck are you?"
" I'm the hired mercenary who has spent the last day locked in the Gretheg's gatehouse!" The squirrel said, infuriated. Cadroc let her in, and went off back to Bryony.
OOC: I think you meant Gretheg.
BIC: Donavin, very drunk, was wandering around his castle. A bottle gripped firmly in his hand.
He wandered around for a while, drinking from his bottle, and muttering to himself. But then two of his Captains, men who were very close to Donavin, found. They quickly took the bottle off him, and cursing, and shouting, took him to Orvil.
OOC: Oopsx. If you made and sense at all out of that post, congratulationx......Stupid iPad.....
BIC: BRyony waited for Caldroc to come back, and the door opened soon enough. She faced him and said, "Caldroc, I have something to tell you...I'm pregnant." The male squirrel just stared at her, blinking.

BIC: Orvil jumped up when the two Captains came into the office, half dragging, half carrying Donavin. "Donavin where the heck have you been?!?" Orvil rushed over to help, "Thank you Captains, I'll take care of him now."
The Captains saluted, and left.

BIC: Bryony stared at Caldroc. Caldroc stared at Bryony. "You're....What?" He croaked. "I'm pregnant." She repeated, rubbing her stomach.

BIC: "You are impossible!" Orvil sighed, he had been leaning against the wall, but now he slid down it, and was sitting on the floor, his head in his hands.
"Well, what does it matter?" Donavin growled, "You'll be gone soon, and I'll be able to run things m way again."
"Well, if this is how you run things, then its a miracle the Lonels haven't taken this land before now." Orvil groaned.
Caldroc pecked Bryony on the lips, then stood her up. "You should be resting. Now, go! Go, go, go!" He said sternly.
"Oh! Just **** off will ya!" Donavin shouted, jumping to his feet. For a drunk guy he seemed very firm on his feet. "You think your perfect! Well your not! Maybe I'm just sick of your stupid, patronizing lectures!"
"Well, maybe your just sick of being told the truth!" Orvil had got his feet also.
"Truth? What truth Mr. High, and mighty? What truth!?!"
"The truth that you are useless!" Orvil screamed, then immediately regretted it. "I..I...I...I...I didn't mean it Donavin, I.."
"Just save!" Donavin didn't shout, but his measured tone hurt more, "If that's what you really think, then good for you. Maybe after I get killed or something, your future child can rule my lands. I'll make sure I die soon."
"No, Donavin stop talking like that."
"Why? Its what you want. You've always just seen me as a burden." Donavin glared hatred at Orvil, then stormed out of the room limping.

Arya was wandering around the castle, trying to find. Her room again.
OOC: We're the only ones posting again. I do really think a time jump needs to happen. How far do you think we should jump?
OOC: How about....A week, maybe?
OC: That might be good.
OOC: I wonder if Faiy has anything planned, though?
OOC: Yeah. I think we should wait until tomorrow at least.
OOC: Good idea.
OOC: A time jump would not fix the problem. You need to make something happen. I'll get David involved in something. I would advise people to start getting involved with life outside the castle. Part of the problem is also that we lost Scarzs and Rusvul. I would suggest Rachel think about your next strategical move and then put it in to action. David is available remember.
BIC: David listened to the two from the windowsill. After Donavin left he said "Tough luck these past few days,"
OOC: Skarzs is on a roadtrip. That's why we've lost him....How about Rachy PM Rus? Me and him are probably not going to be on the best terms when he sees my latest message.

BIC: Orvil jumped, surprised. But then he was angry, "David! How dare you listen in on a private conversation!"
"Sorry It is kindof hard not to hear the two of you when you are shouting at each other, Sound caries in a castle," He then slipped threw the window and onto the floor. "I know where He keeps a stash of alcohol, Though if you get rid of it he will just hate you even more," He paused and then continued "I could dispose of it for you,"

BIC: Arya had found her room and was now sleeping. . Until there was a knock. "Oh, go away you blather mouthed idiot!" She called. Caldroc, who had left Bryony sleeping, winced, and opened the door. "I'm sorry, but did you just call me a blather mouthed idiot?" He inquired politely. Arya threw her pillow at him.

Grace made her way to a small town and walked along the streets threw a market being passed by creatures that hardly noticed her. there where many otters but there where squirrels and voles and many other creatures as well over all it didn't look much different from the village back home. She had half expected it to look like a military garrison.
Caldroc snorted. "Not likely, considering the fact that this IS my wife's home. Plus, if I'm correct, I'm higher rank than you." Arya was unimpressed. "Yes, but I am a female, and you're in my bed chamber. Get. Out. Or do I have to make you?" She asked, standing up now, her paw going to her hilt. The male squirrel rolled his eyes. "Well, then. We'll talk later. But, I'm going to do a quick run out, and if Lady Bryony wakes up and asks where I am, tell her I'm visiting a friend and will be back shortly. Got that, mercenary?" He asked, Now it was Arya's turn to roll her eyes. "Oh, I'm smart enough to manage that." She replied sarcastically. Caldroc nodded, then left, leaving Arya to her nap. Which was good.
Orvil nodded, "I guess so."
"He doesn't need a family he needs love, A kind lady can often change a man," He said surprising himself. He had little personal experiences in love. Though he had watched many others.
Orvil sighed deeply, "Maybe, I certainly am getting nowhere with him."
"Well Good luck," He said getting up and heading towards the door, "If you don't need me to do anything else I'll be heading out to town," He said
"No, no, its fine." Orvil sighed, staring at the wall.
He nodded in a small bow and then left the room closing the door behind him. Time to head to town perhaps he could play a game or two and earn some cash.
Adlais was on his way to the town. He had said he wanted to go to the tavern, but really he just wanted to buy a new book. Yes, he might stop off in the tavern to start reading it, but all he wanted was the book.
Grace walked down the street looking for a place to eat. she was hungry. She spotted a tavern down the street and entered taking a set at a small table by herself.
Adlais walked out of the bookshop satisfied. He'd gotten the next book in the series he was reading, and it had just come in today. now he just headed for the nearest tavern, so he could begin reading.
Grace ordered some food and drink and began to look around. She was still not quite sure what she was looking for apart form what The old woman has said.

David entered the town and headed towards the closest tavern. He was tired of this feud and the strife that came with it and wanted to just have some fun.
Caldroc walked into the tiown near the Greytheg's castle, and decided that he may as well pay a visit to a friend of his, a tavern owner. So, he walked over and strode in.
OOC: The tavern they are at is near the Grethegs castle in the Grethegs lands.

BIC The otter who owned the tavern looked up and saw the squirrel, and grinned. "Lord Caldroc! It's been a while, ej?" He said loudly. ,Caldroc wished he'd kept Caldroc's title to himself.
Agrathor walked in to the crowded tavern. As he was sitting down he said to the tavern keeper "Do you have any rooms available." The keeper said "Yes as a matter of fact we do,would you like a drink?" "perfect, I'll have a wood ale please. How much for the room?"Said agrathor "ok I'll get right to it,$20 for the room."the keeper said

BIC Caldroc was now sitting at a table, inwardly cringing at looks he was getting. Some glares, some of amazement, looks of confusement.....The list went on!
OOC: That's ok I didn't really accept it yet but it Ok. (IF you didn't get that your character is now accepted) Also the currency would just be coins. No paper money. I would prefer if you didn't mentioned anything that is used in real life.
BIC: Grace saw the Lord Caldroc and watched him curiously. She had only see him once before and that was years ago but that was what they said his name was. Just then a dark furred squirrel strode confidently in and ordered a drink then after that he pulled a deck of cards and asked in a loud yet good nattered voice if any one would want to play a game.
Caldroc wrinkled his nose at the offer of cards, but thought. Maybe.....Oh, why not? But, Bryony would worry if he was away too long. Well, oh well. "Sure, I'll play." He said, standing up. The owner started to tell him that it wouldn't be wise to play cads with the squirrel, and Caldroc looked at him. "I think I can decide for myself with whom I van place cards with." He said crisply, rolling his eyes.
David grinned he had partially recognized the squirrel as the lord Cladroc but did not let it show. "Good for you friend. Any one else?" He said with cheerful confidence. Three others stood and he took his drink and sat himself down at an empty table and dealt the cards. He proceeded to explain the rules and then the game began.

Caldroc watched the tavern owner's expressions change as he listened to the rules, and chuckled to himself. He noticed a pretty young squirrel watching the one who wanted to play cards.
Adlais looked up momentarily from his book, a card game had started, and it seemed Lord whatshisface was playing too.
OOC: Um..................guys?
"So what is a Lonel like your self doing in this part of the world," David asked laying down his bet.
"I was thi n king about visitin g Donavin. You know, friendly idle hit chat. As may may have guessed, I try to mysel v apart from the feud.' The squirrel said, studying h I s hand.
"I would warn you, Donavin is in no condition nor mood to converse in idle chit chat after what just happened. In fact he would be more likely to throw you out on you back side than talk to you, I'm sure he would too if Orvil wasn't 'round to stop him. Though considering the circumstances I don't half blame 'im" David said discarding one of his cards.
Caldroc rolled his eyes. "Why does everyone seem to like keep having a fund with one another? I don't get it. It's stup I ." H said, discarding.
"It's not for me to ask just for me to take advantage of," He said Taking up another card.
''Humph.'' Caldroc said, looking at his cards., planning.
they went round the table twice more and then David laid down his cards. "and the hand is mine,"
OOC: I am going to do another time jump to after the game if you guys don't have anything else planed. David is going to win of course. ;)
BIC: David stood and collected his winnings and then began to clean up the cards "Thank you lads,"

Grace still sat at the corner table. She had stat there watching him threw her entire meal plus three large mugs of cider. if he was the one then he would be able to tell her what had happened all those years ago.
"You're welcome. It was nice to play people who actually know how." Caldroc
Said, standing up and shaking everyone's paws. As he we n t to shake David's, he whispered, "You've got a little admirer." Then he laughed quietly, and walked out of the tavern.
Adlais had quickly lost track of time, and had read about fifteen longs chapters of his book. But considering the book was at least one hundred, and six chapters long, it didn't bother him much. But, he did notice that the squirrelmaid at the corner table was still there, and staring at David.
David was in fact a bit surprised and glanced around discreetly when he saw the squirrel maid his face did not change but his eyes turned a distinct shade of gray green blue like a stormy sea. He turned and left the tavern and was soon fallowed by the young squirrel. He had gone two blocks and she still fallowed him before he turned a corner between two shops.

As soon as the other squirrel left Grace got up and fallowed him out. She had to talk to him. She had gone a good two blocks and he did not seem to have noticed her when he rounded a corner and diapered. She quickened her pace but when she rounded the corner he was nowhere to be seen. Suddenly she was flung into the wall face to face with him his eyes sparkling angry twin emerald stars searching her face for an answer to some unknown Question. "Why are you fallowing me? Who is paying you!" He asked angrily.
"What? No one!" She said startled and a good bit frightened yet she did not let it show. What had she gotten herself into.
His started and he seemed to have found what he was looking for because his face softened and his eyes to her surprise turned a light gray blue. Then he let go and turned away without saying anything.
"Wait I was told you could give me some answers," She said.
"Sorry you have the wrong person," David said.
"That is what they always say just hear me out please," She begged but he just kept walking.
Adlais watched as the two squirrels departed. He then got up himself, paid for the drinks he'd had, then left, and set off back for the castle.
OOC: Guys, I just had a idea that could maybe united the two families. What if a completely separate kingdom, or whatever comes, and tries to take over both the Lonel's, and Gretheg's lands. That would give them a common enemy, and they'd maybe after sorting their differences join together to defeat whoever the attacker was.
OOC That's a nice idea!
OOC: It might work. However we would need people to play all the new characters and in that we are lacking. Perhaps that can be in another chapter.
BIC:
David did not look back. He did not want to have anything to do with the squirrel maid and least of all did he want to answer her questions. He turned another corner and entered the back door of a house belonging to a good friend of his... well maybe not that good. His friend was not home however and David proceeded to stoke the fire and ignore her. Grace fallowed him in and said "I'm sorry for the pore introduction, My name is Grace and I was told that you could tell me what really happened to my parents," Davids eyes turned even bluer and he felt a gilt and pain more powerful then he had felt in years. He was afraid that he was going to cry of yell at her in a rage but instead he turned and looked at her and the light from the fireplace haloed his head from behind and his eyes sown like two pools of water. "Leave me be you have the wrong man," He said softly and slowly.

Grace started the riddle was slowly coming true first the twin emeralds in a sky before dawn and now the two pools of water that flow from the sun. There was no mistaking it he was the one she was looking for no matter what he said. She looked strait back at him and said in a calm matter of fact voice "You are lying,"

OOC: In a town in the Gretheg lands I would say halfway between Donavins castle and the border. David and Grace are in a house and Caldroc and Rachel's other character who I can't remember the name of is still at the tavern I believe which is not to far from the house.
OOC: >:D Okay; this is going to start a bit of a man-hunt, so to speak.
BIC: Zuzucath might be insane, but his cunning was still with him. He held in one paw a bow and arrow he had taken from an unfortunate squirrel, and in the other a lit torch. The tip of the arrow was covered in a rag soaked in vegetable oil. Lighting the shaft, the weasel giggled. "Wakey wakey, burn all crispy!" He shot off the arrow, and immediately ran off toward the Lonel lands as it hit a house.
"They'll think it's the squirrels, yesss, and make them dead! Must hurry, yesss. . ." Zuzucath cackled.
David Looked back at Grace inquisitively. "And on what grounds do you place this claim?" He asked.
"These," She said taking out a piece of parchment and putting it on the table in front of him. he got up and glanced at the paper.

David suddenly became alert and rushed to the door the smell of smoke reaching his finely tuned senses.
Zuzucath continued running, laughing insanely at his plan for death and destruction on both sides of the families.

David followed is nose hardly even stopping to call back to Grace. "Get out here there's a fire," He ran round the building and caught sight of a smoldering roof across the street and broke into a sprint as Grace rounded the corner. He barged threw the door without knocking and was met by a shocked Mousewife in and apron with a broom.
"Sorry mam, my apologys, no time to explain, your roof is on fire!" He said Grabbing her by the wrist and helping her out.
"wait but my twins! there up stairs," She said

Grace heard this just as she came running up and without stopping she darted into the house and up the stairs. "Come back!" She heard David call to her but she didn't stop she came to a hall and in a trice she found the babes bed room and grabbed the two from the crib just as David barged in himself. He seemed almost relived. "Get out of here he said and then turned and jumped out the window climbing to the roof. Grace ran back down the stairs and handed the two to there mother who thanked her but she was was not paying attention she was looking up at the roof and David.

BIC: Zuzucath stopped a moment to make sure his torch was still lit. Looking back, he could hear the faint cries of the creatures in the town and the dancing lights of the flames. Cackling, he whispered to himself. "Nearly there, yesss. . ."
He breathed in sharply as a voice came calling to him. "Hello? You, with the torch!" He hid behind a tree as a mouse came near. "Hello?" The weasel set the torch in a tree branch, and snuck off behind the curious mouse. Bouncing up, Zuzucath held him in a headlock, choking him. "Sshh, I'm just a squirrel, yesss." He hit the mouse on the back of the head, retrieving his torch and scurrying off toward the Lonel castle.
The mouse had now recovered, and ran toward the town to warn the Grethegs of a supposed Lonel attack.

OOC: They where back at the castle we left them after a big argument in Donavins chambers I think after which David dropped in to chat with Orvil. Dose that ring a bell?

BIC: Donavin stormed out into the grounds of his castle. He'd grabbed one of his bows, and a quiver of arrows on his way out.
He fired arrow, after arrow, after arrow at the trees, furious, but also hurt.
David took one look at the roof and knew there was no point the next house had already caught fire and he had no water. He wished now that he had kept something more convenient in his pouches. as of now there was nothing useful. In fact he realized that the continence of the pouches where extremely flammable. if they caught fire he would go up in one big exploitation. He swiftly undid the buckle and tossed the and the pouches over the side of the roof before jumping himself and landing in a pile of hey in a roll extinguishing sparks that had caught to his cloths. He jumped to his feet. "Sound the alarm, we need water, get a line going!" Where was a good teem of climbing squirrels when you need them!
Caldroc was walking around, when he smelled smoke, and saw it an inmstant later. Getting over there was a bit difficul;t, as he couldn't very well go by the rooftops.
The mouse who had been attacked by Zuzucath came running into the town. "It's the Lonels! They started this, and one of them attacked me!"
OOC: Feel free to PP him, anyone.

BIC: Zuzucath could by now see the top of the Lonel tower, and ran even faster toward his destination. He unstrapped a javelin from his back, the kind usually used by otters, and held it in his other paw.
Grace turned on The mouse "Your Lying! The Lonel's would never do something like this!" Her out burst of course caused every one to look ate her. "Really I wouldn't put it past em, the low ling scum, in fact Garvina deserved what she got," He spat making his opinions clear. This made Grace furious and before the mouse knew what had happened he was on the ground with a bloody nose. She was about to go at him again when David restrained her "Now's not the time, We have bigger fish to fry," He hissed.
Zuzucath stopped, and hurled the javelin so it clattered on the wall tops directly in front of a guard. Sticking the torch in the ground, he lit and fired several flaming arrows into the confines of the wall.
Caldroc then arrived, and stepped forward. "What the **** is going on here?" He demanded, stepping into the light.
Adlais had been almost back at the castle. But then he saw a small group of otters coming out of the castle. "What's up?" Adlais called to them.
"Some smoke has been sighted. We've been sent to check it out. It looks like its coming from the town!" Was the reply.
"Can I join you?" Adlais asked.
"Sure."
"Well?!" Caldroc demanded as no answer was given. Then, next thing he knew, a rock hit him on the head. "OW! What was that for?" He asked, rubbing the spot. "You're a Lonel Lord!" The teenage otter cried, the one who threw the rock. "Well, yes. But what has that got to do with anything?" He asked puzzled, then snagging a rock that was abut to hit his face. "Tut tut."
The otter soldiers came running up to the scene, "What's going on!?!" The leader roared.
"It was him!" A little otter shouted, pointing at Caldroc. "It was that Lonel!"
Then everybody began shouting, and blaming Caldroc.
"What?" Caldroc asked, asked, confused. "Hey, hey, hey! EVERYBODY CALM TGHE HELL DOWN!" He screeched, and, amazingly, a lot of them shut up.
David took this opportunity to speak. "It really doesn't matter right now who set the fire the important thing is that there is one, and what are you all doing! Standing around and throwing the blame! Blame is not going to save your homes! Now if his lord ship will kindly assist to put out the blaze be for it engulfs the entire town It would be much appreciated. That goes for the rest of you too! Now get moving we need water lines and will some one sound the alarm already!" Every one hung on David's words and when he shouted at them for action there was a sudden serge of energy and every one began actually doing something to put out the fire. Which was a step in the right direction but there was still a lack of order and still no one went to sound the alarm and every one went to the well at once.
Caldroc sighed, approached David, and murmured, "The name is Caldroc. No fancy titles. Got it?" Then, without waiting for a reply, went to sound the alarm. A few minutes later it was clanging quite loudly.
OOC: EDIT: I just realized that this makes no sense. So I'm going to re-write it. And I'm assuming the alarm is a bell.
Zuzucath watched flames begin to roar in the Lonel castle, and he stopped firing his flaming arrows in favor of watching the spectacle in glee. Shouts could be heard now from within as the squirrels tried to put out the fires.
By this time David had gotten a line going but really they had already wasted to much time. Grace was one of the most active in putting it out and she seemed to be everywhere at once. David watched her with cold blue eyes of worry and perhaps guilt.
OOC: *Guilt.
BIC: Bryony woke up, hot. Wait. Hot? She opened her eyes and screamed - There was lots of smoke, and she could see strange light under her door. "FIRE!" She screamed at the top of her lungs, and then raced over to the windopw, opened it, and gulped in fresh air. Then she turned back to the bed and started to strip it.
OOC: I notice nobody is doing anything at the Lonels. :P
EDIT: Never mind.
Well there can still be a fire there... Lets say that one is put out rather quickly though and dealt with.
OOC: Corn seems to be taking care of it.
OOC: Yup, I'm taking care of it. OOC:S. . . . .
BIC: After Lady Bryony was done stripping the bed, she tied the sheets and such together and got out of her window that way. When she got down, she ran around to the well screaming 'FIRE!" At the top of her lungs, waking everybody up, and soon had a bucket line going.
Adlais soon found himself in the bucket line helping. But the fire looked almost out of control.

BIC: Zuzucath danced in glee as he saw the fires grow and the squirrels attempt to douse them. He would have to find a way to make them think it was the otters who started it. . .
Things where beginning to seem hopeless The fire was out of control and all there efforts to put it out where making very little difference. It felt like trying to fill a sieve with sand. It all felt pointless and for once in his life David didn't have a plan. The sweat stuck to his cloths and back as the heat grew around him. Flames devouring the houses and shops. The alarm bell still ringing in the background.
Even though David had given up hope Grace had not. In fact she was one of the most active defenders. She seemed to be everywhere at once.
OOC: I will let Scarzs post his bit and then I will do a bit of a time jump seeing that all they will be doing for a good bit is fighting fires.
An idea sparked in Zuzucath's crazed mind, one that might work. As quickly as he could, the weasel scraped a large word in the ground in front of the Lonel castle, big enough to be read from the walls: Gretheg. He ran off cackling, talking insanely to himself. "Blood, more blood! Fire, yesss, burn, all squirrels and otters burn and die! Yesss. . ."
Adlais was growing tired, the fire was simply out of control. More soldiers from the Castle had come down, and were helping, but it seemed to be making little difference. Suddenly, there was a cracking sound, and the entire roof of one of the flaming buildings caved in.
A mouse ran by Caldroc, who was still ringing the bell. The squirrel told him to keep ringing it, and dashed off, towards the fire. Upon getting there, he cursed under his breath, seeing the roof cave in. He grabbed a bucket (Someone had the sense of mind to hand out things to scoop water up in) and joined in the bucket, line, calling encouragement. It worked a little bit, and they started working a little faster.
OOC: Ok so there will be a time jump of a few houres... Now it is night almost morning probably around 4 or 5 o'clock in the morning.
BIC:
David had gathered a score of able bodied creatures to help get all the old the ill and the very young out of the danger zone. By the time he got back the sun had set and the fire had spread and his hopeless feeling along with it. He rejoined the defenders fighting the fire with Grace along side him, she had a never ending energy. Every time he looked her way she was fighting with the same energy that she had been since the beginning. The fire licked at the houses and the people fought to keep it localized. Yet still it spread till half the town was in flames. As the fire blase around him the flames lapped at his memory turning his feeling of hopelessness to guilt.
David tuned around to get more water when he saw Grace passing under a flaming beam "Look out!" He shouted darting toward her. As she turned to look in the direction of the shout David knocked her out of the way just as the beam fell. They landed on top of each other in the ally both of them unharmed but way back was blocked. HE jumped up and almost harshly pulled Grace to her feet. "What where you thinking?" He said hardly making eye contact.
Caldroc was now rounding up more buckets, pots, pan, shovels, anything. Even a few able-bodied beasts.
Adlais found himself running around madly, trying to put the fire out. Then as he came quite close to one flaming building, there was a strange sound. Then, without warning, there was a huge explosion. Adlais was thrown backwards, along with three others. He hit a brick wall, and slid to the floor, where he lay for a few minutes, his head swimming.
" I wasn't thinking anything," Grace retorted sharply as David dragged her along behind him griping her arm tightly, Grace rushing to keep up. "You can let go now I'm fine!" She said but he did not respond but only walked faster. It was then that grace noticed that they where not heading back to help with the fire. They kept going getting farther and farther away. "Hey what are you doing we have to go back!" She yelled struggling to pull free from his grip. He turned on her and griped tighter "You can't go back there, its not safe," His eyes a vivid green the flames reflecting in them like mirrors. "Let go! YOU LET GO!" She yelled she started to thrash and struggle, attempting to kick him in the shin. Each time missing. Then suddenly she hardly knew what had happened everything went black.

David lowered her gently to the ground. He had not wanted to do it but it was the only way. "Sorry old girl," He whispered and then taking her limp form up in his arms he started off towards the castle 'Fire in his wake'.
Caldroc was rushing here, there, everywhere, his brain going on high speed. Thrre was too much to do, with too little time, with not enough beasts to do it. Then he had an idea, and grabbed a mouse, and told him what to do. The mouse nodded and started running.
Donavin was doing sword practice. Mainly because hacking, and beating up wooden dumbs would stop him doing the same to Orvil. As he practiced, he noticed smoke rising from the town, he'd heard the bell, but hadn't thought much of it. He'd thought it was probably only a small fire, but if the smoke was that black, and there was that much of it, it meant the fire was worse than he had originally thought.
David had reached the castle still carrying Grace and entering threw the front gate he made his way inside and to vacant guest room. He placed Grace on the bed and locked the door on his way out. he told himself this was to keep her from wandering around the castle and getting into a scrape. The residence would probably not like having a Lonel wandering around the castle. He then went to find Orvil.
Orvil was in the office, trying to sort it out somewhat.
OOC: *is annoyed, but can't think of more to say*
David soon found him self in front of The office door and gave it a strong knock.
"Come in." Orvil yelled, his voice sounding almost desperate.
David entered and realized just what a mess he must look at the moment. He was sweaty and smoke stained his fur in a tangle but it was to late now. "It's hopeless," He said "The towns lost, The wind picked up and just blew the sparks from rooftop to rooftop,"
Orvil looked at David horrified, he was about to speak, when suddenly there was a clap of thunder. Orvil turned round, and looked out of the window. Dark clouds were grouping as far as the eye could see, "Maybe not. If we get a real down pour." Orvil whispered, more to himself than to David.
David let out a deep breath, one that he did not know he had been holding "Thank the seasons," He said not really to any one in particular. Then To Orvil he said "One of the towns mice says that it was The Lonels but personally I don't think they are capable of that sort of thing,"
"I don't know." Orvil said shaking his head as the first rain drops began falling. "Lady Bryony did just lose her sister. She may have been out for revenge."
"You must remember that I worked for them for two years, I know how they think. Plus they're girls, its all talk and no action with them... 'cept Grivena she was different, but her sister. Sure she is emotional but not that emotional. Plus if she was out for revenge wouldn't she go after you and not after some random village. It just seems to spontaneous to me." He said.
"Maybe she set it up like that. Or it could be one of Garvina's captains or someone like that out for revenge."
"I'm not saying it wasn't them, just saying to keep an open mind on this one. Somethings off that's all. We are all stressed and we can try and see what we want to see. That includes me." He said
Bryony had gotten her own fires semi under control, but was being made to sit down by Arya. The squirrel did, but unwillingly.
"Ok, ok." Orvil sighed, sitting heavily in a chair. "I guess I'm just stressed about, well.....you know what."
"Aye, I don't blame you. Well I'll leave you be," He said turning and leaving the office. He needed to get back to Grace before she woke up.

Grace sat up and looked around, She had no clue how she had gotten here or where here was. She ran a paw threw her head fur before jumping off the bed and going over to the door only to find that it was locked. She then rushed over to the window and took a look out. From here she could see a piece of the castle grounds and otters below going about various chores. She realized she must be in one of the Gretheg castles. How she had gotten there however she had no clue.
A mouise ran, panting over to Arya. "M-miss, I was sent to talk to the Lady Bryony, by the Lord Caldroc." He panted, Arya merely pointed at Bryony, being busy, and the mouse went over. "P-Please, Lady Bryony, Lord Caldroc sent me to talk to you." He paused, waiting for her response. "Well? Talk!" She ordered. "A Gretheg town is burning the fire's out of control. Lord Caldroc asked if you could spare anybody, anybody at all!" HJe pleaded. Bryony stared at him. "Why would I want to do that? Sure, my husband's there, but he can take care of himself. Why would I want to help the Grethegs when they just killed my sister?" She asked, with a dead pan look.
OOC: I just want you to think that over. They are the enimy are you sure Bryony is the kind of person to
A) give up valuable people to go do a job for her enemy when they are invaluably needed at the moment.
B) Would she do these things for the enemy that just the other day killed her sister.
OOC: Zuzucath has done his task for a bit; I'm not sure what to do with him now. :P
OOC: I would use the time to develop the character a little. sure a complete emotionless maniac killer is fun for a time but it can get boring. I would try and develop some sort of personal conflict in his own head or try and start to enplane why he is like this now using flashbacks dreams or narrative references.
OOC: Sorry, Faiy. Is that better? I guess I didn't think that through as well as I could have.
Orvil nodded, "Ok, thanks."

Donavin had travelled to the town. Although he was limping a bit, his leg was feeling much better. He was horrified to see one of his towns in such a state. But the rain was falling harder, and faster. Though beasts were still working hard to put the fires out. Donavin began to help also, but no one recognised. They were all too busy.
OOC: No problem.
BIC:
David returned to Graces room to find her trying to climb out the window, Which was not bard. "Hey wait!" He said running over and pulling her back threw the window.
"What did you do? let go of me!" She said as soon as she was back in the room.
"Sorry about that, there was not other option," He said with a small bow.
"NO OPTION!" She said nearly blowing up in his face. "NO OPTION, THERE IS ALWAYS AN OPTION!"
"Wow calm down Missy,"
"Don't tell me to calm down! you kidnapped me and then locked me up!"
"I saved you life and then gave you, a Lonel, a free pass in a Gretheg castle, the lock was to prevent you pretty self from wandering into a fight without me," He said. Grace did not answer but crossed her arms and looked discontentedly at him "Now you are free to move around so long as I accompany you. His lordship does not know you are here yet, however if you stay with me you should be fine."
Grace gave him a stare and then after a relentless moment she relaxed and said "Fine," and walked out the door without giving him another look. David looked to the sky for help and the followed after her.
Donavin, and the rest of the creatures there, began cheering as the rain got even heavier. The fire was being put out, and the rain just kept on coming.
"No, no no!" Zuzucath screeched, dancing in rage as he began getting soaked with rain. His plans were going so well, but the squirrels either hadn't noticed the name he had scratched into the dirt for them to see, or they didn't believe it was really the Grethegs who started the fire.
"They burn, they must! No, no, bad rain!" He shook his fist at the meddling clouds. "You make them not die, curses! Zuzucath make them die! Yesss. . ."
Some small part of his mind tried telling the crazed weasel that he couldn't kill them all. And Zuzucath hated that. "All dead, all make dead!" he giggled, hitting his head as if to banish the rational thought. "Sticks and tricks, we fool them! Make them kill each other, yesss. . ."
The weasel didn't used to be like this, and it was through no one creature's fault that he was the insane beast he was now. Sometimes he would remember being normal, like when he went fishing or played with his siblings in the tree fort they had built. One thing he did remember was when he and his brother had climbed a tree, and his brother lost balance, accidentally hitting Zuzucath off the tree. All he remembered now was his brother hitting him, and him falling down, down, down to hit his head on a rock. The glancing blow didn't kill him, but it changed Zuzucath so drastically that it destroyed the life of the entire family, including himself. He began talking to himself, staring blankly at nothing, or at something, like one unfortunate frog, a little too intensely. Soon, there was no frog; not long after, there was no family. Only Zuzucath.
But then, Zuzucath wasn't really his name, was it? No, he had a real name, one that his parents had given him, and not his irrational mind.
Zuzucath struck his head again. "No! There is only Zuzucath! And all die by Zuzucath!"
OOC: LOVE IT. You are brilliant! Really are. Hugs Zuzucath!

As soon as they where out the door Grace turned on David "Why won't you tell me what you know! Why did you bring me here!" She said.
"I couldn't right as well let you go running into that fire. Would be suicide. Now please come with me I am sure you are hungry," He said and with a cautious bow he started down the hall towards the kitchen. Grace sighed but did not argue and followed him down to the kitchen.
OOC What should I be doing?
OOC: Well you do have a fire and the fact that the word Gretheg was written in big words in front of the gate. Though that is probably all washed away by now. Manly what is her emotional response regarding past events.
After more of the mouse's pleading, Bryony snapped. "Sir." She interrupted coldly. "The rain is pouring down - Do you really think that they need help now?" She said scathingly. The mouse stammered an apology and took off. She slumped in her chair and sighed, her emotions in a turmoil.
Donavin, seeing that the fire was now out, was about to tell his soldiers to return to the Castle when he saw all the villagers. Many of them had lost their homes, and they now had nowhere to go.
Donavin called over one of his Captains, and told him to take all the now homeless villagers to the Castle. "They can stay with us until something can be done about their homes."
The Captain nodded, and began to do so.
Zuzuath crouched miserably under the dripping leaves of a tree; his plans had been ruined, and it would take him a while to figure out another plot to start more death. Perhaps. . . "Yesss. . ." he hissed, standing up. "Zuzucath make more die!" He ran off to put his new plan into effect.
OOC: I really don't know what to do.
OOC: Just wait for me; I'll give you something to do.
(Try Coldorac (Spelling)... he is still at the village with Donavin.)
Lord Caldroc walked over to Lord Donavin. "Excuse me, but is there anything more I can do? " He asked.
Donavin jumped round, surprised to see the squirrel lord. "What are you doing here?" he demanded.
"I was going to see you. But then that happened, so I helped." Caldroc said, unsurprised. . . But slightly annoyed all the same.
Donavin eyed him suspiciously, "Why were you coming to see me?"
"Sorry, is it against the law to come and see friends and chat?" Caldroc asked, rolling his eyes. "You know I keep myself apart from the feuding. It only gets people hurt." He added, with a sigh.
"But your still Lady Bryony's husband, and I am not your friend." Donavin growled. And with that turned, and headed off back towards the Castle.
Caldroc sighed, and shook his head. "As rude as ever." He muttered.
Zuzucath was in the middle of making a few javelins the kind the otters usually used; he would make the Lonels and the Grethegs fight no matter what.
It was strange how cunning the weasel could be despite his insanity; perhaps it was the fact his mind was crazed that gave him cleverness, or perhaps he was always this smart. He couldn't remember, and frankly, to him, it didn't matter as long as what he did worked, no matter the cost.
OOC: *Bump* Hello?

OOC: I don't really know what to do. Maybe we should start another chapter or something. I don't know.
OOC: Yeah, cuz I don't know what to do.
