Heres a poem that I wrote about Salamandastron. I wrote it from a viewpoint of the book The Outcast of Redwall (I have several references to some of the happenings of that book).

The badger of the golden stripe, traveling through the snow,
Is going to the mountain were the great badgers go.

Trundling through Mossflower on the path up ahead,
Past the beloved abbey built in stones of Red.

Through the great plains were the tall grass grows,
Walking past all these, The Badger-and-Bird tro.

Past the great hoard, ruled by the Ferret of six claws,
Hear the comman order, "Every beast, on your paws".

Beyond the great hill, so wide and so high,
Its inhabitants are bats, which circle the sky.

Through the russet forest, were the Pine trees do grow,
Past the muddy swamp of which very few creatures know.

But beyond all these, to stand so tall,
Stands the great mountain Salamandastron, the greatest of all.

This great mountain, a home to badgers and hares.
Beware all vermin, or you will fall to there snares!

Through the mountains many passages, were many fates have been told,
Inside the badger's grave, filled with treasher and gold.

Salamandastron, this is the place were I will go,
For I am Sunflash the Mace, and for good reasons that I know.

Here, at this Mountain is were I will stay,
I will live there for the rest of my days

If you've got any poems about Redwall and other charactores and places in the series, feel free to post them here ;).

Life is too short to rush through it.
