I picture the north very much like the Scottish Highlands- brutally beautiful.  High mountains, deep valleys and black watered lochs.
BJ refers to the north as a harsh land of ice and snow, I thought.
Yep, that's true. But that dosn't mean that all of it was like that. Some of it could have been "brutally beautiful" as Free Thought put it.

That's true. I think that it would be more like Greenland though because if Mossflower is supposed to be like England, Scotland is right next to it and it's climate wouldn't be to much different.
True. Though, allot of things are left to the readers imagination in the Redwall books.

(..do I think about these things too much?  ;D )
Maybe ;D

Life is too short to rush through it.

I always liked to vaguely think of it as Wales. Probably not very accurate.

Okay, definitely not accurate in any way whatsoever. I'm going to have to rethink how I see my mental map of the Redwall universe now. Hmm, perhaps Greenland is a better substitute? I'm going to go with Greenland.

You can never think about these things too much! ;D
Redwall is always open, its tables laden, to you and any of good heart.
