So what's your go to song? If you were just put on the spot and had to sing something, what would you sing?
My go to song is, Ring of bright water. Its always the one I sing first.
I like this thread idea and spent some time thinking of my song. Probably
Prism of Life by Enigma.
Lyrics
I am hunted by the future
Will the future be my past?
Or is time a fade out picture
Of my everlasting cast?
Love is phasing
Love is moving
To the rhythm of your sight
I get closer
To the crossing point of light
Let us try to live our lost illusions
They're the sun at night
If we don't we'll never taste
The spice of life
And when it seems that we're in a dead end street
There's no reason to cry
Cause we have a helping hand who's always aside
Forever light
Cool and thanks.
What are the lyrics for your song, and why did you choose it?
Teenagers by My Chemical Romance.

What are the lyrics for your song, and why did you choose it?
Here's the some of it.
Where sun and wind play
On a ring of bright water
That's where my heart land will be
The deer on the hill
In the first snow of winter
The gull in the sky winging free
I wandered away
From the dark crowded city
Leaving my old life behind
And came to a place
Where a ring of bright water
Dazzled the cares from my mind
So I live with the wonder
Of the sky and the sea
And I'll always remember
Who revealed them
To me I don't know why it's my go to song. I know it very well and it's really nice. Its not too hard to sing and I just love imagining what it's about.
Explanations are cool. I'll post one myself.
Prism of Life is one of my favorite songs. It's beautiful and the lyrics are cryptic and leave room for interpretation. I'm still working out my own perspective of them, but I feel like the last lines especially could relate.
I might check it out some time.
I quite like Blumenkranz.
@Sky. I checked it out and it's quite interesting. I liked it but it's not really my cup of tea. :P
To sing? Hmm, I'm a terrible singer. This will require much thought. But I'm leaning towards Its Time by Imagine Dragons, simply because I know it well.
^^^ I really like that one!
"God Blessed The Broken Road" by Rascal Flatts.
Not sure why, since there's songs I sing better. (Not that I'm a great singer in the first place.)
I know that one. I first heard it on a Once Upon a Time fan video.
Now that I think about it, I'm probably more likely to sing Moment of Peace by Gregorian.
The only song I know by heart is 'On the Road Again' by Willie Nelson, so. . . . . .
Can't wait to get back on the road again...
Welcome to the Black Parade by My Chemical Romance.
Haven't heard that one. Might check it out.

YES. (Mine would be that, but I don't know all the lyrics. Or if I do, I don't know them in the right order. Therefore I go to Teenagers.)
Fire, Fire by Steam Powered Giraffe. It's strange but pretty cool.

I understand not knowing them in the right order. I listen to it and sing along enough, though, that I think I could do it. Teenagers is a good song too.
I'm gonna go check it out now. I am intrigued.
Actually, I'm not sure if I could sing either Moment of Peace (Gregorian and Sarah Brightman) or Flying Free (Jenna Lynn) on the spot.
'The Dear Green Place' or other songs by The Battlefield Band
Edit: On The Road Again is good
Edit: Also Simon and Garfield are AMAZING
Toes by Glass Animals. More commonly known as 'That song from the start of Taken 3.' Catchy! 8)
Sorry by Justin Beiber (i hate that I never know for sure if that's spelled right )
or Hello by Adele

The Battlefield Band is good. ;D
Isn't it, Simon and Garfunkel?
Well, now that I've got it stuck in my head, the Modern Manor General's song. Now I feel like I should memorize the whole thing... Just in case it ever comes up in conversation.
I would sing OREO Wonderfilled
Does it HAVE to be something we completely memorized? I would get really nervous with forgetting the lyrics :P
Anyway, I would sing Thistle and Weeds by Mumford and Sons :)
Let's see here...there are several nice ones.
I don't think I would have one. I would have several that are used for different occasions.
If I had a piano available at the same place I Would do 'When I was your man' By Thomas Rhett or Bruno Mars.

OI!! OWL CITY!!!!!

Letsee, I don't know any Owl City songs well enough to sing them in public, so I'd probably go with "Drag Me Down" by One Direction.
DON'T KILL ME IT'S ONLY BECAUSE IT WAS SO SIMPLE IT'S EASY TO MEMORIZE.
I'd sing Kyau & Albert's "Made of Sun", since its really the only song thatn I've bothered to memorize the lyrics for :P :D
UNGATT, UNGATT, UNGATT TRUNN!!!
You're back? You're back!
Guys, Ungatt's back! :D
