Mattina, stopped as she watched him go over the edge. Her heart pounded hard as she made her way slowly forward and peered down. The cat, her enemy had seemly fallen to his doom.

The female stoat backed away from it, knelt to her knees and stuck her sword in the ground. Bowing her head she said.

"Aesculus, you are avenged and your soul is now free. I have done my duty and have freed our family's name of shame. Rest in endless peace."

She got up, sheathed her sword and walked away from the sunset to start a new life in the wild lands of the dancing cliffs.
