The rain didn't see any sign of letting up tonight... And neither was Skarflank. The fox, as his name indicated, was covered in scars, which, mixed the his huge size (some wondered if he was half-wolf) and his almost always dour mood, made the snarling fox just even more intimidating.

"Ya call this a haul?!" he barked at the ferrets and weasels that had brought in more slaves. The captive beasts were a sorry sight: six shrews, two old mice, two fat dormice*, and one paper-thin hare. "Ya think the searats are gonna be pleased wit' this?! They'll prob'ly keel 'fore we even get to the darn rats!"

The mustelids shuffled their footpaws. "Well, deys all we c'n fin', bo-"

"Then head farther out, ya lazy bums!!"

(*Fat domice as in the dormouse species that looks like a small squirrel)
