I think it's okay like it is. And if you do decide to make it a colour, then don't use a dark colour or the text will be hard to read.

Couple of things here, since I've been doing this kind of stuff for years now.....
1.) You say the page is mossflower.com yet, you don't link to it. It is a domain name for sale, and doesn't come cheap by the looks of it. Unless you intend to buy the domain name and host a site on it, you should consider changing what you call the site. Give it a name, call it by that name, and then link to it. For example, I run a website called Classic Ranger Rick, and whenever I advertise, I call it by the name, not by its link on google sites. That would be the first thing you need to do.
2.) When you first come to the site, it isn't obvious there is anything there. I see "links" and "credits" neither of which tell me that the site offers anything useful. When I click links, I see lists. So rename your links page to something like "Redwall Character Lists" or something more obvious as to what is hiding behind the link. People won't just randomly click on stuff given all the garbage the net is full of these days. You need to let the people know something is there.
3.) I know this is a work in progress, but as it stands, I'm not positive what you're offering on this page. What you have to realize with Redwall websites, is that there's been many many of them. LordLBT runs the Redwall Wiki which practically is the definitive site for Redwall information. Right now I see you making a slimline version of the Redwall wiki. Its not a bad idea, but your competition is the Redwall wiki, and I think more newbies to Redwall would visit the wiki first. Make your site unique...offer readers something they cannot get from the wiki--fanart collections, short stories, character biographies (so you look at each character in depth). You never just want to have exactly what another site has.
4.) I like the charts....they just need labels. "The Redwall Character List" is that for just the book Redwall, or will it eventually include all the books? Consider chunking the chart by book, otherwise it will just be one huge chart (unless that's what you want). I think most would rather see it done by book.
5.) Depending on your website building ability, you might want to consider something free to get your feet off the ground. Try Google Sites for free (http://sites.google.com) and use some of their templates to get you started. That will solve some of the color issues and image problems that you're currently having. I used to use programs to design my own sites too, but all the new coding and stuff has left me in the dust, and I haven't the time to learn new tricks. :p So I go with places that do the heavy lifting for me so I can take the time to make my site better, and worry less about the code I need. :)

I don' think green's a great background color, and that shade doesn't really mtach blue and red....sorry. i'm just strying to give advice, you know. I would personallly recommend a paler color for the background.

To be honest... Now it's worse! The Yellow/Green combination was better than the sickly greenblue/and pink one.

Same comment as before....white text or a very light color yellow or yellow-green. Nothing in the red spectrum. Nothing in the blue spectrum. These will not work on a green background.

My 2 cents...if you're still listening to me....you're asking too much of your audience. Go with what YOU like...its YOUR site. Its ok to ask if it can be read clearly (meaning the colors don't clash), but asking if white is good, you'll get many different opinions, then you won't know what to do.

Okay so if you want to click under Tribes of Redwall, there will be two tabs under that. Mice and Badgers. They are quiet close together so it's hard to read and udnerstand. You might want to fix that.

One thing I saw just clicking on random things, Mattimeo Characters List - I don't think you meant to call Slagar, Vitch, and the rest of his crew "traitors". ;) They were never "good" in the first place. Also I've never encountered "species" written as a singular word.

Before branching out to a forum too, get the site itself in better shape. I think I've mentioned in the past how the list pages would be far better with images on them. For example, the TV series page, should have covers of the DVD sets, or a picture of characters from episodes. Something to look forward too besides the list. ;) The character pages could definitely use some images of the characters. Its going to take some legwork and a scanner, but you'd be best off to spend your time making what you got 100% versus leaving it 50% and trying to add more stuff to visit....couple of pennies from me. :)

Yes. Absolutelly! The website is far from being over. Each character name will be a link to the characters history and everything! I'm thinking of putting some images in the home page too.

What do you need a VP for? A forum? With websites I find teamwork is good, but if you have a true vision for you want the site to be, best to keep yourself on a solo path, then you won't be disappointed with the final result. ;)
My idea of the website is not 100% visionized. I have a good idea of what I want, but it still needs some work.
I've modified the main page a little. I'll also need someone to get the pics while I work on other stuff.

Here is what happened:
Since making a Forum entirely is really hard and long, I downloaded one and put it on the Website. But it was really bad and wasn't working at all.
And some quick news: I'm trying to fix my computer by putting older stuff(temporary of course) and will be able to continue working.
I love the list of all the food and beverages ever included in the Redwall series. The website looks great.
Thanks! And maybe soon there could be the recipes of the foods and beverages. :)
UPDATE: I can now work again, so continue on working on the lists, and check for new information soon.

Just curious: Are the Abbots/Abbesses in chronological order? 'Cause if they aren't, one cool thing to do would be to put them in order (like the one from Mossflower, then Legend of Luke, Mariel of Redwall, etc. That order ;)) so that someone can know who came before/after who. Also, (and a reminder, these are just suggestions) you could put what book(s) the Abbot/Abbess were found in. Not just mentioned, but what books they were the Abbot/Abbess.
They're already in Chronological Order, which was the best way of putting it.
And as for your second suggestion, there will be links to the abbots/abbesses, which will have all info about them.

Mmm, I think chronological might be easier to read, yeah. That way, if you're, say, writing a fanfic in between The Legend of Luke and Mariel of Redwall (or whatever), you know who was Abbot/Abbess. :)

I've been checking out your website for a while now and I'm glad it's up and running but I don't think I'll join. it's a good site but I'll just be a member on here but well done for finishing it. My sister had to make a website for collage and I saw how hard it was so well done.

In the Book listings of characters when it says all the Redwall books they are from, you put The Legend of Luke before Lord Brocktree. Does it come before or not? I though LB came after TLOL?

um one thing that I'm finding difficult with the site, Redwaller is that the links on the main board are squished together and it is hard to press the right one, apart from that I think its great.

Yea, I think thats a problem that can be fixed.
EDIT: I think that your Forum section has a spammer. Allot of the text he posts have a ton of chinese (?) words and have nothing to do with Redwall. Think that the spammer can be taken care of?
There's a lot of problem with spammers, and I'm trying to take care of them.

When I click the link a search engine comes up and it says it can't find the site. Whats wrong?
Redwaller (the site creator) needs to renew his membership, or something like that.
He as to get the site going again by renewing his subscription.
When will he do that? It's been a while.
