Title: Tom Swifties
Post by: Maudie on July 11, 2013, 01:04:46 AM
Okay, so in this game first you do a sentence, then add "Tom said" and an adjective that makes it funny, for example:
"I don't know what to buy" Tom said listlessly.
"That's the last time I'll wrestle with a shark." Tom said offhandedly.
"This pencil is too dull." Tom said bluntly.

That make sense?

This is funny! However, I am at a loss. I have no Ideas.

So, does the next person finish the sentence, with the 'Tom said', or do we finish our own?

Both work for me.

"I'm never going to whisper again!" Tom said loudly.

You finish it n your own, but if the person before you doesn't do one I guess you could do like Drake did.

"What a clean mirror!" Tom said reflectively.

It's bad habits to keeping ending 'x said' with an adjective, don'cha know? ;)

"I'm so angry!" Tom said cheerily.

Yes, but I read somewhere that the author of the Tom Swift series had a habit of doing that. That book is what told me about this game. (Good for a laugh was what the book was called)

"That's a nice statue," Tom said figuratively

Ahh! Didn't realise the choice of Tom was based off something else. :)

"I feel fresh and awake!" said Tom tiredly.
