Frank the squirrel was having a dreadful day that just got much worse. Scott rose from his bed and turned on his computer. Typing in youtube the young squirrel thought to himself. What youtuber should I watch? RatPat from film theorists, Mr.Beast? Frank's phone began to ring. Frank gave a sigh and picked up the phone. It was his big brother, Jack. Frank only thought one thing. The wedding. How could he be so foolish. Making a mad dash for the closet. He grabbed a pair of faded jeans and a button up flannel. Running outside he grabbed the handle to his car. It didn't budge. He had left his keys in his gym short, running back into the house Frank grabbed his keys, unlocked his van and jumped in. Frank didn't stop pressing his foot down on the gas pedal until he reached the cathedral. Rushing in Frank quickly hugged his brother and his wife to be Hannah. Giving her a small peck on the cheek. After greeting all his family and friends, Frank went to the bathroom, washing up his face he looked in the mirror. Frank thought to himself he didn't look half bad. He was a red squirrel with vibrant green eyes. He was slightly taller than his older brother, which he was proud of and he was a bit smaller than his father, who was a tall muscular beast that loved farming. Frank walked outside and sat on a bench as he waited for the celebrant to come out. After five minutes the celebrant and the altar servers came out with His brother and Hannah. Frank walked into the church and took his place beside his mother in the front pew. Frank held his mothers hand and she smiled at him. He smiled back remembering all those times his mother would give him that same smile when he won a sports game or got an A plus in class. Frank thought he would never get tired of seeing that smile, but little did he know that was the last time he would ever see it.
Frank heard screams and cries, quick as a flash him and his father were outside. If Frank described what was going on in one word and that word is chaos, absolute chaos. Frank saw green animals running around killing people. Frank had heard of a "Zombie outbreak" in the news but the news isn't very reliable. He heard the sirens of police cars. His dad pulled out the pocket knife he always carried with him and said.
"Go inside, warn the others."
Frank was scared all he could do was nod. Frank sprinted inside and began screaming.
"Zombies, Zombies outside get weapons!"
Frank balled his fists and ran outside, just in time to see his dad bitten in the back by a zombie. Frank screamed in rage and began to run at the zombies but a pair of hands grabbed him. It was his brother.
"Let me go. They killed dad"
Frank screamed. He looked into the face of his brother to see that his face was filled with tears. Frank let him pull him into the cathedral and they barred the gates. Frank looked outside to see fifty rockets fly in the sky followed by ten smaller ones. Frank fumbled for his phone and checked the news. They were nuking us.
Frank got out of his brothers firm grass and climbed up the bell tower. Frank remembered his first camping trip he had brought a tomahawk which he never took out of the car for some reason. Frank opened his car door and grabbed the tomahawk. The zombies were breaking the door down. Frank watched as the door fell down. Thinking quickly he ran to his car and drobe it through the horde stopping infront of the doors he screamed for his family to get in. His brother and two cousins, Matt and Troy made it to the car. His brother jumpes out of the car running back in.
"What are you doing?"
Frank screamed.
"I need to get Hannah"
Was the reply. Frank jumped out of the car he forgot about his mom. He was about to go in but was stopped by a zombie squirrel that was wearing the exact same clothes his dad had worn.
"Dad what are you doing"
The zombie advanced only to be stopped by Frank'a brother who was tugging along his wife.
"That was dad and where is mom?"
Asked Frank.
"I didn't see her"
Frank was about to run inside but this rime he was stopped by a loud explosion as the first nuke made contact.Frank his brother and his wife jumped into the car and Frank stepped on the gas pedal. Frank looked in the rearview mirror. He saw radiation waves speeding after them. Frank stepped even harder on the gas pedal. The radiation was getting closer. closer. Frank was flung forward as the radiation traveling at thousands of miles an hour made contact with their car . The car flew ten feet in the air and landed with a loud crash and Frank blanked out.
*Watches with wide eyes as Lass recites all of that.*
