Step by step, the Fortress has finally arrived at the Cosmic Portal.

Magatsu and an entourage of Shadows dismount and walk/float/fly/crawl towards it.

One Shadow gets too close and the Portal releases a bolt of energy.

The Shadow begins writhing and spasming as Magatsu and the others watch a transformation take place...

The formerly mundane Shadow now was covered in a hard outer carapace  embedded with several glowing blue crystals gIvins the Shadow a blue glow. The same crystals were also floating around the Shadow and it lets out a loud screech.

Hmmmmm... So this is more than just a doorway...

You are not wrong my friend...

The Shadows take a step back as a tall figure steps out of the Portal and Magatsu finds himself standing face to face with... himself...

After the Fall, a Mysterious Storm covered the land as a meteor made its way towards it...

The Cosmic Storm altered the meteor, giving it unnatural and unique properties

The impact of the meteor chaged the surrounding landscape and led to the growth of blue crystals, which emitted a mysterious aura...

Living beings who try to harness the power of the Cosmic Crystals for themselves find they cannot handle the immense power radiating from it, and they eventually crystallize and shatter...

Shadows on the other hand, adapt and evolve, gaining more power, strength, identity...

So? What are you trying to get at?

Your efforts are proving futile, so I propose an alliance to bring this world to it's knees...

How do I know you won't stab me in the back at the first opportunity?

With a grin the two Great Shadows clasp each others hands in agreement.

Calamity-Magatsu casts his hand as a horde of Cosmic-Shadows exit the Portal, ready for battle...
