Miss Russa is in charge, when she's here. However, Mr. Verdauga is also entitled to our respect.

Well, technically, we're supposed to respect all human life, no? So wouldn't that give me just as much authority as Verdauga?

Booklover, that's like asking why you shouldn't kill another person. It's just not right. There are some things that don't need a reason; they just need to be observed. Not here, at the moment. There will likely be some cases in which I have authority in the future, but, at the moment, I am but an insignificant pawn, doing my best to get to the other end of the board so I can become something useful.

Yes, it is. Miss Russa was very happy to receive the help Mr. Verdauga offered. Us young ones weren't being very easy on her.

He self appointed at first, but we all protested that so he asked Miss Russa and she said that yes, he can be the substitute teacher.
