Thousands of years after the great battles fought by hares and woodlanders, Redwall has expanded globally and has pioneered space travel as a whole. Forming into the Mossflower Republic, they aim for the stars in a new series of colonization attempts, the last of which went horribly wrong.
After receiving a garbled message from a colony which went dark fourty-five years ago, the Republic sends a ship full of military personnel and civilian investigators to find out what happened and why the colony is just now sending a signal...

Defense:
Shields, energy fields that can block laser fire when activated. Takes up a lot of power and the battery needs to be recharged after a few minutes of constant shield use.
Armor, basic protection for all beasts. Can dampen direct blaster hits and slow down shord attacks. Easily available and standard equipment for all Empire military beasts.
Weapons:
Shords, electrified swords capable of knocking even the most hardy beasts unconscious in seconds. Used by security and meant for more brawny beasts.
Blasters, the standard weapons. Fires a bolt of energy that takes a few seconds to recharge. Deadly at any range and highly effective against most beasts.
Lightsabers - powerful melee energy weapons that can shear off appendages in one hit. Powered by rare crystals, and wielded by the High Inquisitor, Emperor, and the Jedi.

He aspires to be a model citizen and help whoever he can. This leads him to be a bit of a stickler for rules. If he had a blaster and was staring his worst enemy in the face, he would not be able to pull the trigger. He spends his life saving beasts, and plans to keep it that way.

And what better way to help out than to fight for freedom? However it fits well enough and has a silver cord along the left shoulder that marks her as an administrative officer, and pilot wings above her right pocket. Strapped on her right leg is a pistol holster which looks very new, and well-polished. Every part of the uniform looks well cared for, if a bit small, and Lacy wears it with pride.
Weapon: Low power, blaster pistol.

Personality: Lacy is an energetic, smart, logistical thinking individual. She is highly motivated and optimistic, and while she is still a new pilot, and officer fresh out of the academy and flight school she is already showing her capability. Lacy made it very clear she wasn't going to listen to the doubters, and try's her best to fit in with the larger woodlander crowd. She can be a bit overbearing, and somewhat of a know it all at times, which doesn't help her social issues. Should she start messing up in a high risk situation she can get flustered, and sometimes even panic.
History: Lacy grew up with her older brother in a poor neighborhood, the two young rats, from an early age started showing promise. Lacy in particular was seen as far smarter, and more capable then most woodlanders her age. Then, when she was only six her brother and father disappeared, never to be seen again. Her father had been working with an engineering company building ships, and while he didn't make much he had done well to support his little family. Hurt by her husband's disappearance Lacy's mother fell ill and died soon after, leaving the lonely, seven season old ratling on her own. However even in foster care Lacy seemed determined to make the best of things, and help other creatures like herself. At seventeen, with an impressive track record from school and a Youth Military program Lacy entered the Naval Space Academy and graduated with honors at the top of her class two seasons later. She was one of the first rats to do so since the academy allowed vermin species to enter. After a season of pilot's school she graduated that and moved on to take an Administrative position in the hopes of making the world a better place.

Personality: Brooding, and purposely mysterious Jade keeps himself distant from the other military officers and even the other SP agents. His work seems to be everything to him, and he focusses single mindedly on it. One does not want to disobey or fail Jade as he is the lead interrogator, and one of the High Inquisitors most fear agents. His loyalty to the High Inquisitor and her command staff seems unquestionable, and his devotion, unmatched.

Other: Jade reports directly to the High Inquisitor and her command staff. As one of the head SP agents he commands the small, but highly skilled teams of Agents whose purpose is to root out, and destroy traitors, and on occasion protect vital assets.

Then he's a soldier with a blaster.
Although I can really only imagine him using something swordlike, but oh well.

I really like the looks of this so far! Great opening post! My mind is already so full of questions - What is this rock? who is the ferret and why did he take it? How will it effect the story? Is Cluny making a comeback? How does the force work in this version of Star Wars?

Arquitens-class light cruiser. For star wars, anyway. It's just the right size and serves my purpose perfectly.

Technically, no. But I vote we let you in. You could easily be a random soldier or something. All you would have to do is read the RP to catch up. It's up to Sage though. :)

If you really want to do this go ahead. As you can see in the original post all protagonists and antagonists are taken, so you'll have to make either a generic good character like Fatch's or an evil character like Sandpaw's. I suggest you make a good character since we need more, but be warned that they will not get the same amount of RO time as your evil character.

How long exactly will the flights be? And where is the Daynora headed to?
Each ship is headed for the opposite planets.
I'm planning for something to happen to the Daynora, once everyone on board posts at least once if they haven't before.
Is the Daynora supposed to defeat this wave of attackers, or does something else happen?

Umm, random question - as some of the heroes don't post overly often, is there any chance I could join them, rather than sending Dann back to Wayland?
There hasn't been much evil activity lately, and I'll miss being able to use Dann...

Actually, I was considering that myself. Batlord IS on vacation, so you're character can essentially replace her's.
I wouldn't want to kick her out of the hero group or replace anyone - I'd just like to be involved in it also!

It's clear that Bat and Han aren't going to be returning anytime soon. For anyone interested in the RP, post here if you want to take over one of their characters until, if, they return in time. Also, Ashleg left the RP, so that leaves a new character slot, since we're putting it down to his character dying in the crash.
I can control Han's character. Do you have a current active character Sage? Perhaps you could create one, and LT could take Liswell?
It doesn't have to be that particular combination - I could make a new one, or take Liswell, if you guys want a different role or character. Whatever works best for everyone. :)

The beast watching you was a survivor of a different crash. He'd help you repair a shuttle from the Daynora for the other NPC survivors to get back to Wayland, and a second one for the heroes to get to the evil planet. There's be a fight there, and then a battle on Wayland.
