Sky Warriors of Mossflower: General Gustav Bellator, General of the Sky Warriors of Mossflower watched the thunderstorm below him. It truly was beautiful seeing it like this, he and many other bald eagles patrolled the skies during these storm for invaders. His sources told him the Flyers of the Great Land of Southsward were up to something big, what it exactly was, was anybeasts' guess. For all he knew it could be a full scale attack. Which would be completely foolish against his defenses, but nonetheless a possibility. Watching lightning light up the clouds below him, he waited for the storm to clear. "Maximus! " his voice matched the thunder below.
"yes general!" replied Maximus, his head patroller.
"spread out your unit as wide as you can, I want nobeast getting through without us knowing! Is that understood?"
"Yes Sir!" Maximus went about relaying his orders.
Something was about to happen, the general could feel it in his bones. He flew, and waited for the storm to clear.

Flyers of the Great Land of Southsward: far away at that same moment, heading North out of the land of Southsward north to Mossflower, Clabb Quickfeather flew on his mission to survey the Sky Warriors of Mossflower defenses before the invasion. He had to see as much as he could, using the storm ahead for cover, and get out before getting spotted, something he's done before, but felt extra nervous this time. The fate of his tribe was now upon the wings of a 23 season year old mallard. Blinking water away from his eyes, he entered the storm, and the land of the Sky Warriors of Mossflower...

Winged Beasts of the North: Hidden among the mountains of the North in a maze of tunnels, Czarmadi Firetail paced back in forth in front of a map of the land of Mossflower and it's surrounding country, several leaders of the Winged Beasts of the North stood around the massive table the map was printed on (Rakkety Tam, you can be in there if you want). "so... The Sky Warriors of Mossflower are currently on the defense after their pathetic attempt to take us over. they are now short several flyers. I would suggest an invasion, but at is too predictable, besides their defenses would be a challenge at half their current size. Here is what I propose, those pesky Flyers of Southsward have been rather successful with their current invasions and surveillance. I suggest we leave their hopes thwarted, hit them where it hurts. In order to do this, I propose a series of checkpoints to be set up along the western mountains, and a second base set up here." she pointed to a mountain labelled K5 (made up mountain, yes I got the idea from K2) by the Winged Beasts. "if we control these mountains, we will control the majority of the West coast. Also, if this base is set up secretly, we will be able to relay messages quicker, and give us a better point of attack on both the Sky Warriors of Mossflower, and Flyers of the Great Land of Suthsward." murmurs of agreement went through her audience. After several minutes, the general of the Winged Beasts of the North, General Arkan, stepped forward "when would construction of these checkpoints and base take place, and how big will they be?"
"the checkpoints will hold about 4 or 5 birds each, the base will hold roughly a score and a half (30). Construction would begin in an estimated 3 days, we have supplies, the only problem would be we would have to send an extra amount with them to construct, this will leave us more vulnerable, but since no attacks will be coming out of Mossflower anytime soon,and any Flyers of Southsward would have to go straight through Mossflower, or meet our force in the mountains. We should be safe. I suggest during this time, we still have full lookouts posted around the mountains, so any scouts would assume we have the same size force.
"this is a fairly large sum you are asking for... How many checkpoints are we setting up?"
"5"
More murmurs arose, after what seemed like eternity, the general spoke, "I will allow this construction to take place, however, if anything should happen to our soldiers, I will hold it to you, Czarmadi."
"I understand."

meanwhile in mossflower. Balock was on his way to see general Gustav Bellator for they had been great freinds for years. and Balock Cadle wanted to know if Gustav had any idea of what the Flyers of the Great Land of Southsward were up to. ''Gustav my old freind how have u been and what is the situation with the Flyers of the Great Land of Southsward". "do u know anything of what they are up to my flyers need to know what is happening". Balock said to Gustav.

Winged Beasts of the North: Czarmadi was expecting this reply. "we will not be defenseless, since our enemies are also down several numbers, we are still roughly even. We defeated them last time and will do it again if necessary. Again this operation is to remain secret. If we are careful, nobeast will know about this and we will be back to near full strength soon when the workers return. As for the Flyers of Southsward, if they ran into our troops in the mountains, we would be able to take them out, however, none would be able to live because they would know our secret. I admit it's risky, but also a necessity in order to turn the tide in our favor."

Sky Warriors of Mssflower: The main base of the Sky Warriors of Mossflower was in the heart of Mossflower woods, where the trees formed a thick canopy over the ground, blocking out the light. Only lanterns lit the area. Birds of all species perched in the branches of these giants and also walked on the ground. Gustav Bellator was about to fly somewhere when Balock found him. Gustav talked to Balock like he would a brother, they were great friends and shared many victories together. "Ahh Balock, I'm glad you asked! You see, after the storm, the clouds parted, almost perfectly, to reveal something to me. Something that will change the tide of this war in our favor and help us bring order to this land. Come, I am on my way to to see him now." the two took off and flew towards the holding center of the Sky Warriors of Mossflower.

OCC: currently, the Flyers of the Great Land of Southsward are winning the war, then the Winged Beasts of the North, then Sky Warriors of Mossflower. just so people know what's going on

What area were you flying over? What did he see? Are you on one of the 3 teams? We gotta know more detail.

He was flying right above a lake. He saw vast open woodland with deer pigs from below. He is coming to see the eagles.

Valkra watched him from her perch in a tree. She had never seen him before.

The goose lands clumsily and asks nervously; "Excuse me sir, uh... ma'am, or... I'm sorry can't tell the gender. Anyway is this where the north eagle army is?"

Valkra laughed shortly. 'I really don't know. Something tells me they may be...north.'

To which the goose replied; "And where's that?"

The falcon had to stuff her wing in her beak to avoid laughing out loud. 'Hahaha...north is...heeheehee...that way!'
She pointed north.

Much to his oblige, The goose thanks the falcon and flies away.

Frightful was zooming through the storm clouds looking for spies suddenly she spotted a faint spot she flew straight up a hot air collum that carried her almost to the top of the atmosphere and hovered over the great distance between the speck and herself it was a goose (it had a long neck)flying in her territory or rather the mossflower warriors territory she dived straight down at the greatest speed she could fly which is pretty fast (OOC:being the fastest bird in the world I think?BIC: )and stoped abrubtly before the goose who had bow she knew he could cause her no harm with her great speed.What are you doing here? Who sent you?Where are you from? Frightful said, OOC:her voice is deep but can be kind and sothing but if you get her mad or if she's in war her screeching call is truly FRIGHTFUL BIC:she would not let him pass whithout an explanation!

To which her captive replied; "I,Ima.. My name is Branferd. I am just a humble farm fowl flying past these woods so I could look for the eagles. I have heard so m,many g'great tales about your... Duh Their kind when I was a clutchling but I had just had go see them myself for I'm not sure weather to believe them." whilst nervously still.

But the falcon still had him by his throat so he continued explaining. "I work for no vermin honest. I'm just a farmer, tending his sheep, while still having hopes of one day becoming a fine arcer for the good allies of mossflower."

Frightful flew back well in that case she said kindly I humbly apologise, you wish to see my great master gustav I am sure he will enjoy your visit!

Branferd: "Just so long as he doesn't eat me." <-)

Sky Warriors of Mossflower: Gustav led Balock to the holding chamber of the Sky Warriors. The gaurds parted and opened the first door for the general. Inside was a series of massive thorn bushes that formed a roof and walls to a hallway leading to another door. Two more guards parted and opened the door. Inside was a mallard duck stretched out on a wooden table, in the middle of interrogation. A raven stood over him, emotionless. "aaahhhh, General Gustav, my comrade! we have learned much about him, however nothing much of the Flyers of Suthswards' plans. He has confirmed something big is planned. However getting it out of him is rather difficult. No worries however, he will soon crack like all the others have."
"hmmm. Unfortunately, we are limited as to time. The storm was late yesterday evening and now it's almost afternoon. It is only a matter of time before we find out of these plans firsthand. And we have no choice other than to be ready from all sides." stepping up to the mallard, he leaned in close, "what do you know, duck?" all he got in reply was spit in the eye. He laughed and wiped it away, "I like him, he has guts..." turning onto the duck with tremendous force, he pressed his face closer to his until they were almost touching, "now unless you want to see those guts, you will tell me what you know! Speak!"

Flyers of the Great Land of Southsward: Clabb Qickfeather was terrified. This eagle had to be at least twice his size, and now he was threatening to kill him! He gulped and spoke with what courage he could get together, "I will serve the Flyers of the Great Land of Southsward and only them!" after several hits to his head, the mallard lifted his head, "go ahead, you can beat me as much as you want, but you won't kill me. No, you need me, and you know it! I'll never tell you what is to come!"
"very well" said Gustav. Turning to the raven, "make sure he never flys again!"
Before the raven could do anything, loud screams were heard outside, a guard burst through the door, "General Gustav! The Flyers of Southsward are attacking full force! The- AAGGGHH!"
He was cut off as several falcons burst into the room!

Strongwing flew like a bullet towards the nearest enemy, a small hawk. They collided with a burst of feathers, and Strongwing dispatched him with a quick stab to the neck. Yelling,"Full speed ahead! Attack!"

Sky Warriors of Mossflower Balock was in the house of terror as he called it. screaming and yelling feathers flying everywhere. he floo to his great freind gustav. ''gustav we have got to get out of here any idea how to''. balock said as he ripped out the heart of his opponent with his bare talon.

''sir we have just got word that the sky warriors of mossflower have just been attacked by Flyers of the Great Land of Southsward sir''. the scout said. ''hmmm this would be the perfect time to attack the Flyers of the Great Land of Southsward  but we would have to fly through mossflower undetected what do u think czarmadi''. xahou dun said.

Sky Warriors of Mossflower: He wasn't called "General Gustav Bellator" for nothing! Gustav was everywhere at once, his massive wings beating the enemy relentlessly. Grabbing two falcons in each claw, he launched upwards and rammed them into the ceiling with tremendous force. Flying down, he and the others drove the rest out.
The general emerged and saw Mossflower in a scene of madness. However, The Sky Warriors of Mossflower are known for their defense, invasion drills were a weekly event. Each bird under Gustav's command knew what they were to do. the Flyers of Southsward had gotten much quicker over the years, yes. But they seemed to have left out one key advantage the Sky Warriors had: the woods were very dense. True, They had speed, but manuverability would be the winner of this battle. "Balock! I want you to find your troops in sectors 11 and 12 and keep them pressing the enemy back! Dr. Raven (that was the raven's name, he was also the general before Gustav. He had retired from the position a few seasons ago), fly around the border and have every third soldier formed into a reinforcements infantry and send them into the area in need of the most assistance! I will take the eagle squadron and attack from the rear! Go now!" General Guatav Bellator darted away. The battle was slowly inching in favor of the Sky Warriors of Mossflower!

Flyers of the Great Land of Southsward: Clabb Quickfeather managed to escape the room in all of the chaos. He flew outside, just missing the general's head. He darted straight ahead but was having trouble manuvering through the thick foliage. There! That's my unit! he thought to himself. Once there, I can- he was knocked out of the air and onto the ground. a crow stood above him, an iron sword-like weapon was over its beak. He reached for his Sgian doh, but it wasn't there! Bracing himself for death, the crow lifted its beak and struck, but it never hit him. The crow was swept completely off of Clabb's body and into a tree by another Flyer. He wasted no time to get to his unit and got a weapon, a sharpened iron beak, like that of the crow's, and a Sgian doh. With this, he launched himself into battle. Not knowing what lay in store for him.

Winged Beasts of the North: "I think this Is the perfect time to get our supplies for these checkpoints and base set up and shipped out while the other two armies are busy. It will take a few days to get there, and what better time to do it than when the other territories are in no condition to fight? After this battle, each side will have losses I can guarantee it. I would imagine the Sky Warriors would hold off the Flyers of Southsward, but with their depleted numbers, it could go either way. Once these are set up, we will have a huge advantage over everyone. There's no use in invading Southsward right now, it would take days to reach there and by the time we would reach it, our troops would be in no condition to fight, let alone win. However this base would change that. We could attack both territories from a location unknown to them. And we all know that the worst enemy is the one you can't find is it not? We run a greater risk of being caught and taken out the more we wait. Once the injured are fully recovered from the last invasion, and the workers setting up the base return, we will be back to near full strength. Now is the time to act! This plan can be put into effect and be done with within three weeks at the most! We MUST do this while the others are recovering"

OOc a pincer movement is basicly hitting your enemy from 2 sides making them seperate and get confused

(code nine is a pincer movement from the sides, the majority attacks from front, and a few attack through the back).

Winged Beasts of the North "You may choose to accompany them if you wish, or stay and hold down the fort while I go with them. Unless you have a better plan that is."

OCC: just to clarify guys, it's "winged beasts of the north, flyers of the great land of Southsward, and Sky Warriors of Mossflower" right now, the Flyers of the Great Land of Southsward are invading the Sky Warriors of Mossflower(read the previous posts!). Also, can we please proofread our posts before posting them? There's a lot of grammatical errors that make these hard to read. Thanks!

Sky Warriors of Mossflower: My faithful trooper, Frightful! You have never disappointed me, I would be grateful if you did, however, I cannot risk our battle plans leaking if you were ever to be caught. Even the bravest will tell of plans if the situation is bad enough. No, I need you to be the 'world of the code 9' (the W in 'World' stands for west, and the word 'world' means its a crucial and necessary thing to thrive. Code 9 is described in my last post ^ . So he's asking frightful to be the commander of the western side of the pincer movement) the plan will commence in half an hour. Are you up to the task?"

Winged Beasts of the North: "That's lady to you, Wingright!" said Czarmadi, "I need you to be one of the crew to go with everyone to set up base."

Finally after a confusing aftermath Branferd has finally made it to Mossflower when he can atlast see the eagles.

OOC: here's what's going on based on the RP so far...

It is a scene of chaos in Mossflower woods. Hundreds of birds from the Flyers of the Great Land of Southsward and Sky Warriors of Mossflower are battling it out in the woodlands. Some birds are still arriving to the battle to see that currently, The Flyers of Southsward are putting up a powerful fight and are starting to overwhelm the Sky Warriors of Mossflower. However, many of the Sky Warriors are moving into a formation of some sort and yelling "code 9" and such. Both sides are doing all they can to prevent defeat, but one question remains: who will come out on top?

Meanwhile, back in the Northlands and unknown to the other two sides of the war, the Winged Beasts of the North have sent much of their force out to the mountains inbetween the great plains and Salamandastron to build a second base and series of checkpoints along the mountain range while the other two enemies are busy.

What will happen next? That my friends, is up to you ;)

Bic: "Finally I maid it!"; Said Branferd, and just when he was about to land he colided with another bird, thus again landing clumsily, but this time onto the masses.

then out of nowhere roxas starstriker flies up and hits the southsward fliers from behind

Branferd attempts to fight back with his bow and aims straight for his enemy target.
"Okay arrow, go now and achieve victory." he said to himself nervously.

Branferd still stands confused, scared, remourseful, doubtful, and unanswered, alone in the same spot where the others left as he quistions and criticizes himself.

"My first day begins and ends with my first war. I hadn't the time nor opportunity to introduce or get to know the others. OOC: IMPORTANT NOTICE! hey guys, glad everyone's having fun! Just a couple things I would like to say:

1.) PLEASE, when you post, make sure you make an "OOC" message stating which team you are on before every post. the teams are:
A.) Sky Warriors of Mossflower
B.)Winged Beasts of the North
C.) Flyers of the Great Land of Southsward
D.) Other__________
For the "other" category, please state some form of team. Even if it's "no team" or "wanderer with a friend" etc.
I can't tell you how many times I've seen people mix these teams up or blend them together. Please take the time to clarify who you are talking about and what team you're on.

2.) we need more characters for the "Winged Beasts of the North" and the "Flyers of the Great Land of Southsward" teams. If you would like to make a character on one of these two teams, PLEASE look at the first post I made on the sign up sheet for the rubric and background info on each team.

3.) lastly, I noticed a few people were posting like this:

Please try to make your posts a little more detailed. I understand sometimes we all get a little ahead of ourselves and skip some parts or aren't very clear with what we're saying. Also, "The Eagles" is not a team! I know a lot of you guys are eagles, but that doesn't mean that that's your team name. Please just take a little more time to make your posts more detailed so we can understand it better.

BIC:
Sky Warriors of Mossflower General Gustav Bellator made his way around the camp, helping out where it was needed. The losses were heavy on both sides. Code 9 was a success, the Sky Warriors had managed to push off the invading forces. A couple prisoners of war were taken and would be interrogated later. For now, Gustav had to focus on getting his military back together. A huge chunk of his force had been wounded, a few lay slain in the ground, waiting to be identified as a Flyer of Southsward, or a Sky Warrior of Mossflower. The infirmiry was packed; surgeons, nurses, and Emergency crews had their hands full. He paced around and took everything in. Somebeast was talking to him, he hadn't even noticed him at first. His name was Bradford, he was asking if everything was alright.
"my humble soldier, all is not well in Mossflower today, we have heavy losses as you can see. I would normally assume you were with the Flyers of Southsward. I have never seen your face before. But I saw you fight, you are a very skilled archer. I would be honored if you joined the Sky Warriors of Mossflower."

OOC: I guess we already did code 9 (by looking at the previous posts). But don't worry, I'm sure a new battle will pop up very soon! ;)

Team North: Lieutenant Longfeather  the falcon soared through the frigid mountains of the North. "Ach, there's naught like a few days of flyin' te get yer spirits up, ye ken," he said to himself. He had spent the past few days flying on thr northwest coast, talking with some other birds about their flying adventures and techniques and whatnot, but mainly just sheer flight. He had finally returned to the Mountains, and when he saw the headquarters, he screeched. "Whit in the name of flyin' feathers is going on down there? Ye ken, theres practically no defenses set up!" He zoomed down into the maze of tunnels that was the headquarters. "Czarmadi! Where are ye? What's gone on while Ah've been gone?"

Winged Beasts of the North Czarmadi looked up from the massive table-map and saluted. "Lietenant Longfeather, just the falcon I wanted to see! Much happened while you were away..." Czarmadi told the Lietenant of the events leading up until that moment. How the Flyers of Southsward had invaded the Sky Warriors of Mossflower and how neither side will be able to attack for a short while, the plan to set up the bases in the Western mountains, and how all of this was to be accomplished. Flyers of the Great Land of Southsward Clabb awoke with a jolt. He was still in enemy territory! The sequence of recent events flooded into his mind. He had been knocked into a tree by a large bald eagle, taking the hit for a few younger soldiers so they could get away. He looked around to see the area he was in deserted-wait! Somebeast was moving, groaning, obviously wounded. Turning his head slightly, the mallard saw a crow standing over the wounded beast, kicking the creature, enjoying its misery. Clabb reached for his Sgian doh, only to find it missing. He had a pounding headache. Putting his wing to his head he accidently pricked himself. He was still wearing his steal mask. Getting up slowly, as to not alert the crow, he creeped towards it. Snap a twig broke beneath his webbed foot. The crow spun around, Clabb lunged forward and struck at it with his beak, only to find that the crow also had a steel beak on as well. They jabbed at each other back and forth, all the while, the crow letting out squawks of alarm for the other Sky Warriors to hear. Suddenly, the crow froze and toppled over. The wounded Flyer had stabbed it in the back of the head with his beak. It was general silentwing, leader of the Flyers of the Great Land of Southsward! "General!" Clabb was surprised to see him in this state. Rushing to his side, he cradled his head. "I...it's so dark... So dark... Dark..." the General gasped out each word. "tell the other Flyers, if there are any left.... We failed..."
"C'mon general, we have to get you home! We can make the flight, get up general, please, we can't lose you!... General! General!!" It was useless, Clabb picked up the general, he wouldn't be able to fly with him unconscious. So he dragged him. He kept going until he found a stream and cleaned his wounds as best he could. Then he splashed water on Silentwing to wake him up. He sat up with shock.
"c'mon sir, we're getting you home!"
"Over there! Get them!" the Sky Warriors had found them. Cursing under his breath, Clabb picked up the general and took off. But to no avail. "Private Roguebeak we need to go now!" yelled Clabb. He wasn't about to let the Sky Warriors know that this was the general of the Flyers of the Great Land of Southsward. Finally, the general flew, slower than he usually flew, but he was one of the fastest in the land, so he was at an average pace. They flew with the Sky Warriors on their tail and just made it out of the woods when Wam! A random Flyer of Southsward, out of nowhere, flew straight into the Sky Warriors' ranks. "Go!" he yelled, "I'll hold them off, you get to safety! Don't waste the chance I gave ye! Go now!"
The two did not stop flying until they found the other survivors by accident, resting inbetween a series of hills by a stream and nursing their wounds from the battle and aftermath of code 9.
"Look everybeast! General Silentwing is alive!"
The two arrived among cheers from the ranks of survivors.

Team North: Longfeather grinned. "Ach, that's a canny plan ye've got there, Czarmadi! Although ye scared me a wee bit when Ah saw the depleted numbers back here. As for helping oot, just say the word and Ah'm on mah way! How long 'til we're ready? Or Ah take et ye're already set te go?"

Branferd thought it best to check with Gustuv himself.

BIC:Winged Beasts of the North Czarmadi walked with Lietenant Longfeather through the preparation site. The supplies would be tied together and then have several ropes coming off of them where the birds would hold on to them with their talons, like holding small rafts on ropes. "We will depart as soon as the scout returns to tell us who has won the battle and what condition the Sky Warriors and Flyers are in. If the news is in our favor, we will depart. If not, we will delay the operation until further notice. You will be in charge of group 2 of 10. I'd start packing any necessities and rest up while you can. It's going to be a very long journey. Report back to the gathering room at 0500 tomorrow for the briefing." with that, she left to attend other matters organizing the operation.

Sky Warriors of Mossflower Gustav Bellator was picking up the mess and tending to wounded when he heard the crow's call of distress. He made a feeble attempt to lift off in his direction, but failed. His wing had been severely hurt during the battle. It would be a miricle if he ever flew again. Turning to the nearest bird to him, he ordered. "you, branferd, take five with you and find out what's going on, fix it, and report back to me when it's over. Understood? Good, go now!"

Team north: " Et soonds guid. Ah'll see ye then." Longfeather flew over to his quarters. "Ah well then, if we're tae be working on the morrow, 'tis probly a guid ahdea to get some rest." Nestling in a corner, he closed his eyes and slept.

Team North:

The following morning , at 0450, Longfeather was pacing about impatiently in front of Czarmadi. "Ach, Ah'm no' a beast tae be standin aroond much! But I still have a question for ye; Ye haven't explained tae me whit these checkpoints are going tae be used for, and whit exactly are th comprosed of?"

Ooc: I know Redwall isnt involved but will Salamandastron be? 'cause Longfeather would definitely ask about that if they were.

BIC: Wnged Beasts of the North "to answer your question Lietenant," said Czarmadi, "the checkpoints will be fairly small. Only housing a couple of our soldiers. The purpose of them is to make relaying messages easier and using them as points for scouts to go in and out of. It'll be like 5 extra sets of eyes along the mountain range and one fair sized base towards the south of the mountains. This will give us a vantage point over the Flyers of Southsward because we can invade straight from there, and over the Sky Warriors, because they would not expect us coming from the West. Does that answer your question Lietenant?"

Longfeather stopped pacing About. "Et answers mah question well. Well now , whit are ae waiting for! Let's move out and get the checkpoints workin'. They're of nae use standin'aboot here, ye ken. "

Taking his ten birds, Longfeather followed Czarmadi's directions to a T, finding the perfect tree-covered area that was perfect for setting up the checkpoint. He had the ten set down the supplies. "Ach, ye'll probly need some rest! Take a few minutes and rest yarselves." As his helpers perched on the ground, Longfeather scouted the area even more closely to find the right spot to set up. "Nay, that spot is tae oot en the open! Ye'd be spotted in an instant, ye ken. This spot has a good cover, but if they needed tae get oot en a hurry, theyd nevah stand a chance. Ah, here es the spot! Three pine trees settin' right next tae each other! We can set et oop there! Ach, I hope that those slow-winged flyers have caught their breath!"
Suddenly, Longfeather spotted movement in the trees. He spotted the telltale movement of creatures. "Hey! Ye Dozy clipp-winged excuses for flyers!! Get yerselves over here!"

BIC: Winged Beasts of the North Czarmadi and the rest of the Winged beasts of the North flew way behind Lietenant Longfeather. "at the rate he's driving those creatures, I'll be amazed if they're still breathing by the time they make it to the mountains! Nobeast has been able to match Longfeather at long distances." Czarmadi said to a cadet flying next to her. "Officer Czarmadi, look over there! It's the mountains! We've made it undetected!" said a soldier behind her.

Flyers of the Great Land of Southsward That night, Clabb was promoted. He was no longer a scout, instead, he was now a captain and was bestowed the golden feather, the highest honor of the Flyers of the Great Land of Southward. He wore it on his wing with pride as he walked around the camp with his friends who were scouts. Clabb was sad to see he wasn't a scout anymore, but was thrilled that now he was now a higher rank than most of the Flyers of Southsward and held much power now. It was a great feeling that was short lived. It only took a little bit of time for the thought of the amount lost in the battle to truly sink in. He was devastated to hear his friend, Buck, who was also a mallard, was MIA (missing in action). He knew not whether he lived or not. The thought tore a chunk from his heart. They had been through much together and had flown countless reconnaissance missions. He would miss him greatly. He vowed he would never give up until he was avenged ten fold.

Sky Warriors of Mossflower Gustav was infuriated. Two had gotten away and six of his own were held back by one Flyer of Southsward. Six! This was no exception even though they brought the bird back and identified him as a Major of the Flyers of Southsward. He was currently in interrogation. Gustav would help get things back in order and have the wounded tended to before he went to see him. It would take a couple of days...

Team North: Longfeather's ten arrived behind him as he yelled, "hey!Whitever's over there, show uerself, or ye'll be sorry ye did!"
So show themselves they did. A score of hares led by a Large female badger careying a spear came out of the undergrowth. The hares had bows at the ready, but not drawn. The badger said, "We mean you no harm.... Yet. What are you doing here, falcon? What is your business?"
Longfeather sighed. "Et's none o' yer business, badger. This is a thing fer birds only."
The badger pointed to a mountain in the distance. "Do you see that? That is Salamandastron, and I am Spearlady Gorse, its ruler. As far as I'm concerned, you could be setting up a place to attack the mountain."
"Ach, Ah have nae intrest in yer mountain, Spearlady. Ah told ye, et es a thing for birds against other birds, nae earthcrawlers."
Spearlady Gorse pointed to a hare. "Thos runner here has reason to beleive otherwise. Why don't you tell him?"
The hare stepped forward. "Yes, sah, i do. I was doin'my regular run, when I saw a falcon flying around, looking at the mountain. I said to myself, 'what's a bloomin' falcon doing around here?' So I decided to follow it. It went up north and into some mountains, so I wited for the morning

"... When The morning came, I saw you with those ten come back out from the mountains. They were headed pretty much straight for Salamandastron, so I sprinted back here as fast as I could. I told Lady Gorse of the situation. So, here we are. " he stepped back.
Longfeather stared approvingly at the young hare. "Ye've got some good creatures, Spearlady, if'n ye've got creatures that can hide from me. Well, I kin assure ye, ye're creatures wil nae be harmed."
Spearlady Gorse saluted with her spear. "I trust you, Falcon. We'll leave you to your business.". With that the score of hares disappeared back into the undergrowth.
Longfeather turned his attention back to the stack of supplies. "Alright, Let's get tae work! We should be done before evening if we do et correctly. "

Winged Beasts of the North "Longfeather!" Czarmadi and the rest had caught up with him and his group. "what is going on here? Who were those beasts I saw with you? Do you realize this may have endangered this entire operation? Dont just stand there, speak!"

Sky Warriors of Mossflower "Somebeast bring me frightful! I have an assignment for her." said Gustav as he was helping with the wounded.

Team North: Longfeather waved a wing at Czarmadi. "Ach, ye have nae reason tae fear. Those were Salamandastron beasts. They wanted tae know whit we were doin'. Don't ye worry, They won't be bothering us anymore."

Ok I want to steal that character

Winged Beasts of the North Czarmadi was silent for a moment, "...very well. But I don't want the setup to go up here. We'll have to move it farther up the mountain where it'll be harder to reach and we can see ground crawlers long before they see us."

Team North: Longfeather glanced in that direction. "Aye, that would be better. Hold up, laddies! We're tae be movin' the checkpoint posthaste!"

Team Mossflower: Balock was desperate. During the code 9, in which he had led a squad, he had not been majorly successful. His group had been able to pick off several of the Flyers, but at a cost. Now only five of his squad remained, he was completely cut off from anybird that could help him, and to make matters worse, his helmet had been torn off and both of his wing-weapons were out of commission. Now he was flying over the Mossflower forest, trying to get his bearings to see if he could get back to Gustav. "Hmm, let's see.. If the great plain is over there, then we are about...no, that's not right. We need to fly in that direction if we want to... Ah, ha! Cummon, guys! This wa-" suddenly he noticed much movement over to the North. "Wait a minute. Who's over there? Redtail, go see!" the young raven took off, fluttering silently. Balock and the other four dropped down below the trees. Redtail returned quickly. "It's a bunch of birds. I am not sure who they were, but one of them looked exactly like Czarmadi Firetail!! They're setting up some kind of checkpoint. No idea what it could be for. "
Balock looked excited. "Are you for sure?Oficer Czarmadi Firetail of the Winged Beasts of the North is not a hundred yards from where we perch? How many of them were there?"
"Twentytwo including Czarmadi."
"Over a score... Too many for us to fight. We'll have to get back to Guatav right away and tell him of this. Furthermore this could be a perfect opportunity to attack heir headquarters. Let's fly!!"

Branferd stops by an apple tree.

Team Mossflower: Balock, while flying towards headquarters, noticed a goose sitting in an apple tree. He knew he had seen that goose before. He swooped down and panted. "hey, you're Branferd, right? Where's Gustav? I have Very important news for him! Czarmadi and the Winged Beasts of the North are up to something. Well, are you going to answer?"

Gustav?, He's back south of here I think, I got seperated from the rest of the group and I just thought I'd roost and retrace my steps... der... flaps that is.

Anyway just fly south and you should be able to see him there.

Mossflower: Balock grinned. "Thanks, man! Cummon, guys! Gustav needs to hear this." With that, he tOok off, his four following closely. After about ten minutes of sprinting, he found a large group of the sky warriors and was shocked. "Whoah! What happened? How did we get so many injured?! Agh, I can't think about it. Where's Gustav?"
He located the eagle when he heard his voice. "Somebody bring me Frightful! I have an assignment for her." There he was! He swooped down and landed next to Gustav and said, "I have important news for you! Something's up with Czarmadi Firetail and her army! They're setting something up that Could be used like a checkpoint. We saw her and about a score with them. What should we do?!"

"Man?" Branferd thought to himself; "Now I know how that one eagle feels." And with he eats some apples and waits for the rest of Mossflower's troops to come.

Sky warriors of Mossflower Gustav Bellator had not heard much good ns that day, the amount of wounded was the majority of his force. He was exhausted in every way, trying to Reorganize an entire army while attending the wounded and cleaning up any debris he could with a broken wing had taken the toll on him.
then Balock landed next to him, "I have important news for you! Something's up with Czarmadi Firetail and her army! They're setting something up that Could be used like a checkpoint. We saw her and about a score with them. What should we do?!"
General Bellator looked behind Balock "unfortunately, we are in no condition to go on the offensive, even if the Winged Beasts have depleted defenses. The smartest thing we can do for now is rebuild and recover. Until then, we can do nothing of this but send out the occasional scout... I see you five are the only ones left of your group... I'm sorry to see this."

Branferd began feeling ill, and it was not from the apples. He had a feeling that he should return to base, but still he felt he should stay put until his leader's next command.

Team Mossflower: Balock looked disappointed. "That's too bad. You never know what they might do with ... Whatever they're doing. Unless... Haha! I've got it." He took off, sprinting alone into the evening, leaving behind a confused and surprised Gustav.

Sky Warriors of Mossflower "what's he up to..." murmured Gustav.

Flyers of the Great Land of Southsward Now all of the Flyers were back in the South where they ruled. They had received tremendous losses after the invasion. However, they didn't look at it as a complete failure, they had managed to take a huge chunk out of the Sky Warriors' defenses and now they were hardly a threat at all to the Flyers. They also had many numbers on their side to replace the fallen, not completely, but effectively. However, a new stradegy would have to be thought up before going back into battle.

Winged Beasts of the North Czarmadi and her group set up the checkpoint and were to camp the night there before moving on at dawn the next day.

OOC: the checkpoint is basically a small, sturdy hut where the birds can stay in shelter while they relay messages and such. There's not enough room for all of the group to stay in one (it fits about 3). Since birds are carnivorous, they'd have to go hunting everyday or so.

Team Mossflower: Balock flew over Branferd again. He noticed that Branferd didn't look too good. "Well, that's kinda bad for him, but I have no time! I've got to get moving." Sailing over to where he had spotted Czarmadi before, he ducked below the trees. Looking around, he found a vine hanging from a tree. He fashioned it into a noose. "Perfect. " Next he took a smaller stick the size of one of the knives on that he once owned. He used his metal talons and sharpened it until it might as well have been a knife. Hopping from branch to branch, he edged closer to the enemy.
Disappointed that he could not find Czarmadi but still game, he maneuvered himself next to the river and waited. He did not have to wait long. A young jackdaw landed next to the river, quite close to Balock. As the jackdaw dipped his beak into the river for a drink, Balock made his move. Swooping down silently, he slid the noose around the jackdaw's neck. Pointing the sharpened stick into the jackdaw's chest, the hawk growled, "You will not make a sound, or you will not see another sunset. You are going to come with me. Gustav will have a few questions for you, about what you are doing here. Do not speak, just nod if you understand. "
The quivering jackdaw nodded slowly. Balock slowly took the stick away, still holding on to the noose with one wing.  "Alright," said Balock. "Fly!" He commanded.
They lifted off, staying just below the treetops, Balock leading.


Team North: Longfeather checked the newly set up checkpoint one last time, the sun dipping into he horizon. "Ach, it looks guid, fellahs! Nae, which three of ye are gaeing tae be staying here?"
A raven and a hawk came forward. The raven looked around. "Hey, where's Haola? He's supposed to be with us. "
Longfeather looked at the others suspiciously. "Ah know not whit manner of bird Haola is, but he better come forward, now!"
Nothing.
Longfeather looked back at the raven. "Tell me, when wis the last time ye saw him?"
He raven scratched his head. "About an hour ago."
"Then either Haola es a traitor, a cowwid, or has Been captured. Ye two stay and Keep your post. The rest of us wil search for him until night. "

The winged beasts of Mossflower.[/bBIC:Frightful had been on a long scout after the battle, then she had been tending to the wounded.She had a bad scar by her left eye but the bird who did it never had time to feel regret he could think about what he did standing at hellgates!Frightful first checked on the younger birds(whom she was privatly fond of)Then flew over to help Gustav. She took some herbs and asked if thier was anything she could do?

"I have to go back!" said Branferd; "Mossflower must need me."

Sky Warriors of Mossflower Gustav was about to give Frightful her assignment when Balock showed up. General Bellator's attention was immediately diverted to the two. He waited for a moment while Balock relayed the events since he had left Gustav. When he finished, he was silent for a bit, "I want this prisoner sent to the interrogation room immediately! Frightful, will you assist Balock and make sure he does not escape? I will meet you both there shortly. Put another noose about his neck before you go... I won't risk anything."

Team Mossflower: "Certainly. Frightful, do you mind holding this rope while I get another one?" He handed the vine to her as Balock grabbed another vine from a nearby tree and made the noose again. Taking the vine, he said. "Let's go." Once they had taken the jackdaw to the interrogation room, they waited for Gustav's instructions.

Sky Warriors of Mossflower After some time, Gustav hobbled into the interrogation room. He dismissed the guards with a salute and they closed the door behind him. A Raven stood at the table the POW was stretched out on. This was Dr. Raven, Gustav's precessor to the rank of General of the Sky Warriors of Mossflower. Often times, this raven was more feared than Gustav, and for a good reason. This raven was a true master of warfare. After many operations on fallen enemies, he had perfected a secret weapon that nobeast but he and General Gustav Bellator knew of. Despite the fact that Dr. Raven was no longer general, he was a brilliant chemist and many soldiers have taken his orders over Gustav's. He was unoficially the most respected and powerful member of the Sky Warriors of Mossflower. Never seen with nothing to do, he rarely went out. And when he did, it wasn't without escort. "Gustav, my comrade! Always a pleasure to see you old friend."
"Dr. Raven, how go the experiments?"
"Very well yes, I will show you once we both get the time. I see you have taken a beating. Please, sit and rest, I insist. I have used some chemicals to knock out our patient, he will come to in a few minutes. Your faithful soldiers did a great job in keeping him under control. They filled me in on what happened. A brave tale indeed, going behind enemy lines... I am told you have an assignment for this one, Frightful, yes?"
"Thank you Dr. And yes I do have an assignment for her, however, I need your consent first."
Taking Dr. Raven to the other side of the room and out of earshot, the two spoke briefly. Bits of conversation could be heard.
"... Oh? I see."
"I feel it is a wise move and..."
"...yes....yes... Of course!..."
When they returned, Gustav spoke, "Frightful, we have decided, since you show the skill, it is our wish that you start working with Dr. Raven as an apprentice and learn the ways of different chemicals and potions. With this knowledge, you will be able to reach unimaginable heights. It is a great responsibility, are you willing to accept?"

Brandon flew all the way back to Mossflower and reached for his bow in case of any attack.

Ooc: did Guatav take Frightful and leave Balock behind? Just making sure.

OOC: no Balock is in the room along with frightful, dr. Raven, and the prison who has yet to come to

Team North: Longfeather returned to the checkpoint with the searchers. There had been no luck finding Haola the missing Jackdaw. "Ah'll have tae reposrt this tae Czarmadi when Ah get back. That's a major problem if he got hisself captured by thah enemy."

Winged Beasts of the North When Officer Czarmadi heard of this, a wide variety of curses came from her beak before she finally calmed down enough to take stock of the situation. "why was I never told of this earlier!? Ach! It doesn't matter anymore... Unfortunately we must assume the worst has happened to our friend Haola, and I bet I know just he beasts who've done it!" Turning to Longfeather, she spoke "remember those groundcrawlers with the stripedog you ran into earlier...?"

OOC:yes, Czarmadi believes it was the long patrol hares that took Haola.

Ooc: who else? Balock did his work well.

Team North: Longfeather agreed, but somewhat half-heartedly. "Ah think we probably wid have noticed if the earthcrawlers had done it, but they were skilled beasts. Personally, Ah'm inclined tae beleive that Haola thought this wid be a guid tahme tae desert."

Winged Beasts of the North "regardless, we will send the rest forward. I want you to stay behind and sort this out." said Czarmadi. "I will send messangers back once everything is set up to see your progress." with this, she flew off.

BIC:Frightful thought long and hard upon her decision, I-I dont know what to say it is a great honor though I hope it doent take a lifetime I dont want to be stuck in a room all day for the next 7-8 months just sizzling my feathers (No offense Doc.) But I am a bird a animal of flight and I dont wish to be bound to a tree!My mind soars outside of me like a dissconcted cord when I am inside.I am always feeling dreadful on the ground or cooped up for hours.

A dark, small raven darted forward and landed next to Longfeather in the blink of an eye. "What is it?"
Longfeather took her away from everyone else. "Ah'm sure ye know aboot he jackdaw that got separated, Haola. Whit I need ye tae do is tae infiltrate the Mossflower Warriors' camp and find optic they have acquired him. Ah will be doin' mah own investigations, but Ah now ye can do that best."
Racla nodded quickly. "No problem Longfeather. I'll be back here at this time tomorrow wih the information you need."
Taking off, she was soon out of sight.
"Time forme tae go tae the mountain of earthcrawlers. "

Sky Warriors of Mossflower Dr. raven spoke before Gustav did, "I think it is important to be passionate about what you do, that is how one achieves success. If chemistry is not what you are passionate about young comrade, you would just be a bother."

Flyers of the Great Land of Southsward Clabb was overlooking operations, new recruits were training and the wounded were being tended to. He stood on the edge of a tall hill overlooking the training skies, following different flyers with his eyes. The Flyers of Southsward were gaining strength.

Branferd runs to Gutav's room.

OOC: hey guys, just giving a heads up, I'm going to be EXTREMLY busy for the next few weeks and won't have a chance to come online as often. I'll do my best though

Sky Warriors of Mossflower Branferd burst into the chamber. The gaurds made a move towards him. "halt! How dare y-"
"its alright! I know him, hes a good beast. What is it Branferd?" said Gustav

Branferd was complelty dumbfounded, He thought for sure something wen't wrong at the fort. "Duh... I just thought that I should check up on you... sir."

Team Mossflower: Balock grinned but stifled a laugh. He thought to himself, "what's this guy doing?"

Sky Warriors of Mossflower Dr. raven stepped in, "it seems this brave warrior is a bit dazed, here, come with me, I know just the treatment!" he led Branferd into a room adjacent to the one they were in, a few moments passed when they returned. Branferd looked much better.

Team North: Longfeather put on  much speed searching for the place the hares had called 'Salamandastron.' Soaring over the forest-covered areas of Mossflower, he headed straight to where the checkpoint was, then passed over each mountain in turn. Quickly he found the fortress that the badger, Spearlady Gorse, had spoken about. He descended slowly, and a hare spotted him from above. The hare quickly dashed inside.
"Guid." As he made his way down, Spearlady Gorse came out looking angry. Longfeather spoke to her, saying, "Ach, why are ye so angry?"
Spearlady Gorse pointed her spear at him. "And just what do you think you're doing here, bird?!"
Longfeather held up his hands wings in innocence. "Ah'm not here tae spy on ye. If Ah had come tae do that, Ye would nae have spotted me! Ah need tae ask ye ah question concerning one of mah flyers."
Spearlady Gorse calmed down slightly. "Well, what is it?"
"Ah have a missin' jackdaw flyin' around somewhere, and ah was wonderin' if ye had seen him.
Spearlady Gorse shook her head. "No, I haven't seen your jackdaw."
Longfeather spread his wings. "Thank ye. I'll trouble ye nae more." and with that, he took off again.
When he was out of ear shot, he said to himself, "Ah hope Racla has got some guid news for me."

Branferd walked back to gustav's room to await his next order.

A few have now passed, Czarmadi and the Winged Beasts of the North have a series of checkpoints and a new base set up in the Western mountains, they never found out what happened to their missing Jackdaw. But it appeared that he wasnt captured due to the fact that no invasions have occured. Nobeast knows about the extra base...

the Sky Warriors are back to full strength, the Jackdaw died in interrogation when he refused to give any information. Gustav has healed and the defenses are back up. However, soon, they will fly to the South and invade the Flyers of Southsward. They will take a route and fly near the Western mountains to get there.

The Flyers of Southsward are also back to full strength and the general is well again. Clabb is now a captain. The Flyers have decided to move onto the defensive, and have a few tricks up their sleeve...

team mossflower: roxas strectched his wings in one of the outposts.


"this is the most boring job ever"

Branfered walks out and stands beside him. "Ah, this is a wonderful morning.

"your looking sharper then usual my friend"

"Is it wrong?" asks Branferd.

"no it isnt i like the change" says roxas.

"Ah." Branfered replies and remains silent for a time.

"well, i'm off to do scouting." roxas says as he flies off.

Team North: Longfeather was still rather upset about not having found Haola. He sat alone in his private quarters, thinking.
Team Mossflower: Balock was doing all he could to help out around the Sky Warriors camp.

"Oh a Okay." Branferd watches Roxas fly off, as he stays put.

roxas flies back about an hour later.

OOC: I was just wondering it's going to be kind of hard to do real battle with three armys (so far we have been doing small fights here and there and hitting and running) So what if, say the Southsward or the north team one of them got sick and some of their nunbers died off, and then they decided to join forces?Just an idea ;)

Sky Warriors of Mossflower: General Gustav Bellator had been with several other officers watching the new recruits on the training field from a private area when a captain hopped over to the general, "General Bellator, Dr. Raven has arrived here and wishes to speak with you immediately."
"thank you captain," turning about, Gustav ordered for the area to be cleared for the two to speak. They watched the new recruits train out of earshot as they spoke.
"General Bellator I've done it! I have finally perfected an effective way to wipe out an entire force! I call it Hyper Accelerated Digestive System Decay (HADSD)." Holding up what appeared to be a bright purple rock, perhaps amethyst, he continued, "if one were to drop this, nothing would happen, but, when water is added, it will slowly vaporize and coat the surrounding area in the chemical, affecting all resources within a given radius. It will appear completely normal and colorless, like ordinary mist. But, the HADSD, when consumed, will very slowly start to decay the digestive system of the consumer. The process eventually kills them, but this occurs after quite a while."
"how long will the chemical 'wait' before taking effect?"
"the whole process takes about moon cycle. It will wait for about two weeks before the consumer realizes something is wrong."
"I am assuming we will have our flyers dropping these? Tell me, what happens if it rains on the flyer's run?"
"that is one of the few risks to an operation with many benefits general."
Several minutes passed before the General spoke.
"... How quickly can a large amount of this be made?"
Dr. raven simply smiled

Sky Warriors of Mossflower: it was early morning when General Gustav Bellator and several flyers took off, each carrying a bag of small rocks. It was night when they entered Southsward. "we must hurry!" Said Gustav, "a storms picking up!" the sky warriors dropped low to avoid being seen and spread far out. Then Gustav gave the order for the first wave to drop their payload. Those on wave 1 ripped open their small bags and the pebbles slowly fell out, covering a large surface area.

This continued for quite a while. It was impossible to cover all of Southsward, however, a fair amount around the main base was covered. Gustav was shocked to see that nobeast had spotted them. They were just about to turn around when the inevitable occurred: thunder

Winged Beasts of the North: The Winged beasts of the North, independent and powerful. Mainly just wanting to be left alone. The army was on the move. Much of the force had been moved to the western mountains base to prepare for an invasion on the Sky Warriors. They would come from the west as the rest descended from the North and they'd take Mossflower. Then continue on to the Flyers of Southsward. Czarmadi was making preparations. A full scale attack from the pound for pound most powerful force in Mossflower country. What they lacked in numbers was made up for in shear power and will. The Winged Beasts of the North were ready
OOC: anybeast feel free to say your characters' experiences at this moment with the Northern force
BIC: Flyers of the Great Land of Southsward: now back to full strength, Clabb was with the general inside a massive castle's top towers, the Flyers were used as a private army for the royalty there in exchange for a base and place to stay. The farmlands around the castle stretched for miles and could support the entire army in luxury. The army was inside due to the storm, resting up for an invasion on the Winged Beasts of the North's base in the far north mountains. They'd cut through the West mountains and sneak around Mossflower and take the Northerners by surprise. Until that day, all they could do was train and wait for the rain to pass. Tomorrow morning would be a busy day of training for the Flyers of the Great Land of Southsward.

BIC:Frightful was one of the last waves she had just dropped her full bag when it started to rain, Hard! Her wings began to droop from the weight of the water in her feathers.Though most of it blew off she still had a good amount that crept in.She looked at the smaller birds in the last wave and saw that they were in worse shape.

Soren dropped into Mossflower with the rest of the stealth unit of owls, and flew straight away to report to Gustav.

Streak the Peregrine was still trying to muster more troops for the Northern league When he spotted a strange mist floating up from the floor of the woods. He descended slowly... Then pulled up fast! There was a dead pigeon! Saved by a pigeon? who would have thought! Streak headed right back to his commanding officer... OOC: Czarmadi?

Sky Warriors of Mossflower Gustav and his troops got out. Desptite this however, he knew they were in trouble, their days were now numbered, as well as his own. Symptoms would start taking place in a couple weeks. his flyers were terrified, he waited until they were well out of the land of Southsward before calling for a halt at the great South Stream.
"everybeast drink as much water as you can! Try to flush it out of your systems." he ordered
regurgitating would do nothing at this point; the chemical was in their blood streams. He knew this wouldn't work, but he had to calm everybeast down and it seemed to work. Afterwords, he had camp set up for the flyers to take a breather.

Winged Beasts of the North
Czarmadi was interviewing new recruits when a captain came in to report there was an allied flyer outside with urgent news. Czarmadi finished the interview and sent them out.
"bring the Flyer in, she said."

Flyers of the Great Land of Southsward The storm had passed, the mist cleared and the Flyers went out to train after a quick breakfast. They were eager to stretch their wings. Nobeast would find out about the poison until much later.

OOC: Is Streak being brought in?

Team North:

Longfeather was sitting just out of the reach of the rain in the entrance to team north HQ, staring out into the rain drenched land. A sense of foreboding hung over him, but he couldn't figure out just what it was.
"Ach," He muttered out loud to himself. "Ah'll bet a guid fly for a few hours will cheer me up." He straightened his wings and soared around the northern mountains.

Streak hurried in to tell Czarmadi the news of the stragne mist' "I was flying near Mossflower edge and I saw a strange mist! I hoved in close and nearly got myself killed, that mist is a poison!"

ooc: i am scouting the areas around mossflower finding new base locations.

BIC: team mossflower: roxas flew around a large area lokking for base locations.

Brandferd got up late and rushed to Gustav's side.

Soren was in great confusion... He smelled something he did not like, and was circling the strange misty vapors... Wondering where his general was.

Winged Beasts of the North: Czarmadi thought Streak had snapped. How can a most kill? Sure poison but it just seemed so far-fetched. "how do you know it's poison?" She said suspiciously, " can you take me to where this happened?"

Sky Warriors of Mossflower Gustav was in his quarters. Absolutely exhausted from his flight, as we're his other fliers. He talked with dr. Raven about what happened when Branferd came in.
"ah yes, Branferd, how can I help ye soldier?" Gustav said

"Sorry I'm Late!" Branferd replies. "I don't need any help at all, just thought you could use some assistance."

BIC: *Frightful steps in* oops am I disturbing something?

OOC: Soren needs guidance to Gustav

Team North: BIC: "Of course I can show you!" Streak was quite agitated and he knew it was really visable,"I'll show right now if you want me to."

Sky Warriors of Mossflower "not at all." said Gustav, "Dr. Raven and I were just about to investigate an area just West of here. Some earth crawlers came to us from a camp, complaining about an adder. We were uninterested until they said there was a dead pigeon nearby what they believe was the adder's lair. Would you care to join us, Branferd and Frightful? We will leave immediately."

OOC: IMPORTANT RP NOTICE! we need more people on the flyers of Southsward side, send me a PM if you're interested!

OOC: the pigeon was killed by the mist, and Soren still doesn't know what is going on.

But none of the chemical was dropped in Mossflower, just Southsward. HOWEVER, we don't know which side the bird was from, it could've been a Southsward bird on a reconnaissance mission who was infected, noticed symptoms, died/stopped for a break, and was attacked by the adder, or something like that.  ;)

OOC:I'm a little confused, did the poisen just about kill our whole army too? I knew it was going to effect us, but I didn't know it would be this bad.

Dragoon had been flying low when the chemical had been dropped, luckily for him he saw it coming and quickly got out of the way, "What is this stuff?" was the young opsreys' first thought. He saw the shards hit the ground (this is a flashback) and when the rain hit, saw it turn to mist! "This must be reported at once!" Was his second thought.

Branferd continued to fly beside Gutsuv.

OOBER IMPORTANT MESSAGE:

OOC: I'm sorry I've been making things a little confusing for you guys, so here's a quick overview of what happened:
1.the poison, no it doesn't kill everybeast in Southsward, simply cripples the army. What I mean by this is that they lost quite a few soldiers, but not all, they're still incredibly strong! the flyers of Southsward, through different reports from brave flyers, now know what happened and that it was the Sky Warriors' doing. The poison, in some, NOT ALL, cases has been taking a quicker effect than thought, but none longer than 2 weeks. Bottom line, The flyers of Southsward are pissed and now are launching a full scale attack on the Sky Warriors with a vengeance. The Winged Beasts of the North have found out about this and are going to invade as well.
IT'S THE FINAL BATTLE BETWEEN ALL THREE FORCES!!!!!!!!
The outcome decides who wins the RP.

Sky Warriors of Mossflower General Gustav Bellator the bald eagle led his forces out of Mossflower Woods and into the Sky above, all of his followers were behind him, "COME SKY WARRIORS, OUR TIME OF BATTLE HAS COME! CHAAAAARRRRRRGGGE!!!!!!!"

All Sides they all hit with a crash that would be heard for miles.

Soren heard it WAYYYY before he saw it..... The time had come! With a screech he hurried forward to join the fight with his stealh unit. (Sky Warriors of Mossflower)

Team North:
Longfeather had one goal and one goal only: Take down Gustav Bellator! He figured that he was one of the few that could in the first place. Flying low near the trees, he searched for the eagle. Longfeather took out a raven that got in his path as he spotted the General. With barely any noise the falcon snuck up behind the eagle and pounced, talons outstretched.

Soren saw what was coming and barged in between Gustav and Longfeather, talons extended (owls are silent so you couldn't have heard him) "Surprise!"

Sky Warriors of Mossflower: It's true, had Soren not swept in, General Gustav Bellator would have surly died. He managed to get away from Longfeather (who is a flyer for the North) and continue fighting, but he was weak. Some poison used to weaken the Flyers of the Great Land of Southsward's army had also taken a toll on him when he was dropping it. He was barely fighting half as hard as he used to, which was still quite a bit, but he was in for it this battle.

Flyers of the Great Land of Southsward Clabb the mallard duck fought with great speed. He had just taken out a Northerner when he was struck by a falcon from Mossflower. Quickly regaining his control, he pulled a sharp turn and managed to reach out with his sharpened steel bill he was wearing, slaying the falcon.

Winged Beasts of the North Czarmadi's fighting went unmatched. She was everywhere at once, clawing and pecking left, right, up and down. It was then she saw a few of her young troops in trouble. They tried to fight back against some of the Sky Warriors but to no avail, they were getting cut down quick. Czarmadi dove in to save them.

NORTH:
Streak raced by Czarmadi, plunging his talons in two of the Mossflower fighters (one slain, one wounded)

South: Dragoon wound up and did a throwing dive... Launching the projectile right at Gustav!

Mossflower:
Soren was circling Longfeather... No one dared interupt the duel (this could be a NOT TO THE DEATH type of duel... I don't want to die OR make anyone mad)

Team North: Longfeather was completely unimpressed by the owl Soren. "Alright, laddie, let's see what ye've got!" Longfeather zoomed forward with an amazing turn of speed and attempted to grab both of Soren's wings at once.

Soren does a quick upthrust with his wings and drags his talons low... Where Longfeathers head will be in a second, "I'm not very impressed neither Falcon!"

Team North:
Longfeather dipped low to avoid Soren's talons. "Ach! Ah have nae need tae kill ye yet! Stay oot o' mah way and ye'll live, owl!" Longfeather zoomed past Soren, putting himself between the owl and Gustav. Now Gustav was his! Longfeather sprinted toward the eagle, putting on a boost of speed that no bird could match to reach his victim!

Soren screached, "Gustav! Swerve!" He hurried to catch up to where he suspected the eagle would go to.

Sky Warriors of Mossflower Soren's cries fell upon deaf ears. Longfeather of the Northern mountains slammed into General Gustav from behind at a break-neck speed. Tumbling through the air, Gustav hit the ground. Hard.
"Gustav! My comrade!" Dr. Raven, (the former general of the Sky Warriors of Mossflower) landed at Gustav's side. Taking one look at him, it was assured.

Gustav Bellator, General of the Sky Warriors of Mossflower, was dead.

Flyers of the Great Land of Southsward Clabb Quickfeather went for a bulky hawk he saw take out three of his fellow flyers. He dove for it, but stopped short. No, attacking from behind was a dishonor to the Flyers of Suthsward. Honor came first. Flying around with great speed, he charged and hit the hawk dead on.
"agh! Who dares strike Captain Czarmadi of the Wnged Beasts of the North!?"

OOC: What in the world are we supposed to do now!!!!? BIC:

Soren was filled with an unspeakable rage. With a shriek that could be heard by all within a mile of the fight he tore his way through the fray... and confronted Gustav's slayer, "You can run!" said the red-eyed owl, "But you can't hide!"

Filled with exuberance over fulfilling his goal, Longfeather laughed at Soren's statement. "Even if Ah had tae run, Ah would have nae need tae hide! Ye'll nevah be able tae catch me, bird!" With that Longfeather zoomed away to Czarmadi and Clabb to help on his general's side, shrieking back at Soren. "If ye really dare, ye'll fight me today!"

Soren, powered by rage, was starting to catch the falcon... even though he was supposedly faster, "You'll eat those words by sunset!"

Longfeather grinned. "We'll see aboot that!" He let Soren catch up until he was almost next to Clabb and then dived under him, hoping that Soren would run into Clabb.

*dives* "Do you think I'm stupid! I've been fightin' for many a year, i'm not going to fall for that old trick!" Soren was right on Longfeathers tail.

Longfeather winked at Soren as he put on an amazing boost of speed, seperating himself from Soren by at least fifteen yards. "Ah danae want tae fight a stupid beast! Ye would have been a sorry beastie had ye not dodged!"

Soren was right after him (you realise your godmoding right? The great speeds these birds reach is only attained in DIVING!)

OOC: hmmmm I have an idea to help you out

Sky Warriors of Mossflower "KRAH KRAH! The raven is here!" a massive black blur pounded into Longfeather, it was the dreaded Dr. Raven

OOC: Have you seen my bio on Longfeather? I made him a supreme flyer! I think flapping his wings to make him go faster is not godmoding!
BIC: Longfeather screeched as Dr. Raven(love that name btw) Ran into him in his blind spot. Struggling to maintain flight, he clawed furiously at the Raven's neck before diving low to the ground toward Czarmadi. Flying slower than he should have, he screeched, "General! Ah Cuid use some help here!"

Soren swooped low, above the falcons head,(owls are silent fliers) and stabbed at Longfeathers back.

Ok just to sort this out, no it's not godmoding, yes owls are silent flyers and falcons are very quick. I can't let one person have one thing and not the other. It needs to be a level playing field.

Longfeather's eyes widened as he saw Czarmadi fall. With his general gone, a mad raven after him, and an owl bent on revenge, Longfeather's nerve deserted him. He gave a shriek of terror as he flapped his way toward the west, hoping to find shelter in Salamandastron. However, as soon as he reached the forest a flurry of dark zoomed toward him. Balock Cadle! Balock had been re-equipped with spiked helmet and daggered wings. Before Longfeather could blink Balock had cut deep across both wings. As he fell to the  ground, Balock rammed headfirst into the falcon, impaling him through the heart. The dead falcon left behind, Balock turned to Dr. Raven and Soren. "Gustav has been avenged, but there's still more fighting to be done! Come on!"

BIC: Flyers of the Great Land of Southsward Clabb was exhausted, but fought on, using his youthful strength to the limits. He fought courageously, like every bird in those forsaken skies. However, the Flyers of Southsward were losing numbers!
"regroup!" Yelled the general of the Southsward army

Narrator (for lack of a better word) The end of the battle was looming in the future, with the Southsward army forced to regroup, and the Sky Warriors and Winged Beasts of the North without operating generals, it is still anybeasts' battle!

Streak was to wounded to fight any longer, he was sitting on the forest floor watching the fight above.


Dragoon the ospreyhad used all his needles, and was fighting with all his heart......," Sousthsward. It is falling" He thought to himself.

Branferd holds his bow and arrow with his webbed toes, thou not perfectly, but he is trying.

He aims at the enemy.

Team Mossflower:
Balock felt very brave after killing the creature that killed Gustav, and he felt like he could take on anybody. destroying a goose (not Branferd :p) with his armed talons, he killed anyone that got in his way. Nothing could stop him!

Dragoon noted Balock's position and made his way over to Raven...

OOC: Balock is a raven, but....
Balock noted Dragoon following him. He kept a weather eye on him as he continued fighting.

"Give me a signal." Branferd asks.

Dragoon dropped low under the battle and shot up on Balock's blind side...

Flyers of the Great Land if Southsward it wasn't looking good, both sides were preventing the Flyers of Southsward from regrouping. Clabb fought on, but his instinct kept telling him throughout: it's finished..

Winged Beasts of the North a huge Red kite was ripping through the Mossflower ranks like chaff among the wind. His name was Gromp the great. No single bird could fly in his way!

Sky Warriors of Mossflower Dr. Raven had taken temporary command of the battle, he had the Winged Beasts on the ropes when Gromp the Great came through. Causing the Flyers of Southsward to fight with renewed strength.
"Dr. Raven sir! We need support taking down the big guy! There's not enough of us!!"
Dr. Raven looked from his perch on a hidden branch, only officers knew where he was. From here, he could command in safety. He thought for a brief moment, then he hatched an idea he knew wouldn't fail...
"officer Firewing," he said to a bird next to him, "do you know how ants can take down an adder?"
"sir?"
"hehe," Dr. Raven gave a seemingly friendly chuckle, "I'll show ye comrade, send in the sky ants!" he ordered

A short moment later, Mossflower released one of its deadly weapons. A huge mass of hummingbirds, possibly the most agile birds in the world for their ability to fly in all directions, rushed out of the woods, each with a sturdy steel tipped beak capable of repeated stabbing.

*Ping*
Balock looked at the needle that had bounced off of his armored talons. His eyes darkened as he spotted Dragoon. "You wanna die?!" Balock folded his wings and dove straight at Dragoon, spiked helmet forward.

OOC: i said i'm out of needles silly! BIC:

Dragoon had witnessed this tactic earlier, he barrel rolled so Balock came right over him.... And raked at the exposed belly with his metal talons.

Balock winced with pain as scratches formed all over his belly. He pulled out of his dive and attacked Dragoon with both of his daggered wings, aiming directly for Dragoon's wings.

Dragoon did the fastest power thrust in his life... and escaped with niches in his legs. The Osprey de-tached one of his battle claws and started whirling them at an insane speed and quickly advanced on the Raven.

Balock realized that trying to attack the oprey with that weapon would be foolish... unless he had the same weapon. He flew away for a short time. Detaching his own metal claws, he started swinging them, building momentum as he headed for Dragoon again.

Flyers of the Great Land of Southsward Clabb saw the battle between Balock and dragoon, he dove into the battle picking a random bird to attack

Winged Beasts of the North Gromp the Great roared in pain, it felt like a million hornets were stinging him! He swatted left and right with his massive wings, but despite his efforts, no significant damage was done on the sky ants. Mad with rage, he did all he could, "Winged Beasts, help me!"

Banferd had to open fire some time...When one of the enemy birds came at him, He released his aim.

The Osprey had taken advantage of the short period of time he had and dived from the direction of sun, claws now a blur, he pulled out of the dive at point blank swung forward with the whizzing metal messenger of death, "For Southswaaaaaard!"

Balock realized he was not as skilled as the osprey. He dodged Dragoon's attacks just in time, slipped the claws back on, and ran away from Dragoon.

OOC: Boy, this is a major Deja vu moment.

Flyers of the Great land of Southsward Branferds arrow hit Clabb with his deadly accuracy. The mallard duck went down without a sound.

OOC: You better believe it! I never got my revenge on Longfeather so I think I will get it on Balock instead!  ;D BIC:

"Sorry!!!!!" Branferd apologizes, but the battle must carry on and he knows what's right.

Dragoon was startled at first, then relaxed seeing how wounded Streak was, "It does appear so..." He looked at the Raven he had just viciously attacked (never said he was dead!) , "I wonder why we have to fight each other?"

Sky Warriors of Mossflower Dr. Raven nodded in approval, the massive bird Gromp the Great was dead and the Sky Warriors now had the upper hand in the battle!

Soren was trying to find the reminents of his stealh force so they could find the leaders of the other groups and end this battle once and for all!

Flyers of the Great Land of Southsward "This is it," said the general, "this is the end of my empire." he looked around at his slain. The battle was officially over and the Sky Warriors of Mossflower had won.
"C'mon troops! Here's another!" a soldier of one of the late Gustav's eagle squadron found the general with a few other Sky Warriors.
"and with one last charge, I die... FOR SOUTHSWAAAAARD!!!!!!!!"
He charged the group, knowing he'd be overwhelmed and killed

Winged Beasts of the North Czarmadi awoke with a start, she was alive! She laid there for a while, too weak to move. Hearing a rustling noise, she looked up to see one of her fellow Northerners. "Please!" she said, "please help me!"
"Captain Czarmadi, you're alive!" the bird flew over but stopped short when a rustling noise was heard. The bird looked up, clearly something was behind Czarmadi.
"I.... I'm sorry captain..... I can't help you... Goodbye." with this he flew off.
"No, NO! Where are you going!?"
"SsssssSSSSSSSSS"
Czarmadi rolled over and saw her fate in the eyes of an adder.
"sssssssSsSSSSSSSSS"

Sky Warriors of Mossflower Dr. Raven was in the infirmiry. The battle was long over, but so much was to be done. He worked with the others to get a clean-up plan started from inside the infirmiry, but he was so weak from the fight, he could hardly concentrate. It was clear to everybeast the Raven would not leave the room alive.

EPILOGUE with the war of the skies officially over, and the sky warriors victorious, peace was once again restored.
The Flyers of the Great Land of Southsward we're completely wiped out. Nothing remains of them other than a few tales passed down here and there among travelers.
The Sky Warriors of Mossflower continued to prosper for a while. However, many birds left the empire. After Dr. Raven, general Gustav, and Balock passed, a new leader took the place as leader of the Sky Warriors and renamed the group the "Sparra" finding a new home in Redwall abbey.
The Northern mountains still produces its massive birds of unmeasurable strength, despite the fact the Winged Beasts are no more.

Even though the War of the Skies was over, the legend has found a way to live on. It is still told today at feasts or other special gatherings. And now you know the tale too,
