Title: Most Evil Villain
Post by: ILoveMTW on April 16, 2012, 09:32:46 PM
All of the villains in the Redwall Series are pretty bad, but which one is the worst in your opinion? I particularly didn't like Tsarmina. The way she wanted to torture the woodlanders and hold them in her prisons - children separated from their parents and whatnot - was absolutely devious. She was pure evil in my opinion.

Swartt. I mean, I know villains are supposed to be heartless monsters but, dude, your wife just died having your kid and you're all like "Meh." That's just... not cool.

Gabool because he was absolutely insane.  Remember how he thought one of his captains was Graypatch so he set a scorpion loose on him?

I've not read the book that Gabool is from but from what I've heard I'd say him.

Gabool and Razzid Wearat. Gabool threw one of his captains to a scorpion, and Razzid tortured Jum Gurdy's uncle to death. :o

Feagho and Tsarmina were the most evil for me. They both liked to toture creatures, not to mention Feragho skinned them!

I hate "Badrang". I think he is the worst and ugliest villain in the Redwall. ;)

Clunny was probably most evil, but then again you have Slagar and Tsarmina.... or the there's Badrang.

I think BJ meant for them all to be equally evil, remember there's really only one villain to every book.
If all the villains of Redwall were put in one book, it would be easier to compare them.  ;)

I still say Slagar was the most evil. He had a weapon that brought the slaves down to their knees.

Well, when I first read Matthais, Malkariss always scared me the most, I guess because I knew he existed but didn't see him till near the end of the book...he was pretty evil too, having slavers and slaves...but I guess he made others do his dirty work, so I'd say Tsarmina, Vilaya (she backstabbed the one who saved her life! I forget the name though), Ungatt Trunn, Ferhago, or Cluny  were the evilest.
Oh wait, Gulo too!

Personally I often cheer for the bad guys in these books. Like poor cluny ; all he wanted was a small abbey and he tried so hard to get it! He definetly deserved it by the end.

There are some I didnt like though. Like captain slipp and badrang

Oh yes and pitru the lil wildcat in rhulain

Cluny the Scourge wins this, hands-down. Brian Jacques designed him to be the most evil and scariest creature in Mossflower. And he was so powerful that it took trickery to kill him.

Gulo was pretty grusom, but he wasn't the most evil in my opinion.

Wearets and other weird creatures like that are probublt seen as the most evil creatures in most peoples eyes because they are such strange creatures.
