DOCTOR: How is that news to anyone?

-Sometime later, the second mate was unexpectedly rescued by the subplot, which had been trailing a bit behind the boat (and the plot). The whole story moved along.

That was actually pretty awesome... ;D

This song has been stuck in my head for the entire day... :'( ;D
Dreams, dreams are untapped and writhing. How much more real are dreams than that paltry existence which we now call reality? How shall we ascend to that which humanity is destined? By mastering the dreamworld of course. That is how, my pupils, that is how.

I just met this fascist white supremacist guy. Literally 5 minutes ago, we had this whole big argument about government power and liberty and human dignity. It was the strangest thing I have ever debated in my life. And, I think, the most unsettling. Zero ethical pretensions at all.

Seriously, who let him in?

Hard question Del. Those two are my favorite folk singers (in Europe)

Unfortunately. But at BYU, of all places, you would think it would be anathema! I suppose not everyone can be orthodox, but this seems like the wrong way from orthodoxy to head out. At least liberal Mormons have some theological foundation on which to base their views.

Honestly, I'm not surprised. I don't know why I'm not surprised, but I'm not. :P

I think college is just a very politicized environment right now, and the two most common political extremes are the alt-right and full-on SJW. The kind of views and opinions being expressed right now are taking things to the greatest extreme. Since Utah is largely conservative and the alt-right has gotten a foothold in the environment I wouldn't be surprised to meet a few white supremacists. In fact, there is one rather vocal and somewhat well-known leader in the white supremacist alt-right who happens to be a homeschooling, Mormon mother of 6 based in Utah. It kind of freaks me out, to be honest. The average Mormon is violently opposed to such ideas, but I don't think it's altogether uncommon to encounter some people of those views.

Right, that one person on social media who attracts a lot of attention. Anybody who is even basically competent in church doctrine knows its baloney and completely unsupportable. I've met Mormon anarchists, Mormon communists... They all had actual doctrinal support (even if not very good support). But, never Mormon fascists before now. Its simply contradictory.

Most likely they've carefully selected parts of doctrine that they can interpret to be in their favor and ignored the parts that completely contradict their views. In fact, from what I've seen they've taken scriptures and quotes from general authorities and looked at them with a skewed and twisted perspective to find support for their views where there is none.
