OOC: Alright lets start.
BIC:
A howling wind had set in chilling the two combatants to the bone. A thin layer of snow crunched underpaw as the two moved closer swords still in their scabbards and paws resting on the hilts. The small space on the Cliffside was hardly the best place to fight. The slippery snow and freezing wind threatening to throw them into the abyss miles below.
Pulling his sword from its scabbard the fox by the name of Col spat on the thin rapier blade and went into the En Guard stance, his free paw held against his side ready to pull a long sax knife from its sheath.
"No quick escape from here, we'll have to end this first." He laughed flicking his sword making it hum though the air.
Fardan smiled recklessly. "Let's."
Like lightening, the wildcat lashed out with his this rapier, just missing Col. Taking it in his stride, Fardan lashed out with his dirk toward the fox's side. "Sssssss'death!"
With ease Col brought the tough sax knife around stopping the dirk, thrusting forward with the rapier aiming for the cats leg. All the while grinning like a mouse among cheese.
Fardan pulled his leg away in the nick of time, only getting a scratch on the thigh. He stood up and backed away, rapier point flickering. "Fox, you should have never infringed on this land."
With out warning, Fardan dropped on all fours and scuttled past Col. When behnd the fox's back, He sprag up and thrust at the fox.
Col spun to face Fardan and jumped to avoid the rapier point but not quick enough. The sword nicking his leg just above the thigh, making Col suck in air in pain. Retaliating quickly he swiped downward with the rapier at the same time slashing upward with the sax.
Fardan pulled back, the tip of the sax nicking his ear. Pinching the wound, the cat smiled. "Better luck next time, fox."
Fardan had swung his rapier forward as he was talking, aiming for the fox's midriff.
Col growled in annoyance sidestepping Fardan's rapier thrust and slashing with the basket hilt rapier to ward off any attacks.
"No matter, I'll get you next time." Col hissed back kicking out a footpaw hoping too knock the cats paws out from underneath him while stabbing furiously with the knife.
Fardan hopped up to a small ledge, pointing his sword down at the fox. "Come and get me, scum!"
OOC: This can mean we can add danger to the fight with even higher elevation.
OOC: okay sure.
BIC: "Coward fight me." Col roared holding the sword above his head he scrambled up after the cat suddenly grabbing a rock and throwing it at Fardan's head.
Pinggg! The rock bounced off of the dirk blade as Fardan cringed, his paw stinging from the impact. He stood up, unwittingly letting a second rock bounce off his footpaw. He hissed in fustration and leaped on Col, rapier point pointed down.
OOC:sorry for the slight PP.
OOC: Its cool.
Col barked in surprise as the cat landed on him causing him to fall onto his back into the icy snow. The long rapier was useless in such close quarters, he stabbed upward franticly with sax while kicking at Fardan hoping to knock the cat off.
The cat yelped in pain as the sax pierced his shoulder. Backing off, Fardan leveled his rapier at Col. "Take a step closer and you'll end your pitiful life."
Col grinned victoriously as he rolled away readjusting his rapier and returning the sax knife to it sheath he took up the ready stance.
"We'll see kitty." Col lunged forward the rapier in one paw as he made a slight cut left hoping to put a cut along Fardan's chest.
OOC: Sorry I haven't posted in a bit.
BIC: Fardan dodged the strike and swung down with the dirk, hoping to cut the sax sheath (and knife) from Col's belt.
Col saw the dirk and thinking it would miss its mark advanced with the rapier. The dirk cut though the belt taking with it a large hunk of fur and flesh.
Sucking in breath Col backed away packing snow and mud into the wound to staunch the heavy bleeding moaning softly holding his sword up to ward off any attacks. The knife lay at Fardan's feet glistening red from its masters blood.
Fardan backed off, in a defensive position. Better to let the fox come to him instead of being attacked. He tucked the bloody dirk into his belt and toom up the en guard postion.
Seeing his opponent wait Col grabbed the chance to tie a makeshift bandage around his waist. "Alright kitty your better then I thought but now things will be different." Scooping up a mass of rocks and mud he hurled it at the face of Fardan before lunging with the rapier.
The stuff was blinding. Faradn was it coming and closed his eyes, but the mud and dirt covered his nostrils and ears. With faint sounds ringing in his ears, the cat threw himself on the ground and kicked with his feet, attempting to propel himself past Col with his feet.
OOC: YOu can inflict minor damage to him here, if you want.
Hissing with rage Col kicked out as Fardan passed his footpaw connecting with the cats face. Seeing his chance while the cat recovered from the kick Col swiped up the sax knife from where it still lay holding it in his paw. Hoping to catch the cat while he was down Col lunged with the rapier.
"Taste steel!"
The blade sheared off a large part of fur, and a small piece of flesh. Gritting his teeth, Fardan leapt at Col, rapier at the ready. "YOu can't live forever, fox!"
"And neither can you." Col retorted slashing with the sword he lunged again brining his recently returned knife around cutting in from the left at break-neck speed.
Fardan only managed to dodge a blade a little. He growled in pain as the blade slashed his front right. Summoning up his energy, he swung the rapier and dirk in a crossing arc toward Col.
Col brought the rapier around tightening his grip at the last second stopping both rapier and dirk cold. Pulling back Col shook out his arm which was numbed by the blow. Throwing caution to the wind he charged slashing with both knife and sword.
Fardan ducked the blades and dashed forward, attempting to head butt Col.
OOC: That's a wierd move, innit it.
OOC: Ya kinda strange.
BIC: Col could respond to the attack quick enough receiving the blow full to the chin. Stars flashed in his eyes as he staggered away spitting out blood and a few teeth. Angrily he attacked again stabbing with the rapier and knife even kicking with his footpaws.

OOC: Will theey die soon? Iddon't know, wadda you think?
OOC: Why do you want them to die so soon? Yes we can end it if you want.
OOC: Oh no, I'll keep on going.
BIC: The blade points only hit Fardan's limbs, as he used his own blades to parry the fox's trusts. Sheathing his dirk, Fardan Happedback a few paces, in the en guard position.
With a clash of steel Col advanced with quick calculated attacks jabbing for Fardan's face then legs hoping to drive the cat back. Stepping lightly he wove a tight circle the sword flashing like it had a life of its own the sax knife held at the ready in case it was needed.
Stepping forward suddenly he lunged sword aimed for the cats heart.
The blade just managed to peirce the skin before Fardan hoppedback, the blade drawing out of him. He desperately used his own blades to parry the strikes at his face, but he sustained small nicks as scratches. Taking a few seconds to recover, he feintedd t the left, then swung with his rapier at te foxes right.
Col saw the blow coming and swung to parry it, the injury in his side made him double up effectively dodging most of the swing. The rapier cut off most of his right ear leaving a bleeding stump.
"Aaaagh! Curse you cat, I'll gut yer." With his ear bleeding profusely he attacked with the sax knife slashing towards Fardan's head.
The blade scratched Fardan's throat. His left paw came up, and he wiped the blood from the long, shallow cut. Purring in antcipation, he crouched low, then sprung up, the dirk blade swinging in a great upward thrust.
Col ducked quickly he could hear the blade whistling past brushing some of the fur on his head. As Fardan twisted Col lunged forward with the sax aiming for the center of the cat's chest.
Fardan sidestepped the thrust and out his dirk, the left side of the blade level with the fox's midriff.
Col dodged right raising the rapier to retaliate when he slipped on the ice. With a yelp of surprise he fell heavily hitting his head hard. Stars flashed in his vision, knowing he was in trouble Col slashed wildly while pushing himself away from Fardan.
Fardan himself needed a reprieve; he backed off, ready for the fox t make a move. He gasped for breath as he watched Col.
Slowly Col picked himself up glad for the quick break from the fighting. Wiping mud from his coat and fur he cleaned blood and water from his sword and knife before readying them again.
"You ready?" He asked.
"But of course, Mr. Todd. Whenever you're ready, brushtail."
"Good." Col said simply before attacking. His blade wove a pattern though the air, first stabbing high then low then suddenly swiping with the sax hoping that one of the blows would catch the cat of guard.
Fardan was hard ppressed to parry and counterthrust the stabs Col threw at him. While doing do, the sax knife scraped his chest. Fardan ressted the urge to look down and continued counterattacking. With a swipe of the rapier, Fardan tried to open Col's midriff.
Fardan's blade left a long bloody slash across Col's chest. The wound stung but Col ignored the pain that seemed to come from every inch of his body. Recklessly he flung himself forward slashing downwards towards the cats head with the rapier.
Fardan clapped his left paw against what was now an earstump. Growling at Col, he attmepted to launch him self from a bove, but just before his hind paws left the ground he dropped to the ground and stapped at Col with the dirk.
Col grunted in surprise as the dirk struck out, both his blades had been held up to block the blow from above. With only one way to go to avoid the blade Col lurched back. He landed on nothing but air as he slipped over the edge. A scream of panic ripped from his throat as he drove the sax knife into the ice making an effective paw hold. Col found himself hanging by the hilt of his sax knife over a sheer cliff. He watched as his rapier flashed and fell, twirling onto the rocks far below. He scrabbled desperately trying to pull himself over the edge grabbing a anything that might give him a paw hold.
Fardan backed away. He made no effort to help the fox, but he too threw his rapier over the edge. It was lost forever to the mists. He yelled to the fox over the howling wind. "Well, now we're even. It would be cowardly to strike you down if your position. Make your way up, and we'll fight with our knives."
Col glared at the cat, angry he had been caught in a weakened state. Struggling furiously he pulled himself onto the cliff side pulling his knife up with him. For a moment he lay panting on the edge. With a sudden twist Col leaped at his enemy, the long knife flashing. The fox stabbed at the cats side with all the speed he could muster.
Fardan barely managed to deflect the blade, forgeting it was a dirk he held, not the longer bladed rapier. As it was, he only sustained a minor scratch. It would, however, irritate him for timess to come. Fardan, knowing he was on the disadvantage becasue of his minor inexperience with the dirk, backed of, crouhing low and holding the dirk blade in front.
OOC: Maybe we could find a way to get new weapons, if you want...
OOC: Sorry totally forgot about this, As for new weapons we could try but I don't no where you would find weapons on the cliff edge unless you mean sticks and rocks.
IC: Col circled slowly thrusting with the sax knife. He saw easily enough that the dirk was slightly longer then the sax but not enough to change the fight. He also noticed the cat seemed unsure pulling back rather then attacking. Col used this to his advantage feinting to the left then attacking suddenly. He stabbed with the sax while using his other paw trying to grab the cats dirk paw.
Fardan dodged the stab but completely forgot the fox's other paw. He was about to swing with his own weapon when he relaized he couldn't move his paw very well. With a quick glance he assesed the situation and promptly delivered a uppercut to Col's jaw.
The punch hit Col square in the face blackening one eye. Ignoring it for now he tightened his grip on his sax and plunged it towards Fardan's unprotected throat. Pulling the dirk downwards with his other paw to limit its use.
The blade only grazed the side of Fardan's neck (he had flicked his head to one side), but it was enough to make the wildcat jerk backwards.
Col was jerked forward by the cats sudden back step. Regaining his balance he kicked out at Fardan's legs hoping to knock the cat to the ground.
OOC: I'm gonna say Col released his grip, Fardan can't fight for much longer with only one paw.
BIC: Fardan fell on his back. He rolled t the right, hoping deperately the fox wouldn't stap him. He was a sitting duck.
Seeing his opponent on the ground Col sprang forward sax at the ready. He struggled to catch the cat stabbing downwards furiously.
Fardan crouched, moving from side as he avoided the stabbing thrusts. He suddenly mmoved forward, out of stabbing range, and sprang up, his dirk at the ready.
Sandpaw rushed him sax knife flashing as he drove forward. Throwing everything into the charge Col raced forward leaping towards the cat sax first hoping to knock Fardan over with the wild charge.
Fardan swng the dirk from his right with both paws on the hilt. The blade collided with that of Col's sax. Fardan had hoped to drive the sax off course, but he had miscalculated the force of his blow! As the fox sped by, Fardan was seemingly puched by an invisible force to the ground at his right. He slid across the packed snow. Toward the cliff face.
The wildcat rolled over and dug his dirk in. Exerting his considerable strength, he hauled himself uprigh, gasping for breath. He faced Col, circling so his back was no longer to the void behind him.
Slipping from his headlong dash Col slid across the ice smashing into some rocks. Staggering upright he turned to face Fardan sax knife raised. Seeing some smaller stones Col picked one up hurling it towards the cat before charging thrusting with the knife.
Fardan skipped to one side, letting the rock fly harmlessly by. He held the knife point forward, waiting for Col's next move.
OOC: I think this has gone on long enough are you ready to end it?
BIC: Col circled slowly unwilling to attack, his entire body ached from wounds and bruises. His ear bled steadily leaving a red line on his face, he felt weak and tired he knew he couldn't keep this up for much longer. If he wanted to win he would have to win soon.
He continued to circle the cat waiting for an opening to show itself.
OOC: How so? They wrestle, then one of them gets their weapon and stabs the other?
OOC: Col is going to go over the edge. ;)
OOC: Ok. Have him thrust at Fardan, the cat sidesteps and Col gos over.
OOC: All righty here goes, just have Fardan Sidestep I'll do the rest.
BIC: A slight quiver in the cat's step alerted Col to a desperate solution to the duel. The quiver of his eyes and a slight shifting in his paw's were the only warning to the sudden furious attack.
Scattering snow and ice Col lunged faster then he had yet his sax knife raised and ready to plunge into Fardan's chest. A wild yell ripped from his throat as he attacked.
"Yaaaaarreeeeee!"
Fardan waited until the last moment, then leapt to one side and watched the fox barrel past him.
With a yelp of dismay Col realized Fardan had his back to the cliff edge. Unable to stop Col skidded of the edge of the cliff. For a moment he seemed to hang in space frozen in time then he fell. No cry came from his throat, to numbed with shock by the wild plunge.
He fell... and he fell.... and he fell until the ground came up halting the downward plunge suddenly. Beside the broken body lay the hilts of the two rapiers the blades shattered and broken.
Col the fox was dead.
Fardan stared distastefullt down at the body. Then he limped off, nursing the many wounds he had sustained in the fight.
It was done.
OOC: Alright good fight, I'll PM Brookskimmer and have her move it to completed duels.
*Preforms a fancy bow* Pleasure battling you sir.
OOC: Oh no, the pleasure's mine.
