I did this piece for a class at my art college actually, we were assigned to illustrate an imagined cover of one of our favorite books, so I knew had to do 'Taggerung'. I almost did Marlfox but I love Tagg's character so much I couldn't resist. :) I figured that some fellow Redwall fans would appreciate the fan art so I thought I'd share. I consider this my tribute to the wonderful author Brian Jacques, rest his soul. Without him my childhood would have never been the same. This was painted digitally in Adobe Photoshop CS5.5.

O_______________o
WOW
Wow, you actually drew it? How did you do it? It's awesome!! :o
Thank you very much! :) I had my boyfriend pose for me to get the general idea of the pose, then I spent a good deal of time turning human anatomy into otter anatomy, then I moved onto the character design of Tagg as he is in my mind. After I was done with the finished drawing I painted it digitally.
:)
Yay otters! He's my favorite character out of all of the books.
figured XD
This is wonderful! I love the water, that must have taken a while to do. Do you have an online gallery or any other work to show us? I know I'd love to see it.
I agree with Lily, the water details are awesome, and I think you arer an incredible artist! Thanks so much for letting us see this! :)

Well, towards the end of the books, then Hoarg and the others can't even recognize him as an otter because of all the tattoos, so I always imagined him as having that many.
:o OH WOW!!!!
PLEASE tell me you have more of that awesome artwork somewhere we can see!
That is fantastic. Yes, yes, I'd love to see more of your work, Tagg. =D
Tagg has a website. I looked at it, and I like the art. I like it a lot. :)
What's the link to the site?!?! :o
*facepalm* Hahaha! Of course, it's listed on his/her profile.

Wow. :o I just looked at your website. I was blown away by the Tagg drawing, but my mind was blown at your art on that site! Incredible work! I'd give anything to do art like that! Great work. :)
You're amazing! I wish I could draw like that! I'm in a Drawing Class now but I suck. My cousin is really good though. Again... AWESOME! ;D ;D

my only tweaking of your creation that would fit my minds creation of him would be to skip the little due-rag business... they did it at least on my copy of the book and it is never mentioned in the book and isn't conducive to swimming with it...
OK. Yea that's pretty good.
That is fantastic, and i'm glad you did Tagg (he is one of my favorites too). I cant believe that you drew that. It is amazing.
I don't remember the knife being curved ;D Yea I know. picky picky picky ;D
That is great.... amazing even!!
Bump!!! Oops fallen of my chair :D
epicepicepicepic
The only thing is that Tagg really only had a bunch of facial tattoos, not all over his body, but other than that it's really good!
Very Impressive. Most excellent. I for one, am a good artist everyone says but, I take my hat off to you.
That's great! I just didn't imagine so many tatoos.
Hmmmmm...that is amazing, except for the fact that there are way too many tattoos.
Aww, there was me thinking we had another new artist in our midst... but 'tis from 2012. Oh well, still a great and most detailed piece. Seeing from their website they've progressed even further since - so much detail! :)
Hoooooooly cow. :o That's so cool!
Very cool!
::::) realy cool. Did taggerung have full body tattos?
I don't think he did, but still, that is awesome!
That is absolutely awesome!!! :D
Still is awesome. I actually saw that when sorting through Google images a few weeks ago.
