My least favorite book. Mariel's journey to Terramort was, IMO very boring. The main villain, Gabool the Wild was in the book for so little that at points, I forgot he existed. Tarquin L. Woodsorrel (curse his name) is my least favorite hare and Rawnblade WIdestripe was just so bland. I felt that there was absolutely no need for Salamandastron to be in this book. Why is Salamandastron in this book!? Graypatch's death was one of the worst in the series, killed by Oak Tom who just appered out of nowhere at the end of the book. But there were some good parts to the book. Mariel and Dandin are good protagonists, I liked Simeon, Mellus and pretty much all the Redwallers (except for Treerose). The Long Patrol hares were great and Graypatch sieging redwall was an awesome stotyline.
