Bow and Arrows are more effective for killing and long range shots.
Sling and stone is more of a knock out tactic and can use to whack the enemy/opponent at close range. I think it is also quicker to reload.

I like the bow better. But it doesn't fit otters that much.
Fun. is a fantastic band.
