I remember many times in the books of Redwall when I found myself laughing or something else, sometimes very hard on the former. Redwall has many great moments of valor, strength, truth and friendship, with some of the greatest written battles and conflicts, as well as peaceful moments, ever.
Most of the best parts that I can name in my experience are ones returning to mention the facts about the Redwall universe. Also "Defining moments" as I would call them, which take up times when a hero or villain makes his will set in destiny for him or herself. Redwall is truly an awesome series. Filled with so much wonderful advenutre and journey, it's a series I often return to visit again.
So, what's everyone's favorite moments of Redwall?
When Laterose (i.e Rose) died, I remember crying. I loved that they planted a rose bush to commemorate her death.
I have two favorite moments. The first one being when Matthias killed Asmodeus (so epic). My second favorite moment is the fight between Rakkety Tam and Gulo.
The 'Flurgy Twinj' scam that Keyla comes up with in 'Martin The Warrior' always makes me laugh when I think of it (hence my nickname).
Also Lord Brocktree saying that '1 Badger Lord carries 200 votes and his sword carries another 100' when there was a possibility his descision was going to be overruled by the small army he was leading. :D
Baby Dumble and Mr. Thug! Need I say more?

Baby Dumble and Mr. Thug! Need I say more?
Harharhar!
Yeah, I loved those two so much!
I feel the same way when I read the pages of the great warriors.
There a scene in which a vermin assassin is trying to pick off a badger lord for his master. He's climbing in through a window of Salamandastron, poisoned knife in hand, when two biscuits knock the wraith-like vermin from his perch. The cakes were thrown by two rambunctious young creatures (either otters or hares), who were aiming for the badger, who ducked, thus ending a petty fight, all in jest of course, among the good animals of the story. The thin, shadowy assassin tumbles from a great height to rocks below, but an accidental stab from the poisoned knife renders him lifeless before he hits the ground. There are Redwall gurus who would have my head for not knowing the details on this one, but I think we can all agree on Jacques' talent for making absurd coincidence seem triumphant--even more proof of his brilliance as a writer.

You're thinking of the scene with this guy (http://redwall.wikia.com/wiki/The_Wraith).
Mine is when Dotti is fighting King Bucko
So I was just thinking back to when Doomwyte was about to come out and it was right around my birthday and I was begging my Mom to let me pre-order it and she wouldn't let me and I was so upset but then on my birthday I got a package from my Grandma and she bought Doomwyte for me, I started jumping around in excitement and then opened it to find that it was signed and I started crying, I don't know why, I guess I was just so happy. Now that book is one of my most prized possessions.
@Matthias720: Thank you so much!! I knew someone would know what I was rambling on about...now I'm going to have to read Outcast of Redwall all over again.
Lovely story Spring Breeze
I have a signed Lord Brocktree I found it in a second hand shop for 50p
When the people found out it was signed they said I was going to have to pay an extra £20
But I said i'd give them a £5 and they said I might as well get it for 50p
I remember crying when *spoiler* Rose died in Martin the Warrior. I think I might of pretended to be sick so I could read Eulalia once, maybe not... Oh well, still a cool story.
Hon Rosie's ridiculous laugh. ;D
I enjoyed just about any scene with Crumdun in it during the Rogue Crew.
I like all the funny moments. Like when Gonff was talking to the haremaids.
"Is she pretty?"
"Very pretty?"
"Tell us mister Gonff, tell us!"
Also like it when Rose's brother help the slaves to escape.
My favorite moment is when Hon Rosie turns out to not be dead in the bellmaker. This is because it is a funny, funny moment and I cry every time I read about her "death". This makes all happy in my world and brings me from the depths of despair after she "dies". I also like when Mariel finds out that her father is not dead.

That's not The Bellmaker, that's Mariel of Redwall.
Oh! Here's another good one - in Mossflower, when Martin/Dinny/Gonff/Log a Log meet Trubbs/Wother/Ffring for the first time, at one point Martin asks how they got somewhere, and they respond:
"Oh, this way and that, old chap."
"Dodge and weave, y'know."
"How the dickens to we ever get anywhere?"
I will always remember these lines because they still make me giggle. 8D
I think my fave moment is *spoiler alert* when Fatch dies to save Rufe Brush in the Bellmaker. I also like all the funny moments. :)
There has been many times when I've almost cried when a warrior dies or I almost laugh my head off when something really funny happens. There are soooo many times when things like that happen in the books!! (And there are so many books I can't think of them all :P)
Found another scene I love - in the beginning of Eulalia!, Maudie is hauled up to answer to the badger lord with her head stuffed in a flour sack. I always laugh when the Thwirl makes his report, especially when he does it in the audiobook. Ohmygawsh I love him. :D
I am on a big Eulalia kick today for some reason.
I have to go with a sad one hear, because I just read it a short while ago: (SPOILER):
Bragoon and Saro's final battle in Loamhedge, as they are talking to each other on the edge of the abyss after defeating the Wearet crew: "Gone to sunny slopes an' quiet streams..." Gah, makes me bust out crying every time... :'(
"cowards die a thousand times, a warrior only dies once. The spirits of all you have slain are watching you, Vilu Daskar, and they will rest in peace now that your time has come. You must die as you have lived, a coward to the last!"
-Luke the warrior
By far my favorite redwall moment!
That and when on green isle, when kolun the otter and sergeant o'cragg were talking
o'cragg: ho, there's h'a few more'n just two of us Missy. Ye'll see for yore self. Yore to follow me'n the cap'n to a meetin' with h'our commandin' offisah, major frunk.
kolun: we're to follow you, eh? Says who?
o'cragg: h'i believe 'er name h'is Rhulain, sah!
Then there's a huge cheer from the otter clans, gives me a chill every time

Yes! I loved, loved, loooved the scene where the otters met Tiria for the first time. So happy. ;D
I love the bit in Marlfox where Cregga picks up Florian and dumps him in the actor's cart adn kicks it off in the direction of the Abbey. hahaha!
:D

yeah. That was sooo sad. I was really disappointed. When someone in Redwall dies that I love, it's like a punch in the stomach. I never cry, though. Only sad moves make me cry.

yes. I like it when Martin and Dinny say, "well, she's certainly prettier than Gonff."
Love it too when Rose's brother Brome yodels. "I'm dying of fever!"
One of the saddest moments for me is when *spoiler* Russa Nodrey dies. I love how her stick lives on after her.
I also love many funny parts. I could not even begin to name them all.

I really like the part in Mariel of Redwall when Mariel drinks Strawberry Fizz for the first time ;D I laughed so hard it wasn't funny :P I also really like all the Feasts and whatnot, except they always made me so hungry!

Yes!!!!! That part was so sad! And then Russano uses it afterwords. I wonder what Russano's mothers name was ??? I wonder if she was ever in a different book?
Love it too wen Raga Bol sees Lonna Bowstripe and says, 'Yore dead!' What a surprise taht must have been for him!
I have two as well,
First: At the end of Martin the Warrior when they shout Reeeedwaaaaalllll!
Second: when Grumm is surrounded by the bees in MTW.

That was from Salamandastron when they go looking for the icetor flowers
The battle of the ridge. Enough said
This part in Mossflower.
"Ooh, what's a crab, Mr. Gonff?"
"Well it's like a spider, only a hundred times bigger, with great mipping claws and lots of hard armor."
"Did you and Martin slay the big crab, Mr. Gonff?"
"Er, well, no, Ferdy. Actually I ended up dancing with it."
"Hahahahaha!"
"Was it a pretty lady Crab, Gonff?"
"No, I think it was a jolly sort of male crab, Columbine."
Oh, then thats all right."
Brings tears to my eyes every time.
'From flurgy paws an' grungy tummy
Spirit keep us free.
Wobbly whiskers an' dah de dah...'
HEEHEEHEE.
SO funny. My favorite part in Redwall is the part in Mossflower where Gonff and Martin are in the Kotir prison cell, and Martin is making comments about how they were going to escape using a stick.
I really like in Martin the Warrior, the TV series, when Rotnose and Fleabane are talking after Brome stops yelling. It might also be in the book, I dunno. Haven't read that book since Christmas...
Rotnose: Silence. What a lovely word!
Fleabane: It'd be much lovelier if you'd shut your gob and give it a chance!
;D
hmmmm me thinks mr thug and baby dumble are from the book salamandastron i forgot hmmmmmm
favorite moment of redwall was when the dibbuns sawed graple ropes with kitchen knives hahahahaha
*spoiler* Bragoon and Saro's death scene, where they're holding paws and talking... that's the only part in any book ever that has made me openly cry.
Also very sad and burned into my memory is the scene where Vurg finds all the shipwreck victims in Legend of Luke, notably when he finds poor Cardo the cook.
The scene when Luke drives the boat into the rocks. That part is unforgettable.
To choose one? I can't.
Rollo.
Dumble. He made me cry, I don't know why.
Matthias and Cluny.
Halfchop. "Kachunk!" :D :'(
Plugg Firetail's missing tail.
This is so nostalgic it's making me sad!

Bore - ing. ::) Luke the Warrior is commonplace. ::) ::)
I think that part was quite cool. Remember the "strawberry trees"?
My favorite redwall moment is when Mathias Kills Cluny.... With the Joseph bell!!!!!......
My all time favourite part is the battle between Martin and Tsarmina in Mossflower. It is so thrilling and suspenseful and written with such great detail. One of the only real parts in the final battle against the main villain leader where the main character seemed in real danger. I loved it.
I just finished Martin the Warrior today, re-reading it. And I cried openly when the Fur and Freedom fighters were passing out the last javelins to make their final stand. It was so sad and brave and loaded with emotion.
This one particular scene in Martin the Warrior never fails to make me laugh:
Pg 225,
"Badrang came thundering out, tripped over Gurrad's body, picked himself swiftly up and kicked the carcass bad-temperedly.
I love the feasts too i hate reading them just before lunch
Grath and Inbar going away together to that island, the battles, skalrag, I have a lot.
Clary, Thyme, and Rosie's last stand will always be burned into my memory.
Also when Beau can't remember his own name(look in my sig). :D
The things that make me cry when someone good like Rose of noonvale and felldoh get killed. So if someone good dies and they were kind and kind of the lead role I cry. But if like in Martin the warrior they talk about the flirgy twinj it makes me laugh :D
I love it when Rollo starts turning Basil's song's into a more violent version. On of my favourite ever parts is when Cuthbert Blanedale Frunk defeats Pitru and Slothunog.
I loved Bragoon and Saro's friendship.
Wot wot stap me whiskers if it aint the bold Tammo ...................... ha ha ha ha
