Here we go, Sunpaw! We'll make characters, then get this show on the road!
My mind is currently blank, but I think my character will be a fox.
I'm a badger. Rina. I created her yesterday.
I got it! Just a simple character sheet.
Name: Firtin.
Species: fox
Gender: male
Age: young adult, 25ish
Weapons: a sword and a dagger.
Where would we like to set the duel? At sea? Redwall? Woodlands? Hills? On top of a cliff? Something else?
I do not care. :)

Okay, I'll start now, I guess?
IC: Firtin hid behind a bush by the path. The sound of footsteps was drawing near. Drawing his sword, he smile wickedly. Highway robbery was definitely going to be fun. Just like his mother had said it would be, before he took her weapon and ran off.
Rina walked down the path, her red eyes darted to every tree encase of intruders. She has become very cautious since she was on her own now.
Hearing a noise behind him, Firtin looked back. It was only a stupid sparrow. He stooped down and picked up a rock, then drew his arm back and chucked it at the stupid bird. It fell short.
Grumbling, Firtin absently turned back to the path. A figure was just coming into view. Not bothering to see what manner of beast it was, he jumped onto the path, his sword held out in front of him.
Too late he realized that the beast was a badger, quite a bit taller than himself.
Mustering his courage, he lifted the sword higher. "Give me your valuables and victuals!" He snarled.
Rina hated robbers, and wanted nothing to do with this fox.
"Never!" Reaching for her ax, she charged the fox.

Surprised, Firtin leaped out of the way just in time. The badger was huge, and he hardly stood a chance. Halfheartedly, he lifted his sword and lunged at the badger.
(OOC: Make a sign up thread in the OOC section, then when you have enough characters, make the actual RP thread in the main RP section.)

Rina could sense that this fox knew his fighting skills. But, this was one fight, she did not want to kill.
(OOC: Wait are we supposed to kill?)
(OOC: I don't know. We would need an alternate ending otherwise.)
Firtin's sword narrowly missed as the badger hesitated. Growling in frustration, he brought the sword back again and swung at the badger's midriff.
As the sword came close to her, Rina's ax came into contact with it. Creating a loud *clanging* noise.
(OOC: How?)
Firtin felt the force of the axe's blow send tremors through his body as it connected to his sword. It took all his strength to stay on his feet.
(OOC: I dunno. Maybe one of them gets wounded and the other helps them, and they become friends. It might turn into a mini RP sort of thing, but it would be fun.)
"Why do you fight, fox? You will just lose!" Rina questioned her opponent.
(OOC: okay, sounds good!)
Firtin breathed raggedly. "Why shouldn't I fight? Agility has triumphed over strength before."
He reached for his dagger, but found his arms still throbbing from the force of the blow. He charged with the sword again.
"Well said." Rina stepped to the side and as she did so, she brought her ax down upon the fox's sword.
Again? Firtin thought as the axe sent the blade clattering from his hands, leaving them hot from friction. He yelped as the sword fell on his foot paw, slicing it a little.
"Serves you right." The badger walked away. Her senses still alert for a longer attack from the fox.
Watching the badger walk away, Firtin felt a surge of anger. He reached down and grabbed his sword, bringing it up over his head, then bringing it down as he charged the badger.
Rina turned around, but too late. The sword cut a wound deep in her shoulder.
"Groowwch!" Rina dropped her ax and held a paw to her injury.
The sight of sword cutting through the badger's shoulder didn't hold the satisfaction that Firtin had thought it would. Feeling a pang of guilt he withdrew his sword. "Are you alright?" He asked, surprised to find that he felt genuine concern.
Rina grunted a slight, "Yes." She stood up from her slouching position, blood falling from her gaping wound. "Why would you care, fox?" She spat the last word out.
Firtin took a step back. "I was hoping you weren't." He lied.
"Well, I am fine!" She stood up, but the pain in her shoulder brought her to the ground with a thump. Her eyes became hot with anger.
Firtin covered his weakness with a smirk. "Looks like I got you good, badger. I don't think you're fine." He withdrew a small bag from his satchel and tossed it at the badger. "Here. I've got some bandages."
Rina took the bandages and dressed her shoulder. "Why are you helping me?" She said to the fox.
Firtin shrugged. "Just figured I might as well. I can't stand the sight of blood. Here, give me back my bandages."
Rina throws them at him, hitting him in the nose. "Hahaha!" She let out a booming laugh.
Firtin scowled, then stooped to pick the bandages up. "If you are all right, shall I leave now? Or do I have to teach you another lesson, with the help of my sword, of course.
"How about not, you are good with your sword, but not strong in your head." Rina sat against a tree.
"Oh? What do you mean by that? Are you calling me stupid?" Firtin trembled with rage.
(OOC: Firtin has a pretty quick temper, lol.)
(OOC: And Rina is really mean. haha)
"No! Well, not exactly." Rina laughed at the angry fox. "But, you control you sword with your paws, which is good. Sometimes. You need to feel the motion inside as well."
Rina shakes her head at her Lord logic.
(OOC: Should I do an art thread?)
Firtin forced himself to calm down, cocking an eyebrow. "Oh? And what would you know about using a sword?"
(OOC: yes! You totally should!)
"It shouldn't be harder than an ax. You couldn't use an ax." Rina shrugged and laughed.
(OOC: Okie dokie!)
Firtin snorted. "Swords require much more finesse than an axe. I can use my body, I just wasn't thinking enough to do it."
Rina scowled in disgust. "You could lose a battle by that."
"I suppose I could," Firtin conceded. He grinned. "But I didn't."
"Not this one, fox. But, the next time you are in a fight. You're going to wish you listened to me." Rina stuck her fist in the air, obviously angry.
Firtin casually swung his sword around. "I'm doing fine by myself, thank you."
"Mhm, you made a badger have a bloody shoulder. That's a big feat." Rina rolled her eyes and switched her braid.
Firtin shrugged. "Maybe it is. How does it feel?"
"It's fine." She rolled her shoulder forward then back. "It'll do."
"Good, Firtin said. "Shall I be going then?"
"What is your name, fox?" Rina randomly asked.
"Firtin," he said. "And...what's yours?"
"Rina Redrose." She hated her last name, but that's what it was.
"Would you..." He hesitated. "Would you maybe like to travel with me?"
"Why?" Rina was startled by such a question. But, she was very lonely.
(OOC: Should she be a fox?)
Firtin shrugged. "Just cause. Maybe if we're heading the same way we could accompany each other."
(OOC: I'm not really sure what you're asking...)
(OOC: Oh, woops. I forgot the binning of that sentence. Should my new character I'm making, be a fox?)
Rina stuttered. "Um, sure?" Whoever heard of a fox and a badger being friends.
(OOC: ummm, what do we do now? And yes, foxes are totally epic.)
Firtin inclined his head north. "Where are you going, anyway?" He was still hesitant about traveling together, but he had been on his own long enough to crave any company, even if it was a badger.
(OOC: Maybe we should bring in other characters that are bad guys, and they have decide what to do?)
"Redwall Abbey." Rina laughed. "You'll fit right in!" She shook with laughter.
(OOC: Ok, I'll work a rat named Trasc. You?)
Firtin shrugged. "Sounds fine to me. I've heard Redwall is, um, east of here, I think."
(OOC: A ferret named Ralphez.)
"Thank you." Rina started walking east.
Firtin followed behind. "I have always wanted to go to Redwall. My mum used to tell me stories of treasure they kept there."

Trasc sneered at his companion Ralphez. "There ain't no more birds in those trees. We shot em all out. Let's go find some place that's better. Somewhere we can loot and plunder." He licked his claws of the last of the roasted bird.
"I have heard it is a grand place with great food. never heard of treasure though." Rina laughed.

Ralphez smiled at his partner. "Yes! Let us!!!"
Firtin shrugged. "They were fantastical stories. Probably complete lies. But great food is appealing."

Trasc jumped up, shoving his flagon into the haversack. "Well, git your stuff and let's go."
"Yes, I'm do for a great meal." Rina held a paw to her stomach.

"Alrighty then, don't get your tail in a knot!" Ralphez packed a sack with leftover bird. "You never know when you'll need some meat!"
(OOC: That sounded so cheesy!!)
(OOC: Haha.)
Firtin trudged forward. "Me too. They better have good food there."

Trasc shrugged. "Aw, put a button on it. Them birds'll be rotten afore we get a chance to eat them. Just move your sorry seat on out of here."
(OOC: Dear, dear. That Trasc is rather crass.)
(OOC: I posted my newest art thing)
Rina laughed a hearty laugh and kept walking.

Ralphez squinted in the sun light down the long path ahead of them. "You're right, pal, I'm gonna throw them out."
Firtin walked beside Rina, feeling relaxed. It had been a long time since he had a companion.
At the faint sound of voices his ears perked up. "Shh. I think I hear something."

Trasc nodded sagely. "Of course I'm right, yew buffoon! But that's yore problem, not mine. Let's go find some'at to plunder."
Rina listened and she too could here voices.

Ralphez bopped Trasc over the head with his paw. "I ain't no buffoon!!"
Firtin crept forward, grabbing his knife from its sheath. What was out there?

Trasc rubbed his ear ruefully. "Yes you are. And that ain't fair!" He brought his paw in an uppercut to Ralphez's stomach.
Rina brought a paw to her lips, quieting her partner.

Ralphez gulped for air. "Oh! I am no buffoon." He said with a snarl.
Firtin motioned to Rina to come forward, then kept moving to get a better look.

Trasc sneered. "Yes, you are. But it don't matter. Let's move on."
Rina nodded, following the fox.

Ralphez sneered, "I wander whats we's is gonna find fur us out thur!"
Coming up behind a boulder, Firtin saw a rat and a ferret slowly coming up the path, speaking vehemently.

Trasc nodded, chuckling evilly. "Probably some nice fat sparrows and some good veggible soup."
Rina stifled a growl. She hated rats.

Ralphez grinned. "I likes veggitable soup!"
OOC: I meant for it to be spelled wrong. :)
Firtin snarled softly. "Huh, ferrets. I get the ferret."

Trasc sneered patronizingly. "So do I. So let's go find some. "
Rina wanted to laugh at the site of two vermin talking about soup. "Right. The rats all mine!"

"Lets!" Ralphez hopped up and started skipping, singing about soup. "Ohhhhh, me likes me veggitable soups. O, it tastes so grand and good," And on on on he sang.
Firtin grinned. "I'll come up on them from behind. You confront them." He eased away and stealthily crept behind the bushes, keeping his eye on the two beasts.

Trasc rolled his eyes as he watched Ralphez sing. Sometimes Ralphez could be very annoying.
Rina nodded and strode up to the rat. She tapped him on the shoulder. "Hello, my good sir. Out for a stroll?"

Ralphez hummed the last verse of his made up song. He turned to see a badger talking to his companion.
Firtin smiled. Rina had a straightforward way of doing things. She was definitely useful.

Trasc looked up to see a female badger towering over him. He grinned maliciously. "No, I ain't out for a stroll. Who are yew?" He pawed his cutlass, considering the best attack route.
Rina smiled, she hoped this made the creature feel scared. "I am Rina, and you are?"

Ralphez thought about if he should go to his partner. This made him feel pressured, so he kept staring at the two.
