Title: Hazel (Cornflower) vs. Mankers (Vilu/Dilu)
Post by: Cornflower MM on March 05, 2016, 03:50:03 PM
It was a fine spring day at the edge of Mossflower Wood. Hazel Stonetooth, a somewhat middled-aged squirrel, was coming back from a rare excursion into the forest for supplies; she much preferred the dunes. Slinging her pack down, Hazel figured she'd take a rest, get something to drink. "Not like I'm in a hurry, anyway." She thought out loud.

Mankers had been stalking Hazel for most of the day, he might be rewarded if he brought those supplies back to the horde. He crawled closer.

OOC: I'm really sorry Vilu! I'll try and do more with this.

BIC: Hazel paused, she'd heard something behind her. It hadn't been much, just a twig snapping, but thast was enough. Standing up, she drew her sword. "Who's there?" She called, her eyes scanning the surroundings.

OOC: It's alright, it took me 11 days.

IC: Mankers immediately froze, he hadn't thought the squirrel would hear him coming. For once he was glad his axe was old and dark.

OOC: Again, my apologies.

BIC: Hazel paused, still scanning the woodlands. After a moment she shrugged and bent to pick up her pack. "Better hurry back, I'm starting to hear things." She muttered to herself.

Mankers wasn't the brightest of weasels. Noticing that Hazel hadn't seen him, he jumped up and walked slowly towards her, snapping twigs and scattering leaves as he went.

Hazel whirled, her dagger in her paw. "Stop right there!" She commanded, putting every inch of superiority she could in her command. "Who are you and what do you want?" She asked the weasel, hoping against hope that he wouldn't be part of the horde.

Mankers jumped back in suprise, it wasn't fair that this squirrel had such good ears. He stood up straight, lifted his axe, and tried to make himself look as terrible as possible.

"I am Mankers, I come from the horde of Espern. Surrender and I wont have ta kill you," he said.

Hazel paused and looked at the weasel for a moment. "Oh I don't know, Mankers, if your killing is anything like your sneaking I'd say it's my lucky day." She said with a smirk. "I'm Hazel of the rebellion."

OOC: Sorry for the delay, nothing is coming to me. I'll post sometime between five minutes and five years. That should be enough time.

OOC: Haha, nah, you're good. Take your time, I'd rather have this slow and fun than fast and forced. :)

OOC: Only took me 44 days.

IC: Mankers eyed Hazel one more time, as if making sure he could actually beat her.
"Well, hold still a moment and I'll show you," he said with his ax held ready.

OOC: Bahaha. Lookee who forgot. :P Sorry, Dask.

BIC: "Hold still?" Hazel smiled sweetly. "Sorry, I don't think so." Then she charged, slicing her sword down diagonally.

OOC: Two days later.

IC: Mankers quickly stepped out of the way, sticking out his foot in the hopes that Hazel would trip.

OOC: Six. :P Oops. @Lord Daskar.

BIC: Hazel skipped to the side, stumbling a bit but staying upright. "Playing dirty are you?" she growled, settling in a stance and waiting for Mankers to come to her.

OOC: Hazel sure is a slow runner.

IC: Mankers smiled in a satisfied way, 'Good, she's not as agile as some squirrels.'
Ignoring her comment he came quickly forward, the ax above his head ready to slice Hazel in half.

OOC: Heh, yeah. Sorry about not replying. You're not bored with this are you?

BIC: Hazel blocked the axe with her sword, "Hah! Better do better than that, weasel, or you'll be chopped into fish meat." she taunted, feinting to the right and stabbing to the left.

OOC: That's fine, family reunions are a decent excuse. Not really, you need a comma before the "are you?" I'll edit this later and that block was totally powerplaying, I don't care how minor it is. Let it be known to all that you did it before me! Now that I look, you did it on your second post when you made me snap a twig.

OOC: So I did, in my second post. I don't see how you say that the block was PP, but whatever. Let's just move on.

OOC: If you think I'm mad, I'm not. I was happy I didn't accidentally do it first.

IC: Mankers was stabbed and nicked several times ,the ax wasn't good for blocking quick sword thrusts, luckily none of them were painful or serious. He quickly moved backwards but stumbled over a tree root, the ax was moved down to stop himself from falling.

OOC: Mmkay. Dang I'm so forgetful.

BIC: Hazel laughed in triumph, moving closer. "Any last words, weasel?" She taunted, lifting her sword.

Mankers smiled. He could turn this mistake into one of his favorite tricks and the dumb squirrel had been foolish enough to expose her entire body. In a flash he drew his dagger and sprang forwards, directing the blade towards Hazel's heart and moving the ax into a blocking position.

OOC: I see no good way to get out of that with dying or PPing/GMing. You wanna end this?

OOC: *Rolls eyes*

BIC: With a shriek, Hazel went to jump back, but not fast enough. With a gasp, she watched the dagger enter her chest. She staggered, then fell, and didn't move again.

Mankers looked at Hazel for several seconds before yelping in pain as the sword fell and hit his foot. He was sightly surprised and horrified, this was the first beast he had ever killed. He prodded Hazel a few times with his ax before pulling out the dagger, grabbing the sword and the bag, and leaving.

@James Gryphon. I believe we are done.
