Title: Survive the Crimson Sunrise II
Post by: Eulaliaaa! on December 27, 2016, 06:21:17 PM
This is a survival roleplaying game. It's a mixture of Overlord's Orders, Roleplaying and Mafia.

A new day dawned, with one of the most beautiful sunrises of all time. Light red spread across the wispy clouds. It was yet another day in the bustling world. However, all was not exactly as it had been.

As the age old saying goes - "Red at night, sailor's delight. Red in the morning, sailors take warning!"

This violently red morning was one to especially take warning of. A terrible disease had been spreading throughout humanity, and that crimson morning was the final day that civilization would exist. The disease warped, changed and ruined its hosts. It created monsters - zombies - dead men walking, who would stop at nothing to eat and kill - creating more of themselves. The police were powerless, not realizing that only a head shot would stop these monsters. Millions of people each day became one of them, and soon only ragged groups of survivors remained.

One group of survivors had something in common. They were from all parts of the world, but had been vacationing in Colorado. Now they found themselves trekking through mountainous terrain and small, abandoned cities. They were well armed and well supplied. If anyone could survive, they could. But little did they know, the next couple weeks would be filled with danger and death.

WELCOME, to the second round of "Survive The Crimson Sunrise." There is only one goal: Survive, in any way you can. And there's an infinite amount of possibilities. Creative players will last longer in new ways, and less active or blundering players will surely wish they had done better.

The game will be fast paced and will continue until only one or two people remain.

RULES:

The Host: This is me, and the host will change after each round, with the sole survivor of the previous round hosting the next one. The host is responsible with keeping the game flowing, killing off characters and controlling a wide variety of things from weather to zombies to humans not represented by forum members. Forum members will die periodically

The Players: Forum member players are responsible for their own safety. They could be killed off at any point and in any way, and have two major things to deal with. One - elemental safety. They need to make sure they are safe from the environment and zombies. The best way to do this is to set up a base with some sort of safety contraption - walls, tin cans to warn of zombies. The more creative and efficient the defense, the more likely they are to survive. Their other main concern is other players. Players can plot against one another and kill each other off. If someone is murdered, the group can decide to kick the one they deem responsible out. A player can leave the main group at any time if they are worried about the other group members. Alone, however, environmental risks are greater.

Food and supplies: This game is all about coming up with clever new ways to survive. For this reason, you are all well supplied. Anything you think you would have with you, you can use. String, tins cans, bullets. anything. Be warned, the use of ammunition excessively will result in running out of ammo - which the host can decide will happen at any point. Try using melee weapons instead. You will only need food when the narrator says so. They will provide a nearby location for you to loot. This will force separate groups to converge on one location. Then they can fight, ignore each other or run away. If a group does not scavenge for food when necessary all the members may well die. (Anything can happen!)

Environment: I want you to live through this apocalypse however you want to! If you want to hole up in an old school - do it! The environment, old buildings and surroundings (forests, rivers, mountains) are all within your control! If you hole up in a building it will be easier to defend, but there will be more zombies. If you hole up in the forest it will be harder to defend, but there will be fewer zombies. If players are in a group together, they need to agree upon their surroundings - you can't live in a cave and in the middle of a city at the same time! Also, if you simply write "We found a castle with mounted machine guns" The host will likely force you to edit that post. Think realistic please.

Murder: This is the most fun aspect of the game. You can kill anyone, anytime. It could be in your best interest, as it moves you closer to being the last survivor. You could also be a team player, and hope that in return no one will attempt to kill you or suspect you. To murder someone, simply send the host a Private Message detailing how you plan to murder this person. The more elaborate and innovative your plan, the more likely it is to succeed. If you plan to kill an active player, you will be less likely to succeed. Less active players are easier to kill. The host will write in how the death occurs. If Billy sends me a private message that he plans to kill Tommy at night with a knife, the host will start the next morning detailing how the group discovers Billy dead, with a bloody knife on the ground next to him. If Tommy plans to push Billy into the zombies, the host will detail how Billy suddenly stumbles and falls headlong into the zombies. The surviving players may catch the murderer in the act, or suspect someone. They must decide as a group if they want to execute someone, send them away on their own, or do something else. Just talk about it and decide - you can do anything!

Sanity: Every time you kill someone your sanity will go down. If you murder them, especially. A great strategy is to act nice and part of the team, while killing people off like a crazy person. However, if you kill too many people, the host can decide that you are insane, or evil. They will then send you a PM, telling you that you can no longer be nice often to other players, or that you must show some sort of aggression on a zombie. This is why you want to be careful when you do things not morally right.

Characters: Forum members can submit their own characters. The host may be looking for a specific combination. For example, a little girl character would not have any skills, but would boost the group's Sanity. If she were to be killed, this would deeply hurt the group's sanity. A strong male character would make the place safe and can deal with zombies. A nurse character would not be able to fight zombies well, but could cure diseased or injured survivors.

Going off on your own or splitting up If the group seems to be crumbling, or quarreling, you can decide to leave the group. You can even talk with other survivors secretly over PMs about leaving and forming your own group. When there are two or more different groups the host will make different things happen to each group. Both groups can attack one another or attempt to steal supplies. They will run into each other again, because the host will force everyone to loot the same supermarket for food or something similar.

Winning: The host will kill off players who do not put up good defenses or don't post often enough. The game will continue into there is only one player left standing. If two or more players form a tight knit team, two players can survive rather than having to turn on each other - as that wouldn't make any sense. If this happens, the host decides who is most deserving to be the next host.

RULE NUMBER 1: Be creative, and don't worry about rules. This is about fun, not rigidness. Just PM the host if you think someone has overstepped or you are worried about doing something. Again, This is about fun - not restrictions
RULE NUMBER 2: Don't publicly try to moderate other players, just PM the host. It is his/her responsibility to keep things in line.
RULE NUMBER 3: Moderators outrank even the host. Follow the forum rules. Do not do anything too over the top.

Points: If you die first you receive one point. If you die second you receive two points and so on.

Alright, folks! Are you ready to rrruuuuuuuumblllllllle?! I sure am, so let's get this show on the road!

Colorado, Colorado Springs. Five weeks into the apocalypse.

Henry, Don, Adrian, and Lavinia were the only four left of their previous group. Said group had recently been attacked by zombies and left only them alive and well. Before, they were traveling together to get up into the mountains and make their way to one of the small mountain towns where a member of the group had a huge vacation home. It was stocked with supplies, which was the one thing the group needed most. Another member had invited the others to join the two. Safety in numbers, after all. There had been seven people in this group. Now there were only four.

The remaining group had a general idea of the area and the situation was getting ugly real fast. Food was short, supplies were short, and medicine was nearly gone. The four survivors stood together in the camp. Torn tents fluttered in the wind and smoke drifted slowly up. They were still recovering from the shock of the attack, tense and looking for any more of the zombies.

Not long after they had finished going through everything and getting ready to continue on their way, a scream came from not far off. Henry was the first to see a woman running down the street where they camped. She was limping and didn't seem to have a weapon. She had a large pack of supplies on her back, and several zombies were gaining on her.

Sighting the four survivors, she wove her hands in the air wildly. "Please! Help me!"

Croffer was just finishing up adjusting the straps on his backpack when the woman's cries reached his ears. Looking around at the approaching horde Don's eyes widened in shock and he grabbed his rifle while pulling his pack on.
"Les' get a move on, she's leading the biters straight towards us!" Glancing towards the other three members of his group Don shook his head in annoyance. He didn't really care about any of them, but right now they helped him and as long as he remained helpful in return he was safer then he'd be on his own.

Turning his attention back to the oncoming zombies he waved at the woman, shouting over the short distance. "Drop the pack you moron, its weighing you down. Run faster!" Lowering his voice he spoke to the others. "If we can get her to drop the pack, we can come back for the stuff once the zombies move on. And if she gets caught then all that perfectly good stuff doesn't get stuck on a zombie's back."

Lavinia pulled her Glock from its holster. "We can worry about supplies later. Right now there are walkers approaching and they're not gonna wait for us to make a decision. Arm yourselves, you fools!"
Title: Re: Survive the Crimson Sunrise II
Post by: Eulaliaaa! on January 06, 2017, 11:12:14 PM
The woman was still yelling when she tripped and fell. Quickly, she took the backpack off her back and scrambled to her feet, limping towards them. "Please, I don't have a weapon! You need to help me!" The three zombies were almost upon her, as she as moving slowly, and if something was not done quickly, she would be bit. "I have a family, and supplies. You can take what you need!"
Title: Re: Survive the Crimson Sunrise II
Post by: Feles on January 07, 2017, 03:16:24 AM
As much as Adrian didn't believe what the woman said, her screams could only be attracting more zombies, which is hardly what he needed. He unsheathed his knife and looked over at Lavinia. Seeing that she had pulled out her handgun out, he said "Unless you intend to bring more here, I suggest you don't use a gun." He looked back over at the zombies and approached them steadily.
Title: Re: Survive the Crimson Sunrise II
Post by: Maudie on January 07, 2017, 06:32:30 AM
Lavinia hesitated, looking down at her handgun. She'd hardly given a thought to drawing it, it had been second nature for so long. She hastily stuffed it back into the holster and grabbed the club she'd made from a fallen tree branch. It wasn't as effective as a gun, but it was better than nothing.

Swinging the club in her right hand, Lavinia charged head-on towards the woman and the zombies. Passing the woman, she planted her feet in the ground and began swinging her club, hoping to bash a few zombies' heads in.
Title: Re: Survive the Crimson Sunrise II
Post by: Eulaliaaa! on January 07, 2017, 06:25:08 PM
Lavinia swung the club down upon a zombie's head, splitting it open. A second one turned its attention towards Adrian, shuffling awkwardly to him and grabbing onto one of his sleeves, mouth wide open and ready to take a chomp out of its juicy meal. The third and last zombie stumbled towards the other two - Henry and Don.
Title: Re: Survive the Crimson Sunrise II
Post by: Feles on January 07, 2017, 09:23:23 PM
Adrian pulled his arm toward himself, pulling the zombie with it. When the zombie was nearly inches from his face, he slid his knife through its jaw, killing it. He pulled the knife out and let the now dead creature fall to the ground. Ignoring the woman, he looked around for any more zombies.
Title: Re: Survive the Crimson Sunrise II
Post by: LT Sandpaw on January 08, 2017, 01:24:09 AM

Don was making sure to stay well back, intentionally maintaining a healthy distance from the zombies. However as the third bumbling flesh eater stumbled towards him Croffer found himself forced to engage. Armed as he was with the heavy rifle the man hesitated, unsure of whether to use the weapon like a club, or drop the gun and pull out his knife. He went for the safer, and third option, raising the gun into a shooting position and pulling the trigger.

Click

"Hell damn it," he cussed remembering he had emptied the chamber and mag only minutes before to clean the blasted thing. By that time the zombie had reached him and Don couldn't wait any longer. Jabbing forward with the barrel like he had a bayonet Don easily bowled the clumsy creature over. It took only a few more hefty swings with the stock to silence its incessant growling. Flicking rotten blood from the rifle's stock Don checked to see how his partners were fairing.

Let's pretend there was a 4th zombie, because thanks to work, I didn't see any of the new posts. ::)

BIC:

Henry stepped forwards, towards the woman and the final zombie. With one hand, he thrust his knife towards the undead's temple; his other arm shooting out to grab the woman's arm.
"Easy there, sweetheart. We just saved you. Why don't you give us some proof of this 'family and supplies?' Because unless your family consists of three midgets and a chihuahua, they're not going to be hiding in your backpack, are they?"

OOC: very well, details you shall have.

BIC: The woman nodded, trying to calm herself down before speaking. "Thank you, thank you so much." Looking at the four of them, she slowly pointed down the road behind her. "My family is that way. In Denver. I know it's a bit of a hike, but I'm with a group. We've holed up in one of the buildings and there's quite a lot of us. Please, you have to believe me. I have two beautiful girls, I need to get back to them. You... you can come with me. I'll take you to my group, they won't hurt you." She looked pleadingly up at them, tears trickling down her face. Denver, as everyone knew, was a several hour trip..... by car.

As Adrian searched through the bag, he found food, water, extra clothes, a notebook with some writing and lists in it, and a handgun with a silencer. The gun had extra ammo in a bag at the bottom of the pack.

Pulling the pistol and its silencer from the pack, Adrian spoke: "Why didn't you just use this to kill the zombies?"

Lavinia reached into her pack, pulling out a bandana. She carefully wiped the blood and gore from her club using the bandana, then folded it up and stuffed it back into her pack.

With a sigh she turned back to the others. "And what were you doing so far from home?" she asked the woman.
Title: Re: Survive the Crimson Sunrise II
Post by: Eulaliaaa! on January 08, 2017, 08:57:22 PM
The woman looked from Adrian to Lavinia. "The gun... I... don't know how to use it. No one ever taught me, I just found it yesterday. And I'm searching. For supplies and stuff for my group. My car broke down and ran out of gas several miles up the road." She slowly stood up, making sure her hands where in the air and visible. "Hey, how about you come with me back to Denver? It's quite a ways away, but it'll be worth the trip." She looked nervously around at them. "Yeah?"
Title: Re: Survive the Crimson Sunrise II
Post by: LT Sandpaw on January 08, 2017, 09:16:34 PM

"Sorry honey," Don chortled rolling the zombies' bodies out of the way. "But we don't have the time, or reason to escort you to Denver. Either you go our way, or you go alone." He joined Adrian digging through the woman's pack selecting a few of the food items for himself, stuffing them nondescriptly into his own pack.

"Anything ya'll want out of here?" He asked the others once he had taken his pick. "Otherwise we need to get out of here, I don't like this pace, its too open."
Title: Re: Survive the Crimson Sunrise II

"mmhmm" Adrian said in response to the woman, clearly unconvinced. He grabbed the remaining ammo out of the pack and knelt down to place it in his own backpack. At Don's remark he looked up and spoke again: "I'm in agreement there, we have places to be."

OOC: I'm assuming that their general plan was to find a way to the lodge.
Title: Re: Survive the Crimson Sunrise II
Post by: Groddil on January 08, 2017, 11:06:24 PM
Henry placed a hand on Adrian's backpack.
"That gun isn't yours to take. Give it back. And the ammo as well."
He turned to the woman.
"Much as I hate doin' this, I can't just leave you here. Places to be? Like what? This whole 'Mountain Cabin' shtick? How do any of us know it's still there. Hasn't been ransacked. Tell you what. I'll go with her. Can't just leave her to die. Maybe some day, we'll all meet up again in Shangri-La. Now. Adrian. Don. Give her back her gun, and her food. Or I'll take it back."
Title: Re: Survive the Crimson Sunrise II
Post by: Feles on January 08, 2017, 11:13:24 PM
Adrian's eyes narrowed, however he reluctantly reopened his pack and placed the gun, silencer and two mags of ammo.
"Her 'group' could be just as made up Henry, I still have a hard time believing she would continue to scavenge after her car broke down and that said group would send her out alone when she didn't even know how to use a gun."
Title: Re: Survive the Crimson Sunrise II
Post by: Groddil on January 08, 2017, 11:25:23 PM
"I'll teach her. I can't just leave her here, Adrian. It's possible that her group was split up. Don, hurry up."
He turned to the woman.
"Your group split up? Were you even with them?"
Title: Re: Survive the Crimson Sunrise II
Post by: Eulaliaaa! on January 08, 2017, 11:46:27 PM
OOC: that is correct. You guys can continue to the cabin, or trust the woman and follow her back to Denver. Either choice will have an entirely different story. *Maniacal laugh*

BIC: "No," the woman said. "They're still in Denver. We're taking up one of the buildings, there's plenty of room. And you can take the food - all of it, I don't mind." She started to look hopeful. "So you'll come with me?" she asked.
Title: Re: Survive the Crimson Sunrise II
Post by: Groddil on January 08, 2017, 11:50:14 PM
"I thought so. Would make more sense for you to show up here if you were travelling alone. But if there's two of us going, I think we'll be needing those supplies back, Don."
He handed her the gun.
"Hold onto that. When we get a chance, I'll show you how it works. Be quite useful to have another silenced gun watching my back."
Title: Re: Survive the Crimson Sunrise II
Post by: Feles on January 09, 2017, 12:07:51 AM
Adrian bit his lip, he still didn't trust the woman, but he wasn't about to attempt to survive on his lonesome. He hoped that Lavinia and Don would not agree to Henry's idea.
Title: Re: Survive the Crimson Sunrise II
Post by: Maudie on January 09, 2017, 12:33:21 AM
Lavinia paced back and forth, rubbing her hands together. "Well, in times like this there's always more safety in numbers. I for one think we should go with her."

She stopped, glaring at Don and Adrian. "But whatever we do, we can't just take everything in her pack and leave her with no supplies."

"I didn't take everything," Don argued defensively, not liking how it was now three on one. He wasn't sure whether he could trust Adrian to help him out if it did turn for the worse, but he wasn't about to back down either. "We saved her life, and apparently ya'll'r gonna walk her all the way back to Denver. I might as well get something for my services, right?" He snorted taking a few bullets out of his pocket, loading his rifle, aggressively shoving the bullets into the mag and clicking it into place.

"They're my supplies now, do you have a problem with that?" He challenged Henry, holding the soldier's gaze.

"Yes, I do. You want the supplies, you come with us and earn them."
The soldier clicked the safety of his pistol.

"Hey let's keep it calm here," Don said, eyeing Henry's pistol warily. "Let's just get one thing crystal clear, I ain't running about on some fools errand to try and help some girl who got lost. I'd rather get up to that shelter an' bunker down for a while, let the authorities deal with the world gone mad. Oh and I ain't giving up what's rightfully mine neither ways. So deal with it hotshot."

"Hey," the woman said. "How about we all go? I don't mind him taking my supplies, there's plenty of food and stuff back in Denver. It'll take a few days, but it's very safe. Nothing can break into our building. My group will be happy to welcome you four, all of you. We can settle the problem as we go, but I'd like to start going soon. It's not safe out here for someone like me. I can't shoot a gun..." she looked around at the group, giving a small smile.

Don grinned, knowing he had won. "Well you stick to sentimental values, I'll stick with these supplies, and we'll see who lives longer." Tightening his pack Don moved over to Adrian, lowering his voice so that only the Greek could hear.
"What do you wanna do? We've gotta be close to that shelter, and I can't imagine a city is the best place to be." He indicated Henry with a flick of his hand. "And I don't want to be around him anymore."

OOC: about time :P now, let the fun begin! Mwahahaha!

BIC:

Group 1(Don and Adrian)
The two survivors walked down a cluttered road that was filled with the rusted parts of scavenged cars and dead bodies that soaked the ground in blood. The sun was beginning to get low in the sky, just starting to dip below the mountains. So far, the trip hadn't been easy. They were still in town, where most of the people had been infected, and the dead slowed them down quite a bit. But they didn't have far to go before they were out of town and well on their way up the mountains. The immediate concern though, was where to sleep for the night. A zombie could be seen not far off wherever they looked, and there were two buildings close to them. An old gas station and an abandoned pet store.

Group 2 (Henry and Lavinia)
The same sun that threatened to leave Don and Adrian in the dark shone its dying rays of light onto Henry and Lavinia, who had chosen to go with the woman. Zombies were few and far apart since they were on the long, seemingly endless stretch of road between Colorado Springs and Denver. The problem, however, was that they needed a shelter. With no buildings to use, they needed to figure out what they were going to do.

"I'd say we should stay at the pet store, last I checked animals didn't turn into zombies." Adrian said wearily. He was quite tired, and the prospect of fighting more zombies was not a fun thought. "We can just raid the gas station for supplies in the morning."

Lavinia looked around, catching sight of several abandoned cars on the road--one a sturdy truck with a covered bed. She pointed to it, breaking the silence. "We could take cover in the bed of that truck. If we each take a night watch we should be safe."

"Yeah, that sounds fine." Don agreed, sounding equally as tired. His boot were dragging a little, but nevertheless he leveled a pistol at the door, approaching cautiously. "These're large windows." He observed, looking at the massive panes of glass that were meant to allow potential customers to see the store's pets. Now they served as an easy way for someone or something to enter. "Maybe this place has a backroom, that we could barricade."

Henry nodded.
"Sounds good to me. So long as whoever is on watch manages to wake the other two up fast enough to get out of there. That truck bed isn't exactly a large space."
He clicked the safety off his rifle.
"I'll take first watch. I'll wake you up," he nodded to Lavinia, "Around midnight. We should be awake and ready to roll out at dawn. The more ground we cover, the better. If you need rest, just wake up... What's your name? You never said it."

BIC: Group 1 (Adrian and Don)
The door to the shop opened slowly, and evening light shone into the room. Rows of cages lined the floor and most were filled with the skeletal remains of forgotten animals. A zombie struggled to get up from under a pile of crates that had been knocked oved in someone's hasty retreat from raiding the place. Near the back was a counter with one other zombie behind it, and a door to the right of said counter.

Group 2 (Lavinia and Henry)
The woman nodded. "That could work, I don't really see anything better." She climbed onto the bed of the truck, sitting down and looking around. There was enough space for the three of them, and very few zombies could be seen in the distance. "I'm sorry," she said, turning to Henry. "I never did say my name, did I? I'm Taylor, it's nice to meet the two of you. And again, I'm really sorry about breaking up the group. I wish they'd have come with us, it's safe in Denver."

Don coolly shot the first zombie in the head, sending a splatter of gore across the crates it was trapped under. Unconcerned by the mess Don quickly holstered his pistol, bending down to collect some of the crates. "You got that biter under control right?" He asked, glancing over his shoulder to see how Adrian was faring against the remaining zombie.

Taking the zombies' legs Don dragged them out of the pet store and a little ways down the darkening road. Depositing the bodies in a convenient ditch the survivor took the time to wash his hands in some of the clean ditch water. At least it looked cleanish, he wasn't about to drink it.

Returning to the pet store Don started stalking the crates by the door and window, creating a flimsy but capable barricade across the entrances. "Find anything in there?" He asked Adrian once his work was done.

Group 1 (Adrian and Don)
In the backroom were several boxes. Some had been torn open and looted, but two remained undisturbed. There were no windows or other doors in the backroom, and it was fairly empty.

Group 2 (Henry and Lavinia)
The woman gave a shrug. "I guess you might be right. But my group still would've accepted them. What you were before this all happened... it doesn't really matter. We're all survivors now and we all do what we need to do to live."

Group 1 (Adrian and Don)
The morning sun rose steadily into the sky, its light reaching far over the land and warming the air. It was going to be a hot day. Inside, the sound of a zombie slowly shuffling around outside the door could be heard. It had not yet detected the two survivors.

Group 2 (Henry and Lavinia)
After a fairly uneventful night with little to no problems with zombies, the sun rose silently. The woman had already woken up and was beginning to inspect the truck the three had slept in last night. Looking to the other two survivors, she pointed inside. "I think I see supplies in there," she said, looking in the window again.

Half asleep Don rubbed his eyes blinking owlishly several times. He'd taken over watch around two, and had been sitting on one of Adrian's crates, twiddling his thumbs and trying to stay awake. Alerted to the zombie's presence, he nudged the slumbering Adrian with his toe, whispering to his companion.
"We got a biter outside, I don't think it can get in, but don't make to much noise."

Title: Re: Survive the Crimson Sunrise II

Once the tarp had covered the window, Henry clicked the safety back onto his rifle and hit the stock into the tarp. Pulling it back, he grinned at the window, cracked, but still intact. He pulled the tarp back over the cracks and hit the window again. The window smashed, but barely gave off a sound. Henry reached through the broken window and unlocked the door.
"Alright. Let's see what we've got."

"Maybe," Don cautioned as he rolled up his sleeping bag. "At least the one I can hear, there might be others close by, staying silent. Better to be safe n' sorry." Swatting the zombie's reaching hands away Don quickly back peddled, drawing his knife in a single quick motion. Using his rifle like a club he nocked the undead creature off its feet, dropping down and stabbing it through the head three times in  quick succession.

Stepping away from the finished zombie, Don moved over to help Adrian, bloodied knife in-hand. "Keep an eye out for more of them." He warned his Greek companion. "There's always another few hiding 'bout somewhere."

Shouldering his now completed hunting rifle, Adrian looked for better cover, there was a building not too far away, but far enough that the sniper could get a shot off before he reached it.

"Don't want to poke our heads out to look." Don muttered, pressing his back against the metal of an abandoned car. It was at a time like this when Henry would've been very useful he'd know what to do, but there was no time for that now. Deciding to take a risk peered out over the hood of the car, casting a quick glance over the area before popping back down again. No shot rang out. That was a good sign, hopefully.

"I'll pop a few rounds over the car." Don called to Adrian. "While you make a dash for that building, see if you can spot the sniper. You might wanna leave your pack, it'll just slow you down."

Adrian considered leaving the pack, but assuming the sniper was distracted by Don, Adrian had more than enough time, besides, most of his ammunition was still in the pack.
The moment Don began firing to distract the sniper Adrian bolted across to the building, a shot rang out and Adrian could hear it hit the pavement behind him as he saw a flash from the second story of a building directly down the street. However, he managed to get to the building unharmed.
"Straight Ahead. Second Floor." He called to Don.

Giving Adrian a thumbs up to show he'd heard, Don reloaded his rifle, ramming rounds into the magazine and clicking it into place. He popped his head out for a moment to get his bearings, noting the building Adrian had indicated, he had a good angle on it, but of course, the sniper also had a good angle on him.

"Give me covering fire, and I'll take the shot." He told Adrian, closing his eyes and getting control of his breathing. "Fire whenever you're ready."
