EARTH!

The spaceship was in fact a Death Defying Beaver War Ship that was orbitting the Death Defying Beaver occupied planet Eronagga on it's way to the planet Apiousnonemous where they would be invading shortly after arriving. Time around the ship seemed to suddenly stop, and then the ship plunged forward into warpspace/hyperspace, leaving the planet behind.

It was quiet on the spaceship. Too quiet. Suddenly the engines malfunctioned. OH NO! They were all now trapped in another wormhole!

Hiag who was also trapped in said wormhole walked over to them. "G'day matez!" he said. "Yer trapped in ze vorm'ole taae zen, eh? Ach, ziz iz gettin' quite confuzin'!"
NARDOLE; You are completely out of your mind!

-Sometime later, the second mate was unexpectedly rescued by the subplot, which had been trailing a bit behind the boat (and the plot). The whole story moved along.
