Do you have slow scrolling?

Sometimes
Yes
Never

I'm not sure if it's just my computer, but scrolling down on the forum is really slow for me. On any other website my computer is fine and scrolling is normal. Not sure if it's something to do with coding on this site? I'm not much of a computer guru, so wouldn't know the first place to start in figuring that out.

Might it have something to do with whether or not you're viewing the forum in the redwallabbey.com frame or not?  I browse without the frame from http://www.redwallabbey.com/forum/index.php and I've never had a scrolling problem.

I sometimes get the same issue.
And from my experience, browsing without the frame offers no improvement.

I get that issue too. It's annoying.

I'm getting this issue, too. Could it have to do with slow computers?

Can I ask what web browser you guys are using? I've noticed jerky scrolling in Firefox but not IE.

I use Firefox without any problems.  I think what might cause an issue is if anyone is linking to a huge avatar and its trying to load...that could certainly cause jerky or slow scrolling.

I don't have any difficulties with scrolling on the forum. Then again, I am using a brand new laptop on my college's broadband connection.

This is a browser problem related to the forum theme (the classy fixed background image). Make sure you have the latest version of your browser (IE9, Firefox 4, etc).

That would actually be Firefox 5, for the record. Which I have for my browser for that matter.

I've had issues with this, too. I have no clue what browser I have, though. That might be part of it.

It could be a number of problems. Some mentioned already, probally browser.

You could try defragmenting your computer, sometimes it helps. Or check for dust on the fan inside your computer. Sometimes the video card can get overheating causing pause and delay on the monitor.

Often the problems lay inside the conection to the net and the process time from mouse scroll. I never found out how to solve this problem, sometimes it solves itself.

The Lady Shael

Those could be contributing factors, but since many people have mentioned the problem is only on this site, and not any others, still leads me to believe the main problem is the fixed background image (this is a known issue).

Not sure if our site admin is up to doing design modifications anytime soon though.
