It still is vanilla Minecraft, it just has a little more of a RP twist. If you want a totally different experience, I suggest looking into the Techniclauncher modpacks, or Feed The Beast.

Meh. Personally, I think Tekkit or FTB has a lot more depth than hexxit- There's more things to do than get extremely OP gear and kill everything one hit. No, instead you get extremely OP gear and then go to space/become an archmage/make a factory/do cool stuff.
