For all things relating to our favourite sassy Djinni.

If you haven't read the Bartimaeus series and have no problems with magic or extradimensional beings (whom humans call demons, but the spirits consider it to be a derogatory term) then pick them up, they're some of the best books you will ever read.

Also:

^Proof that Bartimaeus fans should read Skulduggery Pleasant.

I learned of this series in the sixth grade. I was immediately addicted to it....  :P

I actually like the prequel with Solomon's Ring. It has a better plot, in my opinion. Although all the books are great, especially from Bartimaeus' perspective. Best sense of humor since Lewis Black.

Ptolemy's Gate is my favourite in the series, but as with all the Bartimaeus books, Ring of Solomon is awesome.

That might be my favorite. I never really liked Nathaniel's character, especially at the beginning [duh] but honestly he was just a wimp throughout the whole series. Except with Kitty, she kicked his podex ( ;D). The second would probably win it, just because the troll[/i] Golem.

I don't think we were ever supposed to like Nathaniel except at the very start and the very end. That's not the point to him, he's there to show the corruption that power brings. Or at least, that's my opinion.

I agree. Then again, at least he isn't a Gary Stu.

Yeah, he was rather 'meh' in the second book. I was rather disappointed.

((Sorry for double post))

Ugh. I really, really want to smack Nathaniel on the right now. He's such an arrogant, pompous, annoying. . . . . Grrr.

I got the first two Bartimaeus books, because I tremendously enjoyed Lockwood & Co.
