That is a very hard decision. I would have to go for Rakkety Tam, for multiple reasons. It is more exciting, well-written, suspenseful, etc. I still love Taggerung, though
I love both, but I would have to say that Rakkety Tam is my favorite Redwall book ever.
Tagg, he is stronger than Tam and bigger not to mention it takes alot for him to die.

Well, Tagg is an otter and Tam's a squirrel...not really fair to compare strength like that. :d
And neither of them die easily.
I know it's not fair but Tagg would still win, also Taggerung's genearlly are more stronger than warrior squirrels.
I like Taggerung better because it strays from the typical Redwall Formula.

i didnt like taggerung much cause it didndt have much of a battle realy it was kinda a boring book to me
Yeah, it was. Still, I'd say Tagg would win, just because he's bigger.
I vote Tam because nobody else has! ;D Also because he beat a wolverine with minor injuries while Tagg was almost killed outright by a mere fox, if memory serves correct.

Bah, that's what I get for ignoring the polls. ::) However! My opinion is still the same; Rakkety Tam > Taggerung. So much more exciting, what with the flesh-eating wolverine and all.

Remember this is about the characters in the book, not members named after characters. ;D I have to say both of these characters are pretty great, I just can't get over that Scottish accent! So great!
it about the books not the characters actually. rakkety tam didn't clear that up for a while
