*shakes head* No, £ is the symbol for a pound. # is a hashtag.
Error. Error. Cannot compute.

Verdauga

For the British currency, it is. But for a pound of weight,  # is. I know why (kinda) it's called a hashtag, but it was and is a pound sign before that.

(I'm not serious, you know. I know that for Americans it means something different.)

(I had a filling you were, but I like flexing my knowledge of useless facts. At any rate, you were no longer bored, right?

So wait:

Teer used a pound-sign, and Eb unwittingly partook in a meme?
£ is a pound sign. # is a hashtag.
No. When I dial *86 to check voice mail, I have to input my password and press pound. On  gun forums, the pound sign (#) is used with recoil spring nomenclature. As a for instance, most .45 caliber handguns use 22# recoil springs.
Huh. Nice. As far as I'm concerned, # means sharp. (When it means anything. The way most people use it is in social media when they want an excuse to not space their words and not use proper punctuation) I still don't recall using such a sign though.

I was thinking more checkmate, as another meaning, rather than sharp.
Error. Error. Cannot compute.

The apostrophe shouldn't be there.
