Anyone interested in Mythology? This is the place for Mythology people to post stuff about Mythology, I'll start off with a quiz

where does the saying between a rock and a hard place come from? (yes that is related to mythology)

What is the difference between a griffin and a hippogriff?

What is a Barghest?

What is black shuck?

What is the difference between a phoenix and a firebird?

What is cetus?

What were Medusa's sisters called?

What is the blood of gods and titans called?

Were there any more cyclopes than Polyphemus THAT ARE MENTIONED in Greek mythology?

Who was Argus?

What was the name of the owner of Pegasus?

What was the name of Odysseus' aide?

What was the name of Odysseus' wife?

What was the name of Odysseus' son?

Who was Prometheus' brother?

What was Prometheus' brother's wife called?

Why is she famous?

How was the minotaur born? detail the exact cause

Well, there's loads more myths other than Greek. I won't mention specifics, in respect to those who still believe them. I can only answer a few off the top of my head, but I know plenty more.

The difference between a hiplogriff and griffin is that the hippogriff has the back of a horse and griffin that of a lion.

Medusa and her sisters were called the Gorgons.

Argus was a man created by Hera with a hundred eyes.

I think it differs from where the mythology is coming from, but phoenix are usually reference with rebirth where I think firebirds are usually referenced with fire.
