Huh. I was sure I remembered Bartimaeus being in America at some point, even if it was only a mention. Then again, I somehow thought the whole tomb sequence was in book three, so my memory probably can't be trusted (I do remember how book three ends, and I'm pretty certain I've remembered that correctly.
