Ara woke up in a cozy little room, sparsely furnished, but not uncomfortable. He paused to let his mind catch up. That squirrel! Him! Ara remembered the concoction he had prepared for them.
"This will take you to the labyrinth. But would you really drink? None have escaped who have entered. Nyeheheh! Drink, if you will, but know it is for your doom!".......Then, further back in his mind, he remembered the old mouse, living in his own little cave....Absoballylutely mad, he was, but he was where this all converged.
"Yes, the labyrinth. I know about it." he rasped.
"No one else does, do they? You woudn't ha' come here otherwise. So what do you want? The map? Of course you do. And how much will you give for it?".......The weasel he had held at knife-point....
" Wot?!? The ole mouse by the river? 'e's mad as a hatter! Why do you wanna know where he lives?"......and finally, the bones. The skeleton, seated, in that ruined outpost. Fallen brick surrounded the chair in that stucture, as it was bound to collapse at any moment. And yet, lying on the floor underneath the skeleton's paw, was the parchments. With all the other spoils it came as no surprise Ara was the only one that noticed. And yet, it was all he could notice. Whoever the beast was, he was waiting. Waiting to die. Waiting to tell about the labyrinth. Waiting to surrender the last documents acknowledging its existence. Back in the present, Ara shifted his gaze to one side of the room. A door, presumably leading out. glancing the other way reavealed another door, nearer. When he tried it however, it would not open.
"Deeper into the labyrinth, then" He walked to the other door, which opened effortlessly, and strode out.
Aaaand that how it's gonna start people! you can either start in the same room as Chycer, or you can pop in later on.
My character:
Indiana JonesAra Chycer
-Ara Chycer, Philosopher
-mid-thirties
-male
-hare
-wears a clean, well-knit vest that has been patched several times, and dark grey trousers, also patched.Cream furred. Slightly shorter than most hares.
-carries a sling and a short sword.
-subtly assertive. Ara will be the leader of the group or he will not be in that group. That said, he attempts to avoid seeming domineering, and veils his ambition underneath humor.
-Ara never really was part of a structured group. The one band he inhabited had, in his opinion, intolerably slack attitudes. He took it upon himself to lead and has led everything he has been a part of ever since. He had wandered Mossflower for a short time building a unit of woodlanders, and even vermin, for him to rule. That is, until he divined that he was meant to solve Mossflower's greatest secrets. Since then, he's traveled into some of Mossflower's least-ventured, and most dangerous, places...
EDIT:All right. My original intention was the characters being part of a group Ara hired, as it gives a little more coherence to why they're all there. It doesn't have to be that way, but that's what I had in mind. If you guys don't want it to be that way, say so (but you might have to put a reason for being in the labyrinth.) Now I'm gonna get off 'cause the internet is
sssllllooowww.
WOO
I'll get a char put together once you've got more of the plot put up.
WOOHOOO! Here's my submission!
Name: Brink Ironspikes
Gender: Male.
Species: Hedgehog.
Age: Roughly 30 seasons.
Weapons: He carries a long dirk and a thick mace.
Appearance: A large hedgehog, broad of shoulder.
Personality: An irrepressible rogue. He tends to laugh at his own jokes (He believes that he's hilarious), and can be greedy at times.
History: He had been a warrior who wandered the lands, seeking for adventure, riches, and a chance to make a name for himself. Once he caught word that a hare named Ara Chycer was hiring beasts to help him something beyond their wildest dreams in a labyrinth, his interest was piqued...
So far, accepted.
I'm gonna draw up some concept art. Bye.
Might as well join in. Here's my character:
Spoiler
Name: Waiata Kaitito.
Species: Pekapeka. (bat, in this case, long tailed)
Age: Twenty-three seasons.
Gender: Female.
Appearance: Brown, almost black fur and dark brown eyes. Fairly big for her species and well-muscled.
Personality: Very cheerful and bubbly, always willing to help another creature in need. It is rare that she doesn't have a smile and her glare, when it is used, can be very intimidating. (if the recipient of said glare can see it, that is) Also likes to sing. (hence the name)
History: Spent all her life in the labyrinth and still hasn't managed to get to the end of it, though she firmly believes that she could find a way out if she didn't have to come home every night.
Weapons: She can be very effective with her teeth and claws and can also stun a beast using a clever trick her father taught her. Also has a small dagger that she found while exploring.
Name: Dantinare (Goes by Dantin).
Species: Mouse
Age: Early teens
Gender: Male.
Appearance: Dantin is on the smaller side, thinly built, with a body that, while not strong, is quite used to more cardio-based endeavors. He has varying shades of brown to dark brown fur that blends in easily with most environments. He wears a dusty old tunic and cloak, and sports a few leather straps across his torso that don't seem to have an apparent purpose.
Personality: Extremely shy and wary of people in general, whether they be goodbeast or vermin. He isn't much of a talker himself, but he does tend to enjoy listening to others talk, though this isn't something that often occurs. In his down time, he likes to write little songs and sing to himself. He's never sung in front of anybeast though, and just the thought of doing so makes him want to run and hide. His songs are usually about the beauty of life and the world, as these are the things he enjoys most. He hopes to one day have enough courage to be able to make a friend.
History: He's wandered alone for as long as he can remember. Always skirting the edges of civilization and avoiding anybeast he meets, afraid to get too close. He doesn't know where this inner fear stems from, but he assumes something happened when he was younger which he can't remember that has caused this. Through the years though, he's come to realize that he's quite good at hiding, climbing, and other more dexterous endeavors. One evening as he prepared to sleep, he thought he heard something in the forest, but couldn't find anything. As he slept that night, multiple times he partially woke before drifting back off, thinking he was hearing somebeast chattering to themselves nearby. Suddenly, he bolted upright spluttering, coughing up a bitter concoction upon the floor and gasping for air. As he gratefully sucked air into his lungs, he realized something was amiss. He was no longer in a forest, but an unfamiliar room. He was now in... THE LABYRINTH!
Fighting: He isn't much of a scrapper, but he's very good at dodging attacks and seems to have an unnatural amount of luck. He tends to try and keep his distance and uses a surprisingly large collection of throwing knives that he's acquired piecemeal over the years to great effect.
Name (I'm no good at thinking up names, when I get one, I'll add it)
Species: shrew
Gender: female
Age: never counted. Claims she's only 20 seasons old.
Weapons: can use a rapier, and has one, but prefers using a bow. If needed, she will use any weapon, but is best at shooting, and very accurate. Not very good at hand to hand fighting.
Personality: intelligent, and thinks she's always right. Very sarcastic at times, but to her really good friends, is quite friendly. Likes a good debate.
History: scared of the water, so left the tribe she was in. Since then, she's been a lone wanderer, never staying anywhere for more than half a season, maybe one season if it was a bad winter and too dangerous to wander alone.
So far, both accepted. I'm modifying my first post, to help set up the RP some more.
Mmmm, my char isn't really one that would join a group or be hired. What other ways can one end up in the Labyrinth?
Neither is Shisteer's... If you guys can put in any interactions with the squirrel that led to you guys being put in the labyrinth, that might work.
Well, for Teer, it sounds like her char was born and raised there (which sort of makes sense with her being a bat and all). Plus, that could be explained by her parents getting stuck in the Labyrinth, I guess? We don't really know enough about it to discern what makes sense and what doesn't ;D
I'm pretty sure my char likely wouldn't willingly enter the Labyrinth without a very good reason (I don't actually know what you get out of "completing" the Labyrinth, now that I think about it). Is there any reasons he could be forcibly drawn there? (You can PM me as well, if you don't want to give too much away.)
Yeah, Waiata was born and grew up in the labyrinth.
All right! So far everyone's accepted. Give me a couple days to set up the topic.
Okay, sounds good.
Nevermind.
Okay everyone: I will set up the topic either later today or tomorrow. Mark my words!
They have been marked! And before we get started, any rules you want to put in place upfront: length of post, order of people posting or anything else you can think of?
Well, I'm gonna presume that my PC has hired Seb's and Booklover's, so I'd prefer if they posted first. But that would only be for the beginning. After that, any order is fine. As for post length, I'd say two sentences at least, although most of you will post longer than that. That's all I can think of.
Hmmm, I couldn't find anything particularly about this, but is there anything in place for waiting for people to post from different time zones, so that the story doesn't run off without them? I know back in the day that could be a bit of an issue.
I suppose that could be an issue....if you're talking to either Shisteer or Booklover (Since their time zones are the furthest away), you might want to drop an @ for them to notice; or, giving a out-of-character sign-off in your post (i.e. OOC: It's time for me to get off. I'll be back in a couple hours)
That said, most of you are pretty active, so I don't quite believe it matters.
Well, we'll just have to not go too far ahead when someone isn't around. Like, for me, I'm basically never on the same time as Teer, so if me and someone else started posting a ton during the day (for me), she might get a bit left behind.
But yeah, I also don't think this'll be an actual problem, of course. I think we'll purposefully stop ourselves before that happens, I just didn't know if there were any existing rules in place for that sort of thing.
It's unlikely, but if need be I'll post to stop for the day, until every player's had the chance to look at the posts.
I've been a little bit busy lately but things should start getting better in a couple of weeks. If I'm going to be away for a while (meaning, more than twenty-four hours), I'll just have Waiata make an excuse of why she has to go somewhere.
And so it begins.
So it does. I should have waited till either Seb or Booklover were on, but meh.
Eh, it's all good. They'll be on later today anywho. I'm really looking forward to it though!
Well, not for long. I do lots of clubs on Tuesdays (one at lunch, two after school, plus every other week another club after school). So I don't have much time.
No matter. Post when you can.
Alright, so if I were to post first, how should I start? Should I already be hired, or should
@Verdauga's character hire me right off the bat? I don't really have a preference.
I think I'll come in sometime after you've left the room. It seems a little bit too bright for a bat.
Sebias' and Booklover's characters have already been hired. I'd imagine the party would be walking for a little while before meeting Kade's or Shisteer's character. As crazy as the squirrel is, he wouldn't venture into the labyrinth if he knew there were people living there.(Yeah, he tosses people in there, but they can only live so long without food, and the squirrel thinks the labyrinth doesn't have any.)
I figure we'd start out with Seb and Booklover either in the same room as me, or just outside; meet Kade's character first, then meet Shisteer's on one of her rambles. Or Shisteer's first and then Kade's.
Yesh, now just need to wait for Sebias to post! Mines already all typed up and waiting to go ;D
@Kade Rivok if it has something to the effect of "Dantin heard somebeasts walking down the corridor and...[went and introduced himself]" I'll let you post. I'm not holding fast to the post order.
It's, ah, a bit more than that. I'll just hold off for now.
*Falls asleep*
I doubt all my posts will be that long, FYI. T'was, er, setting the stage.
Nah dude, it's fine. Shows you've RPed before
Seb? Booklover? Do either of you want to take the next post?
Do I have to wait for Seb or can I join in now?
*Gathp* Kade that was a long post. :P

Do I have to wait for Seb or can I join in now?
You can go now if you want.
I'd say go for it now, but I'm not the GM :P
You're char could run into the others, or come across mine and free him before the others show up, or my guy could get bored and burn the door down ;D
I'm not gonna stop anyone from posting.
@Teer, if you want to go for it, go ahead.
Sweet, thanks.
Edit: Done.
Cool. Its gonna be interesting playing this out with a bat that knows the labyrinth.....and since Seb's character didn't notice....split-party. This'll be fun. I'll post next.
Wait...I thought that mouse was Kade? My bad I guess. :P
Ach, I should've elaborated....The mouse was Kade, but since his and Shisteer's characters started speaking, and yours didn't notice, the halves of the party aren't near enough to join. Either of you can get us out of this (even though it's kind of fun) by posting that you heard beasts. But, unless and until that happens, the party is split.
I think I'll wait till Dantin responds to Waiata.
The room Dantin is in was only supposed to have one way in; the door that he can't get open. Teer, it sounds like Waiata is in the room with him, is that what you were going for? It's fine if you are, of course, I just wanted to clarify ^-^
Yeah, that's what I'm going for. Is that alright or should I change it? (I can edit my post, if you want me to)
Nah, it's cool, Dantin'll just be quite surprised
Okay. Waiata can cope with that.
I think I'll make a character in the next 12 hours - mark my words!
Sounds good to me! *marks Mathluk's words on a piece of paper*
@Verdauga Did you mean to call Brink a mole?
*Facepalms*
RIGHT AFTER MENTIONING HE WAS A HEDGEHOG TOO!!!
Apparently. Probably because of the other RP I'm in. Lemme go modify my post
;D
Name: Algirdas Torunis
Gender: Male
Species: Squirrel
Age: Around 32
Weapons: Three daggers. Algirdas has every idea how to use them, but hopefully he has no need to do so.
Appearance: He, like his kin, has a coat of grey fur.
Personality: Algirdas is a lover of mysteries, to the point of not knowing when exactly to quit. Timid from childhood, Algirdas is also quite obsessed with every detail of a thing he likes, like carvings, coins and wine.
History: Algirdas grew up in Southsward, but he soon teamed up with a certain Ara Chycer for an expedition towards the Northlands. The disagreeable squirrel soon saw pay disagreements arise, and did not renew his contract. After some adventuring on his own, including analysing stone from the Mossflower quarry, he caught wind of Chycer's journey to the mysterious labyrinth, and decided to beat his old employer to its secrets - for fame, fun and curiosity.
No problems from me.
That makes two.
The more the merrier! (and also more confusing, but that's not the point)
So there's three.. Seb? Booklover?
*Whispers* I think BL just responded
I think I did as well.
*Facepalms again*
I'm sorry guys.
Seb? *Ahem* Shisteer?
No problem! Glad to have ya, MathLuk! :)

Nah, I think it'll work. Anyway, that's four.
Then all is well!
Now, to wait for an opportunity...
Yeah, he's good. Maybe Kade and I can be on his team and our characters can be kind of competitive. (I say kind of because, my character, anyway, will be willing to help anybeast out of danger)
That could make sense as well, because on one side you have Ara with the map, and on the other you have Waiata who knows the place really well. Don't know if we want competing factions though, depends on what kind of... things Verdauga has in store for us! *dun dun duuuuuuun*
*An evil grin spreads across my face.*
We won't be competing for long. >:D
@MathLuk ?Do you want to take the next post? Ara really can't do much right now other than "Followed Brink down the hallway, eye-ing the runes on the wall." I could do a little more foreshadowing, of course.

And you want to run into the other party first, right? I'll let Teer or Kade answer next then.
Yep.
Sorry for taking so long to reply to stuff. Life got in the way. (I've managed to shove it aside now though)
Everything ok?
Yeah, everything's fine. I just had an unexpected social gathering (said with distaste, in my sister's voice) I had to attend.
Nah, it's okay. Life takes precedence.
So, just to let everyone know, the labyrinth isn't magical. It's easier amd closer to the original world.
The characters:

Previous post has been updated, by the by.
Thanks. I think I'll chime in soon.
I won't be able to today, perhaps tomorrow??
Okay. I could shout out to halt the posting, if you want.
Ach, I'll go ahead and do so.
Attention: I'm going to let Booklover post next to make sure the game doesn't leave her behind. You guys can post if you do not move the game past the current scene. That is, Shisteer and Kade could post that they went to the door to see the other party, and Seb could post that he say Mathluk's character in the doorway, but no further than that.
I hope that was clear enough...
There are so many things I could say about your use of the word 'Halt', but I won't. Will somebody else, though?
No?
No, this is a serious matter. We have been told to arretez and so we shall.
Very well. Operations shall be ceased.
@Booklover have you had a chance to chime in?

Well, I was busy for most of yesterday. I'll see if I can today, tomorrow may be difficult.
Well, post when you can.
Think you'll be able to today?
That fine?
You know, I don't know if Brink and [-insert name here-] know him.... I suppose I'll have Ara introduce them.
EDIT: the party is split no more.
Who knows? Maybe we randomly met one time in the woods?
Well... we may have met somewhere else - we'll fill in the details in the RP itself, but it would be probably on Algirdas's travels.
Yeah, I personally don't think that's a problem
Woops. (This is what happens when you have to be away from your compute for an hour.)
I was just going to have them newly introduced. :-\ That okay?
Ara could introduce them, since he doesn't necessarily know that they already know each other, and they can RP that however they want, I would think.
Can't do much on my side - have to sleep anyways.
Goodnight.
I think I'll wait till Booklover catches up and all the other introductions have been finished before I emerge from the shadows, if that's alright.
Okay. We could let Seb chime in if he comes on before Booklover.
Well, I've posted now.
Good work. I, too, have posted.
I might still wait till Seb posts.
Give me a bit before I reply.

*Arrives flustered* Ahem, sorry for any delay, I was gone on a trip. Soooo, should I just have Brink introduce himself?
Sure. I was gonna post myself, but that will give me more time to come up with what to say.
Okay then. Gimme a sec...
@Verdauga Not a big deal, but in your post it sounded like Ara could still see Waiata, but she flew back into the darkness with Dantin so she shouldn't be visible anymore.
I'm gonna wait for one or two more people to post before I do so myself.
Well, she did show herself, and Ara probably saw the general direction she flew in, so he spoke in that direction. I'll modify my post to clarify though. Also, he was calling out rather loudly the second time he addressed her, so I'll add a few exclamation points.
;D Alrighty
So who should post next?
I'll do it soon, but I'll wait for another first.
Okay. I might wait after you then. :)
Hello all! should I pop in again?
Yes.
I think Teer will need to go before you, unless you aren't gonna post anything that moves stuff along. Right now we can't progress really until Dantin and Waiata join the group (or DON'T join the group >:D) and that will likely ride on her next post. If you're group want to do some talking betwixt each other in the mean time, though, that would likely work.
@shisteer of nothing much By the by, feel free to GM Dantin if Waiata is like "Let's join up" and our characters need to head into the torchlight or something.
There isn't a lot that I can do on my end. I suppose I'll wait until after Kade and Teer reply again, unless they already have.
Well, I did post, but Teer won't be able to until tonight (for us) I'd imagine. My post didn't really move anything along though.
No matter. I'd post myself, but it would go along the lines of "Ara heard hushed tones coming from the pitch-dark room, and wondered what Dantin and Waiata were saying to each other." Which wouldn't move the plot. Booklover and Seb could chime in about the meet-and-greet, but that wouldn't move the plot along much either.
Teer, will you be able to post soon?
Okay, sorry guys. Life has been interesting again. I'll go post now.
Edit: Done.
Can I join?
I don't see anything wrong with it, though you'd have to come up with a reason for your char to be there. You could be a sibling of Waiata even (or anyone of us, I suppose ;D though I figure Waiata would be the most obvious choice for that). Do you have an idea for a character?
I would like to see your reason for being in the Labyrinth before I let you join. You are pretty much limited to being a sibling of Teer's character, but I suppose you could be a colleague of Mathluk's character. You could even be an employee of my character's. You could even be thrown into the Labyrinth by the squirrel. For options two and three, you'd have to collaborate with Mathluk, or We'd have to edit our posts to include you. Being thrown into the maze independently from us is starting to give off the impression the squirrel does that every weekend.
Keep all of this in mind.
EDIT: I did close the sign-up some time ago (first post) but you have a small time that you can get in.
If she does want to be Waiata's sibling, that would be fine by me. Eb and I could plot proceedings together so that we both know what's going on and such and can join forces to make it work.
Okey-dokey, then.
@Ebantu the Kararehe We eagerly await your character sheet. (Man, this RP just keeps growing.)
Give her a day or so. If she hasn't done it by then, I'll get on her case. It's convenient knowing people in real life.
Help! Let me live! Sorry I forgot where to find this. Pretty stupid, I know. Yes, please help me Teer! Should we discuss it one Tuesday after riding maybe?
We could do it sooner than that. How about Monday at the end of year thingamijig? I'll bring a notepad.
Oddly, this didn't pop up on my 'unread topics' page.
But okay.
Okay, here's my character profile:
Name: Pekepeke Kaitito
Species: Bat, long tailed
Age: Seventeen seasons
Gender: Female
Appearance: Brown fur with a silver stripe running from the right shoulder to her left footpaw. Hazel eyes and black claws.
Personality: Bouncy, figuratively and literally. She has a habit of jumping from one subject of conversation to another, and tends not to think things through. She idolises her older sister, Waiata.
History: Spent all her life in the labyrinth and follows Waiata wherever possible, sometimes getting into quite a lot of trouble.
Weapons: Teeth, claws, and wings.
Sweet! I've edited my last post for your benefit, Eb. You're good to go.
Thanks.
....I don't see anything wrong with it, so I'm gonna go ahead and accept it. It's added at the bottom of the character list here:
Ara Chycer
Brink Ironspikes
Waiata Kaitito
Dantinare/Dantin
The Wanderer
Algirdas Torunis
Pekepeke Kaitito
We might want to call it there as far as members go. That's a lot of people
Perhaps *Grins maliciously* Perhaps not.
But I did close the signup back on the 25th.
Should I chime in, or do any of you want to post first?
Thank for letting me join! This is going to be fun. ^-^
Ah, don't mention it. I hope it is fun; it's barely even gotten underway.
(We have many.....surprises....in store....Nyeh, nyeh, nyeh.... >:D)
*is excited and expectant*
Hello, darlings! Should I pop in and post?Actually, I think I'll let Mathluk post if he comes on before I do tomorrow.
Sounds good to me! Let me know if you need me to chime in or anything.
I might chime in tomorrow. I'm on my phone right now and I don't want to make long posts. You guys can continue for now, if you want.
Okay. Although, I'm the only RPer on right now, so... I'll wait too.
I'll wait for basically everyone to get up to date before I post anything significant, unless someone wants me to do otherwise.
Yeah, same.
I'll post soon. Promise.
So, who should post next?
Anyone can. I'll post next when the party's caught up, and maybe use Teer and Eb's characters' knowledge of the labyrinth to help unlock the door.
What should we do after the door is unlocked? Or should we cross that bridge when we get there?
Well, go through it, obviously. :D
But, being serious, we'll probably just continue on, and avoid any traps I might set (we're in a labyrinth; there's no point hiding traps.) So, in other words, we'll cross it when we get there.
We haven't had any traps so far. Maybe you should spring one on us soon.
Yes, please do!
Either way, someone should post something soon. Nothing's happened for three days.
Indeed. At this point, Dantin is more passive and reactive rather than active, so he wouldn't go and try the door on his own. Someone with a less timid char should probably do something ;D
Believe it or not, I am trying to work this out.
*Starts chuckling.* The entire RP... stopped because of a
door....
Thanks
@Booklover for posting. I'm still trying to get everything worked out, but I might just go ahead and get through.
Should I come up and read the runes or does somebody else want to do it?
Woops....sorry. But....we're through now!...that's good....right?
I was gonna ask about this actually, Verdauga. When it comes to puzzles and traps and the such, how are you gonna handle that? Like, for the door, it didn't have runes until someone other than you said that it did in one of their posts. Is that ok, or are you wanting to have everything set up beforehand and describe it to us, then we try and figure it out? Or something else?
......Yeah........
Alright, so,
The runes being on the door weren't very necessary, but they might be more so on future traps. That said, runes in the labyrinth are rather superfluous anyway. I'll describe future traps as fully as I can, but I didn't pace out the door real well, which led to this. I had talked with Teer earlier about runes on the door, so that wasn't powerplaying. But yeah... GMing is kinda tough :P
Sorry. I did at least post though.
Ah, don't be sorry. Planning this out is my job. Thanks for posting though.

Sorry. I did at least post though.
No no, I wasn't criticizing you or anything. I just wanted to clear things up since I was unsure.
We should possibly wait for the other members of the party, such as Sebias and Ebantu, to post before moving forward much more. We don't want to leave them behind. (or do we?)
No, we don't. Hold your horses everyone.
Neigh
If
@Ebantu the Kararehe doesn't post today, I'll just drag her along for the next week or so. (not literally)
Dang *Thought Teer was speaking literally.*
Waiata might literally drag Pekepeke along but it will be difficult to dray Eb anywhere, for a number of reasons, the first of which is that she's not here. (or she won't be tomorrow)
Sorry, I only just saw the mention. What do you want me to do?
Post or something, methinks
**EDIT**
Just saw that you already did ;D
Quote from: Ebantu the Kararehe on December 17, 2019, 11:22:13 PM
Sorry, I only just saw the mention. What do you want me to do?
We just need to make sure that nobeast gets left behind in the labyrinth.
Does anyone want to post before I do? Liiiiiiiike....Seb? Booklover?
Not really.
We would appreciate it if you did post eventually.
It'd be nice to know your and Seb's characters are still alive.
It would be nice to know Seb is still alive.
^
I might just go on.
Holy smokes! *Sees the mention and comes flying into topic* I don't have time now, but I'll try to post soon. Should my character say or do anything in particular?
Just post if you can.
@MathLuk we'll need you soon.
Um... what's going on? It might be a good idea if you tell us what to do, Boss. I have no idea what's going to happen now.
Yeah, I should have given a little more detail. The spikes are wooden, by the way. I'm going to use that fact, by the way. Just trying to give a little more danger to the labyrinth here.
You probably should have mentioned the existence of the spikes too.
Probably. They're just gonna help each other up, and the trap will be disarmed.
By the way, Mathluk doesn't have to post. I can just move him up in my next post if that's okay. Or, Brink and Wanderer can help him and Ara up, while the rest are looking for the disarming lever.
Does anybeast have some rope? That would probably be the best way to get you two up. Alternatively, you could climb the rough stone walls of the hole? Is there anything in particular us bats should do or can we just flutter around, getting in everyone's way?
...sorry.
You could take Eb's character with yours and go search for a disarm switch (let's just make it a lever like right around the corner.) If I can get Booklover and Seb to get Mathluk's and my characters out of the pit. That said, I'm pretty sure most of the characters (Dantin, Waiata, and Pekepeke excluded) would have a rope. I'll let the other post first though.
I'll do my best to comment soon. I got distracted by my fanfic.
Edit: done.
Thanks for posting though. I'll let Seb post before I do, and let him have the rope.
I've found the lever but it's a bit big for one bat to put to use so I'm waiting for Pekepeke to come help me. (I think the young one missed your post about him having the rope though)
It'll be okay. Post order doesn't matter much now. I'll wait until the others post.
Oops, yeah. Sorry about that. :P
@MathLuk I want to let you post that your character leaves the pit before letting Teer and Eb disarm the trap, but I could move your character with my post if you want (
is est, if you don't have time to post).
Try and make it sooner, rather than later. I'm going to disappear soon.
I probably won't be on tomorrow.
Sorry for taking so long. I had to paint a hallway, and couldn't post.
That's alright. What colour?
It is Christmas, family time, reading books and painting hallways are good excuses. Better than the taniwha eating your homework.
White, and actually priming it, not painting.
Oh, okay. And Booklover, who said anything about a taniwha eating homework? Paper doesn't taste as good as one might think.

If anyone ever needs me, pop me a @ mention.
Got it. I'm waiting for Mathluk to post.
(Let's try not to deviate much from the topic guys. ;))
I'm leaving tomorrow for two weeks, and I won't have a computer, so, if you need Waiata to do anything, just... I don't know, get Ebby to do it or something. Feel free to borrow my character for whatever purposes you need, as long as it's still my character.
Noted. Have a good trip.
Yeah, have a good trip; we'll miss your maniacal charms!
Maniacal charms? I think I'll take that as a compliment.
Indeed, I meant it as one ^-^
Have a good trip!

That's why it's such a bad excuse.
Ah, I see. What's happening in the labyrinth?
Not a lot, to be honest. I suppose I'll see what I can do to keep it alive.
Edit:>_- Guys?
Come on everyone! Get your chars making some conversations! It'll flesh out their personality some and help everyone else know what kind of beasts they are. Plus, the RP won't go anywhere otherwise -_-
*Puts up a gigantic neon finger sign pointing at Kade's reply.*
Converse, people! Talk!
You guys can even have the party take corners and go through doors.
(But the party avoids all traps, and you should tell which direction they're turning.)
Rare opportunities, people!
I'm on it! Sooner or later!
I'll try to post...
I'm going to be too busy to post today, so I'll let you guys keep chattering
You guys really haven't done much in the last two weeks. I just turned everyone left, by the way.
Blame that on the others ;D Eb hasn't posted either, by the by, get her on that!
(Double post, I know)
@Ebantu the Kararehe If you've got all this free time, then post in the RP! ;D
She's out today but I'll get on her case tomorrow.
Noted.
I'm going to let you guys talk it out for a bit before I post (but I'll obviously answer if your characyers talk to my character.)
Sorry I haven't posted for a while. Teer nagged me yesterday so I'll do it now.
I nagged you today as well.
All right; thanks for posting.
I'm gonna let you guys post a little more so I don't hog the RP.
I don't think we're worried about that
Yeah, it might be helpful to have some more input. (somebeast needs to pester Seb and Booklover)
You're right. Let us see if this works.

@@Guys?
You all can try and strike up conversations with each other and the such, ya know. Even though me and Teer are talking, other conversations can be happening as well, so don't feel like we're shutting you out or anything ^-^
We could have them fall into the trap and be... lost forever...
And ditto to what Kade said.
I think that a plan of what's happening next will help, as opposed to wandering and talking.
I have an event planned that will remove many oppurtunities for character development, so I'm letting you guys kinda do what you want.
That sounds... foreboding.
#foreshadowing.
All of the above.
Yeah, adding onto Kade's statement, you could also butt into our conversation, if you want. We're not discussing anything particularly secretive.
Thing is, Ara has to be on the lookout for traps, and he does listen in on the party, but it will seem more like muttering to him, because he's ahead of the group. I might have him talk to the Wanderer and Brink soon though.
I think she meant more of a generalized "you", but you aren't wrong
Also, Teer's out there throwing curve-balls ;D
Sorry for the double post, but just to clarify (And Verdauga, correct me if I'm wrong) I believe that the setting is understood to be... somewhere in the Redwall timeline (just obviously regarding a place that isn't in the books). That being said, whenever we're planning to make a statement IC that will affect or add something to the setting, it should probably go through Verdauga first since he's technically running this RP.

I beg to differ! For a start, I'm very much
in here, thank you very much! I'm no outsider and you know it! Second point, I'm not throwing anything. It would be more accurate to say I'm spitting fire-balls, especially considering the subject matter that you so wrongfully accuse of being curved.
I posted... Finally. :P
Btw, I made Brink's personality a bit prickly, so if anybeast would like to start a brawl with him over some small misunderstanding, or something, I think that could work. It would sure make things interesting at least... >:D
Good job.
Waiata is a bit too peaceful to start fighting with anybeast but it would certainly be entertaining. I'll see if I can cook up some reason to fight...
Yeah. Somebody reminded me I needed to post. *Coughs and shoots a glance at Teer* ;D
Okay. Hmm... And how intense should the fight be I wonder? Enough for the group to split up, or...?
Maybe just enough to provide ample entertainment while we wait for Verdauga to spring his next trap? (if we annoy him enough, he might decide to spring the trap on us. That would be fun. *rubs paws together and cackles evilly*)
Should I build off of Seb's post, or do you guys want to handle it?

Just want you guys to know: you can have your characters fight, but since mine is used to organizing bands from normally warring parties, he won't be in the best of moods if they fight.

I could, I suppose.
Either way, somebeast should post something. You're leaving me hanging.
Well, Chycer isn't going to fight, Dantin won't fight, The Wanderer is more likely to argue and observe, so Brink is pretty much the only option. I might add some scene though.
I think it was Brink that wanted to fight in the first place. I just volunteered. (though I might come to regret that)
Let's hope not ^-^
Sorry, Seb. You left it too late. Waiata is sorry for snapping at you and is determined to be happy and peaceful for the rest of the trip.
Oh no ;D
*lifts eyebrow questioningly*
Elaborate?
I would if I know what that word meant! ^-^
It basically means to explain your ideas, or expand on them. (in my words) The dictionary's interpretation of it is "To work out with care and detail; develop thoroughly."
So basically, I'm asking you to further develop your statement (Oh no. *smiley face*) into something that is easier understood by the rest of us.
I am so behind on this RP. :P

Oh, you know, just the thought of your (or your character I guess) being determined to be peaceful. It's like "Oh no, Teer has to be peaceful!"
It's funny, 'cause you aren't. ;D *runs away*
You better run! I'll give you a headstart, otherwise it'll be too easy to finish your miserable life and I won't have as much fun. *whispers to Verdauga* He's actually kind of right. There's a reason they call me a Taniwha.
Skarzs' character
Name: The Stoneater
Species: ??
Age: ??
Personality; ??
Description: The Stoneater.
Myths say it sleeps in the darkest recesses of the Labyrinth, a giant monster with skin like stone, blood red eyes that can pierce and see through the darkness as if it were a summer day, and feet that make the very earth shake with its steps. It can smell an open wound miles away, hear the slightest flutter of a moth's wing, and knows every path through the labyrinth.
Parents tell their children that if they cry or yell too much, the Stoneater would hear, and wake up to eat them. But no screaming child has woken it from its slumber yet, and to those who have even heard of it, it is nothing more than a story, a myth of a tale passed down through time and changed into countless versions.
However. . . all myths began somewhere, and sometimes the most terrifying are the ones that are true. . .

I thought it was suspicious how he had posted this initially, then was like "Nevermind" ;D
I wondered if you saw it.
Also, you guys are waaaayyyy too political. Let's get some angst. Some real emotions flowing from the situation they're in rather than talking and talking and talking. ;D ;D ;D
My char has been plenty angsty, thank you very much.
;D
Now I need to look at the topic.
Hey, Skarzs. do you want your character to "introduce" itself to the party?
It will find them.
Well, something to make them start running, preferably in the right direction. I don't want to literally bump into the stoneater.
I mean, just based off the name we don't really have anything to fear though. ;D
......
BIC: Dantin ran straight into the gaping maw of the Stoneater. His final agonizing screams warned the party to start running.
Just kidding ;D
Nah, man. I may be rock hard *flexes* but Dantin isn't ;)
I think I'm going to make Waiata freak out, completely. (just for interest's sake) I want Sebias to post first though. (Ring, ring, hello?
@Sebias of Redwall ?)
Stop sandbagging me :(
Elaborate?
It was an elaborate sandbag, you are correct.
Also, I've suddenly become curious; Teer/Eb, how large are your chars relative to other beasts? I've assumed mouse sized up 'till now.
(*Is still confused about the sandbag but whatevah.*)
Waiata is larger than Pekepeke, but I'd put them at mouse otter sizes. And I need to check the actual topic. Bye.
Sandbagging is what you are doing when you completely ignore what somebody has said, acting like it never happened.
*Laughs in the past.*
I'm about the size of a mouse, and I don't think Waiata is an awful lot bigger than me.
Yeah, I think we're on the small side of mouse, but not tiny. Waiata is about half a head taller than Pekepeke and her wingspan is about a paw-length larger, either side.
Kkool
Ebby has run out of data and I'm not sure when she gets a top-up so she might not be posting for the next few days. (though I could be wrong. I'll see what I can do on Sunday, anyway)
Alright. I'll respond to Sebias when I can get on my computer. You guys can post in the meantime, if you want.
How many more rumbles 'til Skarzs arrives?
*EDIT* Just to clarify, I don't want to rush anyone or anything like that. I;m just curious if we have anything specific planned.
I'm leaving that up to him, for now. If he up and appeared, we'd be in trouble. Gimme a second.

Stoneater won't find them iimmediately. You still have some time, but I'm raising the tension.
Wait, did they turn around?
Yeah, they did. Turns out most beasts don't like the idea of a stone maze rumbling. You could still have him get close, though; they've only now turned back.
Is there anything in particular you would like me to do, or shall I just wait?
You can add tension. Ask Waiata if she's seen anything, move down the hallway; that sort of thing.
Sorry, I haven't posted in a bit. I'll throw one up today.
Please don't throw up. At least not here. But gotcha.

Dear goodness, that is an excessively large image
I can imagine Verdauga of the Thousand Eyes thinking something along those lines.
Soooooo.... we continuing or what?
I'd personally like to; I just haven't found the time or come up with enough material to warrant a post. I might move things along soon though.
I can hardly tell you two apart because of your pics.
Stoneater is a little ways from finding them, but I want it to be unexpected.
(I noticed the profile pic thing myself. I might find another one.)
I'd mention the others, But I know they at least look over this topic.
Should I just sit tight and wait or do you want me to do something?

I haven't gotten that in a while. . . part of the reason why I have trouble replying to page-old posts.
@Sebias of Redwall why don't you go ahead and post? I'm also gonna see if I can get
@MathLuk to post.
*Pokes head through the door* What did I miss?
Nothing. We've been waiting for you.
Hmm. I just took a peek at it and...my mind is honestly drawing a blank for what I could have Brink say. By any chance, would it be possible if the tunnel started to collapse from the rumbling or something?
That would be amusing. The tunnel was fairly rough and nobeast has mentioned it smoothing out again so it might be possible. Verdauga?
Ehh. . . I wouldn't say Stoneater's rumblings are strong enough to collapse anything. It's making those noises every time it knows it's getting closer.
That's... rather unnerving. I'll have to remember that.
I had planned on the tunnel actually being fine and finished. Y'all decided it was roughish. ;D
And nah, the rumbling won't collapse it; otherwise the "elevator" would have started to bring it down.
It wasn't us all, it was just me. Sorry.
No trouble. I didn't tell you guys what it looked like, so I basically left it up to your explanation.
Have I missed a lot? Do you want me to post?
I don't think anyone has posted since the last conversation here. You can post if you want, though.
Something needs to happen already. Nothing's been done for ages.
I can accelerate things if you want.
I'd kind of like that but Verdauga is the boss so he should probably decide.

Yeah, I just haven't posted anything for a bit myself since there isn't much more to say than "I creeped further down the tunnel," or something

Sorry, couldn't resist. *reluctantly puts water balloon away and heads into the labyrinth*
I dare you to throw those at Skarzs as soon as we see him in the RP.
I don't think it really fits with the theme. I'll do it in here.
Mmmmmmeh.
Don't you dare.
I posted.
Good job. *begins hurling water balloons at Skarzs with deadly accuracy*
Errm, Skarzs? Did you intercept the party in the middle, on Ara's side, or on Waiata's side? I'm not against splitting the group, but no one knows where to run.
You don't need to modify your post.
Behind Ara, so both parties are on the same side.
Got it. I'll post next then.
I suggest you guys find a place too small for Stoneater to reach your characters.
That's easier said than done when you're running in blind terror from an enormous scaled monster.
Quote from: The Skarzs on March 05, 2020, 03:31:34 AM
I suggest you guys find a place too small for Stoneater to reach your characters.
I was just about to PM you about a room where the characters can catch their breaths :D
But we will try. Who wants to discover the hiding place?
I mean, Ara could, as he can run faster than the others (them long legs of his) but he's the farthest from the front. I think it would be Pekepeke, actually, as Waiata moved behind her, she can likely fly faster than most of the group can run, and she is smallest.
Well, Dantin could spot it as well, if we wanted to speed things up a bit. He was up there with bats, so he's at the front, and he's decent at running so he won't be lagging behind Pekepeke by too much.
Well, I was hoping we could have a few more meaningless running posts before we reached it, but that'll work. Maybe we could get those who haven't posted in a while to run before we reach the room.
Seb has cut down on internet usage as part of Lent, and I fear that I'm too busy to post for the foreseeable future.
You call kill Algirdas off.
In that case...nah. We'll take him along. I'm not in the mood to kill characters off. But he'll likely become more of an NPC.
I'll let Booklover and Ebantu post once more, Kade, and then you can find the room.
Do I need to post, since I have already done a post with me running from the Stoneater, and it seems pointless to do another one?
*Actually rereads the last page of the topic.*
*Casually facepalms.*
You know what? I'll do another running post, and then Kade can find the room. How about that?
;D Gotcha

Some concept art of Stoneater.
Noice! You should draw one with some regular creatures for scale.
It may take some time. The way I described it is not easy to draw. . .
Great drawing, Skarzs. I'll post soon, shall I?
Sure, go ahead.
Pretty picture, Skarzs! He looks like a very rough version of you.
Skarzs will be taking control of Torunis for MathLuk.
Kk, cool stuff. It'll give him something else to do
Part of me thinks he wants to take over the RP, stealing players until he's the mastermind....
That, or it's fun. Who knows?
<_<
Yeah, we're onto you.
What good is a roleplay if I hold all the players? I need to let you guys off your strings. . . At least only a little bit.
It's quite fun being a puppet, actually.
Uh....
So, a relationship with Teer has some... strings attached ;D

Sounds good to me.
@Verdauga , is there a plan for upcoming events and, if so, are we allowed to know about it?
I was planning on either having Stoneater find his way into the room or eventually move to another hiding spot.
I might initiate the latter in my next post.
Stoneater will be out of their fur for a little while.
Got it.
So, whassup? Is there anything in particular I should do in my post? (Also, what basically happened while I was gone? :P)
Stoneater ambushed the group, we ran into a tunnel, and are heading into the darkness to find a way out of Stoneater's area of operations.
Except Chycer has a torch, much to Waiata's chagrin.
An unlit torch. Otherwise it wouldn't be so safe in
@Brink's backpack.
Good point. Still, I expect Chycer will light it before we set off.
He plans to light it at the first whiff of danger, fair.
Right, time for pestering. This roleplay must not die. Should I post now or should I let other beasts have a chance to get a word in edgewise? *goes to pester

I'd go ahead and post if I were you, and then try to get Eb on. Seb and Booklover really can't do much right here except empathize with Mathluk Skarzs.
Yes, boss. Right away.
We could speed things along. Not necessarily a time skip, but move them forward until they get to another spot to interact.
Yeah, I'm gonna have Chycer grab the other members and race them over to wherever we're trying to go.
Where are we trying to go, again?

This is going to be interesting.
She doesn't have to hear the water until we're right up on it.
The rest of you heard it.
Bats have great hearing, and I'd suspect hares' large ears help (Would that be specist?), but true.
I finally posted! Yay! :P
Hmm. I like was
@The Skarzs was doing with Algirdas. Creating a power struggle or tension of some sort should make things more interesting.
;)
*Bump* Er, guys?
I can't make them post.
I could post but I don't really have anything to say at present.
I will see what I can post. It might not be much.
Posted.
I like the progression from "I can't really post." To, "I'll see what I can post." To, "Posted."
Yeah, it's good. I'll post tomorrow, when my brain isn't going to sleep.
Noted. I'll try to post when I have time.
I won't post.
Something needs to happen to drive tension in the group, I feel like. And I mean REAL tension. Fists flying and all that. Then again, anything else could also work, but I just feel like we need an actual "action" for the group to do. But yeah... I'll probably post later hopefully. :P
Well, if we (as in us, not our characters) had some idea of what we were going to do or what was going to happen, we'd have something to work towards in the RP. We don't really need tension I don't think, just direction.
That's true. Hmm. Are we actually going to find the treasure and escape? Should we make a basic outline of a plot or would that kinda kill the purpose of an RP?
If I continue what I began with the tension between Algirdas and Chycer, it could affect everyone.
I haven't checked out the actual thread yet, but we will at least make it to the stream. From there, Dantin's pickaxe will come in handy to start testing the strength of the walls and possibly break a way through. I haven't been big on the infighting because Stoneater could annhilate the party if he wants. I haven't quite decided whether we'll reach the treasure or simply escape, but I'm leaning toward the former.
Quote from: The Skarzs on April 30, 2020, 08:09:20 PM
If I continue what I began with the tension between Algirdas and Chycer, it could affect everyone.
If you guys want the infighting tension, Algirdas could start to wedge Brink and Wanderer's loyalty away from Chycer. A little mutiny never hurt anyone, right?
Very true. (Though don't you dare try it in Ratty Driftwood. Mharbrow would kill you) I'm not really sure about the infighting though. Waiata would likely just sit there uncomfortably and watch, which is less involvement than I'd like in the roleplay.
As for finding the treasure, how much of it is said to be there?
I think it's just speculation and rumor.
I do too, but how much does speculation and rumour say there is? One would think it would be a lot, considering the way truth can be blown out of proportion. I just wonder how Chycer plans to take the treasure back home, and how much he's expecting to find.

@Booklover, you're Wanderer, right?
Yes.
Ah. Okay. Hmm... I think we're both supposed to look ahead. I had Brink ask Wanderer something. I don't think either of them have really interacted that much before...
Did you two walk away from the group, or are you having this "discussion" within earshot of the rest of us?
We're a ways off from the group. ^-^ Feel free to follow us or strike up a conversation with the others that are still around.
Well, I was asking because the group made it to the water, then Algirdas snuck off ahead on his own. For your post, you never said that you moved further ahead, I don't think, so I wasn't sure.
Hmm... I'll try to go back and clarify that.
[Edit] I dunno if that helped, but I mentioned something about us both walking a ways away from the group.

Better than nothing. What do we need to do, Boss? (Verdauga)
I need to ask, Skarzs; Did you intend the crevice to lead anywhere? We could still have that option, but I was expecting him to go off by his lonesome while the group is looking for him.
As for now, we'll follow the stream tunnel, and have a few nasties attack.
sPlIt ThE gRoUp

Although, I could just kill Algirdas off if he leaves alone.
...I'm scared.
I'm not planning on killing anyone off. Don't worry.
I didn't think so. I should have said Peke is scared.
So it should be. *Nods with satisfaction.*
Pekepeke need not be scared of anything. Waiata is determined to protect her no matter what.

Or for Pekepeke's fear, as the case may be. Don't worry about it. Waiata is fully aware of that and doesn't plan to die any time soon.
Algirdas is definitely not going with the rest.
I could have him go on his own, but it might be more interesting if one other character went with him. Just a thought if you all wanted to mix it up a bit, give the chance for some new dialogue and tension.
I honestly wouldn't mind volunteering, but I feel like Brink is a loyal bodyguard type fellow, so he probably wouldn't leave his employer. But I like the idea. If anything, something could happen where the party is forced to split up (Rocks fall or something, perhaps?).
I don't think Dantin or the Wanderer have any real loyalty towards Ara. Just a thought.
That's true. One (Or both) should consider joining up with your character.
@Booklover @Kade Rivok
Like I said, I can have Algirdas go by himself.
You'd probably have a better chance getting Dantin, Waiata, and Pekepeke to go with Torunis.
I'd go with that. Waiata doesn't appreciate Brink and the Wanderer's arguing much.
Neither does Pekepeke.
*Bump*
Good idea. Who needs to post next? *goes to check the actual thread*
I'm... actually not sure. I probably should have checked. I think we need one of the instigators of the split to post next, maybe.
Nah, it's the followers that need to post next. Chycer and Algridas have gone their separate ways and it's up to us to decide who's going with who.
I probably should. Give me a minute, I was planning a post in another RP.

I think we need to have the beasts who want to split off post. Have some side-choosing and all that.
Possible. I'll keep an eye on it.
Need me to try to convince people?
Okay.
Ooh, nice post, Verdauga.
For the record, in case you hadn't picked it up from my post, Waiata is going with Algirdas because she thinks he needs her help, not because she thinks it's the best idea.
I guess that leaves
@Kade Rivok and
@Booklover :)
Yar, I'l try and have a post up today. In character, Dantin would likely follow Waiata, because she's the main one that's been nice to him, and also now because Pekepeke said she would follow him and he likely wouldn't want to separate the two.
That being said though, that would make the split parties rather uneven. Is that a problem?
It would be uneven either way, since we have seven characyers, if I can still add correctly. Ironically, it would bring back the original split parties if Wanderer stays with Chycer. If so, the parties would be:
Ara, Brink, and The Wanderer
Algirdas, Waiata, Dantin, and Pekepeke.
If Booklover decides Wanderer joins Torunis:
Ara, Brink
Algirdas, Waiata, Dantin, Pekepeke, and Wanderer.
Either way, it isn't the end of the world, so focus on it being an in-character choice.
Oh, right, I'd forgotten about Bookies char. I was thinking it'd be 4 and 2

Same.
One team could be attacked by the monster, perhaps, while the others actually find the treasure. Could we add a lot of random stuff, btw? Like... Have the bat sisters' parents show up with their tribe or something like that?
That would be cool.
And as a side plot, half of the bats could suggest killing all of the mammals. :o Or a power struggle, perhaps. Or a half-crazy vermin who had spent half of his life underground, and is nearly blind. (Note, these are just random ideas.)
(Bats are mammals, just saying :P)
(... Gotta point, there. My brain right now...)
(Eh, no worries. ^-^)
We're already having a power struggle. That's why we're splitting up, Remember?
I don't know how the bats would find their way down, but maybe there's a way.
I mean, pretty much the only way down was the broken "elevator."
It had a roof over it to keep the bats from flying out.

I know. Same. :P Maybe the monster should attack somewhat soon ish.
*Waits to see how the others will respond now.*
Also, sorry for completely ignoring the poll, but I realized it would be revealed soon, so there was no need.
Lol.
No worries. ^-^
It's very interesting. I'd post, but I don't have anything to say. (I mean, Waiata didn't hear your announcement, so there's nothing to respond to. Effectively, I was the last beast to post)

It will be some time later.
*. . . Nudges topic with shoe, @'ing
@Booklover *
She seems to have gone inactive again.
She does, but she might pop back on. At any rate, feel free to talk with Skarzs and Kade about what your half plans to do next.
Yeah, that would be a good thing to figure out. (We should probably involve Eb in the discussion too. Little sisters can have good ideas sometimes)
Yes, of course.
Also, I might add in a minor baddie to get things moving, if necessary.
How, though? The labyrinth isn't exactly open plan.
I might pull the crazed mouse down in, or have some of the labyrinth start falling down on the groups. We'll see.
Sounds good to me.
@Skaaaaarzs @Teeeeeeeer @Kaaaaaade And
@Eeeeeeeb!Let there be light!
So, what're y'all going to do?
That mention didn't work for me.
Um...I'm not sure. Peke is really just following Waiata and Dantin.
I PMed you a vague idea I was having. I'll wait to see what you think of that. I might reread some of the posts.

Interesting. Fair enough, but it felt wrong to leave you out of the mention chain. Maybe you'll be able to add something to their plans.

I replied.
There, that's where.
... Ah.
I mean, I was the last beast to post and don't have anything huge to say.
Am I going to be just making up the report of what's ahead for our group or are there some rules? (I mean, obviously coming back and reporting that there's an exit to the labyrinth around the next bend is out, but is anything else just up to me?)
In brutal honesty, I hoped Kade and/or Skarzs would have made some sort of post or at least plan, since I'm rather sure they saw it. I'll put up a resuscitative post.
So, there are small alcoves in the Labyrinth walls to allow the characters to avoid Stoneater, but they don't lead anywhere, and there are also gates and whatnot. After a certain point, the tunnel ceilings rise with windows to other passages near the top. I'll let you decide how much of that your characyer sees, amd she could even overhear Brink and Chycer talking if you wish.
Ah, gotcha. Sweet! I'll probably skip actually seeing that and just come back and report whatever.
That sounds perfect, thanks.
So should I do that now or after you make a resuscitative post?
Good post. We'll just have to wait and see how the others respond to it.
Sorry for the wait.
I forgive you, 'cause you posted.
