Redwall has fallen to an evil army of lizards that are enslaving the redwallers to build them an evil city and soon an empire. the only creatures that escaped are Matthias (with all of Martin's stuff), Cornflower, Basil, and Cheek. Orlando, Auma, and Constance will be executed in 10 days because the lizards hate badgers. The escapers have hidden in the ruins of St. Ninians.
Matthias has a plan....to find his son Mattimeo and raise an army of woodland animals. He also sent a message to the Long Patrol (by a bird named smallbeek) to come as soon as possible to help recapture Redwall and save the three badgers.
Cheek looked toward Matthias and said nothing . he looked down at the ground miserably .
"Is some thing wrong Cheek?" Asked Matthias.
Ok Basil says, "Righto chaps we must find Log-a-log and the goisum if we are goin to take Redwall" picking up a staff. "Cheer up Cheek old boy, we'll whip those lizards yet!"
Matthias said, "Good while you two go find Log-a-Log I will go in Mossflower woods to find woodlanders."
Cornflower says, "Oh Matthias! We can't split up! Im scared!" clinging on to Matthias scared half to death.
At that moment there was a knock on the door.
BOOM BOOM BANG!!!
"Who is there?" Matthias demanded as he took his sword from its place on the table.
A hedgehog came in who was halve dead and had a small rope in his hand.
Cornflower screamed and said, " oh you poor thing your hurt!" running over and helping it up. "Well who are you? Eh wot?" putting his staff in his face. Then Cornflower said, "Basil Stag Hare! What are you doing?! This creature is hurt!" "Sorry Cornflower but one can't be to careful these days eh wot."
Matthias came over an said. "I think he is safe Basil, and I think he needs help right away."

"Oh fine old friend....." said Basil sitting down sulking.

Matthias replied, "Welcome Freta, sister of Jubation."
He walked over to Basil and said. "Basil you and Cheek, go now I will stay here."
"Righto old chap! C'mon Cheek old boy let's get some shrews!" as Basil ran out the door with Cheek following. "Oh Matthias I can't help but think, why did you want the group to split up?" said Cornflower.
"Because", Said Mattias, "we need the help of the shrews and the woodlanders if we are to take back the Abbey."
"Ok well where do we go Matthias?" said Cornflower pulling out a dagger. Then remembered Freta and started healing her wound.
"We will stay here for now, till Freta is better. Lets hope the Long Patrol come soon." said Matthias.
Mean while Basil is dashing through the woods trying to find the goisum. He let Cheek stay behind and sent him back to Ninians. Basil went to the meeting grounds of the goisum and saw 50 lizards chain up a hole lot of shrews and long patrol hares. The leader said," how many hares escaped!?" "ten sir...." said a smaller one. "here is that mouse they call Mattimeo?" they then brought out Mattimeo and then Basil ran for Ninians afraid to tell Matthias...
Cheek looked toward his father and said ''hey Daf can you get Constance back I lied her
Then Basil said, " you wot!?"perking up his ears like he does when he is irritated.
Cheek laughed and stuck out his tongue ''I liked er do you want me to say it again''
Back at the church........
Matthias was making weapons: spears, javelins, and slings.
Then Basil and Cheek stormed in and Basil said, "sorry to say this old bean but those lizards have most of the hare, the shrews, and.... Matti....
Moonstripe was in a bad mood. "How many of us are left?"
"Only ten, my chap of a lord."
"This is bad. You, go and get some reinforcements! The rest of you come with me." They made their way through the woods towards St. Ninians.
"What, Hares, shrews, and mattimeo!" said Matthias "We most free them!"
"Yes old friend those lizards have half our army! Now what do we do eh wot?" said Basil very frusterated.
Moonstripe banged at the door. "Open up!"
"Who goes there eh? What intentions do you have by trying to open the door eh wot?" yelled Basil taking a defensive position by the door.
"I am Moonstripe! Badger Lord of Salamandastron, I have come to offer my help! And besides, they have captured most of my hares."
"Then you are truly welcome great badger of sa-la-man? Oh well it dont matter at all eh wot?" said Basil carfully eying the badger.
"What do you plan to do to save them?"
"Well not really you old badger," said Basil mockingly.
Cheek punched Basil in the stomach and ran into a nearby bush and laughed '' Ha ha that was funny oomph'' he ran straight into a tree and lay there sprawled on the grass.
"Why you! Your in big trouble young man!" said Basil falling over.
Cheek jumped up and hid behind a bush with his head aching but it was fun beating up his own Dad.
"Friends, let us not fight one another. Welcome Moonstripe. Hares, shrews, badgers, and my son are prisoners of the Lizards. And we most find a way to free them and take back Redwall abbey, WHO IS WITH ME? FOR REDWAAAALLLL!!!!!!!!!" said Matthias.
EULALIAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!
Cheek stood up and shouted ''For good Vittles not moldy bread ha ha ha ha''
"GIVE EM MUD AND VINGAR!!!!!!!!!" screamed Basil
"Than we move tonight, Basil get some rope and make a hook. Moonstripe, you go and make Javilins and fire wood. Cheek you go with Moonstripe. This is the plan....Basil and me will climb the wall with the rope and free the captivs, Cheek, Moonstripe, and Cornflower and the rest of the hares will through burning Javilins." said Matthias.
"Come!" Moonstripe said motioning at Cheek to follow him.
"Righto old chap!" said Basil grabbing his hook and rope.
It was almost dark as they made there way to the Abbey.
"Ok you start fireing thoughs Javolins, Me And basil will start to climb the wall." said Matthias.
"Ok good luck all you chaps," said Basil tightening his rope.
They climbed the rope and took out the first two guards on the battle mants.
"Over here Basil, I think I found them but there are 20 lizards guarding them."
'' Wot do I do'' said Cheek to his Da Basil.
"Cheek! Wot are you doing here you need to be with the javelins!"
"Well Cheek you can unlock the door while Me and Basil will act as decoy.: said Matthias.
Moonstripe was on the battlements waiting for the signal.
"Well Matthias wot do'e do." asked Basil
''Ok I am good at dat'' he unlocked it with no hesitation and swung the door open ''Sorry but the javelin's got stealed by dark creatures'' said Cheek.
"REDWAAALLL!!! Matthias charged in to the lizerds fighting for Redwall fighting for his friends fighting for freedom.
OOC: what do you mean Danflor? we didn't lose the spears.
BIC: Moonstripe started hurling the spears at the guards.
The fight was on now Matthias Basil and the hares and shews and Mattimeo were fighting on the ground and Moonsripe, Cornflower, and 10 hares(that did not get captured were throwing javilens.
Moonstripe grabed a spear and jumped into a pack of lizards with a heart-chilling cry. "EULALIAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!"
"We are out numbered 2 to 1 so fight with all you've got."

"I found the other badgers but not the others we must retreat," said Basil leading the hares tward the gate.
" Ok BACK ALL, TO THE GATE." said Matthias.
Basil and the other hares bolted for the church with the badgers.
The lizards did not follow, but Matthias wasted no time to get defenses up.
Cheek was munching an apple when they saw him he laughed ''did you kill em already dad''.
"How many did we lose?" asked Matthias
"Stop it right now Cheek Stag Otter! Or I'll whack you!" said Basil, "I don't know Matthias old friend only four that I saw."
"Right not bad for all we faught but we still lost them, let us have a moment of silence for the ones who went to the silent forest.
Basil farts
''Ew do dat again and I will punch u in the rear'' said Cheek smiling hoping that he would do it again.
"Sorry bout that I couldnt help it. Cheek never do that."
" You two go out and see if there is some food to be had." said Matthias.
Basil left at the sound of food.
Moonstripe had been left behind. He had killed lizards until they retreated; seeing some shrews he grabed them and ran towards St. Ninians.
"Now Cornflower see to it that the badgers are fed and get there rest I will talk to them tomorrow. Were is Moonstripe?" said Matthias
"Were's 'hat ghastly badger eh?" Basil asked Cheek
"I only wish Mattimeo had made it out." said Mattias

" Yes me to old friend.... Me to...."
Moonstripe stormed in; knocking Basil and Cheek on the ground at the same time. "I have rescued some shrews!" he said. "They need medical attention."
" Righto! Poor old chaps."
"Cornflower some shrews need help, Welcome back Moonstripe and well done." said Matthias.

Cornflower sets down the shrew on the floor and covers up his neck with dock leaves.
"Sigh. Instead of fighting here, fight for the abbey back, or if not that, come help me with the wounded. I have to tend to this one quickly!"
The small shrew grunted from the pain, and passed out.
Well knock me down the poor things gone 'nto shock!" exclaimed Basil
"Right we need a new plan, any ideas?" asked Matthias.
Tunnels?" asked Basil.
"Good idea, but we have no moles." said Matthias.
Then let's get renforcements and make a full scale attack with a battering ram."
"It might work , Lizards aren't smart." Said Matthias.
