Test # 1:

You, my friend, are a Goodbeast!

A Goodbeast is known for his kindness and generosity towards other creatures. You don't necessarily need a reason to help someone, and the safety and well-fare of others is always on your mind. Your allies are your main concern, as, friendship is important to you, and you would never do them harm, no matter what. The tough times come and they go, but you endure with flying colors, and your allies often thank you for your unending patience and consideration. You understand right and wrong and you enforce it with your own passion, and for that, you are forever branded a good beast!

Test # 2:

You, my friend, are a Mole. One of Redwall's hardiest and friendliest of creatures. You are known for your kind smile and wise words, often finding the answer through inherited Mole Logic. You are friendly, ever the worrier about your allies, and always considerate to even Vermin if it comes down to it. You have a heart of gold for most situations and feel the hurt deepest when an ally falls. Your steadfast resolves astounds even enemies and often times, you are the fuel which keeps your allies going. If it wasn't for your cheery disposition, they might never have survived.

That was fun! But where the heck did they get Mole from?

You, my friend, are an Otter. One of Redwall's most valiant and honorable of creatures. Otters have within them a strong sense of family and brotherhood, they always fight to the last beast and have a pride unequalled in all of Mossflower. They are hardy creatures whom survive the toughest of times and often can find room to smile even in the most desperate of circumstances. You are the comforter of your allies, and the soft words they need when all hope is failing. Keep your head high warrior, you'll live to see another dawn yet.

You, my friend, are a Mouse. One of Redwall's most valiant and honorable of creatures. Perhaps you share the bloodline of Martin the Warrior, destined to become a woodland hero, or maybe your personality is more closely explained by your calm and sage-like knowledge. Whatever the case may be, your sense of honor is what sets you apart from other races, and it is your friendly and helping nature which attracts other beasts to you. It's okay to be a little adventurous, otherwise, Martin would have never become the great hero we all know him to be. Follow your heart, and let your paws and will guide you through the twisting trails of your fate.

  Fits, I guess.  :P

You, my friend, are a Hare. One of Redwall's most valiant and honorable of creatures. You are known for your chatty nature and your giant hunger, but your friends don't hold it against you, your skills as a warrior more than make up for it. Chances are you're a bit mischievous, love to tease your allies (all in good fun of course) and are ever the adventurous one. Hold your head high and steady that resolve, lad, we've got a long way to go yet. Assure your allies with your steadfast courage, and no matter what, do not let harm come to them. They'll get through you over your dead body, but you'll make sure to take a good few down before you fall.

You, my friend, are a Wildcat! One of Redwall's cruelest and most frightening of creatures. You are a beast driven by conquest, spurred to travel onward in the hopes of acquiring not only your own wealth, but your own empire! A place in which all beasts tremble at the mention of your name, where yours is the paw of death and decision which governs the weak. You are a beast that expects only the best, and nothing less. Those who fail you die, and those who betray you die slower. Your enemies are nothing but shadows, creatures whom you will dispose of soon enough, but it is this lust for glory that often times sways your decisions. Despite your level-headed nature, your wishes and twisted ways often earn you a slightly psychotic demeanor which snaps upon the most unlikely of creatures. Your allies fear you not only because you are strong and powerful, but because deep down, they know you are truly mad, and will stop at nothing to claim what it is you believe is rightfully yours.

You, my friend, are a Hedgehog. One of Redwall's most valiant and hardy of creatures. Hedgehogs are survivors born, every last one, and are known for their sometimes simple perception. Not one to ask many questions, Hedgehogs endure when others fade away, and their spirits as warriors can shine through when it is needed most. Through their travels, sometimes they seem a bit awkward, but they are indeed wise beyond their years at times. Hedgehogs are trustworthy and allies to the end, if you make a friend, you keep him, and you make sure no beast ever brings them harm, not even if it costs you your own life.

Hedgehog?? >:(

I am not like that at all!

You, my friend, are a Badger. One of Redwall's bravest and most heavily fated of creatures. You my friend, are a martyr for your cause in stoic silence. Your middle name is sacrifice and you are ever thinking of the welfare of others, always above yourself. You're a helping paw to allies and a surge of inspiration in even the most harrowing of battles, and despite all your glory, you are often lonely and detached. No beast can compare with your pain, and none can truly ease that longing you have to return home and see the faces of kinbeasts. But fate would not deem it so, often is it the badger's fate to fall far from the shores of home, ever is it his destiny to protect the weak and young with his own flesh and blood; and ever is it his cause to inspire and lead his allies to victory, even in the darkest of hours. Good luck my friend, good luck and peace be with you in Dark Forest. I pray you meet your father there and he greets you with pride and open arms.

My second favorite species, (nothing can beat a hare wot wot!)

You, my friend, are a Stoat! One of Redwall's cruelest and most cunning of creatures. You are known for your sharp mind and your unbound intelligence; whether its tactics, planning or merely being able to outwit foes, your intellect is sharper than most vermin's swords. Your cruelty is as common as your intelligence though, as, you're known not only to hold a grudge, but plan upon it. No deed goes unpunished with you, and your sense of fairness and justice is so greatly twisted, your specific justice isn't served until the perpetrator is dead, and his entire family is slain. Then you'll move onto his allies, their families...your sense of vengeance truly knows no bounds. Your greed is something to be noticed as well, you want more than anything to surround yourself with precious beauty, and will stop at nothing to attain it. You are indeed a dark creature with twisted ideas, most won't associate with you willingly, but you're far too intelligent to let that stand in the way...

And stoat, okay...Not what I was expecting.

The accuracy really depended on how well you know your own personality.  Sometimes people think they are one thing or that in this situation they would do this when really they are something different. What I would like to see is some pick one of us (Some one they know well) and answer the questions in the quiz as is they where that person as best as they can. Then they see what the answer comes out to be.

Hmmmmm, I can anyone guess what I'LL be?  ::)

What am I?
You, my friend, are a Squirrel. One of Redwall's most valiant and hardy of creatures. Squirrels are warriors of the treetops, brave, curious, and sometimes annoying. You are known to have a silent sense of humor and a serious game face when trouble's afoot, and no one doubts your wisdom when times get rough. You are quick on your feet, bossy at times, but ever the friend a beast could need. Your emotions don't slip out much, but when they do they make you seem all the more enticing as an ally. Its okay, sometimes, breaking down is the answer, but for now, your stone-solid resolve is what your allies need to see.

It's funny, because that ENTIRE description, is pretty close to me!  :D I'm not bossy though.  :P

~About the questions determining whether a goodbeast or vermin, just wondering: The selections to the questions tell you which you would be. Most would prefer a goodbeast so their answers will lean towards either the positive or the negative according if you think you're this or the other. The selections need to be more neutral where you cannot tell where it is leading. The decisions must be made from an impartial equation. Each selection gave away whether you were goodbeast or vermin.

I took the vermin test this time.

You, my friend, are a Fox! One of Redwall's cruelest and most cunning of creatures. Foxes are known not only for their intelligence, but their cruelty and blood thirst as well. You are a creature who expects respect from all beasts and are just as quick to associate fear with the word. You see rewards, never struggles and use those who serve you as fodder if need be. Once decided, you are hard to sway, for your confidence and arrogance know no bounds. Everything you set your sights on, should become yours, whether with struggle or not, it is as good as yours. You enjoy seeing the weak squirm and your pure unadulterated greed is often what drives you. There is always a treasure at the end every campaign, and you will claim every last one for yourself. Torture the innocent if you must, kill your own if it brings luck, you are a beast who will stop at nothing for your conquest.

~I looked over the selections for the test concerning the type of vermin to see what it was like. I've discovered that there is not one question I could truthfully answer. I can't say I would even involve myself in attacking a band of mice or even being among those who would, especially after answering that I would help the band of mice on the other test. It would be a conflict of personalities. I can't say I would do this or that when I said the exact oppositte elsewhere. If I did, somewhere I'd be lying to myself. Truthfully, how can one be both a goodbeast and vermin? Why would one say they are willing to say or do one thing turn around and do the other? Are you either going to help the band of mice or are you going to even be among those who would attack them? Just food for thought.

Quoted from Niten from Michael Scott's the Warlock

"No man is ever just one thing"

While it is true that one may protect a band of mice, in the right circumstances that one might attack a band of mice

I don't believe in moral absolutes and I'm probably in the minority for believing there are perfectly justifiable reasons to kill someone. I don't believe any one thing is good or bad, but the consequences of those actions and the reasons for committing them, these are what matter. Is one a bad person for killing someone if one has never been taught killing someone is wrong? It certainly seems that "vermin" simply grew up that way and do not know any better, so are they evil or are they just misguided? Are they cruel by nature or is it a product of their environment?
Title: Re: =-Redwall Species Test-=
Post by: Mischevael on November 28, 2014, 06:13:51 PM
~Justify attacking the innocent? Wherewith? If the band of mice were say, rogue and went off doing bad things then they have lost their innocence. But there is no justifying murder. I believe one has a sense of what is right, born with a particular amount of light. When he chooses to deny that light he is therefore responsible. As we choose to darken that light it then becomes our character. Veil as I recall, was raised up in the Abbey but chose to reject the light he had while living under their instruction. The character first is inherited, then cultivated as we go through life. Our tendancies we are prone to from our youth can be overcome through education. But if we neglect or choose to go otherwise we forfeit the light we have, turning it into darkness. It is easy to be overcome by the presence of others' character when ours is in the molding stage. For it is a law of the human mind that by beholding we become changed. But if you holdfast that you have more will be given. Veil at the end shown signs of the instruction he received by trying to protect the mousemaid that brought him in. So can a vermin change? Yes, I believe they can. Only through much training and patience he can become a goodbeast. In some instances killing is the only resolute option, but is it murder? I say no. The vermin do not kill, they murder. One trained from their youth to murder any who are beneath him is still a murderer even though he was never taught any good. Can such change? It would take a great amount of effort and patience but if the light isn't fully exstinguished then there is a chance. Murder like it or not is a bad thing. In the final dispensation those deserving of many stripes will receive as such, those deserving few stripes will likewise receive as much. There is a moral law that governs everything. All will be judged according to its standards. You may not believe this, but those who go about with the belief that nothing is either good, nor bad tend to when tested lean towards those things otherwise considered 'bad.' Becareful, lest you call what is good, bad and bad, good.

You never said the band of mice was completely innocent and I haven't played the quiz. Most of the abbeybeasts were prejudiced against Veil because of his species, it is my belief that he turned out to be (for the sake of simplicity) evil because that was what was expected of him by all but very few. Ah but some vermin do not murder, they only fight in wars and often you see evidence that they don't want that and they just want to live peacefully for example the rats from Marlfox all willingly threw down their weapons when the foxes were defeated and then proceeded to live peaceful lives as farmers. I do not believe in good and evil actions and I certainly do not believe in final judgement

~I understand and now let's let it rest. Have a great Friday! I wonder if the Redwallers had a certain calendar. They kept every other record.

As a hare leaps sloshing ale on an otter, "hey, watch it there long ears!" "Sorry there."
