You wake up on your cozy pile of dirt and sticks. Wait...dirt and sticks? And since when did you have fur and a tail? One look at yourself confirms your fears: you have turned into a beast of Redwall! Not only that, but when you try to remember your name, all that comes to mind is the Username of a particular forum. What's happening?This RP is a remake of the one we had back in the old forum. Imagine you woke up, on a random morning, as a beast in Mossflower Country.
All of us will have to team up and find a way home.

3. Ask if you want to be a species not mentioned in the Redwall novels. As long as it's not a dragon or something, it should be fine.

be helpless still survive to an extent if caught out without any survival materials.

Personality: Skarzs is rather serious, and takes most things with the same firm steps, from work to eating. Analytical and stubborn, Skarzs can take charge in situations that are getting out of hand and do his best to guide them.

If too many people want to play, you could always split it up into two RPs, one group near Redwall and the other at Salamandastron, doing two separate but equally important parts of the same plot.

Well, if there's enough interest, I'd be willing to help with the two-side RP. Perhaps there can be cross-throughs, and characters can have no idea what's going on while they attempt to interact with the other players.

Yes, that's the case.
Note: I think it would be cool if we were to start out knowing nothing, except wisps and memories here and there that remind us that, hey, we don't belong here. But as the RP moves on, we remember more and more about our old lives. We start to recall how we lived and the things we liked. As we're about to go home, we gather all this knowledge, and know who we are before we leave.
Also, we all have a bit of a nudge with the other forum members. Like, "Huh, seem familiar, but I don't know why".

Personality: I am out going and personable, but also cautious and thoughtful, I like to think of many alternative solutions to a problem and pick the best one. I am also a bit of a coward in the seance that If I can avoid physical pain or discomfort I will do all that I can to avoid it... though I don't think of that as cowardly, just smart. I am very out of shape, and not built for heavy lifting, more of an intellectual type. I am ambitious and set lofty goals but I also don't have the patience to stick with it and usually move on to another project that I find more interesting. Though if the consequences or rewards are high enough I will push through to the end with ferocity and single minded persistence. I am loyal, and prefer to think the best of people until proven otherwise, then it takes a lot to get my respect back.

Personality: Sandpaw is a logistically minded individual whose main concerns are slightly self-centered and cynical. While he can be uncaring Sandpaw works well with others and understands the importance of team effort and good leadership. While he enjoys the company of others Sandpaw is perfectly suited to being on his own. Sandpaw loves making others laugh, but tends to not be a very good comedian. Is there going to be any antagonist(s)?
I thought about it, but I'm not sure if we need one for this RP. The main objective is to discover our identities and go home. Of course, anyone is welcome to RP an antagonist if he wishes, but I don't see myself doing it :P
Also, I've decided that the portal will be in the ruins of Loamhedge Abbey ;) So basically, we all have to go there at some point.
@Kit, Groddil, So Wylder hasn't been around for a few days, and neither has Tom, should we continue without them? I think this RP is on the brink of death so if we want it to continue we'll need to keep going.
@Everyone, I had this idea where the three vermin characters, Grodds, Kit, and I somehow accidently become the antagonists. I'm not sure how we'd go about doing it, but as we don't remember each other if a real antagonist was to play both sides, and give everyone a order to escape, and then said this other group/kind of beasts are trying to stop or block you, conflict could be created...
Just an idea.

I'm not sure how we'd go about doing it, but as we don't remember each other if a real antagonist was to play both sides, and give everyone a order to escape, and then said this other group/kind of beasts are trying to stop or block you, conflict could be created...

It wouldn't affect the people at Salamandastron, thought I'm thinking, with the mountain fortress being the military base it is, could have some real fighting there.
Someone could make an antagonist and start some fighting over there, but it would prolong the RP. Everyone has to make it to Loamhedge Abbey somehow to make it home.
Well, I for one don't want this RP to go by in a flash. Things need to go wrong, and we all need time to remember things. ;)
Well the three story lines don't have to be integrated straight off. Perhaps every group could have different motivations to travel south.

I'd really like to keep posting and roleplaying, but I can't, since Dotti hasn't responded and it'd be rude to leave her behind. So...I dunno what I'm gonna do. I'll play NPCs for people, probably. So yeah. Hit me up if you need someone to play any NPC.
We can ask Dotti -if she ever shows her face- how she feels about someone PPing her [character] for now. It's been done in the past when players are AWOL and the RP needs to go on, and I feel it is still necessary.

I'm still super-duper interested and excited to play in this, but I can't at the moment, and it's making me a little sad.
I never even made one post. I've just got too much stuff going on right now to dedicate time to an rp.
I wonder if we can make a rule, where if someone goes on vacation or just becomes less active and unable to continue, they can just randomly and inexplicably disappear from the rp. We could have it so the people around you now have no memory of you ever being there, or they can still be aware of your sudden and confusing absence. Then, whenever you have the time again, you can hop back in, randomly reappearing, either with some memories of being there previously, and maybe even possibly some vague memories of who you're supposed to be, to help the rp along.

And since I'll be leaving for camp on Sunday, I was beginning to wonder what would happen here once I was gone. Ill have zero internet connection, I won't be able to post or keep up. Seems like me simply not being there would make the most sense, so I wouldnt hold the others back. Does that make sense?

@Faiyloe @Rosie Willowwater @Dotti Lovegood Okay, so, Group 3, I was thinking I might introduce the badger lord soon. Maybe he has some knowledge of our coming, what with the mysterious badger writing stuff, but if he did, that would mean we would be of some importance for whatever reason. Also, I want to add some conflict. I know none of us are real fighters, but it might make the story better if we can get some fighting going on. What do you think? Do we go through a learning curve and help with some battle, or do we just walk our merry way from the mountain to find some answers?
A battle sounds cool. I have been wanting to do something like that. XD and feel free to play the Badgerlord. I really don't have time to play him myself.

In order for us to get involved into something that would require us to fight, someone of our little crew needs to have something bad happen to them. Otherwise, there is little to no reason for us to join a fight not directly aimed at us, and I really don't want a siege on the mountain.
My idea is that there's a wolverine from the north following a seer's direction in an attempt to find a creature worth. . . I dunno, killing and eating to "gain their power". The seer knows of a powerful creature in the mountain, and it's likely the badger lord. So they send a creature in to look around, and perhaps lure the badger out to fight the wolverine so the wolverine can eat him. (Golly that's weird sounding.)
Here's the part that will send this into action. We already know the window to Faiy's room was accessible, thanks to Rosie, so that's how the wolverine's spy can get in. We'd need someone's consent for this, but if someone, possibly more than one person, can get captured, that will give the enemy a captive(s), and give the other players a reason to pursue them. The wolverine can lead the would-be rescuers on a merry chase while he will probably end up losing his captives and the entire thing turns back on him. My hope is that the chase leads them close to Loamhedge where we will eventually go. During this entire thing, I think we're going to remember more an more about ourselves.
Also, an idea for the entire RP characters: What do you think of the idea of us returning to ourselves once we remember everything? Like, certain things trigger memories, then when we reach Loamhedge everything comes back to us and we're gone from the Redwall world?

Yes. I can understand if you guys are mad or irritated. However, I realized I have priorities I need to focus on, as shown by my decline in activity here.
Here's the character sheet for the wolverine.
Name: Beggol
Gender: Male
Age: Adult
Species: Wolverine
Appearance: Hulking and hairy, Beggol is unmistakably a powerful creature. His fur is shaggy and braided at the joints, colored and stained with paints and grime. He wears only a red and brown kilt, made from animal pelts and stained purposefully with blood.
Personality: Beggol is ambitious and somewhat intelligent, though he often wants advice from his seer, a vixen called Cemtra, instead of using his own ideas. This reliance does not make him stupid, however, and Cemtra needs to be cautious lest she causes him to lash out in sudden anger, which he is prone to do.
Weapon: The wolverine carries a single-edged battle axe and a knife which he uses for various tasks like cutting food or skinning things.
Biography: Beggol was born on a northern island, with all its hardships and strange ways. Fighting to the death was commonplace, a part of the society. Creatures pitted themselves against others, and, as according to their terrible custom, the victor would eat the defeated, believing they would gain their strength and abilities. Beggol had killed many before he desired to find somewhere else to wander and someone else to defeat. When Cemtra told him of a mountain where a great creature lived and was always victorious, Beggol wanted to immediately go to challenge this foe, somebeast undefeated like he was. So with his seer in tow, along with several other creatures, the wolverine set out for Salamandastron.
