Hey guys~ I'm sorry to say that I'm closing requests indefinitely from here on out.  I'm even sorrier to say I'm dropping any requests that haven't been done yet ... I just don't have the time anymore, I'm so sorry, guys.  What I will be doing is finishing up prize pics and trades.  If I owe you my half of a trade, or a prize for winning a contest, or anything promised in return for something else, that will still be finished.  

I'm "officially" signing off the forum on September 22, so make sure to let me know what you'd like (if you haven't already) at least a week before then.

Now, rules for requests:

1. Requests are for members of the forum only
2. One request per person at a time, group pictures are fine but requesting multiple pictures at the same time would take too long -- and I'm slow enough as it is, haha! If there are other requests after yours, feel free to request again~
3. When you make your request, I will need your character's description. Species, gender, and ballpark age at the very least! Also let me know if your character has hair -- like Rose did from the cartoon -- otherwise I might forget to add it.
4. Requests must be Redwall-themed. It can be your character or a character from the books, but it must be in some way or another related to the Redwall series.

After that I have something else planned which will be taking up most of my time through spring '14, but once that is done and over with I'll reopen requests. I'm thinking probably during the summer of 2014, but that's just a guess at the moment. And maybe then I'll get around to finish drawing that comic, haha!

I may not be much for writing fanfiction, but I'm all for giving comics a go. These are mostly mysteries solved by my amateur sleuth character and take place entirely in the Redwall universe. I'll be tying in as many references to the books as I possibly can -- hopefully, this will make the comics seem more canon!

You can get it on the computer by taking a picture of your art on the camera then uploading it onto the computer maybe  ;)

I don't have a digital camera. :( Not one that works, anyway.  >:(

If you have a scanner you can just scan it onto the computer.

Thanks, Mariel! What about drawing them directly onto your computer? I used a mouse and MS Paint for the longest time, it's just a matter of practice. =D

I design Australian Rules football guernseys on MS paint, it's easy to use once you get used to it.

eulalia - for downloading, you should be able to right click on the image and then choose something like "save as..." if you're running Windows. <:3

Ceteruler - ya know, neither did I. I never pictured the characters with "headfur" or human hair or whatever it's called, and I never see the female characters with, erm, curves. But that character actually doesn't belong to me, so I drew her more like a human. ^^;

The drawings are very very beautiful ;D ;D ;D. I did some drawings on paper but I do not have a scanner to put them on my computer  :'( Hmmm...I think I'll use the phone  ;)

Amazing work Osu I like the one of Matthias, wish I could draw that well. I have been trying to perfect my drawing but it needs work for example last Sunday I did nothing but sat on the computer looking at otters from Redwall and trying to improve.

Well I wouldn't be able to give ye any tips, because that is incredible compared to what I've tried to draw in the past.

@Everybody - as always, thank you for your compliments~ :)

@Tannsrall - I think that's pretty good! I've seen other artists use a style like that and it always strikes me as whimsical and cute. The only suggestions I could give you would be to mold it more after my style, and that's not necessarily better, you know? I'm not an experienced artist nor am I much of a teacher.  ;) Are you trying to imitate any style in particular? For example, do you want it drawn exactly like the otters from the TV show? Or do you want it to look more like a real otter?

Looking at it now, the only thing I can really say is, perhaps, to redraw the footpaws to stand flatter, maybe by giving more form to the "toes" or by changing their position altogether. You may or may not want to give the "hand" paws more of a curve, either like human hands or like otter paws, either way or not at all. I don't see anything wrong otherwise, myself... I'm sorry I can't be much help to you! :C

I know BrookSkimmer is an artist, perhaps she could give you some better suggestions? :) I don't think she'd mind terribly if you asked! ;D

Whenever I see awesome art, I get a hint of jealousy in me because I can not draw that good. :(  I am still on stick figures.  And no I did not have a lot of practice.

Okay, thread update! ....after a very, very long time, dearie me. :s
I've decided I'm going to join the party and do art requests for you guys! What's more fun than drawing Redwall themed characters for members of the greatest Redwall forum on the internet, right? But before you request something, I have a few guidelines I'd like you to follow so I can keep things more organized. ;)

Do you mean drawing-wise, or coloring? When I draw, I start with circles and stick figures, pretty much, and then add details. When I color, I just scribble until it looks right. XD It's alright if you don't have a lot of experience, practice makes perfect, after all! ;)

I really like your pose. a challenge to me are doing the legs. Since I do mine more animalish it is some times difficult.

I know what you mean.  A lot of my poses are very awkward because I draw more human-shaped legs than animal-shaped legs. It's funny that you mention it, because I think animal-shaped legs look much better in Redwall-based art! (That fox is too cute, by the way! <3 )

Sure thing, hares are fun. Just sketched one today, as a matter of fact. Northland hare, but...still a hare. xD

Any specifics? I can do most sorts of armor and clothing (or at least, have been trying to). The more I practice the better I get. xD, So if your officer has a cool petticoat or something, I'll give it a shot.

I, also, have plenty of half-naked barbarian types, so no sweat there. xD, How about a nasty villain? ;3, I've got a massive white wildcat by the name Belobog that looks a little like a Siberian lynx minus major markings. He's mainly white with black lynx accents on his snout, ears and bobtail. He generally doesn't wear anything other than a fox-hide kilt, somewhat shredded and likely either tied or held up by a braided cord belt. I've never thought of giving him any barbarian regalia because I've yet to significantly write with him (he's a novel character). No piercings. But he might have grizzly bangles made from slain enemy pieces. Maybe a necklace of fang teeth. I have no idea. lol, Think viking savage from the Far North and you'll be getting pretty close. xD lol

His only weapon is a massive broadsword, Viking style, which he likely carries in a simple sword belt over his shoulder.

Don't feel like you have to color it. I hardly color. lol

  Yay!  Um, so I'll try to give a good description, and Scorchkit (that's his name) is a Warriors cat (well, kitten), so walking on four paws would be a better idea than two.  ;)

Age:  5 moons
Species:  Cat (duh!  ::))
Appearance:  Golden tabby fur, amber eyes, walks on four paws (as previously stated), his muzzle/chest/tail/front paws are a lighter gold colour than the rest of his body (not quite cream or white, but sort of like that), fuzzy fur (like a kitten's fur), cute and kitten-like

 And, if it's not too much trouble, could you add some sort of forest-y background?  If not, it can just be green.

Osu, I've finally gone through all of the artwork on this thread, so now I get to say that you're really good at this.

Visual art is one of those things I'm hopeless at myself, so if my specific observations about artwork are unfounded... well, you're getting them anyways:

I like the variety of clothing you've managed to work with on the characters. I know that some of the people requesting the art tell you exactly what kind of clothes they want their character to wear, but there's still a great deal of creativity in that, too--you still find a way to make that clothing look unique. And often times, I think, you get the clothing to match really well with what the viewer can gather at a glance about the personality and/or lifestyle of the character (for a few examples--Sothen, Buckler and Salinar).

On that note, there is a lot of personality coming out of the characters, I think. Mask looks like he would be really friendly and modest--even with the straps of throwing knives he carries around! And I think that's what you were going for (I suppose I've put my foot in my mouth if you were trying something else. In which case, sorry).

This may sound backwards, but I think one of my favorite pieces of yours is the sketch of the Long Patrol hare you'd posted back in 2011. You've given him a really strong expression and stance. He looks like an experienced warrior--like the kind of character who would belong perfectly in the commanding ranks of the Long Patrol. I think it's a fantastic piece of work.

You're right. Scorchkit is only the cover for your fanfic. My mistake on that bit. But now that I've checked what your avatar actually is, the avatar that I'm seeing on your overall profile page is of the guy with the t-shirt (Adam Young?), not of Simba.

He wears a belt festooned (Isn't that such a great word?) with tools and bulging pouches (that likely contain tools). He has a large warhammer hanging from his belt. He is generically scarred, has patches of burnt or missing fur, is very brawny and strong. Small dark face shield on head, tilted upward. Three dark grey tanks of gas, similar to scuba tanks, hang in a frame behind him, attached via hose to a lit steampunk blowtorch in his right hand. Left hand on face shield, as if he's about to pull it over his face. Grinning in a lopsided way. I hope this isn't too complicated. Color would be much appreciated and would greatly enhance it, but isn't absolutely nescessary. Thanks!

  Age:  21 seasons

  Nameday:  Primary 22nd, 1712

  Height:  5'6"

  Physical Description:  Silonna is a calico she-cat with bright, emerald green eyes.  Her fur is short and sleek, making her look thinner than normal, but she's very healthy.  Ginger's main fur colour, unlike many calicos, is, well, a bright ginger.  The other two colours are black and white, black being the more dominant of the two.

  Clothing:  Ginger wears a cream-coloured blouse with short sleeves and open shoulders.  Over top of that, she wears a black button-up vest that is almost always unbuttoned.  She has a dark forest green scarf that is wound loosely around her neck.  A sash of the same colour is tied around her waist, into which a rapier is tucked.  She also has a lute carried on her back, held on by a black leather strap which runs diagonally from her left shoulder to her right hip, with the body of the instrument at her shoulder.
  On her long legs, Ginger wears black trousers with two pockets that she likes to shove her paws into.  She has black boots covering her footpaws.

  Jewelry:  The wildcat has two small, brass hoop earrings, one in the base of each ear.  She wraps a leather strap around her right wrist for no particular reason, but she claims that one day she'll need to use it for something.

  Personality:  Ginger is a shy, quiet wildcat, who prefers being alone to being in a crowd.  She loves to sing, but is afraid to show her talents to anybeast.  But, the calico does play her lute in public.
  One thing that the cat is is a kind creature.  She tries to do her best to not be cruel or rude, but to be polite and generous to everybeast, even her enemies.

Nevfae is a black hedgehog with white tips to her prickles. Her right eye was lost in battle and she wears a faded black eyepatch over it. She wears a ruby pendant on a silver chain around her neck. Nevfae wears a green tunic with a brown belt. Over this she wears a cloak of seagull feathers that is in a state of neglect. She wears brown leather sandals that have dirt and mud caked in the soles. Nevfae carries a cherry wood bow and a bark quiver full of arrows.

OK so here

Name: It changes. (Some of them have been (Or will be  Wink) Max, Wing, Ivy, Nut, Moon, Thaw, Silver and Ash,) (I'll make sure to put down what ever it is at the moment to avoid confusion in the RP. Right now she is Nut (As in Nuts   ;))
Species: Squirrel
Gender: Female
Age: Her age is unclear but she seems around 15 or 20 but then again that could be way off.
Affiliation: Good
Weapon(s): A sharp thin Dirk but she hardly ever uses it for fighting.
Appearance: unkempt dark brown fur, strange big gold colored eyes, neat pointy white teeth, One or two scars on her body, and a white swirly tattoo on her left upper arm going up her neck and on to the bottom side of her face. She got it a bit back on a whim and will some times forget that it is there. She went threw a faze where she covered herself in face paint, Another where she attached feathers to her fur and cloths, once she was obsessed with shells. 
Clothing: She has a raged dark colored tunic with a rope belt.
Personality: She is insane, Extreme mood swings, very talkative although half the time she makes no seance, hyper, she talks to inanimate object and talks even if no one is about. She did go threw a faze where she pretended she was mute.
Dislikes/Likes: They are erratic. one minute she will hate something with a passion and the next she will love it or vice versa one minute she will be obsessed with something and the next she will forget it even existed.
Strengths: Extremely quick and agile even for a squirrel, can move around with out being seen or heard (if you can believe it) if she wishes.
Weaknesses: She is very forgetful, Insane, oblivious, Did I say forgetful.   ;)
History: Something happened in her past that drove her mad. She has lived alone all her life never staying in one place for long.

Appearance: Mycroft has light tan fur, with his eartips medium brown. He has green eyes and is good-looking, but no more than average.
Clothes: He usually wears a plain dark blue tunic and brown sandals.
Personality: Mycroft is a good husband and father. He loves Fern and supports her in whatever she does, though sometimes he feels she shouldn't try to do everything herself when she really needs help/advice. He frequently helps out around the Abbey, especially in the Orchard and Cellars. Mycroft is a former Long Patroller.

Name: Bridget
Species: Hare
Gender: Female
Age: 16
Weapon/s: N/A
Appearance: Bridget's fur is a light brown, with darker eartips.  She has green eyes, is of average height, and is reasonably pretty, but her nose is buried in a book so much that there's not many males who notice.  She has a small scar on the palm of her left paw from accidentally cutting herself on a rock when she was young.

Clothes: She doesn't really care what she wears as long as it's clean.  Usually it's a lavender tunic that a kindly old harewife made for her.

Personality: Bridget is, to put it simply, a nerd.  She wears small rectangular glasses and has read most of the lore books available.  She is definitely not a pacifist (she agrees that war is a necessary evil and would do anything to help her fellow hares with it), but she knows barely anything about fighting besides stuff she's read from books (which is a lot) and heard about from fellow hares.  She just doesn't have an interest in actually learning any fighting skills for real.  Bridget's not antisocial; in fact, she'll talk for hours if you let her about history, chemistry, etc.  But it's true that if she had the choice, she'd stay in her room reading all the time.

History: Until the age of nine, Bridget lived in the Highlands.  From a young age, she exhibited remarkable talent in reading and comprehension and soon exhausted her family's limited supply of books.  Sadly, when she was eight, her parents succumbed to a fever, leaving her to live alone with her uncle.  However, seeing that they were in near-complete isolation, he made the decision a season later to move south to Salamandastron (also, he'd privately entertained a dream all his life of joining the Long Patrol).  Bridget didn't share his dream, but they lived there happily until one day he fell prey to the sickness sweeping through Salamandastron.  That was nearly two seasons ago, and she's mostly gotten over her grief.

Other: She speaks with a much-softened Highland accent, a testament to her upbringing in the North.
