Redwall Abbey

Sage was taking a bit too long with his game so I decided to start mine up.

So without further ado here is Mafia: Mystery Hour! *Throws Confetti*

So the jist of the story is: You have all been taken captive by the government for a deadly experiment. You will all be locked in a pitch black room with nothing, or so you think. Two of you have been given an unnamed, small, extremely deadly gun with the instructions : Survive and you will be given a great reward. One other holds the same message and are armed with the same weapon. You will never be safe.  Two others have been provided this message: The more people you save the bigger reward you get. Come out with at least two of you alive. Don't be found out. and the remaining test subjects were told : You will be here for one week. Trust no one. Each of them had been assigned a color and were told to reply with that color as their name or there would be consequenses.

Posting anonymously sounds like a great idea, people can usually tell someone has a role or not if their game changes. Which gets them killed if they're too busy to post *cough*me the last few games*cough*

Okay, so we at least need 10 people in total for the game to run smoothly and 15 as the max. (Only because there are just 15 colors to choose from in the formatting.)

Actually there's a way to get around that, if more than 15 people wanna join.

How?

You type in the code yourself, and then the shade you want. I'd have to play around with it a little, as I don't remember quite how to do it. Plus there's other colors you can type in if you wanna get specific. Like tan. Not that you can read it, it's just the only one I remember.

EDIT: Found it! You have to know the hex code you want. But, thanks to a little searching, I found the place in Q&A thread where it explains it.

So, I'm gonna have to bow out. Sorry. :P

The pitch blackness, the piercing silence of the room crawled through the skin of each of the ten subjects. Some crying, some muttering to themselves trying to comprehend the entire situation, and the rest doing what little they could to comfort the crying ones. It all echoed in that cold heartless room. Suddenly, one of the subjects stood up "I know we've all been through things. Things no one needs to go through. So to lighten the mood I think we should each introduce ourselves. I'm... Er... Rose Pink." All of the heads turned when they heard Rose Pink speak up. They all slowly began to reply with names like Blue, Yellow, Red, Brown, Lime Green, Purple, Navy, Maroon, and Teal. After a couple of people replied they started to get skeptical. "This is... odd. Do any of you know if these colors mean anything?". One of the people comforting the crying ones spoke up, "I don't know, but we shouldn't say too much. You never know who might be watching". "Fair point. I guess we should go back to the somber dullness and sobbing as we were before. That sure helped". Lime green sat back down on the floor, hurt. "No need to be rude, they were only trying to keep all of us safe. There's only so much we know and what we do we shouldn't say. We should all just lie low till this all blows over. Or do you have a better idea on getting us out of here? ". "You really haven't noticed the fact that we've barely gotten any food? They're trying to make us desperate. They're waiting until we snap". Purple walked backed to the corner of the room. "I - I hadn't noticed that...". "There. Now, I think we should find the reason we're in here. Do any of you have any ideas?". The room was silent. "Well I guess I'm going to have to take control again. You know what I think? I think this is a test. I know for a fact you were all taken away and talked to before you were put in here. All of you are either untrusting or untrustworthy. And I have an ide-" A shower of sparks lit the room and Rose Pink fell to the floor. Screams and sounds of panic came from all corners of the room. Maroon, Red, and Blue rushed to Rose Pink. Feeling her for a pulse they felt the cold hard touch of steel. "Wha- what? She's a camera. Or a robot with a camera. Programmed with millions of phrases to tell us when we said the right thing". Maroon felt around some more and their hand grazed over a hole the size of a bullet. "I think I found the reason for her malfunction. She was shot." A collective gasp was heard "I-I really don't know what to think. But what I do know is that one of you is holding a weapon that could kill us all. It's only a matter of time before you do. I think it would be best to take a vote. Some people have been acting pretty suspicious don't you think?"

So, if nobody heard the gunshot, I'm assuming their gun is silenced? Great. What about muzzle flash? I'm guessing we can't see that either. :-\

I'm assuming the shower of sparks that lit the room were the muzzle flash.

But does the details of the gunshot really matter?

I would have thought that the sparks were from when the bullet hit the robot.

So, a few things.  We don't have much to go on.  Since we're all posting anonymously, we can't rely on other players' posting patterns in previous games.  We have nothing to go on but the clues in the story, which, as Skyblade would say, aren't always reliable.  But we don't have anything else, so...

I think Lime Green is a doctor, since they warn that someone may be watching.  It's unlikely that Maroon, Red or Blue killed Rose Pink, since they rushed to her after she was dead.  I'm not saying they are innocent, just that they're not responsible for the murder this time.

I am not voting yet.  I will have to think about it more, and see what other players have to say.

Even though we're anonymous, I think I know who at least two of them are,  based simply off their language styles. But anyway. :P

I've got a bad feeling about Maroon. See, how would Maroon know that Rose Pink was programmed to say "millions of leashes to tell us when we said the right thing"? No one has any idea what's going on or where they are, yet, Maroon knows the specifics of the discovered robot.

I'd vote Maroon as well, for the same reason as Lime Green.

I have to agree with Blue and Lime Green as well.

Going off what's already been said, I'm inclined to agree. It's supposed to be pitch black, and yet Maroon can tell what Rose Pink is on touch and sparks alone.

I think it was Purple, both in Rosie's story, and in the following conversation, they have acted too innocent for my liking.

Wait wait wait. So, according to you, because I didn't immediately start to screech out 'I'M GUILTY! I'M GUILTY! I DID IT!', I'm somehow the killer. Sure. Nice detective skills there.

I agree with navy, lime green, teal, and purple. Maroon seemed to know what was going on, but then again, we could be Jumping to conclusions. Two different people have a gun, and maroon might have been stating the facts as they saw them. If they got the message and the gun they would know that one other person has another weapon and is trying to push the blame onto that other person and away from themselves. So I am not sure. The only other person who I would say killed rose pink would be purple. They mentioned things we know we shouldn't say, so they have something they are hiding, whether good or bad I don't know, but after typing all this out I feel more inclined to choose purple (sorry purple). How does the voting work? Does the person with the most votes get eliminated by all of us? What if there is a tie? Also I am on a tablet right now, and I am not used to this keyboard so that is my excuse for all of my run on sentences and grammatical errors.

Maroon here. I think it's ridiculous to accuse me of murdering the robot just because I made some assumptions about how it worked. I don't like how only three players said anything in the narrative, it makes it a lot easier to point fingers. And that only makes this harder.
Now Line Green was one of the only ones who spoke up in the narrative, but it says they were one of the ones comforting another. If this is a clue, then it would mean they aren't a Mafia.
I refuse to vote until we have a better idea of this. Without thinking it through, we're just taking shots on the dark, and who knows who will end up dead that way.

As for everything else, this is our first round. It's always a shot in the dark in Mafia on the first round. But in operating this way we can see how our fellow players react to accusations and the story.

Okay I'll try and get the story up either today or tomorrow.

"I think it was Purple. They've been acting oddly and saying a couple odd things. Like how they mentioned things we know we shouldn't say, making it sound like they have something they are hiding, whether good or bad I don't know." Brown said feeling the weight of their decision upon her/him.
"I agree. They have been acting a little too quiet for my liking."
"Hey, just because I haven't immediately shouted my opinion doesn't mean I'm guilty. I could say the same for most of you guys if that was true."
"We were just putting our opinions out there. This is way more serious than one of those silly mafia games you've probably played. This is a matter of life and death."
Purple growled and started pacing the room.
"I know I didn't shoot Rose Pink. You just need to learn to believe me. Anyway, back to the investigating. Did any of you notice the way Maroon talked about how Rose Pink functioned and spoke to us? They said that Rose Pink was "Programmed with millions of phrases to tell us when we said the right thing." Oddly specific right? I think they're part of the organization who brought us here."
"I noticed that too. Hey Maroon, why did you say that?"
"I was just making an assumption. I mean, how else would she be able to talk to us? She seemed to be reply very accurately to what we said. Even some of the weird stuff."
"Okay, we have our two suspects. Let's take a general vote. I think it's Maroon. Their explanation was kinda fuzzy."
"Me too. They've also only been talking to us when we talk to them. A bit weird."
"Okay, I'm voting for Maroon but don't put this against me. It would have to be one or the other."
"That's a majority thinking it's Maroon. So, what do we do now? It's not like we have any weapons. Well, other than the killer I guess. But you know..."
"What if we knock 'em out until we're sure they're not the killer?"
The group that voted for Maroon agreed and started feeling around for them.
"Wait guys, let's talk about this some more. I was only making a simple observation. You don't need to do this-" Maroon said, dashing towards the metal wall to make sure no one could sneak up on him/her. The moment their hand touched the wall a powerful electric shock resonated through their body, lighting up the room for a moment. They then fell to the floor, dead.
"What just happened...what have we done..."
A man's voice blasted through a speaker above the door,
"Maroon was sent here to help you. To save all of those in danger. . .You murderers."

Yellow fell to the floor in shock, the echo of the man's voice still vibrating through the large room cementing the words into the subjects' minds. They all sat in shock for what felt like an hour, until one of them slowly spoke up,
"What...what just happened?"
"I... don't really know. 'They', whoever this orginization who put us in here is run by, are trying to confuse us. . . I think"
"Well, it's worked out so far. I truly don't know what's happening here. Or why after living a perfectly normal life I suddenly wake up one day to this madness." Blue said, hitting the wall in anger. They retracted and whimpered like a little girl because they just hit a solid metal wall with the back of their hand. The other subjects giggled at the sound of Blue's squealing.
"AGH!" They said, shaking off the pain, "Hey, what are you guys laughing at? It really hurts!"
"Sure it does." Navy said, grinning.
Teal rocked back and forth tittering in a relief of greatly welcomed laughter.
"Guys! Two people just died and you're laughing?" Blue remarked, stomping their foot on the floor.
"Hey, hey, we're sorry. We all want to spend our last moments happy. You can't blame us for laughing."
"Well, I can blame you if it's laughter mocking my pain."
Teal smiled. "Alright, but if we get out of here I'm never letting you live this down."
"I may not live at all after today!"
They continued this silly argument for another hour or so with Navy butting in every once in a while. Brown, Lime Green and Purple getting tired of Teal and Blue's nonsense, decided to get some sleep for they had not gotten any for the past day or so. Yellow eventually broke up the fight and suggested that they join the others and rest for a bit. They reluctantly agreed and they all lay down.

After a couple hours one of them silently got up and sneaked over to the other side of the room. They slowly put their gun up to Lime Green's temple and pulled the trigger. Shakily crawling back to where they were half sleeping before, they lay their head down on the cold floor and closed their eyes. 

A couple hours later everyone woke up. "That was so painful. Metal is not a good ma-" Brown quickly got up and forgot how cramped together everyone was and accidentally kicked one of the sleeping ones in the head. "Oh! I'm sorry Lime, Here let me... help..." They bent down to make sure they didn't kick the sleeper too hard. In doing that the felt a puddle of sticky stuff around them. Screaming, they jumped back. "What's wrong?" "Lime's been shot." Brown said, their whole body shaking. Everyone was in shock and panic, knowing the killer was one of them. "I... only know one way to solve this without fighting. Let's vote again."

Hey Rosie, seeing as how you told us who Lime Green is, who was Maroon, just out of curiosity?

Well, that's both doctors dead, and the two killers are still at large. I don't fancy our chances, now that we've got no way of escaping death.

I can't really see much in the way of clues in the story, although it does say that Brown, Lime, and I were the first asleep. Presumably, if one of us were the killer, we wouldn't go to bed so early (as the story states that the killer was only half-asleep), as it doesn't make sense for us to lie there for so long compared to the people who slept later. In other words, the killer themselves was probably someone other than Brown or I, although in theory any of the early sleepers (even Lime, if he hadn't have been killed) could technically have been Mafia, just those who didn't do any killing. But I still think the killer themselves is someone who went to bed later.

The other potential clue, which is most likely just a grain of salt at this point, is the fact that Teal and Blue are so cheerful despite all the deaths. Probably nothing, although it would make sense for the Mafia to be more cheerful, as they're less likely to die.

Okay that's creepy. I was sleeping right next to a dead person for who knows how long and I didn't even know it. Great. Also, we're out of Doctors! We are all going to die if we don't make the right choices. Another thing I noticed, was that Yellow was the one who wanted the fighting party to go to sleep, so maybe they wanted to get them out of the way so Lime Green could be killed. The one "good" thing now, is that our odds of choosing the mafia are higher now. :P

I "saw" them when I went to sleep and I guess I assumed they hadn't moved since then. I have noticed that a lot of things in the story haven't been consistent with the darkness and everything. I have nothing to say about us going to bed early, but I did notice that Yellow never went to bed, unless they were grouped in with the "They reluctantly agreed and they all lay down." I'm not sure, but they have the only "obvious" evidence, so I vote for Yellow. They also haven't posted at all yet, but I am not sure what to make of that.

You know what I'm going to vote for Yellow because they haven't posted anything yet. Not that anyone else is. . . . .
