The Masked Wolf was Very cunning, strong, and brave. His army was adapted to all weakness they may have. His horde of, foxes,rats, stoats, weaseals, hawks, crows, sparrows, and pine maten was almost perfect (Almost). He had eight generals, one for each species. Under each of those generals was two leaders. Under each leader was five commanders. And under each Commader was three score of vermin. That made his horde 4800 strong (Ungnatt Trutans horde was bigger). Each Specis had their own job. Birds were scouts, Foxes were healers, rats were warriors, stoats were builders/trackers, pine martens were strategist, and weaseals were the animals that got sacrafice (but they did not know that).
The Masked Wolf was very lucky, except his brother had taken about a 1/4 (1200) of his horde. Now The masked wof had to track him and slay both him and the horde. The Masked wolf also had a secret weapon. Way back when, he had found three otters willing to serve him. The Masked wold seemed indestructable (seemed is the key word) but in reality he was lacking one thing; knowledge of Redwall and of the Badger tribe that they were headed towards.

At redwall there was a tradegy...Abbot____ had just passed away. Right before he died he name this The Winter of __________________. Now they had to have a nameday feast, with everybeast feeling glum. To make matters worse Friar Cider was messing up on all of his meals.

Ronja was the fox general of the masked wolfs horde. He strode up to his leader. "Sire, we have found tracks that thee brother might have used." He said formally.

Grittian Creekbound was walking through the flatlands towards Redwall. He was covered in blood, after killing another fierce beast from his Death Book.
He pulled the book out from his pocket, looking at all of the names. Most had been ticked. He took out his pen and ticked off Terrius Pawslash.
"Let's hope he settles in well in the Dark Forest...heh heh heh...." Creek muttered.
He looked at the name below Pawslash's. The Masked Wolf. He put his book back in his pocket and pulled out a his two swords.
He was ready to kill.
"Well Ronja...good job. Now ah want you to take Geal, General of the Stoats, and Hali, General of the Eagles, and track those prints. When you find something report back tae me." After Ronja walked away A little Rat walke up to him. "Sir the otters are bullying me" With that The Masked Wolf unsheathed his Double-bladed sword from his back, and cut off the Rat's tail. He then picke him up by the neck and threw him into the fire. To finish him of The Masked Wolf threw a kniife at the rat's head. "Do I look like a your mum tae you" he said with a cool voice. Just then another rat stood up. Knowing he was going to testify, The Masked Wolf dispatched him with a swipe of his sword. He then said "any other beast want to Trifle with THE MASKED WOLF...No th say mah warcry". "THE MASKED WOLF IS NOT TO BE TRIFLED WITH...IF YOU DO YOU WILL DIE!!!! KIL, KILL, KILL FOR THE MASKED WOLF!!!"
"Hmmmm. This must be Mossflower Wood." Said Creek. "Home of Redwall Abbey. Maybe I could attack them...Let's see if any are in My Death Book..."
He pulled out his book, then was hit by an arrow.
"So, Rikken, you've made it." He said, pulling out the arrow. "Do ya wanna die?"
A rat leapt out of a tree.
"So, how many have you killed since last time?" Tryann Rikkenshaft said, ignoring the question. "I managed to kill Scoorenn first. Ha!"
"Well, when I kill you, I can take all the credit for the ones you killed when I kill you." Creek replied.
"I'm afraid that won't happen. The poison from my arrow will kill you."
"Oh really?"
Creek cut across his arm where the arrow hit. The poisoned blood flew everywhere.
"Hahahaha! Nice try, but I survive this time." He said. "Now, I have a craving for death, so I will kill you."
Creek ran at Rikken.
Rikken just stood there.
Creek slashed his sword in front of him, then Rikken blocked the blow with his knife. Then Creek slashed the other sword, and Rikken blocked it with another knife.
If Rikken moved his knives away, he would be cut in half by Creek's swords. If Creek moved his swords away, what would Rikken do?
Creek moved his swords. Rikken simply smiled, then scampered away up the tree.
Creek new it was no use chasing him. He had more important beasts to kill.
Ronja took off, bringing Geal and Hali with him. He also brought a score of rat and weasels. Geal was complaining. "Why do I have to go?" He moaned pitifully. "Cause the wolf told me to."
Ooc: can we put the name of our character before our part of the story? I think it'd make it easier to follow along. I'm new at this so I don't know much and I'm not the best at following each character :-\
Lucas Valderez: insane mongoose and snakeslayer
BIC: little to Creek's knowledge, the reason Rikken smiled and went up the tree wasn't to escape Creek. No, this was much bigger. Creek turned around just in time to see a massive Adder swaying above him.
"Come my prey, let ssssssinder show you your eteerrrnall faaaaate.... SsssssSSSSSS"
Creek swung his sword and managed to deflect the first few blows but an adders bite is extremely strong as well as fast. Creek was pushed to the ground from one of the adder's strikes. It struck again, but it never touched Creek. A mongoose had tackled the snake and brought its moving head away from Creek's.
Lucas Valderez, snakeslayer, bit hard into the back of Sinder's head, holding on to the adder with his claws. Sinder's head shook violently back and forth and launched Lucas into the tree Rikken had just climbed up in. Sinder struck out at Lucas but instead of tasting mongoose, he tasted Rikken who had fallen from the tree! Taking advantage of the moment, the mongoose shook his head and lunged forward, spearing Sinder in his middle (not a weapon spear), launching Rikken out of its mouth and to the feet of Creek...

Creek looked down to Rikken.
"Heh heh heh...I've got you now..." He said, raising his sword, ready to kill.
"Wait!" Rikken shouted. "Why don't we at least thank this guy?"
"Yeah, I'll thank him all right..."
Creek then ran towards Lucas, holding his twin swords up high, about to slash through his skin...
OCC: Lucas won't die. I don't want you to kill Creek though, I have his death scene planned.
OOC: I wouldn't do that to you. Are we aloud to hurt another character though? Or befriend anybeast?
BIC: Sinder had its coils around the mongoose and was trying to force its fangs into his body. However Lucas Valderez wasn't going to let it. His long arms held the adder's open jaws held at a distance. But he was losing strength fast. Seeing another creature "running to his aid" with swords held up to strike, he acted swiftly. Just as the creature was about to slash down, he moved Sinder's head in the way to take the blow, killing the adder instantly. Freeing himself of the coils, the mongoose turned to the creature who'd just helped him,
"yeeheehee, ye got ole Sinder nice an' good ye di-oh I need that!" grabbing Creek's sword from his stunned paw (adders have very hard heads) Lucas walked over to the dead snake's head and started cutting out the poison sack.
Vulto strode down the path in Mossflower Wood, strumming his harp as he thought up a new song. "West the Wanderer came from, leaving all to free roam, and now fifty season gone, he is returning home West at a run...no, that sounds silly. Hmm." He continued walking.
The Masked Wolf woke up with a blade to his thoat. The owner of the blade was in an argument with his companian, unaware that he just woke up. Ever so slightly The Masked wolf took out the poision blade from a secret holder in his bed and stabed both of them...
juniper strolled on some random path leading in the direction of redwall abbey she knew her sister was there without her eating some wonderful lunch..........oh well she could cook pretty well herself although it was not redwall fare.She glanced at the sun it was midday as a wanderer she knew these sort of things she stoped in a small sunlit area and unpacked her small compact haversacinside was:apples,cheese,bread,mint,water and a pastie.She started a fire with some kindling and her dirk she started mint tea humming a song to herself then sat down to lunch wishing for some sort of company she had been at the plains in the west and before that salamandastron visiting her friends the long patrol.OOC:can someone run into her....like vulto or something?BIC: Aida would be dying to see her some sparrow had brought the news that the abbot had died.
Not Far away Harraie, King of the Simian Empire was out on his own personal patrol on horseback then ceased at a nearby clearing. He dismounted his stead and got a campire fire ready, with a pot and hot water to enjoy his daily cup of afternoon tea.
Meanwhile, Creek was glaring very angrily at Lucas. He had blocked his attack with an adder's head. This beast had talent.
He put his other sword up to Lucas's neck.
"I am going to kill you now." He said. "Is that okay with you?"
OOC: This is from the viewpoint of Lucas Valderez, insane mongoose and snakeslayer
BIC:Lucas turned around, Prehaps this creature wasn't trying to protect him... O well, why would an insane mongoose care?
"hehehe What exactly is death? I've always been curious to know... It's one of those things nobeast can tell you about first hand. It is a mystery i guess... actually I would be ok with death. But not now, I'm not in the mood to die today... SIMON BE QUIET!!! Sorry that was Simon, he lives in my head heeheehee... He's a cute little ant, I raised him myself, it's a tragic story what happened, really... Anyway, I could tell you all about that later. maybe you can help me, here, hold this."
With one motion, the mongoose ripped out the adder's poison sack from the roof of its mouth and tossed it to Creek. Leaving him no choice but to catch it, or be covered with adder venom, which nobeast with open wounds wants, do they?
OOC: where is Rikken when all of this is happening? I thought he was trying to kill Creek?
Rikken then leapt out from the background at caught the poison sack.
"Thanks for throwing that, I collect them." He said.
Creek moved his swords away from Lucas's neck. If the idea of death did not scare this mongoose, it was worthless.
"I'm outta here." Creek said. "I have wolves to kill."
He ran away from the scene.
Rikken stared in the eyes of Lucas for a moment, then ran away too, but in a different direction to Creek.
Harraie heard a clash of metal and steal from over the distance, He finished every drop of tea from his cup and mounted back on his horse and rode to where the commotion took place.
Vulto was heading for Salamandastron, the ancient home of the badger lords. He continued strumming his harp, thinking up a new song.
Lucas got up, he was still holding Creek's sword, which he must've forgotten, o well, he'd be back. However he wished he had the poison sack too. Treating himself to a quick snack of dead adder and stuffing the rest he could carry in his sash, he walked in Rikken's direction, conversing casually with Simon, the ant inside of his head about the events that just took place, and if his mother was there or not... He couldn't remember, neither did Simon.
Rikken was out of arrows. It was time to make some more. He picked up a few twigs, then looked around the trees for a bird. He then spotted a pigeon, which he threw a knife at and killed. If fell and Rikken used it's feathers for the arrow. He then took some spikes out of his pocket and fixed them on the tip of the arrows.
Then he took out the poison sack and dipped the arrows in. Now he had a set of poisoned arrows, ready to kill with.

"me neither," he replied, "I'd be careful though, he looked rather tough and will probably come back for what's his. We should be cautious and take watches over the night. You can never tell with these beasts."
"you worry too much Simon, he seemed friendly, we had a nice conversation about death and he was about to help me make some medecin out of the venom when that other beast came by and took it from us."
"I wonder where he is?... Which way did he go Lucas?"
"judging by the sun's position and the wind, I'd say Weast, or maybe Nouth, nope it as Weast-Nouth along the rock a few miles back..."
"You idiot! He went West towards the path! See, I knew you weren't paying attention!"
"Simon you're making me feel bad! Don't make me come in there!"

Lucas started hitting his head with his closed paw

Just then, Lucas tripped on a root, sending him sprawling down a hill and into a strange creature with a harp on the path.

King Harraie stopped right passed a a cedar. He pulled out his blade, kicked his feet out from the stirips and stood tall on the addle of his steed, observing the nearby scene of the battle.

The handsome mongoose stood up, dusting himself off he looked around.
"....have any of ye seen a rat with an adder's poison sack running around lately? I'm trying' to find him, maybe somebeast can help?... "After a small and rather awkward silence that followed, he tried again, "oh, where are my manners!? My name is Lucas Valderez, snakeslayer. And this is my friend, Simon" he said pointing to his head, "ye can't see him, he lives in my head. Sorry mum, didn't mean to bump into y- Simon you're right! This ain't my mum at all! Must be an otter, my apologies. Who exactly are all of ye?"
Vulto rolled his eyes, then strummed a lilting note on his harp. "I'm Vulto Naraz, Wanderer from the West. I'd say I'm pleased ta meet ye, but I'm not quite sure whether or not to kill ye all or say hi." He glanced at the mongoose. "Just what did ye mean by runnin' into me like that? I could have killed you!"
"forgive me vulto, you see Simon and I got in an arguement and he tripped me! We fell down this here hill and crashed into you. I mean ye no harm, and I'm sure Simon doesn't either, right Simon?... Hey! Watch yer mouth before I hit my head on a tree and bounce you around inside there!" turning back to Vulto, "sorry, he's a short tempered one, he won't hurt ye. Where are you three bound?"
Vulto twirled the quarterstaff that he was holding. "I'm not bound anywhere with the two o' them. I'm headed by meself out to Salamandastron."
The Masked Woolf was pised. He woke everybeast up that was in his horde. He gave them a strong lecture on what will happend to tratoiors. And the he slew 100 weaseals
Harraie continued to ride while holding his blade and up on his saddle. Looking side to side and sicover's the Masked Wolf and his army.
OOC: was Harraie with us? I thought he was? I'll just pretend like he rode away without saying anything.
BIC: Lucas didn't seem to notice Harraie ride away,"Whats that Simon?" he said looking slightly downward and turning from side to side, "But we haven't even given the other to introduce himself we shouldn't be rude!... Ok ok quit yer complaning Ill ask again after..."
As Harraie rode away he lied low behind a bolder right after he spoted others comming.
Creek was walking along when an adder slithered in front of him.
"Oh for goodness sake, not another one..." Creek said, reaching for his swords.
Then he realised that one was missing.
"What a drag!" He shouted. "That mongoose still has my sword!"
The last time Creek had fought with one sword was when he killed his father.
His father owned a magnificent sword that he had never used. It lay in a case on the wall gathering dust.
Creek had always wanted to kill someone. It had always been his dream. His parents had trouble with this, because he always tried to kill little Tyrann Rikkenshaft next door.
One day, Creek took his father's sword and broke into Rikken's house. He tried to kill him, but then Creeks father burst in and pulled Creek back. Creek span round a jabbed the sword into his father's chest.
Creek thought of this whilst the adder was getting ready to pounce. Creek then ran at the adder with the sword. Whilst he was running, the adder seemed to turn into his father.
After Creek's dad was killed, Creek stared at the body on the floor. Rikken then spoke.
"Grittian," He said. "How does that make you feel? Killing your own father?"
There was a long silence.
"It made me feel......" He said. "It made me feel........It made me feel....so good..."
Creek then burst into laughter.
"And I'll kill you next! BWAHAHAHA!"
Creek should have felt exited. He was going to kill his father all over again! But he felt sad. Ashamed. All of those types of feelings. He stopped running towards his father.
Rikken looked at Creek.
"Well guess what..." Rikken said. "I'm going to kill more beasts than you."
He got a knife from the kitchen and killed his parents too.
Creek shoved his sword into the ground. His father turned back into an adder.
"So it was all an illusion..." Creek said, as the adder leapt at him, with his mouth gaping wide.
Creek thrust his sword through the roof of the adder's mouth and through his head.
He vowed never to fight with just one sword again, due to the bad memories. It was time to get his other sword back.

"Do you mid if I drop in?" He asked. "I am here to retrieve my sword, mongoose."

BIC: Lucas ignored Creek at first, "o yes the sandstone palace, I loved it there. They saved Simon and I a few seasons back. Say can any of ye help me catch this thief? He stole an adder's poison sack from me and I was hoping I could use it to make some medecin." pulling down the neck of his vest, he revealed a small scratch on his upper chest. "hours are numbered ye see, and I'm not in the mood to die today. Since the wound is so small, I have a day or so at best, but any later than that and the adder's venom will take its toll and then no more me! Yeeheehee!" after this, he turned to Creek, "if ye goodbeasts help me, I'll give ye any medicine left. And believe me when I say it'll get you out of tough situations. However, the longer it takes to catch him, the worse the wound will become, making it necessary for me to have more. What do ye say?"

ooc: Yeah Harraie did ride away, then hid behind a bolder (Rock) I'm equally confused for I have no idea what you guys want my character to do, do you want him to be compition with the other vermin, want him as an enemy to all, or an ally to either one?

The powerfully built, black otter cracked his quarterstaff in half and threw the pieces into the bushes. "I already told ye, I'm headed back to Salamandastron. I've been gone at Redwall fer a long time, and I want to know how the mountain's doing."
"No." Said Creek in reply to Lucas. "I don't want to help you. I want to kill you."
Lucas replied to the otter's response, "well sorry I bothered ye! Tell the badger lord that ole Valderez is thinking of him and thanks again for his help, I found the adder today and slayed him with the help of me ole pal." he said, pointing at Creek. The mongoose smiled, "will ye do that for me?" Turning back to Creek, he spoke "Well if it makes ye feel any better, ye won't have to kill me if we don't find that poison sack! Ye seem to know the rat, any idea as to where I can catch him? Prehaps I can give ye something in return for this knowledge?..." Lucas balanced the tip of the sword on his paw finger and reached out to Creek as if to return it, then threw it up and snatched it away before Creek could do anything.

Yes sir that's him! Nice ole fellow he is, though it's been a few seasons since I've seen him last. helped me track down an adder and saved my life! You know us mad beasts, always getting ourselves in tough spots! And do forgive me, my full name is Lucas Valderez, snakeslayer.
Creek couldn't stand all of this friendly chat any more. He slashed his sword towards Lucas' arm.
OCC: You can choose whether it hits you or not, I don't mind.
Lucas jumped back, but not fast enough, the blade caught his forearm, not deeply however. He and Creek went back and forth, stabbing, parrying and slashing at each other. However, Lucas was no swordsbeast like Creek was, and was losing ground fast. something had to happen before he was run through by Creek's blade.

Vulto suddenly leapt forward and swung a broadsword, blocking Creek's blade. He bared his sharp little fangs, his eyes glinting. "There better had be a good reason for ye attacking 'im all of the sudden," he hissed. "'E wasn't doing no harm to anybeast."

The Masked Wolf woke up in a hurry. He grabbed his broadsword and flew out his tent. Out of nowhere The Masked Wolf had an idea. "Where is that fox Ronja?" yelled The Wolf "Get his scrawny little scheming tail to mah tent ASAP".
All of a sudden the Horde was up and about. The Wolf stormed off towards Glug, the general of the Rats. "Get your lazy rats and get in Marching formation. We are following Ronja!!!"

Vulto Naraz, the black otter, had been watching the fighting for a while, and now he was sick of it. "Eualiaaaaaaa!!!!" He lunged forward and swung a clenched fist, hitting Creek solidly between the ears. Creek dropped like a stone, and he squinted at Valderez. "I don't care how bloodthirsty ye all be, there'll be no fightin' and slayin' each other whilst I'm 'ere." The tall otter limped over to a thicket and took out a knife, cutting himself a new quarterstaff.
Stormig down The path that Ronja took, the masked wolf and his horde heard a warcry. The Wolf ordered his horde to hide then The Wolf went towards the sound. He saw a black otter. The wolf moved so fast that lightnig would have had a hard time keeping up with him. In a single slash of his broad sowrd The masked wold Broke the otter's stave.
OOC: hope it is alrite if'n ah break his stave
juniper swung out of the trees any vermin was a foe! Though she didnt know about the two creatures:lucas and harriae. She jumped down beside vulto and threw him another stave and waited for what happened next with the masked wolf. She had heard about his horde, causing alot of trouble.
BIC:Looking at tha squirrel The masked Wolf thought the he yelled"THE MASKED WOLF IS NOT TO BE TRIFLED WITH...IF YOU DO YOU WILL DIE!!!! KILL, KILL, KILL FOR THE MASKED WOLF!!!" With that about 3,000 vermin ran from the tree line and disarmed the two beast.

Vigorsly The Masked wolf bit his victims...

With one good look at The wolf's face Harraie, repulsed, barely vommited aside from lucus.
The masked wolf put on his mask and tied up the three beasties.
The mongoose was bleeding purfusely from his wound. Something had to be dne before he bled to death.

Creek stared in horror at the Masked Wolf. He was even bloodthirstier than him (Creek)! Creek didn't know what to do. He could have ran. But that would be cowardly. He could have attacked. But that would result in death. His own death.
Before he could decide what to do, a poisoned arrow hit The Masked Wolf on the shoulder. Creek looked to where it came from. Rikken was there, standing in a tree, shooting arrows at The Masked Wolf.
Creek wouldn't let Rikken kill his prey!
OCC: Obviously TMW won't die. It's too early. Find a way to get the poison out.
Vulto attacked Harie and knocked him unconscious.
Juniper was to flabergasted to do anything, then as vulto came from somewhere she defended harrie, she wasnt used to going around defending goodbeasts from goodbeasts she didnt know what else to do at a time like this, in fact she didnt have time for this, they needed to escape at once before the masked wolf could kill them and get to Redwall and kill the redwallers and her sister.She shouted at Vulto (to stop) and quickly untied creek and began to sling stones at the masked wolf's horde they needed a plan and fast!OOC:sorry to do that but we cant all just die here ;)
Creek shoved Winifred to the side.
"I need to kill the Wolf!" He said, running back into the battle.
winifred regained her balance and joined creek in trying to slay the wolf
Rikken kept on shooting the Masked Wolf, until h was out of arrows.

Blood fell out of the tree, followed by a severed head.

Creek held both swords to the side, closed his eyes and ran. He was badly injured along the way, but many vermin were killed.

Creek finnaly caught up with the Masked Wolf and drove both swords right through his heart. Creek looked in his Death Book and ticked him off. But there was one more box to tick. Next to it was the name Grittian Creekbound. He drew his swords out of The Masked Wolf's chest and put them in his own. Blood spouted onto the book, forming a tick shape.
The Death Book was complete.
THE END
But the masked Wolf cam eback to life and killed Creeek. The Masked wolf was immune to dieing
